Coffee is great, but the baked goods are to die for, so buttery and flakey.

Delicious pastries and amazing coffee!! Plus I love that the staff and the customers alike have this Australian accent - felt like I was in Sydney for a little bit :)

Ross Hut

Excellent pastries and exotic breads, similar to the offerings at their Bourke Street outlet in Sydney. Finally, Australian-style coffee (and sizes) available in New York - bliss!!

First of all... Maple-Bacon Danish!!

I was sadly disappointed in this bakery/café. I had a crème brulee tart that was quite good, but the muffin I had was dry and didn't taste fresh, the sales person was disinterested and the coffee was terrible. I might give them another try another time.

Ask Imee

For sure this place is very spacious and with great ambience. I tried their fig danish and it was amazingly delicious ‼️. I love to hangout here and will keep coming back❤️

I ordered the smoked trout salad with pickled veggies and all of my favorite greens! It was awesome and to my pleasant surprise no mayo as some smoked salads are...win! I asked for dessert suggestions and got the ginger crepe brûlée. A little richer than I thought but absolutely delicious! My fail though brûlée’s are not my fave.

As an Australian in New York, it's always nice to find great Aussie style coffee and food. They were out of sausage rolls when we were there, but I had an almond croissant instead and it was awesome. Highly recommended for great coffee, as well as awesome baked goods and chill vibes.

Chris Doyle

Amazing breads, pastries and coffees. I also had the granola which had a delicious yogurt on top. Super friendly service even though it was busy. Oh and the sausage rolls! Yummmmm!

Ben Hughes

If it's not the best sourdough you've ever had, it's close.

sourdough is very good very high hydratation (a bit too much for sprouted), creme brulee tarte ok+, the lemon curd pie dominant aftertaste is egg yolks that are past their prime. pork sausage is perfect. why no pies??

Zach Hide

I’m really confused, an Australian bakery with no pies

I stopped by for a coffee and a sweet. It was perfect spot. The staff were friendly and nice. Coffee tastes good and chocolate tart was great too. They make good ice tea too. They make each ice tea fresh. I recommend this place.

Lockie Wells

This place is amazing, just like the location in Mascot Australia. Great food and really good coffee.

I went later in the day (after work) so I missed a lot of their well-known and recommended pastries. The woman behind the counter was super helpful and sweet. I got a tea and a few things to snack on. My friend joined me later - there was plenty of seating and a nice vibe to chill out, read a book, or work on something alone. Big fan! If I lived/worked closer, I could see myself visiting more often.

Love this place. Super friendly team and a food menu that is not like your regular New York brunch spots. Lovely place to hang out with friends or steal a moment in hectic NYC. Truly excellent bread!!

Very good ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. Will go back for more sampling ... Cinnamon rolls and other baked good looked enticing, simple, not over the top gooey

Larry Singer

Fine bakery products . Great staff

I came here on a Wednesday morning to grab an early lunch and I was surprised to see quite a few people sitting at a lot of the tables and waiting on line to order. I decided to get the roasted turkey, arugula, and cheese on a croissant. They asked if I wanted it grilled and thought, “sure why not”. I also ordered the ginger creme brûlée tart.

Sarah Rosen

Best baguette in the city. I haven’t tried them all but I’ve tried a lot and I’m firmly in the bourke street camp. Everything I’ve tried has been stellar and the place itself if cute and comfortable.

Delicious Australian baked treats, say no more! Flat whites!

While the pastries are good, the line situation is a bit insane. There's no split between dine in or take out, so expect a 30 min wait to get 2 baguettes

The best place for great organic breads, coffee, pastries and breakfast.

Staffs are very friendly and the sourdoughs are really good! Also, coffees are good as well!

This review is about the service and not the food. I felt that there is a lack of organization when handling customers. I walked in and the cashiers were handling other customers before me. I wanted to place and order so I stood next to the counter waiting until it was my turn. I stood there for a decent amount of time as the cashiers continued to help people who were standing on the other side for the pastries. I got a little annoyed. By the time some one got to me, he wasn't sure if I or the person behind me (who walked in after me) was first and ask "Are you being helped?" to the other person. I was clearly there before the other guy. I stood next to the register for the whole time I was there... I looked at the new person who walked in, then looked at the cashier then walked out. I didn't want to buy anything from there anymore. I unfortunately did not have a chance to try anything from this place because I no one seemed to notice I was there...

The pastries are good here, but the chai latte I had was very disappointing. It was flavorless and just tasted like bland warm milk. Atmosphere is nice, but probably just stick to coffee here if you want a beverage.

Excellent bakery, muffins and already made sandwich ( baguette) or to items to order. Plenty of tables and a nice vibe in the morning. Great location around Flatiron.

The almond croissant is the bomb! Coffee is ok.

Samantha De

Good bread with good combinations of sauce meat and flavor.

This place was on my list for a couple of weeks now, so thankful to finally cross it off. The smell in the bakery/cafe was delightful. Had the opportunity to try two pastries and washed it down with a large ice coffee(summer weekend starter kit). Highly recommend this place even its a one time visit. Already making plans to return again.

Sarah Wisor

Quality coffee. No flavors if that’s what you’re looking for. I highly recommend the maple bacon pastry- hands down the best pastry I’ve ever ever ever had.

Inconsistent service and food quality. Was happy with the excellent coffee and pastries, spacious settings, warm vibes, together with friendly and speedy service for my first visit. Was quite disappointed with the scattered service, subpar cleanliness in store, and slightly dry pastries for my second visit. Placed an eat-in order but was served with paper cups that failed to hold the temperature of hot coffee for a sit-in order. The drip coffee was not balanced and had a much stronger taste of acidity than that drip coffee I had on my first visit. Saw trash on the floor but did not see anyone clean up during my stay. What a surprising disappointment.

GO HERE! Australians already know how good this place is although this NYC store is even better.

Anjoli Podder

Fabulous bakery from Australia that serves delicious sweet and savory treats and makes a variety of bread. Everything I tried was true to the Aussie originals - sweets not too sweet and crumbly, rustic pastries.

I’m in love with this place. As an Aussie who frequented the original Bourke Street in Sydney, it was like magic seeing this one pop up in Manhattan. They’ve done a stellar job making this a reality. Go for the pork and fennel sausage rolls and be sure to top it off with tomato sauce (that’s different to ketchup!). The rolls come out of the oven at 11am and 5pm so be sure to plan ahead if you’re keen.

Ainsley Thomson

Delicious baked goods and chic design, this will be a NOMAD mainstay

Michael Camp

Had some delicious pastries, sausage rolls, and sandwiches here and brought home a loaf of sourdough! They have a weekly schedule of various types of bread, so I'll be sure to return and try more. I'll also be returning for their great natural wine selection and afternoon snacks / early dinner items.

Peter K

Excellent opening day! The menu items were superb! I don't expect this place to be quiet for a long, long time as people will get a wind of this place. The price for the quality and taste was on target! Enjoy yourselves.

Zac Charlton

Delicious bread and sausage rolls!

Happened upon this place when walking across town. It’s great! I had the turkey and cheese croissant and an iced oat milk latte.

Disorganized mess. Almost nothing left at 4 pm. Three people cut in front of me. I left without making a purchase.

Here’s the thing that really describes this place. The bread is insane. I’m a recovering breadaholic. I don’t care about pastries, sandwiches or tarts. I make most of my own food, eat wonderfully and take pride in the condition of my body. The sourdoughs are the best in the city...by far. Who else makes fresh ground spelt sourdough?????....from a 20yo culture???? My loaf was a 3 part experience. The crust was a rich brown without any burn. Next is the layer between the crust and the loaf. This is the part that’s usually dried out. Not this one. It was more like a well prepared tahdig experience than a loaf of bread. The interior is just different than what an American would be accustomed to. It’s moist without being doughy or undercooked... textured and earthy in a satiating way instead of snort it like coke Cinnabon. To those that are paleo, gluten free or other wise scared of carbs, this is real bread, not what we Americans grew up with. Limited or no swelling beyond glycogen storage.

Brent Henry

Authentic, gourmet editions of classic Australian baked goods. Their sausage roll is amazing. However, charging for tomato sauce, regardless of the low price, is absurd nickel and diming. Also, when you try calling them to confirm if their often sold out sausage rolls are still in stock, they refuse to answer the phone and their voicemail box isn’t set up. Why have a phone if you don’t answer it? Incredibly frustrating. Edit: Tried calling while in-store, no ringing anywhere. Get your phone sorted!

Christopher Daish

My little sister used to work in their flagship store in Sydney. Every visit was better than the one before - when you’re more excited for the baked goods than seeing your sister (jokes) you know they’re doing something right. Prepare to be a BSB lifer!

Owen Miller

The food was so full of fresh flavour. The space was comfortable and was being kept clean by staff constantly buzzing about while maintaining a genuine smile. Even though the communal table was being cleaned while I was there, the cleaning spray wasn't the sort that had any impact on the smell of my food. The staff actually used my name when they delivered the food, rather than the all-too-common approach of questioning if they're correct - Is there actually an Owen in here? Who ordered this sandwich? At Bourke St Bakery, I felt like a human being enjoying lunch.
