Very busy little shop- and understandably so! We had our wedding cake and cupcakes made here and people went crazy over them. there are so many flavors and the cakes are moist and delicious. If you need an amazing cake, this is the place!! We needed to change our order a few hours before our scheduled pick up because our daughter got sick the day before her birthday party, and we were able to change the order to the following week. The cake was incredible and delicious - I just gave her the theme of the party and said "go for it!" and our daughter was absolutely thrilled. The cake was brought to my car in the freezing rain and snow, and I was sent off with a hug - couldn't be happier with the service from Q's Cakes and Sweets!!!

I live in NYC and was planning a surprise party for my friend in ABQ, so I had no idea what to expect when ordering from Q. Would it taste good? Would it be beautiful? Yes and YES!! Not only was the cake soooooo delicious (Vegan chocolate cake with fresh raspberry filling) but it was STUNNING! My new mother-in-law stumbled upon this place and got me to taste their cakes for my wedding. I am so glad I did. I had Q and her team make our wedding cake and it was both beautiful and delicious! Everyone gave me compliments on the cake. I had three tiers which had white, chocolate, and lemon cake. It was all good but the lemon was the best. Everyone ate EVERY. BIT. of the cake. She used fondant on our cake which I don't prefer, but her fondant wass so good that I actually thought it was buttercream. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I recommend!

Made with fresh products and made from scratch. Q will go above and beyond to even meet your dietary needs. We have family who are vegan, and she makes the best vegan cakes around. So good you can’t even tell it is vegan/dairy free. Qs classes are also great! She’s so patient in teaching you cake decorating techniques and makes it fun and easy for all ages. 5 stars all around!

First met Q in 2015, when she made my gender reveal cake. It was within 24 hour notice, as I couldnt wait any longer to find out what we w ere having. She agreed to do the cake with so little notice. The cake was DELICIOUS! It was a strawberry cake . About a month ago she made a fat unicorn cake for one of my dear friends, which was a huge hit at the party. It was a marbel cake with ganache filling. Buttercream ruffles and the cutest fondant fat unicorn. More recently Q made the most amazing berry chantilly cake for a relatives birthday. I tell you what whole foods can't touch this. It was overloaded in fresh berries, super moist. It was a melt in your mouth cake. The icing was so creamy and amazing! We currently have another cake for pickup this weekend and cannot wait to indulge! I highly recommend Q's Cakes. They have wonderful customer service, great staff, delicious treats and more. Plus they are all scratch made, which is totally worth every penny!

I have had been to the bakery multiple times already and I have never had a bad experience! The staff are some of the most wonderful people that ABQ has to offer and their sweets and treats.... TO DIE FOR! I don't like overly sweet cakes, and they have the prefect balance! My favorite item hands down is the strawberry cupcake but I recently was at a party and had a Chantilly cake from the bakery and let me just say, amazing doesn't even begin to describe how good it was! I stopped by Queneesha Meyers' shop, Q's Cakes. My goal was to buy a slice of cake. When I got there, she was still decorating a couple of cakes. One was her new cake, NEAPOLITAN. Once I saw it, I KNEW it was mine! I wasn't there for a slice: I NEEDED the whole cake! Boy, am I happy I bought it! It is INCREDIBLE! You need to go by and let her hook you up with a cake. She also does custom orders and she ships cakes out-of-state. I included a photo of the NEAPOLITAN CAKE! It is beautiful; AND, it tastes better than it looks!

The owner was very nice and gracious, but I’m afraid the proof is in the cake- it was not moist, way too sweet and so dense that no one at my mom’s 50th birthday party finished their portion, and over half the cake was left uneaten. Maybe this was a fluke bake for this business, but I do know that I will be searching for a different bakery for any future cakes or baked goods I might need.

I don't live in ABQ, but I've ordered her coconut cream cake several times (in cake and cupcake form). There are some great cake places where I live that make similar cakes, but NOTHING comes close to Q's. NOTHING! It is worth the shipping, and the wait.

I love to give small businesses a try, so I ordered a strawberry whip cream cake for my birthday. I asked details about size how many will it feed. Mentioned we had 6 people she said it's a perfect size. When I picked it up all the way from Bernallio the floor was full of flour, it has a sour smell and the employee was on the phone. So I waited for about 10 min. Got the cake and left. It fed all 6 of us, but we all pretty much got a very tiny, tiny slice, I paid $50 for a taste. The sides had no whip topping and the strawberries in top were wilted. I was very upset and I will never recommend anyone to Q cakes. In fact I'll be sure to say if your going to buy a cake, don't get it from Q cakes. Very Disappointed. Still shocked it was so small for the price. As you can imagine zero left overs.

Went in a few weeks ago, the place was packed and we still got great customer service, Q even gave my son and I a hug since she had just met me in person since we only knew one another through FB. The cupcakes were sold out which is understandable since I hear they're amazing. We got a red velvet brownie, and a regular brownie which both were ahhhmazing we were extewmely happy with our treats!!! I had high hopes in this bakery as it's woman-owned and operated, it's a local business, and it had great reviews. Ordered a 2-tiered cake for a baby shower and Q and I went over several photos of what the cake could look like. Placed my order over a week in advance. Paid nearly $200 for this cake and it came back looking rag-tag and not like a single photo we discussed. When I arrived at the agreed-upon time it wasn't finished yet. She somehow had forgotten what writing to put on the cake so she asked and started cookie-cutter cutting out letters in white fondant. The frosting was pale and not at all vibrant (like she skimped on food coloring), and the decorations were plain. I could have made my own cake for a fraction of the price I paid and it would have looked better. As for flavor, the top half was a nice chocolate, very moist. But the bottom half (the biggest portion) was a very dry vanilla, so over half of the guests had the dry portion and only a few had the moist portion. The mother of the baby wasn't pleased and I was embarrassed to bring this cake to her house - it looked like someone unprofessional made it and it didn't look anywhere near worth the nearly $200 I paid for it. Super disappointed.

So I ordered a cake for 15 to 25 people in advance! I asked for a nice and fancy cake since we were celebrating two birthdays! I’m from out of town and this bakery was recommeded to me, but I will not be returning! The cake was very simple and plain, there was no creativity with it even though I asked the bakery to go all out! I paid $60 for this cake and next time I’ll go to Walmart, Sams, or the corner market for my next cake! I am very disappointed and I was embarrassed to bring this cake to the party! I have always made my own cakes but since I was on vacation I thought it would be nice to let someone else make the cake, I was wrong and I will not make that mistake again!

Queenie was an absolute delight to work with. I found her at a bridal expo, where her cakes were not only the most delicious, but she knew the kind of specialized cake that I was talking about for my daughter's wedding. Her knowledge and willingness to create something "out of the ordinary" really won me over. At the wedding, all the guests remarked on the delicious and unusual cakes -- and for those of us who were already experienced with these cakes (Swedish Princess Torte), Q's creations were absolutely perfection! Also, her prices are extraordinarily reasonable, but don't go there just because her cakes are inexpensive -- go because they are truly excellent. I cannot recommend her highly enough! ( P.S. I also posted a photograph of the cakes she made for my daughter's wedding because they were so lovely)

I first met Q a little over a year ago when I stumbled upon her bakery after a very emotional day. I needed a cupcake but had no idea how to go about it. (Was not feeling the basic Walmart cardboard flavor) I had heard about Q's Cakes from MANY friends, but I've never been the type to go somewhere just for a cupcake. That's totally not the situation now! She not only helped my daughter and I figure out this whole new world of cake flavors (and frosting options) that we've never seen, but she sat down with us as we enduldged in our creamy delicious cupcakes. Between the wonderful uplifting conversation and the perfectly sweet amazingness that was kicking my taste buds, I knew that this would be a new hang out spot for my family. Not only are the cupcakes delicious, they also have a couple different flavors of brownies (red velvet is a must try!), chocolate covered Oreos, daily special cakes by the slice (she's made me love flavors I've never liked before), and MACARON'S!!!!! To name a few items. A year later I had asked Q to do my daughter's 4th birthday cake..Paw Patrol..and my daughter wanted LOTS going on on her cake, but we only needed a small cake. I showed Q a few idea photos and told her to just do her thing with what she had to work with. Shortly before I needed the cake, the bakery got broke into. They had to close the store to repair the damages, and replace items that were stolen. I told Q not to worry about the cake and to focus on the clean up. She insisted that everything was fine and she was on it. Yet again, she blew my mind! The cake was perfect! It turned out amazing! My daughter was in love and so were her birthday guests! The cake was so moist and full of flavor. I will definitely use Q's Cakes for all our cake needs and my sweet tooth cravings.

Had my Air Force retirement cake made by Q's. I had the red velvet and it was delicious! Even my husband who's pretty critical of cakes, said it was very good and had seconds. I went with the Capt Marvel theme and she did a pretty awesome job with it. I had lots of people ask me where I got my cake from. I'm currently eating leftovers! She also gave me military discount and brought the cake out to my car. I will definitely be ordering from Q again. I added a pic under photos. I did forget to ask her to write on it so one of my coworkers added some writing.

I've had 2 from her, a vanilla and a red velvet and they were to die for. I got my aunt turned on to her cakes and she ordered a beautiful baby shower cake which was also amazing. I've been ordering everything from Q for 5+ years from all of her locations, and have yet to be disappointed. If anything, I've always been surprised by the consistent and reasonable pricing I receive for such exceptional quality. I've had birthday, baby & bridal shower, wedding, military ball and numerous other occasions I've ordered for; from months in advance to the last second (which I don't recommend because it's not fair to her business), and have never been told no or let down. I have family in California that live within walking distance to bakeries and they have orders shipped from Q. I have never really liked coconut and she converted me to my all time favorite cake ever, her coconut (might as well be crack) cake. My guilty pleasure is freezing a slice & having it with coffee. I can't say enough good things about this woman, her business, and the positive influence she has on family, friends and the community. My only regret is not ordering from her more, but I'd bankrupt myself and my clothes wouldn't fit. If you haven't ordered yet, you are missing out on one of life's guilty pleasures and a true blessing - I'm talking about Q and her baked goods ;-) Support this woman-minority-Veteran-owned small business!!!

Ive had many things made by the mgr, Alicia and chocolate covered oreo's made by Q . Both have landed in the top tier of my taste buds. I dont understand these negative reviews. Too yummy.

I cannot tell you how wonderful this place is! Queen Q made a cupcake bouquet for my kiddo away touring college campuses on her 17th birthday, which falls on a Monday (the only day that the boutique is closed). Q personally came in and met my courier (I am in Michigan) to get my baby girl her birthday cupcakes!!! Not to mention that they are GORGEOUS. Best. Bakery. Ever.
