A hidden treasure in Peapack Gladstone, calling this a bakery is like calling a Monet a 'picture'. Broad selection of fine pastries, both sweet & savory, with rotating selections: tarts, croissants, muffins and scones. Coffee is excellent and there are delicious home made soups for lunch. Take a trip over, you WILL be delighted!

I am giving it 2 stars for their chocolate moose and rum ball. Those were pretty good the rest not so much . We wanted to try a lot of pastries so we got chocolate moose, rum ball and chocolate croissant, plus 2 caramel macchiatos. Chocolate croissant was just plain croissant. When we split it in half there was so little chocolate that we looked at each other and asked if it was a joke . We went in after not even touching the croissant and the macchiatos( because they tasted just like plain espresso, not caramel macchiato), and told them that we don't want to even try it because there is barely any chocolate and CARAMEL macchiatos didn't taste like it at all. Also my fiancé who was there with me is a baker and said to them that it wasn't really a chocolate croissant since he knows something about it . One of the workers Andy told us that's just how they make it and that if we want he can put it in the oven for us. So I told him no thank you just the check. I think every normal business ( including ours) wouldn't charge for something customer didn't like and DIDNT TOUCH but not these guys I paid for 2non-caramel macchiato which I didn't even drink, and NON CHOCOLATE croissant that was as we were given on the plate . To which I asked are you really charging me for something I didn't even touch because it was so bad? He said I ll do you a favor I won't charge for the croissant which was only 3.25$ . But did charge 10$ for 2 macchiatos that we didn't drink. The attitude was not pleasant at all and I will never go back.

I want to give the place more stars. But the taste needs to be improved and refined. Being in the middle between an American pastry shop ( on the taste) and a French/Italian (on the looks) does not cut it. The ingredients as well as the sugar need to be improved. Also there is a need to stick to original authentic recipes. Best is the raspberry tart since it is less sweet and the fresh raspberries help balance the taste between sweet and sour.

I love their pistachio and pine nut cookies and their hot chocolate. I always stop in there when I am in the area. The service is always painfully slow, maybe because I went there during busy hours, there is always a line and slow service, but food tastes good.

Best bakery in a few towns around. A bit on the expensive side... If you're buying a cake... The price is probably go8ng to restrict it to special occasions. But yes it's totally worth it. I got it for an office birthday of a friend. Everyone loved it.

Just dropped in to try the Mexican hot chocolate. It was $3.75 but delicious. Everyone was very friendly. They said the chocolate actually comes from Mexico with spice in it. Place is clean. They serve soups and sandwiches too.

Best ham and cheese croissant ever. Light buttery and flakey in the morning. Took one home and it was still good at 4:00, just not as light but so awesome. My husband loved it. The quiche was really good, the savory scone was good too. Best pastry shop I’ve been to since I was a child. I live near Philadelphia

Mocha latte was absolutely TERRIBLE - tasted like chocolate with water. No taste of espresso and definitely NO steamed milk. Returned it and person who took it back asked me if anything was wrong. When I explained how it was not what a latte should be and instead it was just chocolate with water she said nothing and didn’t offer a replacement. Unacceptable “customer service” or should I say LACK of customer service. Never returning!
