This is the first authentic French bakery I have ever found in the US (and I have been looking for one for the past 5 years.) The staff here are so friendly, and the food is to die for. The croissants are light and airy, all of the French pastries taste like they're straight from France. If you want French pastries or baked goods this is the place!

I am so glad I stopped in today! Friends recommended it to me and it was worth it! The people were so friendly and nice! The pastries are amazing! They gave me a sample of an almond strawberry brioche bread and it was like a little buttery piece of heaven. I had to buy the loaf! It would be perfect for Easter. They said it’s brioche but it was more like brioche in steroids! It was way more than just a brioche! I will be back!!

And I mean like 90% of what I try I end up ultimately being unimpressed but in the name of not driving my husband insane I’ve stopped being captain critical. All of this to say.... This place is completely legit. Their Kouign-amann is second to none. Hats off to you for not sacrificing your quality for cost.

Matt Boosalis and his crew are true Artisan Bakers. They only use butter as a shortening and have phenomenal selection of high-quality pastries and breads. It is definitely worth going out of your way to find this little gem in Dayton Ohio. Our favorites are the Kouign Ammans, croissants and oatmeal cookies.

New location, same exeptional baked goods that we were used to, yet some great new treats. If you happen to live in or pass-through Dayton, hands-down, it is worth the stop! I recommend their buttery flaky croissant treats like the turkey egg and cheese breakfast croissant, their unbelievably tasty croissant dough monkey bread, and of course the classic chocolate croissant. Their scones are quite a treat as well, and I recommend trying the ginger and the power scone. My favorite breads are the French loaf, and the light, hearty (not-so typically sweet) multi-grain loaf. I will admit, i never cared much for scones or croissants until i tried Boosalis Baking and Cafe! The owner Matt Boosalis really cares about quality baking, and just simply loves to bake and meet his customers. :D

Very friendly people there. Best baguette I have found in Ohio. Good prices and good coffee ( Not great but very good). No non dairy creamer/milk. The other baked items looked tasty, but as I need to avoid dairy, I didn't try any.

I occasionally stop in and pick up treats on my way to work. Everything they make is extraordinary. Hands down the best place to get authentic Kouign Amann in the region. Their cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes are also best I've had (the chocolate-orange one especially. The owner loves to teach about the pastries and give recommendations.

Day Cin Vacuums

Matt and his staff always put out 100% for his customers. Even after they close the work goes on. I went to another bakery not long ago. Everything looked great, but no taste. So I asked Matt, how could this be? Matt explained, a lot of bakeries use the same ingredients, although the look is there, the taste is not. Boosails's uses the best ingredients and real butter. It's not uncommon to see Matt or his staff start their day at 4:00 am to bring their customers that day's best. Boosails also make some great sandwiches, and all made from scratch.

A friend brought me here for lunch. I ordered a cranberry Turkey sandwich. It was Turkey served on a delicious cranberry bread. Very fresh. My friend ordered the chicken salad which is her favorite. The bakery items looked delicious, but I abstained. It's a place and the staff was very friendly. Parking was available or front. They also had salads, breakfast croissants, kids meals and desserts. I'll go back. It was fairly busy around lunch time. You can order to go.

I've been to bakeries all around the world and have had many delicious pastries. Boosalis is the best I have ever had. The croissants and Queen Almond that I had yesterday were mind blowing. I plan to come as often as possible and buy plenty. It's no wonder it's a 4.9 plus rating here because they are the best out around. Take the advice of these reviews and stop in.

They have wonderful hand made, fresh croissants, I could not resist ordering one stuffed with Havarty and ham. This is a great place for special ordering breakfast and light lunches. They cater and deliver, too. Their hours are not posted but management says they are open 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.

We have been traveling the US and Canada, and have now covered over 30,000 miles in the past couple years, stopping in and looking for the best bakeries. The quality of the bake goods here at Boosali’s is by far the most superior and exceptional we have found. The texture and taste make me very happy I have stopped in today. Look at the pictures of these items too. It was so good, I went back the next day too, also buying bread. You don't have to travel to Europe to find an awesome bakery. One of the best anywhere is right here in Dayton! Everything is made fresh daily from simple ingredients you could find on the shelf and baked to perfection. My favorite is the European coffee cake, but everything I've tried is delicious...and I've tried a lot. The owner is an awesome, down to earth, hard working, customer focused, generous, humble person who treats people like they are his next door neighbor. This is a fantastic bakery. If you’re looking for true French pastries made with high quality ingredients, this is the place to go. I recommend the Kouign Amman, which is like a croissant but baked in a cup with a caramelized bottom. They do carry scones, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, muffins and cookies, but their French pastries are superb! The owner is very friendly and welcoming and the shop is clean and comfortable. So thankful we have a place like this in the Dayton area.

I think this is hands down the best place to get a pastry in Dayton. The authenticity of the baguettes and croissants lets you know there is nothing but quality here. They have a friendly atmosphere with great service. If they served espresso coffee drinks, I'd never go anywhere else in the mornings!

Exceptional bakery! Uncompromising quality of ingredients and workmanship. It is hard to find a kouign amann on France, let alone the U.S., but Matt Boosalis makes them. They are smaller than I have had in France, but the taste is superb. His other French pastries are wonderful, indistinguishable from the flavors I remember from France. In addition to the fine selection of "viennoiseries". They make financiers, Madeleines, scones, cream puffs, and other classics. Pretty much everything but donuts. Good coffees. Come early, things still out. Great source for Greek olive oil.

Arrived a few minutes prior to opening today. Matt Boosalis opened the door and invited me in. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (Bacon, Eggand Cheese. But I came for the Kouign-ammann’s and Croissants. I bought a few scones, some chocolate croissants and some Kouign-Amman’s for the office. These products are fantastic. Go there now! You will not be disappointed unless they are sold out.

The owner, Matt, could not be more hardworking and considerate of his customers. He is nearly always at his bakery and if something isn't perfect he fixes it immediately. I have seen one post questioning his character and I found it upsetting. I would like to put that question to rest. He truly cares about his customers and the quality of his business. Stop by his bakery and you will see. It is a hidden gem.
