Super duper top secret recipe semi-sweet soft bread stuffed with the tastiest savory and sweet things??? Heck yeah man! I got to meet the owner and he was very thankful for our business, and encouraged me to try everything. :p You can absolutely taste the quality of the bread itself. It takes 3 days from start to finish for the dough to be prepped and proofed before stuffed and cooked, and jeez they are addictive. I recommend the jalapeno popper, the sausage and gravy, or just a simple cream cheese. They have fruit filled and chocolate kolaches as well. All I would love to see as an improvement are hours of operation, they close by 2pm I believe and some night after work I'd love to go have dinner at Kolache Factory and I can't. Otherwise it's a great experience. Fast, delicious, and a great variety to satiate whatever you're in the mood for.

My daughter and I had our day together.She wanted to take me to try some of there delicious items. Ok. Just something new for a change. I'm not one to offend easily,but. Well there were patrons in front of us,as we both noticed that the cashier was smiling,cheerfully,with a delightful attitude. Well her total demeanor changed when it was our turn to order. My daughter ordered about $25.worth of eatables when I noticed the female cashier flipped her demeanor.As the women was retrieving our order,the women seemed to have an attitude,not polite,smiling,or any sort of thoughtfulness as she showed to previous customers. I looked at my daughter and asked quietly, geez did you notice that? My daughter said yes. I said if no one says anything no one will know. We just felt terribly disgusted with how we were treated in this facility. My daughter is only 20yrs and studies full time at UNM on her 4 year. She studies sociology,among her other classes. She would understand why people act the way they do,but average people ask why does a nationality (being Asian) matter. In short it shouldn't.

The Kolachis are extremely delicious and have a big variety. Kolachis are basically rolls cooked with food on the inside. They have barbecue, pizza, eggs and ham, cheese steak etc. All are yummy. My only gripe is the lack of drinks and that some of our Kolachis were slightly warm on the inside and not hott like the others. All of us got some like that and they were tossed away but the hott Kalachis were quickly gobbled up.

Drove from across town where i live to apply for a job here and even if it looked promising the manager never called back. I guess thats how employment is. In the 50s and 60s if you could prove yourself you were hired. Now its all about pretty faces. Just hope the employees are loyal.

Delicious kolaches make an excellent morning or lunch. Unfortunately they close earlier than you'd hope, but the selection and taste totally makes up for it. Try bacon and cheese, bbq brisket, or Polish sausage. Almost everything is excellent.

Both my partner and I have had really positive interactions with the Store Manager, who as of this review is Teddy Wilson. This is the reason this restaurant gets 5 stars from me. I interviewed Wilson for a class project earlier this month. (I'm taking a class on food studies at UNM, and for the final project each student traces an ingredient's commodity chain.) This interview earned him a lot of respect from me. I learned that he "insists" (his words) on sourcing every ingredient from a butcher or farmer in (or as close to) New Mexico—green chile from Hatch, cheese and spinach from Las Cruces, and so forth. He also explained that he gets steak from cattle that is locally raised, grass-fed, open-range, and even allowed to live a full reproductive cycle (including calving) of 4 years instead of being slaughtered at 2 years as cattle typically are. The best part is, this decision was made by the Manager himself—there is no brand policy forcing him to, meaning that he chooses to source locally because he believes it's important. Oh, and the secondary reason: the kolaches are to die for.

I am now a Kolache fan! These little things are darn tasty. My personal favorites are the Sausage and Gravy and the Sausage, Jalapeno, and Cheese. Those are both amazing in the mornings. I try to stop in here whenever I am on Paseo in the mornings. Definitely a unique and tasty breakfast food

Always yummy! If you get there early enough it is so hard to chooses from the selection that they have! I only get them as treats when I get to visit friend and family in the Alburquerque, NM area so they are always a treat! Monthly specials are always an adventure , but fair warning .....if you like them , eat all you can because alot of times when that month is up they are gone!

Heavenly pockets of bread filled with such amazing fillings! LOVE the green chili, egg, and cheese kolache! Sausage, ham, bacon, with or without eggs, cheese, I'm drooling just thinking about these! The bread is so soft and perfect! I can't express how wonderful kolaches are! You must try them! The staff has always been friendly and a nice dining area. LOVE THiS PLACE!

Son likes the stuffed rolls. I think they're ok, but I really like the pastries. I gave only three stars because the counter help is completely worthless and they are put out out when you show up. Won't be back anytime soon.

Both my wife and I love the taste of the bread of these Czech influenced hand held delights. I had a ham and cheese filled croissant that I ate too fast because it was so good. My wife enjoys the Italian chicken kolache and the cinnamon sticks they had this time. One of our favorite places for a handheld easy lunch or breakfast.

Great option for party food! We've gotten large orders of kolaches a few times for birthday parties etc. The staff are very courteous and I've never had any issues with my order. Guests always seem to enjoy the food. The one downside is that the savory lunch type kolaches probably are better served warm, which is hard to do at a party away from home. But you'd have the same issue with any other type of food unless you had catering trays with burners, etc. There's a discount when you buy a dozen, so you don't have to buy their preset party tray to get the discount. You can mix and match your own flavors.

Delicious bundle of flavor in each one. The dough is soft perfection. We tried the pizza, Philly steak and the New Mexican. All were stuffed with meat and cheese, no skimping, and the green chili has just the right kick to it. Can't wait to go back and try more!

I don’t know how long this bakery has been here, but I’m glad today I’ve finally found my favorite bakery in Albuquerque! I tried both savory and sweet and I love them all! The savory are always yummy! And the sweets are just right, not super sweet like pastries from other bakeries. They’re just perfect! Soo yummy and reasonable prices! Definitely will be back for more kolaches!

FIRST VISIT: Unfriendly and bored workers make me not want to come back! We had never heard of this place and stumbled in there after visiting a shop next door. It was completely empty at 12noon and we were trying to figure out what was being sold here. There were a some trays behind the counter with these round balls of dough with different flavors/signs surrounding them. Were these round balls of dough/bread filled with them? We weren't 100 percent sure and guess what, the non-smiling and unfriendly counter-person wasn't about to explain either. The counter person was listed as #42 (from the receipt) and he seemed rather annoyed that we were there. He never smiled once and seemed like he didn't want to bother helping explain what they were selling and how things worked. Again, I know this isn't rocket-science but we hadn't seen anything like this before. Were these buns just flavored or did they actually have something inside? We didn't know and tried to ask but #42 just wasn't in a good mood. We ordered a simple mocha, a jalapeño & cheese and a chocolate cheese. Noting special about the mocha and my wife said her chocolate cheese was fine. MY jalapeño & cheese was ok: It was just a soft bun with stuffed with a little cheese and peppers. Nothing special here and I was still hungry but I didn't want to order anything else. To be honest, we kept talking about the rude service and rather than make a meal of this place, we just decided to get out as fast as we could. Ever eat at a place for the first time and have the staff ruin your visit? Ever vow that you'll never return to a restaurant because of the staff? For us, this is one of those places.

Worth giving a try. ordered sausage green chile its a whole link not ground. The "pizza" is just pepperoni no sauce or chesse. The green chile chesse and egg was the best i had the New Mexican was alright. In total we had ordered 2 sausage green chile 2 pizza 2 green chile chesse and egg 2 new Mexican and 1 cream cheese chocolate. 9 in total 24$ and some change by the way they have to be heated up in a microwave. Ours were not heated up throughout.

Decent Kolaches, good cinnamon rolls. I got the BBQ Brisket and it was ok. There was a good amount of flavor, but the taste wasn't the best. This place is good if you are looking for a quick breakfast or lunch of you haven't tried before, but other than that it wasn't all that great.

My mom and I visited the Kolace Factory, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We tried the pizza, Italian chicken, chicken enchilada, and potato egg and cheese kolaches. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly. I recommend to anyone looking for a quick, nonfilling meal option.

The kolache are so good. I got a bunch for breakfast for my family. My favorites were the spinach kolach and the sausage, egg and cheese kolach. I will definitely be going back because these are the perfect breakfast food. I had one heated up for the trip back home since I live pretty far. The lady at the counter was so nice and helpful as well.

Ever since I first visited this place in Texas I have been dying to have one here. But when it came, I never knew it would come with an absolutely insanely high level of quality in all aspects. The manager, Teddy needs to be given a raise. He can not possibly ever make enough money. His dedication to quality is what makes this store above all others. Local humanely treated meat, top quality veggies including specially selected Chile for the Kolaches that include it. This place deserves more like 100 stars. If you've never heard of it, give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I have had Kolache's in Texas and they were always my favorite! So when I heard about a Kolache Factory here in Albuquerque I was really excited! My dad is here in town and I thought it would be a great place to bring him and my boyfriend. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. We showed up at 11 am (early because after reading the reviews I thought it would be a good idea because favorites tend to go fast) they were out of SO MANY of them and when I asked the cashier about it, she was so incredibly rude. This was nothing like the reviews I've read. She was the rudest cashier I've ever encounter in my life. I will NOT be going back. Really disappointing :(

I heart Kolache Factory. Having been a regular in Austin, I was so happy when they opened one in Albuquerque which is even better. Same high quality yummy dough that is sweet and yeasty. Same flavorful ingredients in so many varieties. They even have Katz coffee. But better than the Austin locations is the cleanliness, nice decor, and free Wi-Fi! Why would anyone go broke at Flying Star getting pricey food and drinks when you can grab a table at Kolache Factory and hammer out some emails while chowing down on delicious and inexpensive kolaches? I like to meet people here for business as well as bring a morning date. The guy who runs the place is friendly and outgoing. There are always coupons available online. This place is a diamond in the rough, especially when you're looking for an alternative to breakfast burrito. And the chile in the New Mexican kolache is legit spicy. Yum!

Stopped in here while in Albuquerque for the weekend. Super good, I am probably going back tomorrow. The bread is like a Hawaiian roll. The new Mexican is a little over spiced to me. The Philly isn't great and the jalapeno poppers is a lot of cheese. All the other ones are super good though. Love the breakfast ones and the Italian chicken
