In love love LOOOOOOVE with their cheesecake!! Literally the best I've ever had, and huge quantities. I shared a piece with 2 other people and there was enough for all of us. The coffee... O-so-uuhhhmaaaazing!! I've had lattes here more than 5 times now and ALL of them have been perfect, consistent, and delicious!

Super cute, unassuming place with TONS of gluten free / vegetarian options. You can order off their large menu, or create your own sandwich. They have daily social and they also have lots of pastries / desserts (both gluten free and regular). Good coffee, too!

Excellent service along with great cakes and pies. The folks at River Rising helped us surprise our son on his birthday by delivering a great cake and pie. Being a long way from Hamilton, it was great to be able to trust they would remember and actually deliver. All done in a very friendly and professional way. They made it easy and delicious. As our son put it - "ate myself into a great cake and pie fog". Can't ask for more than that. Thanks River Rising!

This place has the BEST coffee in Montana! It is served with a sunny smile from a charming young Kentucky girl. How great is that? Gourmet sandwiches that are reasonably priced, but not pretentious. And, where else will you find White chocolate raspberry bread pudding?

Great coffee house and bakery in downtown Hamilton. A local favorite among residents. They also serve wonderful lunch sandwiches and even breakfast biscuits and gravy on Saturdays. The staff is always positive, energetic and helpful.

I really liked the deserts like the cheesecake and cookies. Sandwiches are good, not great or memorable enough to write home about. Service was prompt and kind. The inside temp seemed a little too warm for my comfort, I felt like a loaf of bread inside.

I will never go back to this coffee shop. I was told if I did not like it to leave. Here's the scoop: I ordered a sandwich (first one on the menu.) I forgot to ask if they could leave off the potato chips and substitute a few carrots or some kind of greens. (I can not digest any kind of chips etc, I had just eaten there a few days earlier. I ask the waitress if she could substitute something for the chips? She didn't say anything in response but later came back with 4 small baby carrots. I was happy with that. However when I got my bill she has charged me for the 4 carrots. She did not disclose to me she would charge for a substitute. The second time I went back I ask the "girl" who was making sandwich's (because my waitress was busy and they had a line) could she substitute the chips for a few carrots. She looked at me like I was nuts, I repeated the request. She said :NO" I repeated the request again and this time I requested, can you substitute anything for the chips? NO! she replied. I said, I can not digest the chips and why don't you have something you can substitute for a .10 cent bag of chips? She said, it will cost you. I said no and as I am walking through the restaurant to my table this man who works at the coffee shop screamed at me as he was walking towards me from the rear, "if you don't like it , leave." I requested my refund. He said I will not refund the coke because opened it. I said I did not expect this kind of service an attitude or I would never have came here. I have not drank from the coke. He threatened calling the police on me because I wanted my full refund. I took sandwich money and left. I wonder who the owner is and how they think they can run a coffee shop and treat people in this manner? Also the person who screamed at me in a public place should be fired. This is not the first time I have seen ugliness in this coffee shop. I thought I would give them another chance to redeem themselves. Watch the waitress/waiters who fix your drinks and handle your drinks without gloves and run the register and count money without washing their hands. It is a disgusting place to eat. Better places in town. Try the TASTE OF PARIS across from the Post Office. I reported the other happening to the owner but this time she deserves what she gets. NO RETURN CUSTOMER. That is disaster in Hamilton. Thanks for reading and every word of this is true. RDMC

By all of the comments I can tell this is a hit or miss and the employees don't seem to care about the feelings of the customers. The owner of the bakery doesn't even reply to comments so you can tell they clearly don't appreciate their local customers.

The work area is very filthy. Not just messy from current orders, the cutting board has deep stains that are bacteria growth. The health department should come visit. Niki the owner also wore a filthy apron. Not just a little dirty, and then wipes her hands on it while making food. They forgot part of our order so I called Nicki and she decided to be unprofessional. Her attitude was unnecessary. Good customer service would have been "Im so sorry we did that, I would love to make it up to you and buy you lunch" NOT "mistakes happen, why are you calling my phone, this conversation is taking 4 minutes and that is 4 minutes too long" and then proceeded to lie to employees about me and the story that happened. And went crying to my boss which had nothing to do with it. Its a cup of soup lady. Get a grip. Take your aggression out on cleaning your kitchen, not on customers.The work area is very filthy. Good coffee and service, it's got a very young and casual feel, i do believe staff wear should be improved, some wore clothing that looked too relaxed that they came across more as dirty rags or sleepwear, which when you pick up your order and sit down to take in your environment, it doesn't appeal and makes the place feel off somehow. Desserts make up for it though, sooo good, and healthy options are available too!
