For starters, the service was friendly and attentive. Thanks to the guy who helped us on 10/9 @ 3:30. We ordered the sprinkle explosion cake and it did not disappoint. The product is really amazing. It made my 40th birthday very special, and the cake was a big hit!!! Thank you for all the sprinkles! Push pops are addictive, FYI.

Love the whimsy and the cake is a crowd pleaser... but it is a dry cake and the flavor is mellow. But it looks great and just like everyone else I will keep on getting it for office and kids birthdays. The shop is spacious, well lighted and perfect for all the instagram snaps. Would love to see a bigger selection of options of carry out cakes

The Flour Shop cakes are insane in the best ways possible! The explosion cakes are our favorite because the candy in the middle takes the cake to the next level. Typically fun themed cakes don't taste that good because all of the stuff that goes into the look is just not that good to eat. But Flour Shop cakes are very good! These are made to eat not just to look at.

As I was paying for my teenager's Glossier loot that cost more than my annual cosmetics allowance, he turned to me and said, 'Don't worry, mum, cos now I'm going to treat you to the best cake you have ever tried in your whole entire life!' And I fell for it, of course, I always fall for a promise of a good cake or two coming my way. Enter Flour Shop - very Tokyo, I thought, and definitely not a place for those with a fear of Unicorns and/or Rainbows. Or actual cake-lovers, because what you get is something called a "cake ball", which means exactly what it says, except much much smaller. We ordered our Karot erm balls and sat down on white, miniature throne-like chairs (there were full-size ones, too, but where would be the fun in that?), and delicately ate our cakes in one single bite. Not enough to feed an entire village, perhaps, but absolutely delicious. Combined with the well pulled-off quirkiness of the place, the fact that Flour Shop bothers with delivering the goods long after going viral sets them apart from just another marketing flash in a pan.

Cutesy little place. I’m not a great fan of sweets but this place made me think twice about eating a calorie laden treat. Loved the funky energy flowing through this place and I enjoyed watching the staff build a treat for a potential engagement. Will I return? Yep. Bring it in I can walk back to union square and burn off the calories

They are horrible. Unfriendly, not at all accommodating and no compassion. I was trying to get a unicorn cake for my baby niece who is going thru chemo. I placed an order with 12 days notice instead of the 14 days requires. Due to the circumstances her mother was unable to put in the request so I rushed down their and begged them to try and accommodate this request for a very sick 10 month old. They flat out refused because I missed the cutoff by 2 days. I have never experienced such poor customer service and lack of compassion. Just because their shop and cakes are great for Instagram doesn’t give them the right to be rude and dismissive. I will NEVER buy a cake from them.

Honestly, not worth the price. Customer service is not existant. Can’t speak to someone directly after I ordered a $300 cake two weeks in advance, wrote an email to have some writing put on well before I picked it up and didn’t happen. Then they were like we could do it for an extra $15. $300 isn’t enough for a cake??? It’s just another phony branding gimmick with little substance. A luxury price-tag but without any service.

If you happen to be passing by Flour Shop on your journeys, take 5-10 out of your day to stop in and check the place out. The decor is really fun and will instantly brighten your day. I ordered the rainbow cake pop which was very fresh and tasty and also got a couple of the bonbons and ate them right away. Cute spot!

Neat place. Cool concept. Plastic payments only at this joint. I am interested in knowing why your water is labeled as gluten-free. It's painfully obvious that ALL water is gluten-free. Good chuckle from the water bottle. Will be a laughing point for the next while. Obliged!

I had been seeing this explosion cake everywhere and after seeing the Away luggage collaboration I had to give it a try. I ordered and Oreo cakewich and rainbow cake pop which were both delicious! The cake is very moist and the icing is just the right amount of sweet. Going into the bakery is such a fun and colorful experience. The staff are nice and available for any questions. They are a bit pricey so have your coins in order.

Really expensive cakes but their taste absolutely not worth. I ordered rainbow cake which looks really good but when I tasted it bread part of cake is fine but cream is really sweet and small piece of cake makes your tummy heavy.

My Mother ordered me a 40th Unicorn candy filled Cake. It was beyond beautiful and delicious. It wasn't too sweet or dry. It was perfect. The delivery box they gave us was sturdy too. The candy inside was delicious as well. I froze half and as I thaw it out its still delicious. Thanks for helping in a wonderful birthday. And the price is right!

Super excited to go here, pre ordered my cake online. Got their, it was super beautiful- however the employees were not friendly at all. Didn’t smile didn’t greet - super unprofessional. I got my Cara unicorn cake, cake balls and purchased 4 cake pops which wasn’t part of my order. Secured my cake and drove home- opened cake and the main flower on the side of cake fell off, and then when I cut into the cake the cake fell apart! Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Cute cake shop with plenty of space and some colorful decor, but very expensive. Small 'cake balls' are $3 and larger cakes run North of $50. The kids enjoyed the treat but you'll need deep pockets to cater a party from here.

Visiting from Atlanta. Their pop up shop location was close by. Got there any only had a couple of the cake balls. Employee said the fridge at this location didn’t keep the stuff cold. I was taking this back to my 5 year old in Atlanta as our flight is tonight. So we pay Lyft to take us to the other location. We got the push pop, 6 cake balls and the mini explosion cake. They all tasted terrible. Very upset after traveling to both locations (not easy) and all of it tasting horrible.

It’s like stepping into a bday party. IG-worthy but do come with friends to share the expense of a $25 rainbow cake stuffed with sweets. So sweet, you’ll be able to have just a slice off this cake ... at least initially.

I came here for the gluten free water, and was not disappointed. I also ordered what I thought was a mug of coffee, but when I tried to drink it the handle broke off, spilling candy and frosting all over. It was a mess.
