Very, very disappointing! First, there were flies in the showcase. Second, the employees in the front didn't even know the price of anything and third, I ordered a cake for a very special occasion but what i got was a very dry, ugly, simple cake. It didn't have any of the colors i asked for, and the only color it did have was so ugly no one wanted to eat it. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!

Excellent choices on donuts and other sweets. Beverage chlices are good as well. Big fan of their large size of their bearclaws/honeybuns/fritters. Biggest knockbackback to me was their danishes (apple/blueberry/cherry flavored) are usually quite dry. However this could be just my own taste buds being wonky. Despite all this the gering bakery does not carry nutritional information on any of its products as it is "too costly to send them in to find out" so calorie counters beware.

I got a cake and cupcakes for a reception. They were decorated beautifully. My complaint is that I ordered them with filing. I could not see or taste the filing in the cake at all! The cupcakes seemed to only have a teaspoon of filling. If I am paying for filing then I want to be able to appreciate it!! The cake tasted fine but I was sorely disappointed. I wanted it to be something special for a special day.

Visited The valley 2 weeks ago, it had been 4 months since I had a cabbage burger Got 4 to go. WHERE IS THE FILLING. A bunch of stinking dough. Very disapounted

Stopped by to try a cabbage burger for the first time. This was one of the worst decisions I've made in my life. It was so bland, if I would have been blindfolded, I wouldn't have been able to tell what I was eating. Very disappointed.

One or two things we were either overcharged or the product is overpriced, we got a bear claw, pecan roll, two long johns, glazed donut, bagel bite, cinnamon roll and a raisin cookie, paid 25 dollars and some change,, ?? Doesn't add up plus didn't get a receipt , straifht up tossed in in garbage ,CROOKS . never going back my business will go to dunkin donuts when I'm out of town from now on.

This place set a standard for me that I judge all other bakeries at!! Most never meet the same taste or atmosphere as this wonderful place!! Whenever we are back in town (which is never often enough) we always make a stop!

WOW ! If you want a fantastic choice of donuts, this is the place ! At least a couple dozen to pick from...and every one I picked was a winner. We even bought some grain bread with raisans and cranberries that was delicious. I came late on a Saturday for the second day and, even though there stock was hugely diminished, the twists and cinnamon cake donuts were quickly devoured.

I love this bakery! I worked here from 1988 to 1993 with my family. My family is still running it to today; my dad, Ron Ahlers; brother, Chris Ahlers; and his wife Jenn Ahlers. There isn't many made fresh scratch bakeries left. It's a full line bakery and they can make anything, if you don't see it ask them. My favorites are the chocolate long johns and the cabbage burgers.

If you're looking for a place to grab some sweet treats in the Gering area, look no further. One of the Mainstays of Gering Nebraska. This bakery is incredible with authentic bakery goods like made from scratch donuts, cookies, rolls, turnovers, cakes and tons more. The prices are fantastic for what you get which makes the value of your $ really good here. The staff is super fast & friendly so you'll be in & out with awesome eats in no time. I highly recommend this spot if you're visiting from out of town as it's a fantastic representation of the way things used to be made. This is the bakery that time forgot in the best possible way. We grew up here & moved away but whenever we're back it's a must-stop for us. You won't regret it!

Stopped in for coffee and donuts. Delicious donuts I tell ya. This place had been around "forever" and it never disappoints. We come in from CO a couple times a year and it's a must in the morning.
