I had the truffle brownie, and it was divine. The service was not great though - girl walked away while I was mid-order without a word, then came back and gave some brief mumbled apology and took my order. I’d still go back for the baked goods though. Yum!

Had to sample the Hawaiian stromboli made with bread dough the color of black licorice but not flavored that way. It is apparently activated charcoal which is added to the dough to color it...sorry no pictures as it is already in my tummy.

I give up. This time we waited 10 minutes while customers that came behind us got their coffees before us. We also ordered an almond croissant and a pretzel. When we paid the server said, "I only have half an almond croissant, is that OK?" We said yes, expecting to be charged half price for that item. We finally got our mocha and it tasted like hot chocolate. After we left we realized we had been charged full price for the half almond croissant.

Wow! Definitely stop by. Everything is tasty and made in house. The chocolate crossiant was flaky, buttery and a perfect level of sweetness. The front staff are very friendly. I caught a glimpse of the back of house and its very clean.

The servers are so friendly! When I ordered a croissant, the server pulled one from the tray, then actually put it back and pulled out the biggest one without my even saying anything. The place feels calming and a great place to start your day! They also make pasta!!

I have tried this place a couple times and every time I swear to myself I won't go back. This time it is for good. My mocha had no espresso in it or their espresso is watered down, overpriced pastries , and my coffee always comes out after the people who ordered after me. When I asked barrista where my coffee was she gave me attitude as she was attempting to make 4 orders at the same time and said they would all come out at once. What?? I waited for 8 minutes for a coffee. Their cakes are good but their pastries are common and overpriced. I am done going here.

The Aroma of a World Class Bakery as you park your car. Inside of one of Helena Montanas main street historical buildings is a beautiful bakery. Beautiful displays of pastries, breads etc. Oh the Coffee, my stars the Coffee combined with a fresh pastry from the oven while sitting in the dinning room with a view of historic downtown is all part of what makes Park Avenue Bakery such a wonderful place. The staff are awesome and greet you like family. The owners Support our local Veterans by donating free pastries and rolls of fresh breads to Montana Veterans Foundation also known as Cruse House. They also support other local Charity organizations with the same in-kind bakery products, For Free. They care about their clientele and their hometown community. Please visit and enjoy the fresh bakery goods and Coffee and ambiance! It truly is one of Montana's special, special Places. It is on Park Avenue almost across the Street from Helena's beautiful public library. The nose knows so ,Follow your nose to Park Avenue Bakery. I promise, I give you my word of Honor that you will be very glad you did.

One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Helena. Love their pizza! They have some interesting combinations like chicken pesto. Never had a bad one yet. Large slices. Also the bakery selection is fairly large. Also, they sell several varietys of bread. Parking may be difficult during peak times.

Delicious baked goods and coffee. Love the ham and cheese croissant and lattes! Minimal seating but cozy. Staff is awesome and decor is nice. Overall very nice and a great place to eat breakfast.

Worst coffee I've ever had. My husband and I came in for 2 Americanos, literally espresso and water. In this case it was 90% water. I've worked as a barista, it's the easiest espresso beverage you can make so I'm not sure how this ended up so bad. Definitely not coming back for coffee.
