You will see all the information of real people who have information of the services of Marie Blachere (Bakery) in New York.
As of day the firm has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and that score has been based on 83 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is nearly the best one, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the evaluation is very accurate. If people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Bakery belongs to the category of Bakery.
Welcome to #GreatNeck Thank you for opening here!
Delicious, our table was dirty but other than that...
We tried the chocolate crossaint that was so fresh it was still warm. To die for best crossaint I’ve ever eaten. And don’t even get me started with the beignet filled with raspberry jelly. UNREAL. This place deserves 10 stars. I would visit New York again just to come back here.
Love the pizza
Awesome
They need to refine the ingredients and remove the fat. Protect your clothes, this oily cake is dangerous.
Large selection of pastries. Good prices
Very good croissants.
Delicious!!
Close your eyes and smell, you are in Paris
Great selection
Baguettes ($2.20) are wonderful and tasty but the Pain au chocolat ($2.50) was just disappointing...Need to try other stuff next time...
Excellent pies
A truly continental outpost in the wilds of Great Neck. The pastry is dead on- croissants buttery and flaky, breads appropriately chewy with a nice crumb and baking chocolate that actually tastes like chocolate. Both kids and adults will leave more than satisfied.
I heard the rumors and heard to sr for myself.... yes, they are true!!! OMG....I made my first visit yesterday ro check out Marie Blachere and as soon add I stepped through the all glass front door, my senses were wowed by the smell of baking breads and looking st all the tasty treats. And best of yet, I think that their prices are amazing as well! After walking around and taking it all in, I decided to try their pizza, which was delicious, even though I expected the crust to have more of that crunch texture.... not enough to take away a star however. What I really wanted to dig into were the breads that just looked out of this world amazing with a crusty top that you can just die for. The Croissants looked amazing as well. Many of the items are buy 3 get 1 free. The tarts looked amazing as well and their sandwiches are tremendous and a great deal at $7. Now my problem is... how many troops will it take for me to try everything!!!@ Yum Yum!
Just passed by today. Yellow sign on the door says closed by order of the NYC health department.
Hi quality, French style, baked breads and cakes. However, limited availability of small, individual French classic items such as eclair or Opera. Coffee is available only in paper cups and there's no sitting accommodations.
Nobody picks up when you call so we actually do not know if it is open or close??? When there 2 or 3 weeks ago and even though it was supposed to be open it was not!!!

Needed a quick bite before a movie at IFC and the line for Joe’s was out the door so I swooped in here and had a really tasty chicken sandwich on a croissant. The staff are also kind and filled up my water bottle for me! Will definitely swoop in again.
Great service and quality. Sandwichs and wraps are on point. Try the leonade ices tea, very refreshing on a hot day. And the brownies are so rich and creamy. Grwat spor for breakfast or lunch.
Decent selection of breads and pastries, friendly staff
Très authentique boulangerie off to a good start with a great selection of breads, croissants, brioche, and some American cookies and brownies. On the savory side, they have little pizzas and sandwiches.
Commercial French bakery.Unfortunately has limited items and took at least 2 item off from their list.Could be more productive if had better management and didn't opened rooftop yet?!!!.
Pastries are decent (especially the mini beignets) but the drip coffee is awful, tastes charred and burnt. You get what you pay for I suppose?
If you enjoy great bread and pastry, this is the best place to go to. Also the pies look terrific. Excellent sandwiches are also available. Easy to understand why this chain is so successful in France.
They received only three stars because online they make it seem like they sell cakes, but they don’t (or not as of yet). But the croissants and such are phenomenal.
A happy and needed addition to Great Neck. The pastries, sandwiches and other baked goods are wholesome, delicious and offer an authentic taste of France--all for very affordable prices. The French staff is courteous, skilled and committed--very professional. The local hires are friendly and hard working. Marie Blachere is now my favorite and happiest place in Great Neck to grab a bite, get a coffee and meet friends. I can't wait until rooftop patio opens! Thank you for bringing such a gem to Great Neck!
Very special place with real taste of France the real breakfast (boicot Starbucks)
Marie Blachere is awesome! Welcome to Great Neck! The food is out of this world and the atmosphere is terrific!
(Translated by Google) Newly opened, very friendly staff, huge French baguette with ham, etc. for $ 6-highly recommended. The other products from the bakery looked very delicious (Original) Neu eröffnet, sehr freundliches Personal, riesiges französisches Baguette mit Schinken usw. für 6 $ -sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die anderen Produkte aus der Backstube sahen sehr lecker aus
Authentic French cafe with friendly service, great pastries (and savory baked goods), and very casual atmosphere. Quick service and good prices too.
Fresh warm bakery. I really like this place.
There are lots of pastries, but the service procedure is a bit counterintuitive. Stand near what you want, someone will come over to bag your item and then it is handed off to the cashier.
This is an amazing please good food. However May i suggest to make your place either kosher or remove any kind of meat or animal oil Or shortening from your products. That certainly brings a big percentage of local people .
I love this place!!
Is incredibly good
Amazing Boulangerie. It's like walking into a high end bakery in the outskirts of Paris. A feast for the eye as well as your palate. I tried the sourdough bread which was delicious. As well as a mozzarella and tomatoes sandwiche on a baguette; equally appetizing. Great Neck needed a breath of fresh air and they certainly deliver exactly that. The bar has been raised many many notches.
Great products and good deals. Service is sometimes rude
I'm French, It is the identical layout as the stores located in France. And the products are identical as well. I recommend their bread, "viennoiseries" such as the must know croissant. But I really like the "pain aux raisins". I recommend also the "tarte aux fraises" (strawberry pie). The prices are really fair compared to the other French bakeries. This is also a good alternative for having a lunch or having a snack with a coffee.
Top quality French bakery. Can't beat them.
Very nice affordable bakery, decent coffee too.
Decent pastries at a convenient location. Reasonably priced. The half priced day old bread is a bargain.
Great place. Very clean and warm service. Mr. G
Super great - wish you the best of luck
This is a French Bakery Chain, but actually the first store of the Brand in the USA. Great pastries, various fruit tortes and a variety of sandwiches. All of which are worth a try! They have a good choice of cafe and cafe drinks, worth a visit!
Excellent quality! My kids love the pastries and fresh bread.
its a real feeling ,smelling and tasting of French bakery in France.
Wow wow wow wow ! Did I mention wow bestcroissant I have ever had. The almond tart is delicious. Great addition to Great Neck . Everything we had was delicious.
Amazing croissants.
In the interest of good spirited constructive criticism I offer these comments: 1) Get rid of the pastry, sandwich, salad counter and put more badly needed tables there. 2) Sell all food from the main counter and keep it stocked. The sandwich counter was out of all varieties the two time we went there and that separate counter wasn't staffed well. 3) Remove pizza from the menu as NY has too many better offerings in that area. With that I think you'll do great and I wish you luck!
Simply great
(Translated by Google) If you want a sandwich with delicious bread and lots of sweets, it's the right place !!! Bread as good as the one in Naples !!! (Original) Se hai voglia di un panino con buonissimo pane e tantissimi dolci , è il posto giusto !!! Il pane buono come quello di Napoli !!!
Excellent and reasonable
(Translated by Google) For fans of this chain and yes they are in NY for our greatest happiness. On the other hand attention to the price, Marie Blachere did not settle there by chance. (Original) Pour les amateurs de cette chaine et bien oui ils sont à NY pour notre plus grand bonheur. Par contre attention au prix, Marie Blachere ne s'est pas installée là par hasard.
Good pizza!
When asked if they had any gluten free products, the woman walked me to their bread stand with whole wheat and sour dough breads and half wittily suggested that the whole selection was gluten free. When told this was a serious allergy, her colleague jumped in that they had no gluten free products. What if I wasn’t informed enough to express surprise?
The best pastries!
Welcome to Great Neck! Been wanting a good bakery for years!! Baguettes are usually fresh at 8 am. Most of the other pastries and bread is already out by 6 am. If they publish a schedule of when they bread is hot out of the oven I would love this. I like how they do half baked options because you can buy them and freeze then bake it later in the morning to have something amazingly fresh in the morning. (Baguettes to make from scratch takes like a whole day!) They also have a 50% off bin for old bread, which is good for cooking (meatballs, banana bread, etc)
Extremely fresh food and pastries, knowledgeable friendly staff
Lovely french bakery in Great Neck, finally you don't need to go to the city when you want true french croissant or pain au chocolat. Pear tart and raspberry tart are just like in France.
Outstanding croissants and it looks like the staff are actual french citizens flown in to run the place. Very authentic
Very disappointing;very limited choices ,everything is industrial bakery, some are frozen and reheated, the smallest croissants ever seen;was hoping for something more REAL being a so called French bakery
Authentic French pastry shop. Once you step in, you will transfer to a Paris cafe .crocke sandwich are available..And the beignet that are filled with raspberry jelly is still waiting for you
Absolutely best
Amazing breads and pastries.
The best opening in Great Neck for many years. Excellent bread and pastries served in new and spacious surroundings. New opening in NYC to add to Marie's 400 European stores. Bon Chance Marie!
They could you use more staff and better setup but it is nice
I LOVE THIS PLACE
Chocolate swirl pastry was under-cooked. Inside mushy and wet-eggy. Awkward procedure where you get coffee from a separate station, far from where you pick up baked goods.Tip jars all over the place, like on the counter where you get plastic knives and stirring sticks. Very heavy chairs that you have to struggle to drag to a spot closer or more far away from your table.
Wow! Authentic French bread and tarts. I was just in Paris and this place in Great Neck brought back happy memories. Great prices and specials too.
Delicious
This place has great croissants. Stepped in at closing and got one at half price. Great place to step in and grab a pastry/bread and go — not a place for seating.
I tried to come here twice and I just find it weird. It’s a humongous spot that offers a variety of food but it’s like a bakery and restaurant at the same damn time. Parking is shared with the bank, but you can’t in certain areas. The food smells good but the lines can be obnoxious. I walked off twice.
Perfectly decent pain au chocolate - not the absolute best I've ever had, and nowhere close to the worst. This would be a good 'local', grab-on-your-way-to-work each morning stop. Their wraps are excellent. You will hear French spoken here, no worries. Accordingly, 'bonjour' upon entering is probably the right decision.
Love this new place! Staff were friendly and one was speaking French, the decor and ambiance made me feel like I am in a boulangerie in France! Bakeries were wonderful, baguette was very good! Price was very reasonable, cheaper than Maison Kayser or Pain de Quotidien. Their concept of buy 3 get 1 free for all items will definitely attract crowds. I will be a regular supporting them for sure!
Real taste of France. Baguettes are traditional and all breads too. Pastries are a great deal.
The strawberry tart is super delicious and $3 on Friday. But the store definitely need better operation management. The tables are messy even though there is only 2/3 customers. The staff are not paying attention to customer. Will definitely come back for other pastries.

Great idea and taste! We were missing a place with great breads variety and pastries of this sort. I'd come here more often if not for the long line...
1 word. Croissant. And someone actually greeted me with "bon jour"! Reasonable prices. Check it out.
Amazing croissants, your classic bakery setting. Some reviews complain about the layout, yet do not forget this ain't no cafe.
(Translated by Google) Very good and fresh baked goods. Very good espresso. (Original) Sehr gute und frische Backwaren. Sehr guter Espresso.
Deliciousness! Friendly staff!
it does not make sense to suffer 1 hour traffic on middle neck road to try the bread.
This place used to be Kut last year and I personally enjoyed it then too— the management is the same but they now have these amazing sandwiches, pastries and breads. Closest thing to France that I’ve tasted recently. It’s all in the bread! They also sell salads and have an espresso machine as well. The employees are all really friendly— and as one of them said— now customers walk in with a big smile on their face. It’s hard not to as the display is mouthwatering good. The caprese sandwich was delicious and at an affordable price point. If you are in the neighborhood. You must check this place out especially if you are deciding on getting a sandwich or pastries for the road.
New neighborhood bistro with fresh pastries, indiv pizzas, sandwiches, coffee bar and buy 3-get 4th free reg pastry deal. Nice staff A little slow cashing out.
Omg! this is precisely what West Village absolutely needs right now. This French style boulangerie with its overflowing sweet and savory goodies would transport you that summer in junior year spent on Rue de No Worries !
They sell their day old baked goodies for 50% .
fresh baked good all day long. the croissant is the best in town. you can choose the level of baking for your baguette! and the specialties bread are just to die for.
Just like being back in the south of france! I used to make my own croissants and know good quality when I taste it. Very nice staff that seemed a bit overwhelmed as the bakery was full when I went. Buy three get one free deal is great buy.
A perfect pear tart. Please help keep them in business. Vrai Francais. Buerre pur.
Great place!! Fresh and delicious bake goods. 30 minutes before they close everything goes on sale for 50% off to ensure they have fresh goods the next day. Employees are nice and helpful .
(Translated by Google) Modern style with a wide variety of delicious breads and a little sour coffee I like the brunch sandwich (Original) 다양하고 맛있는 빵이 있고, 약간 신맛이 있는 커피를 마실 수 있는 모던 스타일 부런치 샌드위치도 좋아요
Incredible french bakery, a lot of choice !
Definetly very French. Great bakery with French attitude
Update: just watch what they charge you, I've been consistently overcharged on the wrap/baguette and drink combo by one particular employee. Today she gave my coworker the combo price while I had exact same order but I paid full price. Not the first time from her, I think she just hates me. My review is down to one star based on customer experience and general disdain for me. For a quick bite pop on in to this nice addition to the West Village. For the price of a bottle drink and sandwich it is pretty good - under $10. The pastries look nice - I've only had the chocolate one. They have a nice deal where you buy 3 you get one free! Plus if you don't mind old pastries and bread it's half off. I've yet to try the bread and will be back when I get a chance again.
Great selection of breads and pastries. They also have some sandwiches and pizza.
Did not know Marie Blachere opened this store in Long Island, pretty clean and spacious. All the croissants, turnovers, danishes are calling my names and asked me to take them all home. The fruit tarts is unbelievable delicious, especially the crust and worth to go back too. Forgot to mention, they run a special on the whole tart, about 10 inches tart for $10... where else could you go and get a full size fresh fruit tart with $10 in Great Neck?!
It is ok
A place Great Neck desperately needed. We love the bread especially when warm from the oven, the sweets are great, too.
Fresh bread and nice coffee
Excellent pastries and nice design.
Bread and pastry heaven! This huge space has baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat, pizza and more. Delicious coffee too. They opened yesterday here on Sixth Ave and Carmine Street and are built for success. The bread is fresh, the service is friendly and prompt. Half the place is seats and tables; half is a huge display of baked goods and open kitchen. Easy for a quick snack or take advantage of their "buy 3 get 1 free" deal and bring home the goodies to your loved ones. This location is notorious for stores going out of business, but I'm hoping Marie Blachere breaks this trend. Bonne Chance
loved the croissant and the free samples, will go back soon
I was unfamiliar with the art of french baking until I tried Marie Blachere. Whewwwie am I glad this place opened below my apartment. I have to stop myself from stopping in before work every day. From the chocolate croissants and cherry cream cheese danishes to the raspberry filled beignets, this place knows baked goods. Friendly (authentically french), quick service, full coffee bar, and plenty of seating, this place is perfect for the village.
Decent bread, pastry and pizza. But service is so inefficient! There was only 1 person serving customers at 12pm, who had to run back and forth behind 30ft-long counter, heat pizza, make coffee and check out -- all at different locations throughout the floor. No coordination between staff at all. When I have 5 ppl before me, I expect 5mins wait before my turn to order, not 5 times of that! Maybe that's European style? They really need to streamline the process. Can't imagine how they can manage Manhattan store like this.
Visited today for the first time with a few friends. Very impressed with the selection of yummy breads, tarts, pies, croissants and dessert offerings. Unimpressed with pizza (looks stale) and the seperate counter with wraps & salad. Also unimpressed with the staff. They are not organized and a bit rude When asked for coffee larger then the small cup my friend had bought I was still given a small cup. The ordering process was a bit chaotic. A few mistakes were made. And the $7+ avocado /salmon wrap was mediocre. I agree with another reviewer. More tables on the first floor would be nice. I would visit more often if the staff was nicer. I would also visit more of there were healthier options on the menu. May find back and edit the review of I experience better service
I love their pastries, and flatbread pizza. Everything is sooo good!
Best place to have breakfast in Lower Manhattan! 5*
Great place! Amazing pastries! Very fresh! And the stuff r lovely! A lot of sweet options. Just my type of place... The chocolate crosson was delicious!
Ever since leaving Europe, I've longed for a local place where I could get bread, pastries, sandwiches and dessert. Now it's here! And I love it. There's a fine variety of all items.
They have beautiful pies! And all the people was so nice and helpful.
Nice French bakery
terrible layout. There's no reason that the barista should have her back up against the window. That should be seating so that you can look out and people-watch. Besides all the equipment should be in the back of the store. The music is way too loud for the low ceilings. And the area where you buy sandwiches makes absolutely no sense. It's just completely laid out all crazy. The bread is amazing however. They just need to get this place organized better. Plus the stools that are permanently bolted to the floor make no sense. Super uncomfortable
But no bathroom during PRIDE
I stop here at least once a week (if not twice!) on my way home for the viking bread and baguettes. The pastries are really nice - love the apple turnover and chocolate croissant - but the must-haves are definitely the breads.
The BEST part, it's NOT Parve, THANK YOU. We DON'T need another kosher place in Great Neck. I went there today for the first time. The place looks amazing. The selection is great. I had the baguette with fresh mozzarella tomatoes which it was fresh and delicious. The croissants were wow. I will definitely be back in this place.
