We celebrated our 5th anniversary combined with an early Christmas party last night at the Uptown. It was fabulous! All 35 of us were treated like royalty. Every meal of the four-course dinner was amazing. You all took such great care of us. Everyone raved about both the service and the food. Great job! Highlands Veterinary Hospital cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful experience.

Not very welcoming. Such a shame. We plotted this on the map, called ahead because we were driving through. We expected so much from the reviews and we were so excited to eat here but the hard, cold, rude atmosphere almost ruined our evening. What saved our evening was having the sense to leave, canceling our dessert and finding dessert somewhere else. We came expecting the best and we were handed the worst. We were greatly disappointed. Never, ever, ever again.

Uptown Café is a hidden jewel in Butte, Montana. Chef Guy Graham is a class act with his culinary skills. Service, is impeccable. I and my team were treated with a perfect blend of spice and deliciousness of Shrimp and Chicken Vindaloo, an Indian spicy dish. I never thought this was possible to get in Butte. Highly recommend Uptown Café.

This is our go to spot for special dinners. If family is in town, anniversary, or other meaningful event is happening this is our spot. I usually get the duck with huckleberry sauce (love it). We were pleasantly surprised once we entered the establishment. The inside is much more attractive than the outside might suggest. We did not have reservations but within five minutes a very friendly host found a table for us. We were quite surprised as it was obviously very busy. But I would recommend calling for reservations. We had a very motivated pleasant young lady as our server, she was busy but took very good care of us. We had been given a voucher for a free glass of wine from our hotel, “The minors boutique hotel“ also highly recommended, the wine was delicious and we can hardly believe that the first two glasses were on the house. We then made selections from the four course menu, that’s right, a four course menu. Everything was absolutely delicious! With each course, we became even more impressed. We usually don’t stick around for dessert and coffee, but everything was so good including the atmosphere we decided to get the pecsn ball and cheesecake. Again, wow! We highly recommend this place, for the price it’s probably some of the best eats we’ve ever had. Siri said that this place was somewhat expensive, on the contrary we found to be very underpriced. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, and we hope to return soon! Great job uptown Café!

Good yet slightly expensive food. We often go here just to get dessert and coffee. Both of which are quite good. They are currently expanding into the next building, so it will be interesting to see how that turns out. For the price, I would expect them to pay a little more attention to detail. If you are going to do a formal dining setting, make sure to wipe the water marks off your silverware. Also, dust your lattice work and picture frames. Small details often make all the difference!

Amazing food, service, and interior! Started with Hungarian Cream of Mushroom soup with dill...exceptional, House Clams... anyone would love these, and a spring salad with strawberries topped with strawberry vinegar. The main course was a delicious, tender, chicken with artichokes with dried tomatoes.Hubby had Beef Wellington which was also incredible. Desert was the best and biggest Creme Brulee we have ever had. As if that was not enough...our server...a lovely helpful, cheerful young lady (Kylee? Kelsee?...)who is studying nursing was THE BEST!!

Had a wonderful meal at Uptown Cafe in Butte. The staff gladly accommodated us despite the late arrival and were very friendly and warm. While the service and meals were very good the highlight for me was a caprese salad prepared with fresh heirloom tomatoes from the owner's own green house. If you are in the mood for good service and thoughtful, well-prepared meals in the heart of Butte this is an excellent option.

Moderately priced fine dining establishment. I had the Cajun prime rib and my wife had the quail special. Both dishes were served as a four-course meal with each course coming out at a reasonable pace. Both meals were fantastic. The restaurant itself is on the small side and feels a little cramped when busy. Definitely call ahead for reservations.

Uptown Cafe is our favorite restaurant in Butte. Call ahead for reservations, recommended to insure you have a table. They accept walk-ins, but it's usually full and you'll have to wait - but so worth it. Uptown dinner comes with several courses: soup, salad, signature clam appetizer, bread and entree. Great wine selection and outstanding desserts. Early Bird special dinner if you're seated before 6pm. Incredible menu offers a great variety - something special for everyone. Classic fine dining decor with white table cloths featuring rotating artwork by local artists. Service is outstanding. Best restaurant in Butte!

Uptown Cafe serves delicious food and in style. I liked the Beef Wellington and Coquilles St. Jacques. Usually the sides are unusual. Squash casserole and beet dishes, for example. Priced accordingly. We dine there almost every time we stay near Butte.

Nice staff, but I was not particularly happy about the selection of food, I was looking for more of a dinner instead of a cafeteria style serving of food that was not particularly hot or very good. Too expensive for what is served. It is very dark with only a little bit of Windows in front.

I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant with exceptional service !!! Very few restaurants are so accomodating when you ask to split a meal. I go here for several special occasions each year and I always enjoy it. I always get an extra order of Clams Maison and, though I've had and enjoyed everything on the menu, I always order the Beef Wellington because I need it. I don't go here the day of Valentine's because they've botched that day too many times, so beware on national night out dinner days. Dinner items can be pricey, but I have never regretted getting the bill; lunch is more than reasonable. Service is usually prompt and always courteous. Nice clean and relaxing atmosphere. Would get 5 stars, but, while fantastic, I have to consider restaurant chains like Ruth's Chris and top one-offs like Spinasse in Seattle, which are true 5 star establishments, but there isn't anything better in Butte.

Not entirely impressed with the selection of food and my meal was something I could expect at a cafeteria. I was waited on by 6 different employees, a couple were obviously training and I heard everything they were training on and I was stressing like it was my first day on the job. I was asked by server number three if I wanted any dessert or coffee but by the time it got to the third I was over it. I believe I may have had an off experience as it seemed fairly busy on a Wednesday early evening.

I often go to the Uptown Cafe to get a bowl of soup and a roll for lunch. In my opinion their soups are consistently the best in town, and I always have the option to try something new or get an old favorite. While the restaurant feels upscale the lunch prices are quite reasonable for working professionals. Tip: Grab the 2-month lunch menu to know what soups and specialties are coming up.

Best restaurant in Butte, especially for their seafood dishes, which can be hard to find this far inland. I recommend the Coquille Saint Jacque. Pretty cool atmosphere as well, with chill music and art work that's on rotation.
