We come a lot for brunch and for desserts
This is my go-to brunch place every Sunday, I keep coming back because the service is amazing and the food is excellent!
Gnocchi pasta amazing
Excellent food and beautiful decor
Nice restuarant, cafe Deserts , paninis , pasta it all good .
Great cakes as always
We went for dessert only. I had ricotta/pear mouse tart and my husband had carrot cake cupcake and pistachio gelato. We enjoyed all very much. Our waitress was excellent.
The waitress Terri was awesome, she made the right recommendations for our dinner and the food was delicious
Great Cakes and Pastries. Friendly Staff. Extremely Clean. Would recommend.
Bruno's was amazing. From the ambiance to the service, the experience was great. The food not only looks appetizing, but is delicious and very fulfilling. Thank you for a great brunch experience.
We went in to buy Italian cookies. The prices are high but the quality and the flavor of the the cookies and paistries are to die for
every thing is great
Their meals had no flavor at all...a bit noisy place buy the way
We did a blind taste test for the best cannoli in Staten Island bad Bruno's was the winner. Came here after dinner and had ice cream and cannolis. Delish!
Lovely bakery and great restaurant!
Bruno's the best place to go great food better desserts love it
Nice bakery with seating
I have been there twice and both times has been delicuous. The pastries are great, the food is also amazing and the service is really good. Gratly recommended for a brunch with friends or dinner date!
Food was overpriced and not very good. Atmosphere was bright..good for coffee and lunch not dinner
Great food however a bit pricey
If you like dessert you will LOVE this place! Their owner/pastry chef, Sal, is top notch! Your mouth will water upon entering, and you will probably end up with much more than you intended on leaving with! I've never eaten dinner here, but definitely plan on trying it soon. Dessert, dessert, dessert!
I so badly wanted to give it more stars and love the brunch here.... food was cold no gluten free options- No grapefruit juice no malbec... Coffee was cold- homefries cold and not cooked through not much flavor either... So disappointed! I used to love this place.
Very good food and drinks
Service is beyond slow. They were catering a party and definitely should have closed the restaurant to everyone else. Had to constantly flag down waiter. Wait staff is comprised of children under 18. Service tends to be better when wait staff is working to feed family not saving for that mustang
Nice place, fresh food, real italian plates, and a lot of delicious pastries.
Good coffee and desserts
It was ok. With all the great Italian restaurants in the area, they need to step it up especially considering their prices.
great pastries, nice and cozy environment. will go again!
Best in new york
What a wonderful day we had at Pasticceria Bruno I drove in from Queens and It was very easy to get to. I made my reservations on line which was very easy. I didn't expect what was out on the table. There was a fresh fruit platter plus a bakery platter. Then our food came which was delicious.Did I forget to tell you we had a drink and the coffee was great. We weren't rushed and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my day at Bruno's !!
Good old Italian joint
It was delicious it was for Chris Siani's and Stephanie castaldos 3 month anniversary we're girlfriend and boyfriend
I came here recently about three Times in the span of a month. The staff are very nice and respectful. The price of coffee is slightly more than the average store but obviously this is a higher class establishment. The decor and environment is beautiful and sometimes there are free sample For cookies after holidays !
Went there for dessert and coffee The waitress was great and of course the desert and coffee was excellent
Went to Bruno's to have their breakfast, everything was delicious...bacon was crispy but not burnt like other places serve it. The potatoes had flavor and their coffee delicious. I always come here for their pastries as my family loves them.
I purchased the key lime tart. It tasted nothing like key lime. It just tasted like custard. Although, I will ay my husband purchased their mango gelato and it was excellent.
Beautiful selection of pastries! Good coffee
Beautiful going back for dinner.
Great selection of wraps, panini, anti pasta, pasta, and even yummy truffle fries with spicy ketchup and chipotle sauce to dip in.
Very nice place for a weekend brunch.
The food is fresh, beautifully presented and priced fairly. The gelato is NYC's best
Went for brunch. Price is right, great coffee, super delicious pastries, eggs no so good. How can they mess up 2 orders of pouch eggs?? - not rocket science, sad to see such poor quality control on dishes from the kitchen. Great service.
I'M SURE THEYRE NICE PEOPLE- But, the quality of Sunday brunch isn't worth it. Out. of 5 adults, 4 of us we're disappointed. OVERCOOKED eggs, COLD toast, FROZEN BUTTER, ham was too salty, warm water served twice for hot tea, one dish had so much pepper in it that it wasn't eaten. Took it home hoping someone else would eat it, but it went in the garbage. I paid $16 a lb for cookies. The appearance was beautiful, but they tasted too dry. FINALLY at the end, I'm told if I don't pay my bill with cash, I will be charged an ADDITIONAL "NON CASH ADJUSTABLE FEE", CALCULATED ON HOW MUCH IS CHARGED TO A CARD. A $100 debit charge, will cost you an extra $3.38, & so on. The more you charge, the higher the fee. Whatever happened to "We Thank You For Your Patronage, & Come Back Soon"?
I used to order from this place probably twice a month. I recently ordered a wrap from them and an appetizer, neither of which had romaine lettuce in their description, but came with it. With the Yuma E Coli scare being prevalent at the time, I called them and asked where they get their lettuce from. They said they had no idea. We asked for a refund then, as we weren't comfortable eating it and the description didn't specify what kind of lettuce. They gave us only a partial refund, and the manager's response was "only because it seems like you need the money back that badly." We later found out from the app we ordered through that people did in fact get sick. This place shouldn't be in business if they claim they don't know where their products are coming from, or if they're serving food that they know has the potential of getting people sick. Really disappointed in this and the management, as I was a huge fan of the food. Out of principle and the fact that they're serving potentially bad food to their customers, I'll never eat here again. Lost my business!
Good food..beautiful desserts..nice for a quick lunch
Great Italian Bakery & Eatery everything looks delicious, great bread, cakes,& pastries. The Galoto is very good but I refuse to pay $11 dollars for A pint.
The best in jax
Horrible experience, arrived and had to wait 15 minutes just to be asked what I wanted to drink. Than another 20 minutes just to order my food with an ADDTIONAL 45-50 minute wait for our food to arrive, only to have food that was extremely unappealing. Best part of the experience was the coffee. Waitress was great very sweet, but overall service, food, and wait time atrocious. Overpriced, for 25$ plus I could've been at a brunch buffet Instead. Waste of time and money. Will never be returning here.
The best sweets!
Everyone enjoyed our Brunch
The sweets here are very good, the prices are doable, and the service is exemplary. Its a nice place to sit down with friends. Try the chai tea, its pretty good.
Service a little slow, but not bad. Prosciutto with ricotta delicious, ceaser salad with steak was amazing, chicken burger good, and chicken parm was great.
Hands down the best bakery restaurant on the island
The service is a bit, slow and they cant explain the menu items
Amazing Bakery. The Raspberry Bomboloni is to die for.
Nice place to eat, delicious cakes, big choice of pastries, they make a master classes too. Recommended
Very good food, great service and helpful staff!!
Very nice delicious food but pretty expensive.
Omg i love
Very good pastry.
Thanks to all At Bruno’s bakery and restaurant for making a special brunch for my wife’s birthday!! The food was fresh and plentiful. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful and festive! We will be back!!
Was there twice so far for that grand new opening they redid the place over beautifully food was excellent service was wonderful definitely will be back I highly recommend
Great place. But needs more options for flavored teas
Great cake pop making class for my daughter and her classmates lots of fun
Great pastries and good food a Staten island classic
I’ve been coming here for years for edible printouts that I use on my cakes. The staff is always nice and we pick up several desserts to go which are always fabulous. Highly recommend.
The food here is so delicious! I’ve had their Funghi pizza and the Salmon with spinach risotto here plenty of times and it is always cooked to perfection. They have a small outdoor eating spot that’s really nice during the spring. Their special sangria was regreshing but not strong. I would recommend this place to others.
Great place
Purchased baked goods that were pre packaged for holiday company. I was so disappointed with the stale taste of each product. Costly mistake. Hello, I am responding to a reply from the owner of Bruno’s Bakery and Restaurant. On April 18th after having a nice lunch with friends in this restaurant, I purchased a prepackaged arrangement of cookies that were across from the glass counter, and a large Easter cookie for my granddaughter The total was $24.84. The cookies looked good but were definitely stale to the point of being inedible. They had to be discarded. Very disappointed.
Had brunch for my girlfriend's birthday party of four service was quick courteous and the food was excellent
Delicious deserts..great service!
Fresh, tasty and creative dishes. Nice outdoor patio too!
Fantastic brunch! So much food included (pastries, fruit, mimosa, coffee, juice) with your brunch selection. Great food and friendly staff.
Most people know Royal Crown and think it's the best... We'll move over because Bruno's has them beat. They even have gluten free cookies for the gluten intolerant. But don't come in here if you're on a diet. This is the place to come and indulge in all the decadent delights!! It's sex on a plate. Check out the healthy options too!!
Recommended by a friend while I was visiting. Stopped in to pick up some pastries for a family event. Beautiful location, service was quick and friendly. Parking is not the best in the back. A bit tight.. but either way the pastries were a hit!
Nice place with good interior. In staten island this will be second best place after Royal cucina for authentic italian food. Service is good and fast. Taste and presentation are of top class.
Great place for pastry. They also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner which are all great.
Dessert perfectly presented!
Excellent staff, beautiful delicious food, stunning tasty desserts and elegant calming atmosphere.
Best baking class experience ever! Highly Recommend. The entire staff are amazing, top professionals along with excellent guidance. *****
Came here after Easter vigil mass courtesy of a few friends, choir members. The cannot is freshly filled, chocolates mousse is super and the carrot cake very sweet. Lovely staff.
Food was very good service very inconsistent if there at all. The weekend teams seem to have a better system we're during the week we'll.... Not so much. It's truly a sham cause the place raised the bar with a remodel and always on point product.
Great place for pastries. I had a French napoleon and lobster tail (a dessert), which tasted amazing. Give it a try if you around.
Excellent desserts. Love the atmosphere. Great for a quick bite or just coffee and dessert
The one star goes to the owner that have decided , that he does not want to pay a fee for the credit cards to the bank. We came here last Saturday 9 people, sat outside. The service was OK, the waitress did her best. But since we were a big group i guess she decided not to bother us much. Like little details: to bring us glasses, water, juice etc, to check on us, was taking longer that it should. And don't get me wrong, I'm out of all people very loyal to the stuff team because i worked in the hospitality business. Anyway, the service was not my concern same is the food. Food was good. In the end of the night when it was a time to pay our bill our waitress was very kind to tell us, that if we pay cash we will get 3.5% discount. Well ok .Seams like a good deal. Check was big and we didn't have enough cash, so we split half and half. To my surprise i noticed that the amount was added to the credit card bill stating a non cash fee charge. So it was no discount, it was a fee that you have to pay for credit cards and if you pay cash, they don't add fee..so where is the discount? Like it's call stealing. Stealing and lying to your customers. Just because you don't want to pay a fee don't put it on the customers shoulders. We live in the world where no one carry cash anymore. And if you DO want to charge a 3.5% credit card fee add it to the prices in the menu. And also it should be written in all the menus that you give out, so it wont be a surprise when you give a check in the end. And the fact that you put a little note in the check presenter does not make it OK. You get the check in the end, not in the beginning. And it doesn't make customers happy, trust me .We already paying taxes for you, we pay 20% tips as well that included, and on top we need to pay a 3,5% fee..like seriously? Why than you don't add to the check also a line with a fee for electricity, gas, water? So for everyone bring CASH to not get fooled by the owner's policy.
Staff gets 6 stars. Our waitress was absolutely on point. I can't remember her name and that's really bad. Because I would love to mention her name on here. But she made our experience a great one. All our orders came out right on time, and she was very pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh and very tasty. Compliments to the chef, and the desert was also fresh and very good. Thank you Bruno's for a great experience I will visit you anytime I'm in Staten Island.
Always love it there. Great food and the service is warm and friendly!!!
Place is way too cold. Portions are rather large and too expensive when their original bakery is cheaper for roughly the same portions and a larger menu.
Love the brunch and pastries here. For just $25 you get a brunch entree, coffee, mimosa/Bellini, fruit and pastries, and everything is delicious! Beautiful outdoor seating, friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
One the few places with a good patio. Food is great, wine is good as well. And an unbelievable amount of dessert options. Visit here.
Awesome pastries and staff is lovely.
Was really unimpressed with their sandwiches. Ordered a "panini" but it came out like a normal burger. The side salad was good but the sandwich was dry and had very little flavor.
Nice atmosphere. Pleasant waiters. I had linguini with clams. Delicious. And tried their lobster ravioli. The sauce was little to sweet. No room left for their yummy looking desserts.
lovely italian restaurant, great food, higher prices but its worth it. often going with my friends - if we find a free table! great atmosphere though and cozy.
Lovely & delicious. Different breakfast items
Busy bakery/brunch restaurant. But noisy and crowded but good food.
Usually you can by there tasty mini cakes but last time one of it was not fresh.. Make sure that you get what you pointed from shop-window.
Absolutely Love! Whether you are stopping in for a meal or dessert they are amazing. Wonderful staff, super clean. Bruno's is family owned and operated where you always feel welcomed!
Good food. Always crowded
Delightful! Service was friendly. Didn’t have to wait too long for the meal and it was hot when it arrived. Perfect pancakes, fresh fruits, cinnamon raisin French toast was to die for. Great coffee. Will definitely come here again and will recommend.
Worst carrot cake ever! Just stopped there now and we ordered 2 carrot cakes...no cake at all inside!!! All frosting!!! I feel they robbed me..when I tell you nothing is nothing! Please make cakes don't sell only the outside..
Pastries was not very fresh, even on Saturday, when it should be extra fresh. I’d rather go to Royal Crown , it’s guarantee to have fresh pastries on a weekend.
Amazing bakery and great food, no doubt about that. If you need a cake, cookies, pastries, or even ice cream, this is a great option! However, I’ve went for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner before (I live nearby), and each time, the service has been extremely poor. They never refill water glasses, the food, even simple meals, takes forever to come out, the servers never come around to ask if anything is needed, salt and pepper is often forgotten, etc. etc.
Great brunch
Service was good, pastry missing that something special.
Hi. My brother and his girlfriend bought me a gourmet peanut butter chocolate cup dessert here I said thanks. I bit into it and it was horrible!!! It had no taste!! I am in shock. It tasted like cardboard. I am surprised because I had there fried calamari and that was delicious!!!! Steer clear of that dessert. Disappointed.
Chicken wraps have become disgusting. You can taste the stale chicken when you bite into it. Service was bad - the customer is always right. 4th time i come here but never again.
Large indoor outdoor dining area. The staff appeare to be overwhelmed. Either they forgot about my party or something else was going on. Place wasn't that crowded. Food is good. They need to update their menus.
Best brunch menu in the neighborhood. Enjoyed special breakfast fruit salad and pastries with the standard breakfast items.
I came for dinner tonight because I wanted to sit outside to enjoy the weather. The service was horrible, the chopped salad delicious. And apparently, if you want to bring your pet to dinner, it's allowed here. There's a woman who came in with her dog. The dog is sitting on her lap and the woman is giving it food and water from a bowl. Personally, I find this disgusting and unsanitary. And no, it's not a service dog, it's a little lap dog.
Amazing coffee and the western omelet was great.
Love the food!
Best services, delicious meals and yummy bakery items. Try salad with octopus :)
They have amazing brunch. Bakery section is average price and delicious. They have parking behind the restaurant and on the street too. Prices are average. Staff is average depending on when you go. Good location, close to all.
Very nice place good atmosphere. Staten Island's a tough place lot of Italians and a lot of Italian restaurants. Restaurants have to work to stand out. I would go back though. The service was excellent!
Biagio is an outstanding pastry chef as well as his son Sal! This it a great spot to come to for dinner or a pastry and coffee. Intuitive staff!
Has a fun lunch with friends Alex, Margie and George❤
The best food and service in staten island
They made my daughter's birthday cake and it was both beautiful and delicious, besides that their everyday cakes and pasrty are the best. I live their fruit and berry tarts, their pear and apple almondines, their mango mousse cake, pear royale and my personal favorite cappuccino mousse cake. Any time I need a cake, I go to Bruno's.
Pastries, at the table, were a bit stale, and the bass had no taste. Service was excellent though.
Nice place to go
Best place in town. This is a must visit restaurant. Dinner and dessert are amazing
Food is so good here. Dessert has an awesome selection..gelato is home made and fresh all the time! Staff is very polite and friendly...
Doesn't get any better! Cakes are made to impress. They have this crazy deep fried waffle that it's topped with gelato... Yeah baby!
Friendly service, nice selection
Best in the island so far
Great desserts place.
Beautiful place love the desserts!
Will come back here again and again. The food was amazing, delicious, wow!
Its a good Bakery but I found a tiny bug once in my box of Baked goods... But It was only once...
Amazing variety of desserts and nutella crepe was nice when we went to sit there...yummmyy
You'll want 1 of EVERYTHING!
Get rid of the vegan chocolate.
Went here for my birthday - The space was a bit cramped (To be fair it was a party of 16, so), but the waitstaff was nice, and the food was well priced and tasted good for the given portion size (medium-large). The baked goods delicious, and the cake they served was phenomenal.
Glorified Bakery food was ok servive wasn't that good but they were under staffed for the amount of people our waiter was good at his job management needs to step up its game
really great fresh baked pies, cookies, gelatos and tons of other options.
Food menu and bakery wise, it’s amazing. Customer service however (keep in mind this is my first impression as I’ve never been here before) was a horrible experience. Got seated right away but it took almost 10 minutes to get water and my order taken. Then it took 10 more minutes to receive my coffee which was already pre-done and should’ve been ready right away. 30 minutes later, I still had not been served my food and had to speak to the manager in order for it to be delivered. Needless to say, the good was served cold, with a hair in my bacon which I didn’t even fuss about. Granted, the manager comped my milkshake and delayed coffee and gave us two pastries on the house, BUT the point of the matter is, as a young-non-Caucasian female, in a restaurant predominantly visited by Caucasian individuals with a staff of all Caucasian individuals, I felt as though I was not serviced with the same level of attention and respect as EVERY single person around me. The excuse was that “they were a bit understaffed because they were servicing two other parties indoors”. Very interesting story and contradicting to my experience since a group of 3 came in 15 minutes after me, and were serviced right away AND received their drinks and food in a timely manner. We ended up leaving at the same time.
Slow, unresponsive service. Asked for a bit more cream for coffee, but she never returned with any. Asked another waitress and was given a container of curdled nastiness. Very inattentive, in my opinion.
Very good bread.
Great summer night outdoor experience! Handsome waiter & such good food....Plus the chocolate cookie melt with vanilla gellato was amazing!
I've been coming here for years. You will see the owner, his wife, and daughter and family working who are amazing, greeting you with a heart-warming smile. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is so good it will have you head over heels and then getting up for more. The bakery is great, I fly the cannoli from here to family in other states because how good it is. Come here and you will enjoy yourself.
Perfect place for breakfast, lovely omelets, we like it. Deserves 5 star
So far one of my best dessert place!
Food was great and the server Jet was very welcoming
I love passticcieri Bruno always make the best frosting and cake. I used to live in New York and always got the cake from there. Now I moved to New Jersey and I can’t find bakery like Bruno. Please open a bakery in middlesex County because people said that doesn’t have a good bakery around here. And this town is a family town they will be very good here.
We chose Bruno's Bakery to make our wedding cake after many disappointing options in New Jersey. From the cake tasting, the follow-up & suggestions, to the final product A+++. Thank you!
Formerly upscale Italian, downgraded to typical red-sauce Italian restaurant. The pastry shop has nice things. Don't expect to be greeted by the waiters who are standing at the door. They usually turn their backs, when I come in. No, I never stiffed them on tips, or did anything rude to them.
