This is my GO TO Bakery. Frank has been making my cakes for 20 years! When my Daughter was Born and now my Grandson! Thank You for the Great Cakes, Pastries Cookies Bread and Service all these years. Can't pass by with picking up my Eclair with Whipped Cream on Top minus the box. My desert version of a hot dog!

My husband is from Staten Island and he and his family always rave about how delicious it is. We had them do our wedding cake, thanks to Island Chateau. We had a peaches and cream cake made for our guests. We gave him the design for the cake and they nailed it! I tasted it for the cake cutting, and it was delicious! My father in law is still talking about the cake!! They do not do vegan cakes but they carry sugar-free items, just make sure you ask. They have many things to choose from. You walk in and you want to eat everything, I did! I would suggest setting up an appointment to go over details in person if you are looking for something to get customized, rather than doing it over the phone.

My sister ordered a baby shower cake & cookies from Buono’s back in november and everything was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. I worked for these people 20 years ago in high school and it’s clear they have maintained their excellence still after all this time. Top notch bakers — you cannot go wrong. I’ve never once been disappointed in this bakery. My husband and I look forward to ordering our daughters christening cake from Frank. He’s super busy because he bakes 24-7 but once you get a hold of him is amazing to work with & an extremely great guy. This is an amazing bakery, we always try to get our cakes here. Special orders are available and are amazing but even just their ready made cakes and baked goods are sure to please. I have been going there since I was a kid and will still take the extra time to get my baked goods there. Well worth the extra time and prices are reasonable. When we visit family members off the island who want a taste of home buono is our go to for pastries cookies and cakes

I used them for my wedding cake. Worst mistake ever. I didnt listen to the past reviews. The photographer asks me to stand by the cake for pictures. I told him it wasnt the cake i ordered. He didnt know what to say. I guess he was just surprised i wasnt having a bride attack. I had to apologize to my guests for how bad the cake tasted too. If you want good cheesecake then this is the place to go. DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING CAKE FROM BUONOS!!

Great neighborhood Italian bakery that is clearly a popular place based on the afternoon crowd at the time of our visit. Many Italian classics including cookies, cannoli, biscotti, and breads available along with other American style treats like cakes and cupcakes. Staff are also very friendly and attentive to help! Drop in for a sample tasting!

One of, if not the last of the great S.I. bakeries. I doubt you'll find any pastry, cookie, pie or cake you won't like if not love. Their buttercream is out of this world, as are most of the freshly made devilishly good desserts available. Reasonably priced, parking sometimes proves a challenge.
