Nice cafe to grab breakfast and coffee but a bit expensive due to its location. The space is cramped when busy, but pretty quick service
It was my first time in NY, I really like this place the food was delicious and the service as well, the only reason I’m not giving 5 starts is because they should replace the plastic straws already, the should go more environmental friendly by now.
I had to wait more than 20 mins for my order and 20 mins later, the staff told me that they don’t have what I ordered. He said he “could” give me a refund without any apologies. I wasted my time waiting for my order and his attitude made me even more upset. Very disappointed.
What a great found we did right in front of Rockefeller center it was a great way to start a busy day.
Good...Too good.
iced tea & yogurt
Perfect for delivered sweets with Prime Now
One of my favorite places in Midtown to stop for coffee, a cookie or lunch. Pro tip: If you don’t have a ticket to stand outside for the Today show you can sit inside and watch it while keeping cool/warm
Great coffee, and delicious and tasty food. However, the service could be better.
Love this place. It's cute and the food is great.
Very popular and so expect a cue. The baguette I had was warmed and came a bit burnt. However, the coffee was very good and better than what you can find around in the area.
Great place and great staff
Slow servers with a moderately friendly attitude. Great pastries and coffee sandwich was cold but the bun was fluffy and soft. Good displays and good ingredients. But still the servers need to move faster in my opinion they are very lazy!!! If it wasn’t in Manhattan you might be able to get away with moving slow but for god sake we are in to Rockefeller center you need to move faster
Terrible service! I walked in here with a group of 3 other friends. The line was 20 minutes long. We waited because we felt it would be worth it. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant with egg and waited thirty minutes for it. When I got it the center was ice cold. When I asked for another one, they somewhat reluctantly asked if they should heat it up. I told them to choose how they wanted to make it right. They chose to make another (which took 10 more minutes). Other people near me had cold sandwhiches as well and were complaining. Then when I got the new one - it was ice cold in the center too. I asked for my money back and never got a sorry. Just an attitude. I walked out hungry, but still spent money. I won't be back and my friends won't either. Somehow I'm not sure the staff cares about that.
The food was good. Just basic pastries done right and there is nothing more beautiful than a well done croissant. I felt a little unclear on how to order or I would have ordered more but that being said, the system they have in place for the number of people that go through there was impressive. The prices were also really great considering the location and the food served. I think I spent less than $10 for the coffee and pain au chocolate which for the city is a good deal. The macarons were also really reasonably priced compared to other areas of the city and I wish I would have gotten some. There's seating but it goes quick. Overall. It was a nice start to my day.
One of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had
macarons are very good, but the service was slow and it was very hot inside
This Chai taste like plastic! And the croissant was not warmed but stale. NT!
Quick service despite the long queue. Tried the breakfast combo which was a pretty good deal. You can choose coffee or tea (iced or hot), fruit bowl or yoghurt, and a breakfast pastry which I chose a chocolate almond croissant in this case. The croissant tasted like a mix between a Danish pastry and croissant. Pretty decent. If you sit at the window seating, you'll get to people watch and see the today morning show set-up/ tear-down depending on the time you come. It's right in front of the NBC experience.
Cash Only! I got the LiuShaBao. Sadly it wasn't running.... the bun was kinda of stale.... not flakey. I was so sad because I thought it would be so good but just very disappointing.
Bouchon Bakery, made beautiful and yummy Bouchon Bakery, for my baby shower. They were able to reference photos I sent to get the colors and style just right! Don't skip the chocolate...those were my favorite!
I first tried Bouchon in Youtville, Napa Valley, where I had the best ham and cheese sandwich of my life. I would wine over it for years, until I found out they had a bakery in New York (much closer to home). Everything is delicious, if you don't get to try a lot of things on the first visit, go back again!
Awesome bakery, the smell is amazing, the taste even more, I wish I could try everything there. Large choise of sweets and sandwiches, add to the fact that the coffee is great and the service is quick, and you found amazing place in best location.
The chocolate and almond crossiant + cafe latte was really good, but they got my order wrong so had to wait for the correct pastry. The place has small and if you want a table rather than a high bar/bench then you have to sit outside with the pigeons and sparrows eyeing your food and flying perilously close to you.
Nice pastries and baked goods. Overtly touristy since it is by Rockefeller center. Unfortunately they have no dine in service. Everything is served in paper cups and boxes. Not a place to go for a nice cappuccino and pastry, good for take away.
Could be better
There are not much of a choice.
Being on Keto, this was Not the best place to visit, but we were only getting coffee. Still, the temptation was great. The line was long so there was plenty of time to stare at the treats and comtemplate breaking our diet for what everyone was saying were amazing creations. Next time we will definitely break whatever diet we are on to imbibe.
Highly unpleasant service and the food is even worse. I would rather eat off the sidewalk for that price. No thank you. Is there a zero star rating?
Service was slow and server was indifferent. There are so many authentic bakery’s in NYC that offer a better selection and don’t treat you like they are doing you a favor by serving you. The food was ok but overpriced
Fabulous almond pastry right in Rockefeller center.
With the bakery next door its not worth the trip. My pasties made my stomach hurt and the coffee was terrible. Its across from the book store but its not good
Delicious macarons right in Rockefeller plaza area. Outdoor seating is available and you’ve got a great view of the plaza. I got a blueberry and a chocolate macaron. There were lots more flavors and other French pastries to choose from.
The coffee is actually terrible! Not a spot to go to for your coffee fix at all. Overcrowded and poorly serviced.
Top notch pastries and great coffee. I did not have lunch there or anything savory but I would assume it is good. Macarons are pretty awesome as well. A+ from Thomas Keller. Friendly staff is the icing on the cake. Long lines, high volume, worth the wait.
Ate here on the morning of July 20, 2019. Had my tastebuds set on a chocolate eclair for my 60th birthday breakfast. Had to settle for a minimal selection of items in the display case. Were they not expecting patrons at 7:30am? The chocolate croissant was soooo flaky it literally fell apart. Not a very enjoyable way to eat it, but it was OK none the less. Probably wouldn’t make the effort to come here again.
Best grilled cheese and tomato soup in town
Good coffee, delicious freshly baked items and fast, friendly service.
Excellent breakfast, lunch, dessert & coffee. Customer service is awesome!!
dont miss the Thomas Keller Oreo (TKO) AMAZING
The cookies and tarts are excellent! Better nutter and the chocolate peanut sandwich are so good, but so filling that they are best shared. It is a bit pricey, but not more than you would pay at other places in NYC. The only downside is that they don't have a bathroom!
I came here a while back and I still remember the food to date. When I first had the bite of pain Au chocolate I was in love. Every time I eat one now I think of how much worse it is than bouchon. The eclairs have REAL gold on them! The macaroons are also the best I’ve ever had. I dream everyday of coming back to NYC to have some more.
The almond croissants were amazing. In the cold of winter there is nothing better or warmer then snagging something here while you watch the Today show.
Bouchon Bakery offers a number of delectable treats, from delicious pastries to macarons. But you can also order a number of sandwiches and soups for a heartier meal (their grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup is legendary). There's also a nice coffee selection. Because of the location, this one caters mostly to tourists -- the staff works hard to move the line quickly. There are a few outdoor seats right on Rockefeller Plaza, and even the indoor counter seats give you a nice sense of the space. They deliver to offices in the area.
The place is small , not much seating place, the coffee wad very good ( tasted the espresso and cappuccino ) the pastries ware worth the money, i tried the cheese danish and i must say it was one of the best i tried . the prices are reasonable in NY standards and worth it.
So bad service this morning! Specially the coffee maker was so rude. I told low fat milk but she ignored and let me wait on purposely until I complained. I ordered regular and decaf cappuccino but she didn’t indicate which one is decaf. Morning stress!! I never go this place again.
So good!! The oatmeal raisin cookie was perfect!!
I really liked the location, got a chocolate almond croissant which was sooo good. Wanted to order some of their food items but there is no seating inside. They have a few tables outside but at 35 degrees, not happening.
Their Blueberry Macaroon is out of this world. MUST TRY.
The food is very good but please invest in more place to seat... Its ridiculous a place like that with 8 seats... half of your clients eating standing in the middle of the corridor (me included)
Love this place. Huge selection of foods: pizza, sushi, pasta, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, iced drinks. Tasty and healthy I would say
Great bakery! Only tried the macaroons and they were great. Chocolate and blueberry.
Food is fine, if overpriced. Overcrowded and slow service.
Awesome pastries!
Good sandwich, good pastries. I think they gave me a different thing than I ordered, but I could be wrong and misremembered one of my pastries. The ham and cheese sandwich was particularly standout.
We NEVER miss this place when we are in NYC...it is that good
Always love this place, any time that I am in NYC come here for a coffee and some of the pastries. They have a good selection of drinks, savoury and of course the sweet, a few tables outside in a good day and is perfect for a breach, this time we have bird eating with us at the table. Must try
Place was too cool to pass up, the cake was so inexpensive compared to how delicious it was!
Nothing but location will attract people. Tedious
The coffee is not good, too large, and too rushed. They don’t care if you ordered a dairy free milk with your cappuccino they will give you regular milk and tell you it’s almond milk. If you have a dairy allergy or intolerance avoid this place or only order coffee without any milk.

Superb. We got a danish that I still dream of. Flaky layers of pastry with a filling that tasted like the worlds best cheesecake.
Great macarons
Everything we ate was DELICIOUS!! We had the hot ham and cheese baguette. It was good. Then we had red velvet macaron. It was goooood!! Finished it off with the TKO. People were very nice and friendly. A little hiccup in service but they made up for it with a complimentary pastry. Price is fair considering the location. Give it a try if your nearby.
Ordered a quiche and iced tea. They misunderstood and thought I wanted a tea latte. The girl at the register was not going to refund me until I said something that it should be less. The quiche was a little runny. The iced tea tastes like it’s been sitting for days. I was really hoping for a better experience, the reviews on yelp are stellar. Perhaps a bad experience for me.
Loved the pumpkin muffin and the mocha! Expensive but worth it!
5 employees. Most did not know much about the operation of the business. The one who did was "in the back". As the line grew, so did tensions. We visited on Sunday 9/22/19. It wasnt busy until a refund needed to be given. Then, the cashier who knew what was going on had to be called out from back. The register operator exclaimed "this is why i dont like working with people. When it finally came to us to order, we asked for 2 macaroons. They filled our order twice bc no one was communicating and then gave us the wrong flavors. There are many more macaroon shops to choose from.
was great..staff nice n food decent...
BEST!! Went for coffees and a pastry. Found myself back in line for 2 additional pastries and a pretzel, Turkey and brie sandwich♡
Service is awful. Five employees standing behind the counter and only half one of them taking orders.
Long line to order, but much quicker than the Yountville location. They have outside seating, but it’s always packed every time I’ve passed by. It’s not as nice as the Yountville (California) location, but at least there’s (limited) seating inside. Can’t really say much about the pastries. I didn’t order any macaroons which is what they’re known for. Great cafe to sit and read a book or people watch.
Goat Cheese Pannacota!
Expensive pastries. But so good!!
You can't go wrong if you are looking for sweet treats. The cookies and key lime were delicious! The sandwiches are OK, but nothing out of the ordinary that justifies the price. There are a few tables outside and counter stools inside where you can sit...but they're always taken, so be prepared to wait.
Bakery is good, coffee is just ok. Location is nice for a coffee break but the place is kinda small. That being said, there is a big chance that you won't find a table or a chair on the window side. Very fast paced at coffee time, so hopefully you don't have too many questions. Otherwise I do consider they have a good customer service.
Very friendly staff, great location
Bouchon is arguably the best French Bakery in the US. It is incredibly hard to make a good macaroon, and this place is the closest you can get to a true French macaroon in the states. Highly recommend.
Usually the first stop one we leave Grand Central (after the bathrooms). I love the cookbook so having it prepared here is a treat. Also a great place for delicious lunch and espresso drinks. Almost always busy, but the line moves quickly. Be ready to enjoy your food at Rockefeller Center because seating is limited.
Love the macarons
The Bouchon Bakery at Rockefeller Center was a very nice place to stop for a quick breakfast while touring the area. The service was quick, the staff friendly and the food delicious, however be prepared to pay for all of this. I was caught a bit off guard when the price of my sandwich, pastry and coffee approached $40 after tax and tip.
Great patio if you can snag a table.
Best macaroons! Always grab a few when visiting NYC and around the area.
At these prices I expected a top notch croissant. It wasn’t.
Amazing treats and the staff was so kind!
Great food and wonderful outdoor seating with a great view! Loved the shortbread cookies for later in the hotel.
I love this bakery! The two guys helping me were very sweet. I highly recommend the caramel macarons!
Too crowded, tourist trap!
Au contraire to my taste for Italian pastry, these Frenchie guys kick major derriere✊
Excellent, freshly made chocolate chip cookie!
The macarons are big! A bit chewy though but still good
I was so excited to visit this bakery and I was disappointed immensely. Costumer service was extremely mediocre. I order a creampuff and a macaroon they were both dry and stale made me wanna commit macaroon suicide.
Amazing!!!!!!!! Great for breakfast or lunch. Fantastic selection of dessert and pastry items
I've been to New York twice and have gone to this bakery each time. The service was excellent and I even came around lunch hour. The first time I came I got a vanilla macaron which tasted absolutely wonderful. I have been to France and this may have been the best macaron I've had. The second time I got a chocolate eclair. The eclairs have gold flakes on them and are only five dollars. Highly recommend.
I'm going to need a 12-step program to keep me from ordering the Gruyere bread every day!
I love bouchon but this isn’t one of their best locations. The quality of the pastries are great as expected and the service is nice. However the selection is quite limited. Additionally there is very little seating. Come to think of it, that is pretty typical of most of the bouchon bakeries that I’ve been to.
Give it a try if your nearby but expect service to be a little slow.
Ignore the tourists and just enjoy. Bouchon is a great bakery. The Oh Oh’s are an awesome upscale HoHo. The cookies are huge and delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are better than you are thinking. It’s hard to criticize anything here. Oh, the outside tables need replacing and better umbrellas. The staff can be pretty clueless but if you know what you are doing it’s easily dealt with. And the coffee is ever so tasty.
A nice place to watch the action in Rock Center. Good selection of pricey pastries and sandwiches.
Great bakery with an awesome location. This french bakery has a great selection of pastries and the coffee was great. In addition, the location next to Rockefeller center makes this place a winner. I would definitely recommend. Try to catch a table outside if the weather is good.
The chocolate croissants are buttery, flaky and delicious, just like they should be but are so difficult to find around here.
Best macaroons ever!
The best croissant in New York City.
Chocolate croissants were amazing. No cutaomer restrooms, use Rockefeller Plaza first floor.
The quality is far from exceptional. Also, we are in 2019, no need for so much packaging: remember there is no planet B. I was shocked by the packaging.
Yummy! A lot to choose from.
Delicious coffee and croissants. I was in need of something delicious and energetic to keep me walking and found this place that did just that.
So far, I have liked everything I've tried here. Their croissants and macarons are my favorites. Reasonable prices for quality fresh-baked goods. Great stop for breakfast, lunch and after-work treat in a convenient location.
Best Brioche I have ever tasted. Staff here is always amazing.
Truly a French pastry shop. Our breakfast stop in the morning. A quick walk from the Waldorf Astoria. Great pastries, coffee, sandwiches and service! The chocolate almond croissant is out of this world - seriously! It’s worth every penny!
Everything is so fresh and heavenly; croissant and brownies worth trying
Best almond croissant ever.
Terrible service with catering. Decided to use them for a business meeting I had in NY and the catering (breakfast) was never delivered. I called 4 times 30 minutes after it was supposed to arrive and the catering office called back about an hour later after the meeting already started and said she's not sure what happened and that she would call back. Received that call back about 6 hours later as I was in the Uber heading to the airport. Beyond that she began to explain how the delivery person attempted to call me (a call I never received) and then for some reason started to get aggressive as if the whole thing was my fault. I've emailed and the catering manager (Katrina W.) hasn't even bothered to reach back out. And now I'm stuck with a $200+ bill for something that was never delivered. I usually order from Panera and they never disappoint... they catered lunch that same day without any issues. My mistake for trying to give Bouchon a try... never again. @Bouchon Catering. Thanks for nothing.
I was here this past Sunday to grab a bite for breakfast and this was the best experience I ever had thanks to Carolyn! She was so friendly and patient with me since it was my first time there and she really took the time to feel welcome at bouchon. She is such an asset to the company and it would be such a mistake if the company ever lost her. The other manager on duty didn't seem so friendly; would love to see Carolyn grow with this company. Thank you for the great experience!
Other than Laduree, best macarons. Service great
We went there for breakfast while staying in New York Manhattan for the weekend. My quiche was very good, but my partner’s smoked salmon sandwich was cold, stale and expensive. We wanted to split a pastry so I asked to have it cut in half but was told that I can use the knife by myself. I ordered an Americano coffee. I waited for it a while and finally a cup with a lid was pointed to me as my order. When I took the lid off it turned out to be a regular coffee, which the server apologized for and I had to wait again for the Americano. It’s always appreciated when staff can go one extra step for a customer instead of doing the minimum required.
Stopped in here to grab a quick snack and to warm up. The hot chocolate is the most expensive item on the menu but I'm sure that's supply and demand. Don't get me wrong...I wanted more hot chocolate after I had it. Very good and the barista is legit! The coffee crumble cake was great. I like the small layer of chocolate added in the middle. YUM!!! Wish I could have tried more.
Oh. My. Gyosh! This place, though! After tromping for hours around the city on my only day to play, I finally found a place that takes plastic! Score 1! To find only a short line inside was shocking as it smells so good in here, and it's nice and dry. The patio was abandoned due to the weather, so it was crowded inside, standing room only, but everyone was polite and respectful. I had difficulty choosing from their fine assortment of baked goods, but settled on the almond croissant and a dark roast coffee. Felix was courteous and patient, and, get ready for big FAT bonus 2, he asked for the name for the order and I watched as he typed it in CORRECTLY, no prompts or hints from me! I asked, "Did you just spell that with an E Y?" He almost timidly answered that he had. I think i scared him with the level of joy that brought me, but he was happy once he knew it was a good thing he had done. Next, Jason told me my total, which was far less than I had been expecting! I told him had I known that was the price, I would have gotten something else additionally and that I may have to go back around through the line. He asked what I wanted and went back and got a cheese danish for me so I skipped the 2nd line-standing. Score #3! For the big finale, I found a place in a corner with an outlet to charge my dying phone (camera) and took a bite of the croissant. Dense, but not heavy. Crispy outside, soft and flakey inside. Filled with just the right amount of almond paste, this thing was perfect! And the coffee! It was just like espresso, so also, PERFECT! All around perfect experience for this Florida country girl. Oh, and the cheese danish was the best I've ever had, and I've had many. The whole staff seemed great and the atmosphere was friendly I wholeheartedly recommend Bouchon Bakery!
Thomas Keller just had the places love his restaurants or cafes!
Great bakery with a wonderful selection! We enjoyed our experience in NYC!
Great Lobster Rolls. Surprised they're served cold, but still highly recommend.
Great location to people watch Especially in am the today show Great service and food and coffee Could install winter door wind stopper chilly when sitting down over all fantastic and reasonably priced
This is the only cafe in ny, where the staff are very rude! We are there every day and every morning employees are trying to sell yesterday's cookies. When we ask for fresh cookies, the staff is always rude! We wanted to call the manager and say why we should listen to rudeness from the staff every morning, but they refuse to call the manager! This is our choice of what kind of cookies or sandwich we want to buy.
Love this place! It's my favorite of their 3 locations. I'm never disappointed with their food. The guys and gals behind the counter have the art of taking orders down to a science. Of course the potato balls are my favorite but their fruit danishes are good too. I've also had the chicken croquettes and their ham and cheese omelette crossaint. Both were yummy, of course!
Amazing macaroons. Haven’t tried the coffee beans yet
One of the best places I ever been ! Beautiful from outside tasty from inside Little pricey but for the adventure It’s worth the price
Staff was rude and they got my order wrong. Pathetic performance.
Great place to get a quick bite. Food is always delicious.
Delicious treats! There is usually a line but it always moves really fast. It's very cozy and across the street from Rockefeller Center and the Today Show set. If you aren't looking for it you may pass right by. The coffee cake, hot chocolate, and macaroons are definitely a must to try!
Almond croissant was all butter and no taste so many calories
Their cupcakes are to die for. It's that good. Especially the frosting.
Nice brownies - 5, Macaroons - 4-, coffee 4, prices - 3
A bakery of nothing but delicious looking treats and some of the freshest coffee around.
Good selection but always being rushed because it so busy.
Hard to resist the treats. Give me one of each!
Just great! Amazing bread and sandwiches were superb!
Very busy cafe but the service was quick. We tried the corn soup, which was mediocre. The coffees were good. We ordered the PB&C (peanut butter and chocolate) sandwich cookie, which was tasty, but we enjoyed the chocolate babka more. The pistachio macaroon was perfectly chewy and full of flavour - and the blueberry macaroon wasn't bad too! The staff were super helpful!
Pretty good bakery right in Manhattan. A little slow but quality was good.
Best eclair, shortbread cookie and coffee cake I've ever had!!
Takes them 15 minutes to warm up a sandwich
Just because Christmas brings family together every year and love coming to see the tree which is the best part and the hot chocolate of course ❤️
They service and move pretty fast but not rushed. Quality stuff
Very slow service. The food looks better than it is. Very much factory quality food - desserts, sandwiches and croissants are nothibg special. Prices are insultingly high. The best part of this bakery is the location at Rockefeller Plaza.
Bouchon the name says it all and the demi baguette with jam and butter to die for... Always makes me feel like there's hope for the world!
Nice place for a quick bite! I love their caramel latte!
The chocolate cake is terrific!! The seasonal pizza slices are also usually very delicious. They always have fresh bakery stuff being made. Last but not the least, their stuff is very fairly priced.
I waited 30 mins for them to warm up a already made sandwich. That’s ridiculous.
Excellent hot chocolate, dark rich cocoa flavor which is what I was looking for, prices could be a bit better though.
I've tried a number of their pastries and desserts, they're pricey but around what you can expect from a popular midtown bakery. I wasn't very impressed by the pastries from behind the counter but actually found the packaged snacks above the counter and around the register to be quite good. I recommend the bagged brownies and shortbread cookies, but -1 star for the tiny bag of brownies being $10.
The most delicious croissant you will ever taste
Half an hour wait to get a turkey sandwich slightly warmer. Thanks Bouchon.
Oh my word this place is great!
Hod bad for you baked goods. I stick to the Granola Bars.
Good environment. Limited indoor seating. Hot Chocolate served is unfortunately lukewarm-disappointment
All kinds of pastries are so great.
Good iced coffee! Really cute inside.
Nice cafe to grab breakfast and coffee. We had front row seats to Good Morning America which was being filmed right outside which was really cool. The space is cramped when busy, but pretty quick service. Wish they had more food items that aren't bread/pastries.
Slow female barista this morning doesn't follow line of orders - easy machine makes coffee at the push of a button no skills needed like Starbucks - better training may help her
Very crowded pre and post Today Show filming, but very cute and has good coffee.
