They used to be perfect in every way when the original owner and Amy, the next owner ran it and they both offered original, good-sized for your money and great-tasting pastries than just about anywhere but with the new owner the all-around food and service don't even come close. Prices are higher, you get much smaller sizes and they changed the original recipes. I haven't been there for a long time and don't plan on going back either. Very dissatisfied.

Tried three different bars from this bakery, loved the Cherry pie bar, the texture combination was perfect for the s'mores bar, and the lemon bar was simply perfect. We came too late in the day to try their donuts but will definitely be returning at an earlier time to get a chance for the cake donuts!!

Picked up a box of random deliciousness from this place, have not found anything less than super yummy. Textures are perfect, flavors are right on point, sweet items are not overly sweet, and the savory items are a great counterpoint. Additionally, the people at the shop were all very personable and happy to tell me about their items. No hint of smug hipster, but all the benefits of a well crafted product.

Have been going here for years. Unique offerings and sound baking techniques are the hallmark of this quaint little bakery near Cathedral on 40th Street. Best pop-tarts in the region. Most offerings are well above average. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

SO good! Everything we tried was amazing and it's an adorable little place. This was our first time in and it just so happens to be my birthday. Little did they know, our trip in was setting the tone for the entire birthday-day but they faced the unknown pressure like true champs. I'm now caffeinated, full of sweet (and savory) pastries, and ready to face a day at the office... over an hour late.... because we loved Sweet Magnolias that much.

Great little neighborhood bakery with some interesting creations. The cardamom knot had a really great flavor, and the cinnamon roll is fairly traditional but well done. Fast, friendly service on top of it all.

Well priced bakery offering an assortment of goodies. There was a very high number of bars (lemon, bourbon pecan, etc) so good selection there. Their scones were good. The oatmeal cookie looked great but my partner got to it before I could try it. My gf adores their pecan bars. Parking is availableb for free on the street.

What a cute little pastry shop in the heart of the city. Its a tiny little shop but it has such a home like feel and is so warm and welcoming. they really have up to date technology. They have many different flavors of brownies and cakes and pies. they are to die for! the staff is so nice and they facility is so clean and well kept. I highly recommend for all treats and goodies. a great little pick me up!

The best bakery in Omaha, without question. I'm spoiled because I live in the neighborhood but be assured I've converted many from far off areas to Sweet Magnolias. The brownies absolute best I've ever had. Scones, cupcakes and amazing bars (Key Lime, Almond Joy, Toffee to name just a few). But the absolute incomparable item is their holiday decorated sugar cookies. Seriously works of art. And they make them for many Holidays throughout the year. Local, woman owned business is just the icing on the cake. Pun intended. The cakes are delish too!

The owners responded to my catering inquiry very quickly, and went above and beyond to accommodate my request on short notice. I don’t like to leave things to the last minute, but plans can change. Sweet Magnolia’s saved us, and everyone raved about the delicious assortment of cookies and bars. Honestly, the best bakery items I have ever had, in Omaha and outside of it. Will definitely be a happy, returning customer.

Sweet Magnolias is one of my favorite places in Omaha. They made my daughter's first birthday cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious. The donuts and scones are spot on amazing. It's a drive to get there from my home, but the 25 minutes is worth the delicious treats and great customer service.

This place is a small piece of heaven. The owners are friendly and dedicated. The food is impeccable. My favorites are the weekend savory scones, the pecan rolls, chocolate chip cookie dough sandwich, and their fruit scones. One time they had a banana, walnut, chocolate chip scone that stole my heart. <3 GO HERE! and go as often as you can!

I am in town from Huntsville, Alabama for the birth of my 1st grandchild! My daughter requested treats from here while in the hospital and I have returned again because they are all so good. I will visit at least a third time while in town and every 5 or 6 weeks to come. It is now a tradition as long as the "kids" are in grad school at Creighton. (PS- Grandma's fav are the lemon bars and Granpa's are the double filled choc chips). Enjoy!

Absolutely hands down one of the best bakeries in Omaha. If you're looking 4 delicious home baked goods, this is the place for you. Sometimes I think it's hard to find pastries, cakes, pies, cupcakes cookies and bars that taste like something you making your own kitchen. I've given up on buying cakes or pies from grocery store bakeries. Sweet Magnolias has phenomenal bars with real ingredients including butter. The desserts taste like something my grandmother used to make. At work, when we need a dessert bar, this is where we go. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Wow! Sweet Magnolias not only makes the BEST sweets, they also have the nicest owners/employees! I had tried GF/Vegan Pumpkin Bars from a nearby coffee shop and thought they were the best I've ever had. I went in to buy some from Sweet Magnolias directly. So excited, I forgot to mention I came in for the GF/Vegan bars. I posted about them after I purchased and the shop messaged me and said "oh no! Those are the regular ones!" They asked me to come back and they already had a box ready for me. I had given away one bar already and taken a bite out of another one, but they didn't care and gave me a whole new box. I could not believe their generosity and was so thankful they caught my mistake prior to my allergic reactions kicking in! Sweet Magnolias gained a life long loyal customer because of it! Thank you, Sweet Magnolias!

This place had a lot of hype from two friends. I went and it sure a heck lived up to it. Everything was soft and gooey when it needed to be, moist and fluffy when it calls for it, and most importantly mouthwateringly delectable. Our sample included an Oatmeal, possibly Scotchie, soft cookie sandwich with homemade icing between each soft and chewy cookies; an off the charts S’mores Bar with what appeared and tasted like heavenly melted marshmallows over fudge and gram cracker goodness in the topping and base; Raspberry Coffee Cake with crumbles of joy sit atop moist cake filled with fruit flavor; and last but not least a pretty large proper Scone with a good amount of fruit and tasty dough. Well done. We will be back for sure for your handmade treats.
