I've had cakes made here before that were pristine and beautiful. The cakes tasted good but this cake for my sons birthday was not what we were expecting for the price. (We added the happy birthday banner, the tent, the big ONE, and the Lion ourselves) we went in a showed the baker the cake we wanted, and I expected to get that. The cake was nice but honestly the details looked like a child did it for as much as we paid. The polkadots were colored balls that were squished down showing the white inside. The bunting flags were cut jagged in some places. The white "string" holding the flags was piped on extremely sloppy and even the red balls attached to the white string was crushed on with someone's finger I'm assuming, sloppy. GAVIN in the middle was shaky and the white dots around it were just piped on there without care. Looked like not alot of care was put into the cake at all. I was expecting what we showed the Baker when we ordered. It's disappointing because we have had cakes done before and they were beautifully made. This one however was nice, but again just looked childishly made and not alot of care. Don't know if will be back to try again for a detailed cake like this. Maybe someone was having an off day, I'm not sure... but the taste of the cake was good as usua

Strange name but a huge selection inside. There's a surprising lack of great bakeries around my area (Ewing/Lawrence) and the Italian People's Bakery really only has breads and sweets. This place has all the rest - pies, pastries, donuts, cakes. We got an apple crumble the first time in. The topping was very good but the apples were a bit tough. Cream donuts were tasty too!

First, to those that believe Et Gud is expensive go to DunKin Donuts (I probably did not spell it right because I will not take in empty calories for substandard food) ; that said, Et Gud is exception. I have lived in this town since I was married 32 years ago and hands down it is one of the best bakeries in New Jersey. Unfortunately , it is not sexy and therefore, overlooked. If more people knew about it, there would be lines out the door.

I was very happy when i found this bakery so close to my apartment complex. So, i went there to order my son's birthday cake (with a solar system theme) in December. The front desk ladies who were helping me with my order were very nice & helpful. But it took them a lot of efforts for them to convince the baker inside (probably). They clearly looked embarrassed at some point. However, the cake didn't taste good at all. It was very very dry. Also, it didn't look good too. Overall, it was amateurish job, didn't meet ant expectation.

Fifty-five years ago I would drive my Mom from Hopewell to Eat Gud Bakery! Her favorite were the Raisin Bars among other goodies; their speciality cakes were the best! I just left Eet Gud, under new owners and it is still the best! Yes, they still have the Raisin Bars!

Bought a scone, apple dumpling, and chocolate cannoli. They were all really good and are worth what you pay for. Though the woman gave me a muffin instead of scone, their service was fantastic and they made sure I was happy with everything. I'd recommend it to a friend.

I Ordered a cake for a private party. Got the cake home and it was stale. I was told it was just made fresh that day. Ended up throwing it out. The only thing fresh was the icing. Cake was about a week old. Waste of money.

I've been going here for years. My sister's wedding cake came from here besides many birthday cakes over the years. This really is an old school classic bakery... The bread, donuts, cakes and pies are the best in any of the surrounding counties, in my opinion. And it would be an Injustice if you don't visit the deli side where all sandwiches are made with Boarshead meats and cheeses. You don't know what you are missing if you are in the area and run to those convenience marts where you pay more for low quality food, smh

I have passed this bakery for years but have never stopped in. My son was graduating from HS so since it was local i decided to give them a try.I ordered a quarter sheet sheet cake with whipped cream and strawberries and not only was it delicious it was absolutely beautifully decorated. I totally recommend if you haven’t tried this bakery to definitely do so.

$3.99 for a tiny bear claw? If I had known they doubled their prices I would never have come back here. Yes it was pretty good but the ancient workers were slow and I get the feeling they charge whatever they feel like depending on what you look like. Is that even legal? No prices posted and seem to remember they never charged me the same price twice in a row when I used to come here regularly a few years ago. Time to find a better local bakery- this place is for friends of the owners only.
