The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a bag full of freshly yummy cookies for our long car ride. The food was amazing as well. Best stop in Devils Lake!

I always stop here when in town. They have a quality menu of really good food and baked goods. The atmosphere is very nice, new and cozy (there's a fireplace in the middle). Easy to get to from the highway and near downtown.

I just have to laugh at the people who compare the food and prices to Old Main. Old Main's soups and sandwiches are mediocre at best. The food here is simply outstanding. Fresh homemade style bread, soup, and salads every day. There are always 6 different incredible soups to choose from. Things like lobster bisque, spiced black lentels, yellow squash and curry, along with standards like chicken noodle, tomato basil, and chili in the mix. On top of that they typically have a plate of the day. I had their homemade Portobello stuffed ravioli and it was an explosion of flavor for $10.99. "Fancier" restaurants would happily charge twice that price for pasta they only claim is homemade. Devils Lake truly lucky to have a place like this.

Okay WOW. Did NOT expect to find food this good in North Dakota anywhere outside of Fargo. The two cooks there are incredible, I absolutely guarantee you will not taste food like this anywhere else. This is not some homemade "applebees" or "perkins" type of restaurant, it is a classy atmosphere, with straight up 5 star dishes for prices I'd be happy to pay for MORE for. Just moving to Devils Lake, "The Ranch" was really the only good food in DL, until I found this gem. Nothing against the other local spots like Mr and Mrs Jays, or Old Main Cafe but they just dont' hold a candle. I'm sure locals will read this and say they are awesome places, and they are for a quick burger joint. But if you're looking for a quality tasting experience, especially if you're used to REALLY good food from 4-5 star restaurants in bigger cities, this is your spot.

ZERO STAR NOT POSSIBLE SO one star First visit - good. Second visit, the next day . . . TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! The next time I wait 20 minutes for a salad that is right there in the window/ready and a cup of soup AFTER PAYING $5.99 for that cup of soup - SOMEBODY LOCK ME UP! Really, $10 for a salad AND THEY FORGOT MY SALAD DRESSING and $5.99 for a cup, not a bowl, a cup of soup!!! YEAH, IN DL EVERY DAY BUT THAT IS THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENS! Old Main, downtown, has a GREAT soup buffet and it is reasonably priced!
