This Bakery belongs to the category of Bakery.
Great food with good selection. Reasonably priced given that it's located alongside an interstate.
A magical wonderland of baked goods, high-quality ingredients, and tools to make baking easier.
Love this place! Superb baking classes.....especially the sourdough. Delicious cafe and great shop!
Love this place....if baking is your thing, this is a MUST destination. And if baking is not so much, relax and enjoy the great food!!
Treats, coffee and how to cook just about everything at their flagship store
Great!
Wonderful store with all kinds of baking mixes and equipment. Had an excellent lunch at the café.
Amazing breakfast and lunch options with very friendly and patient staff!
I used to buy items from this place with no complaints but, I been buying chocolate, extracts and cake pans and they been a big disappointment. The cake pans keep sticking an burning everything I bake in them, the white chocolate I bought from them is crumbled and the extract I bought from them tast flavorless lately. I called to make a complaint and The both women said I would have to send a picture to prove something is wrong with the cake pans and I was told if I didn`t like their products to go somewhere else and buy them, I was very upset because I was a loyal customer for many years and spent thounds of dollars to this company. I think the customer service agents are very disrespectful for telling me that. Don`t waste your money here go find another place to buy flour like the customer sale agent said!
OMG best chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten. Brownie was not good. Gave me crazy heartburn. Parking was horrible. It was like looking for a parking spot at the mall before Christmas. Even though there cookies were awesome and the place is unbelievably clean the prices are totally outrageous. It was just a fun day with my kid so I didn't mind spending the cash but I wouldn't do it again.
We bought some great tasting bread and pastries. A large variety of breads and pastries are sold here. Several pleasant area to sit down and have a snack, both inside and outside. The store has a large variety of baking tools, mixes, spices and jams. There is also a very nice bathroom.
Tasty food and the kids are able to watch them make bread. Only a 4 because I've had trouble getting people to wait on me before (even when there isn't a line)
Friendly staff, great selection of everything needed for baking
Very expensive, pizza is not good! Coffee is bad, water taste strange,Pastry is good, the bread quality is getting worst, and they treat the kitchen workers very bad!!! Just like a corporation would, for an employee owned company they make the workers feel like they don’t even own themselves! Rude people. I hope in the future they can find their humanity again because they where a good business in the past.
Awesome place! Love the cafe, love the classes, love the store. -1 star for the huge (and slow moving) lines at the cafe. Parents: Step stools and stairs for the kids to see into the bakery windows. Kids table and chairs in the cafe. EV drivers: Charging station not in the main parking lot. Follow the service and deliveries sign to the further south entrance from the main road. Chargers are next to the solar array. Hikers/walkers: Little trail from the main parking lot.
King Arthur Flour is an excellent place to grab a coffee, lunch or dessert or all of them! The prices are reasonable. Get it to go or dine in and use the free reliable WiFi. The staff is wonderful. They know just how I like my mocha latte and they never question my oddities. They always have a smile on their faces and it's really great that they take the time to remember a name. Great atmosphere and they even have a shop in the same building as the bakery. Ample parking. Outside dining. Highly recommend KAF. Enjoy!
Love it! Baking heaven!
Mediocre food
Cozy atmosphere and meeting spot. They're food was sub par. Had the brisket sandwich and it tasted burnt as if it had been left in the pot way too long.
I went for the Bagels and Pizza classes. Both were excellent. Everyone has their own workspace, equipment and ingredients. After listening and watching the instructors, you go back to your workspace and re-create the recipe. Plenty of attention from the instructors. They are generous with the ingredients and information. I learnt a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. It gets booked fast and in advance so plan ahead.
When I think of the Upper Valley, I think of KAF. The space is absolutely awesome. There's always plenty of parking. It's fun to look through the windows into the baking areas, and it's equally fun to browse through the store and check out all of the kitchen gadgets and foodstuffs. Their boxes always bring baking bliss! Every item from the bakery and cafe is delicious, especially the curry chicken salad on croissant. If you're in the area and hungry for lunch or if you want to pack food out for the day, head KAF's way!
I really like this place. Store is perfect for buying baking ingredients. Everything is sort. Their coffee-store is very good, a little bit expensive but everything is delicious.
A great factory-type stop that offers delicious food and coffees, as well as classes on using King Arthur's world-class flours in myriad recipes. The bakery-cafe is an awesome spot for a quick lunch.
I get a real charge out of this place.
Love the bakery and the store. Great sandwiches, pizza and baked goods. Love the almond cloud cookies and the whoopie pies. The store has a lot of good baking supplies and a lot of mixes. Be prepared to spend a lot of money.
Great place to grab coffee, dessert, or lunch! Fantastic pastries and coffee. The bakery has a lot of seating and the staff are so friendly.
Amazing bread and sandwiches nice job!!!
Excellent local bakery.
Couldn't be happier to end up here for lunch. Food variety and quality was great! Coffee that tastes amazing without costing an arm and a leg. Also, the decor is pretty cool and there baking shop right next to the eating area is a real treat.
Don't miss the bakery, storefront and baking classes. Great food at the bakery. We had egg sandwich, porridge, hazelnut mouse, almond snowcloud and coffee. Everything was yummy. Great selections at the storefront. Unfortunately missed the window to join classes. The place smells divine. Had a little bit of information here and there on the walls. Fans of this brand should come here. Would be more fun if there was a tour style arrangement even if it were self guided.
Let's get this bread! Jokes aside, this place is fantastic! There are plenty of menu items to choose from, and each one is of superb quality. They serve breakfast/bread/desserts/lunch/and early dinner. They bake different types of bread on different days so be sure to visit a couple times to try all the bread types. There's outdoor and indoor seating for dine in. There's also a store to buy mixes and jams so that you can make the same treats at home. Overall amazing quality, service, and price!
Delicious! BLT on fresh farmhouse bread with basil mayo - wow! Just wow! Herbed Tomato soup was nice. Roll served with soup was chewy heaven. Highly recommend - worth the drive for lunch and fun shopping.
Never a bad experience here. They have such wonderful staff that are all very friendly and helpful. It's so much fun to watch their bakers in the kitchen and then enjoy the treats created by them. The store is well stocked with any mix, flavoring or sheet/pan you may ever want or need including gluten free and Paleo options. Breakfast is served from opening until 11 and then lunch 11-5 and I don't believe there's a bad choice on the menu. All of their food and soups are delicious. Plenty of parking and they even have an easy nature trail if you'd like to get out and stretch a bit. Indoor and outdoor seating is available with lots of grass surrounding it so you can also enjoy lunch on the lawn if you'd like.
Excellent coffee and pastries plus a store where you can find all the baking things you never knew you needed.
The service was so slow.
I've always used their flour. The bakery/cafe has excellent bread and pastries. The store has a wide variety of flour (of course), cocoa's, extracts, books and equipment.
This place is amazing! Yummy food, cooking classes, a great bake shop...what more could you ask for?
Amazing baked goods, great coffee, nice space
Delicious lunch of veggie pizza and a tomato herb and parmesan soup. Great coffee too and reasonable price.
I was so looking forward to this trip but who takes an hour to make sandwiches. They are very unorganized and cannot handle a busy day. It is leaf peeping season and you are in Vermont I suggest more staff more baked items and someone to monitor the bathrooms which were a mess. The food was good but it is not very handicap friendly and there is not enough indoor seating.
Love this place. Never been here until I brought some clients here.
Friendly and quick staff, delicious peach and almond pastry and a current scone. Latte and cappuccino are what they should be. Beautiful location inside and out!
Great food and fun little place to hang out. They have an extensive bakery store and also baking classes.
Incredible breads and coffee , Best cafe in small town with amazing view, lovely people and service
The quality of the bread has gone downhill. The baguette doesn’t taste like a baguette anymore, but more like a skinny sourdough loaf. And the texture isn’t right. You can get a better baguette at a grocery store bakery. The Vermont Country loaf is, quite honestly, horrible. It has a sour flavor and a Wonderbread-lie texture. If you make a grilled cheese sandwich with it you will end up with something about a quarter-inch thick. Avoid it like the plague.
Very interesting
Bakery has very good fresh bread (oatmeal was really good)
Unique experience for me. The food is delicious!
This place is a baker's dream come true!
You gotta love them.
We love KAF. We only bake with KAF. We had a lovely lunch. Our shopping experience was not the experience we hoped for. We have two children under 5 and we were micromanaged by one of the employees who thought everything our children was doing was "dangerous". When you don't know a child's abilities and are not the parent. Please refrain from telling the parents what "is best". The day could have ended much better.
A baker's paradise with a yummy cafe. For beginners they have a lot of mixes and basics and for more advanced bakers they have esoteric ingredients and tools. We bought (more than) a few items and got a bunch of great ideas...
Great lunch. Great baking shop. They definitely need more lunch seating.
A great place to shop for all kinds of mixes. And cooking tools
Good customer service, excellent sandwich.
Great food was surprised
Holiday Chocolate Almond Tree Cakes, need I say more?
Not only Great bread with opportunities to see it being made but a place to get healthy fresh home cooked food and the store...has everything you could want, even if you want gluten free! Stop in for soup, sandwich, shopping. You'll be glad you did!
Fun place to see so many different things for baking
Good food! Stopped as I was doing a cycling trip and was the best lunch I could have wished for. On a Sunday it gets quite busy - but what good place doesn’t.
Stopped in briefly to try the baked goods and browse the gift shop. The shop is pretty much what you would expect: all the baking and King Arthur accoutrements you could ever wish to see. The bakery cafe was really nice and had some outdoor seating available that was beautiful on a Saturday afternoon in September. We shared desserts and all left impressed. Great spot to stop in for a meal or just dessert, the store is optional if you ask me.
What a beautiful place! For those visiting the area, this is a great place for breakfast and lunch! I HIGHLY recommend all the breads, just have them ALL!
Always a treat to shop here, even though they sometimes run out of an ingredient or two you're looking for.
So, King Arthur is known for their great gluten-free flour but every time I go here they are either sold out of all their gluten-free baked goods or they have limited options. I drive out of my way to come here so it's a disappointment and I probably won't be back. Step it up, King Arthur.
I love the great and me unique selection of baking tools and ingredients. The restaurant and bakery is fantastic. But, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't have my BLT on sourdough bread though they had fresh sourdough loaves for sell.
Awesome gf foods and their mixes are the best
Great BLT sandwich, the best I ever had !! And very good blue cheese salad.
One of my favorite stop over for refreshment !! ☆☆☆☆☆
Welcomed by the rude staff
An amazing experience visiting the factory. Cafe offers some great sandwich, brakefast and baked goods. Gift shop is outstanding. Every imaginable baking item was available for the purchase. Some great baking cook books selection in the store. Lot of classes to learn baking skills. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend place to visit.
The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Of course the Rolls are fresh, soft and yummy. Worth the trip but be aware the cafe is always busy. The store is a bakers dream.
Yummy bakery
Awesome class! Great instructors!
Excellent. One of my favorite places ever.
Because this was on my wife's bucket list. This place made her happy. If you make the wife happy, you make me happy. Yeah, I'd go back...good cafe - fresh stuff.
Greatest bakery in the world. There cafe is an awesome place to get bread, pastries, and coffee and the store is excellent as well. Did I mention they make the best flour too? It is healthier than other flours, reasonably priced, and it gets the best results in baking.
Fabulous food and some of the most knowledgeable and helpful bakers in the world, in a gorgeous Vermont setting.
If you like to bake, you will LOVE KAF Store; if you like to eat, you will LOVE the Cafe.
The staff and food was amazing! The store had new and different baking items! We lived watching the bakers!
Came across this place by chance when on vacation. Just thought we were going to grab coffee, breakfast sandwich, and a treat. 4 hours later. The food was great, we tried many things because we weren't going to be back for a while, and everything was better than the last. There is an outdoor area to allow kids to burn off their sugar intake. The marketplace was fun to explore and the kids could watch the bakers bake for hours. Only complaint was the coffee was mediocre.
Love this place. I had one of the best lobster salads I've ever had in my life. They make other extremely tasty dishes as well as some incredible bread. Be sure to check out their shop as well!
We had a nice relaxing breakfast. Staff was very friendly.
Great concept, good food but bad design layout of the cafe that lead to long wait times.
Great food and cool gift shop. Wish there was a wider selection of sandwiches though. We hope to come back for a class someday. Also got a chance to charge my car!
Lunch in the cafe was outstanding, worth the long wait. The store was clean & well stocked with quite a variety of kitchen gadgets and mixes and accompaniments!
Great selection of baking and cooking goods!
Salmon was a little weird and bread was kinda hard But everything else WAS AMAZING! I loved all the books and Ingrediants! I also picked up pancake mix and maple cornbread mix! I would like to come back next time i go to vermont Greetings from Ohio!
Breakfast was great, price was reasonable, the gift shop is awesome, and they have baking classes there.
Great breads and baking products
Great bread, great pastries, great coffee, great people.
Great spot. Wish the breakfast sandwiches were on portugese muffins and not brioche rolls!
What better way to spend a cold winter weekend than taking a baking class at King Arthur Flour? The class was both informative and informal: I am a total novice, but was made to feel comfortable, and I felt pretty accomplished when my scones, the first baking effort in my life, came out perfect. I can assure anyone, all credit goes to the staff of this very clean, very organized facility. My wife, who is quite accomplished, was pleased to learn the art and science of her baking efforts. The staff was unfailingly cheerful and informative. The adjacent restaurant was perfect for grabbing a tasty bite before the ride home.
This Sunday afternoon, 9/22/19, I was at the store in Norwich. I had many questions about some of the gluten free mixes. The young woman who helped me (Jarusha) was the most helpful person I have ever met. She knew about the products and made many suggestions to assist with several other allergy related substitutes. She showed me where to look for products and gave cooking instructions as well. It is such a pleasure to do business with people who care and are sensitive to their customers! Love this store.
Took a trip here on a rainy Monday to see what the fuss was about. Well worth the drive! So many things in the gift shop, prices for mixes, dry ingredients, etc. Were reasonable but some cookware was a little on the expensive side (though probably worth it!). Our cashier was very friendly, the fresh bread we got was delicious. The cafe was organized chaos... not nearly enough seating but the food was great! Will definitely go back.
A beautiful space to meet & eat or just relax & enjoy the scenery. Tours & educational offerings available, as well as baked goods galore. Stop by the cafe for handmade goodies & hearty items for those cool autumn days. Breakfast is hard to beat!
I love this place. We always end up leaving with some awesome baking mixes and great coffee.
I've been coming to the Cafe since they opened, and was a fan of the store even back when it was in a tiny building before this beautiful new complex was built. This is a MUST VISIT for any baker, and the Cafe has more than enough to satisfy anyone. A few favorites: 5 Seed Sourdough is SPECTACULAR, the jalapeño cheddar spread (in the refrigerator case) makes for the best sandwiches, the egg sandwiches are hearty and filling (only til 11am! Get there early!) and the Cinnamon Rolls are TO.DIE.FOR. Those sell out by mid-morning many days, so be sure to get there early if you're really craving one. Friendly and efficient service, plus the company is employee owned, so you know they really care. Love this place! Check it out!
Fantastic cafe for lunch and along supplies. The rewards are very generous at 10% back on all purchases as well. I recommend the curry chicken and the ruby sandwich.
King Arthur Flour is a pretty fun stop for coffee and a bite. The seating area is hard to come by. Delicious lunch!
The mother ship for king Arthur Flour. Wonderful, friendly, awesome. !
Great place to get a bite, a cup of coffee or tea and a pastry to go. If you are planning to do some work that requires you have high-speed WiFi, then it is NOT the place to be.
All kinds of baking items. Great food.
I ordered an 8 piece birthday cake. But when I pick it up, I got an 4 piece cake. So they checked my order and it said it was 8 piece cake. They said since the bakers were gone, they couldn't do anything. So I had to take that small cake. It ended up I had to go to another store to buy another one. Also while I was waiting for them to find my cake, I saw a flyer was flying around and landed on the uncovered cookies. It seemed nobody cares. It was a bad experience for me!
Our favorite place to visit in Vermont! Great food and cozy environment!
Just a bakery Wonderland. Just took a pizza making course there and it exceeded all my expectations. A delightful experience. I learned a lot!
Went there for a 4 day bread baking class. It was beyond our expectations in every dimension: Friendliness & helpfulness of the staff, quality of the food, instruction, facilities - all awesome!! Highly recommend stopping in and experiencing some culinary enjoyment for the mind AND body!
Yum yum....stocking up on specialty stores
I had the best roast beef sandwich ever while visiting here.
Great food, but the Wi-Fi is mediocre, and the at&t cell coverage is worse. You can't really work here. Though they don't want you to either, the stools and chairs are only good for an hour at most.
The store itself is very nice, but the food in the cafe never fails to disappoint.
The markup on kitchen gadgets and tools is fairly high, but its a good place to get some of their harder to find flours. Lots of gluten free flours and box mixes.
This place is a foodie icon! Great food in the Cafe, very pleasant enviroment. A great group of some of the finest bakers on the east coast. The store is amazing and carries fine baking implements and supplies. When you're in the area, you must visit!
Great classes, beautiful surroundings, great people..love it here...
Great place. good food
I've been here several times while visiting dear friends in the area and King Arthur never disappoints! I've never had a bad meal here, whether it's breakfast or lunch. Fresh ingredients are always used, which is obvious when you take your first bite. Their coffee is amazing and the bread is even better. Please make time to visit the store if you're here to eat or vice versa. To me, they go hand-in-hand!
Best scene mix I've ever had!
This place is so great. It can be a total madhouse on the weekends, but totally worth the seating free for all if you ask me. The food is delicious, the baked goods always so fresh, and a very cool store to visit while you're waiting for your food!
This is a lovely, clean space with a restaurant and shop. They sell everything to do with baking from appliances to books. It was busy and a lot of people were there but it wasn’t crowded as it is very large. The food was delicious, and the coffee was first class. There are a great many samples available in the store.
Wonderful store and people. A bakers dream. 50Lb bag of Flour only $30
I'm pretty sure this is what heaven smells like. As soon as you walk in the door, it hits you: the scent of fresh baked bread. The environment is rustic, but the building is modern on the sly. There are always families with kids here, students and professionals working on their laptops (WiFi is free and pretty reliable, if a bit on the slow side) and people meeting up for business or pleasure. There are cold sandwiches or tubs of soup if you'd like to grab and go, or get something made for a snack or a meal and enjoy the space. Honestly, you need to get the bread and jam for breakfast sometime. There's nothing more beautifully local in every way.
Fresh bread, crisp salad, delicious soup and friendly staff. My meals have always been lovely at KAF.
Amazing and unique lunch with plenty of vegetarian options. I've been here several times and it's become my favorite place to eat. Everything is so fresh and the staff seems very happy to work there.
I love the food at King Arthur. Their sandwiches are amazing with bread that's made that day, the pastries are incredible, and their Chai Lattes are my favorite. It can be a little pricey and a little crowded if you go right at lunch time, but its worth the price and the wait because the food is so good. They also have baking classes and an entire bakery store at this location.
Serious about baked goods.
Chocolate croissants are delicious! Has indoor and outdoor seating and picnic tables. Classes are also available through their baking school. Shop sells nice kitchen tools!
I live kind of far away but come once a year. Such a great place to be inspired, eat delicious food, and get great tools to take home and make all my favorite recipes. Their store is in a beautiful campus and they have a rewards program as well.
Good, fresh food but nothing special. The mocha latte was delicious.
