I was so disappointed on the unprofessional miscommunication this restaurant has. I ordered a cake and everything was WRONG!!! The decoration was not the one I ordered and the flavor was ALSO not the one I ordered. It definitely caught me off guard when I was cutting the cake specially since I chose this bakery out of so many options for a party of 65 people. Don't get me wrong I LOVE a lot of the desserts here just really dislike when I'm paying over $100 and I don't get the simplest thing I asked for.

If it's Sunday then it's time for my favorite empanada and anis roll from this bakery. I wish they sold that homemade hot sauce in buckets but I've asked and my wish is not to be. The only issue I ever have there is when I order to go. Just check your bags before you leave and make sure your empanada made it in there. Errors have been made.

This is an amazing bakery with some of the best pastries I tried in New York City. The selection of "bizcochos" (traditional Uruguayan pastries) is excellent. Also the price is reasonable ($1 each pastry approx)

Both the restaurant and the bakery are local favorites of mine! The bakery is cheap and delicious. The restaurant has some great food, but is a little on the expensive side. The bar at the restaurant might be my favorite in the neighborhood. Great prices, and unlike some of the other bars on 37th it isn’t always totally packed on weekends.

We were here for dinner on a Saturday night. It is a cozy, friendly place with good service. We ordered parrilladas for two and the meat turned out just the way we like. Live entertainment started at 9pm. Plenty of television to watch sports. Prices were reasonable for both food and drinks.

I love their chicken quesadilla. I know that's a random, American thing to get in this neighborhood but they really do make it delicious and comes with a cup of guacamole. They have live music playing some nights and when they do, the place gets packed! You can dance, you can request songs- it's a really fun place. Good for couples or big families- they'll figure out how to fit you in. I think the drinks are oddly priced- vodka cranberry with absolut is $10 (kind of high) while sangria with fruits and lots of mixing is $9. Restrooms in the back. They also have multiple tvs usually showing sports (mainly soccer) or anything current.

South American steakhouse at it's best. Huge variety of non traditional steaks and meats. Cooked Uruguyan style...BBQ no sauce just some salt. Tried to tostones and guacamole tonight and it quickly became a table fave. Good service. Friendly atmosphere. Have come here often.

Amazing bakery! Delicious pastries and not overpriced. Always a line but it moves fast. Don’t much like the hot cafe con leche but the iced coffee is delicious, like an iced latte, and not expensive. My favorite pastries are the cuernitos and the guayaba/queso, and also the membrillo (quince). Love this place!

An Uruguayan pastry shop. Quite big with lots of seating places so one can enjoy the pastries and coffee. Large selection of pastries and cookies. They also have sandwiches. The pastries look very good in appearance. Tried the creme brulee there. Was amazingly good. Got 3 other pastries packed for home. Will try them. They look yummy, so should taste yummy too! Moderately priced. The only issue I had was that they don't accept credit cards.

Visited on Martin Luther King Day this year. They make great bizcochos. Coming from Sydney, it's hard to find good bizcochos these days there. A real nice treat, even cheaper than Sydney. Even took some to eat in my hotel. Great range of South American pastries and alot of Uruguyan themed memorabilia. For Boca Juniors (Argentina) fans, there is also a special brand of mate available.

They do run out of certain things early so suggest you come before 9AM if you are looking for breakfast. Specially if you are in the mood for spinach tarts or other similar items Their tres meches cakes is amazing and always get it as well as their chocolate cake. On occasion the tend to mess up orders but not on a big scale (like ordered cake with berries and get no berries). Overall it is a great South American bakery! Can get crossword at times so be prepared to wait in line.
