Paul's Pastry Shop in Picayune made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake for my husband and I! The cookies were also perfect! Not a crumb of either the cake or the cookies were left over, and we cannot wait to order our anniversary cake with them. Kimberly, the cake lady, was so helpful and awesome to deal with. Bakery is delicious and wide range of baked goods. Specializes in king cakes with all types of king cakes available. Have all types of decorated cakes for all occasions. They have lunches that are fair some aren't that good. Reuben sandwich wasn't too good. No thousand island dressing on sandwich. Fried green tomatoes with lump crabmeat were good.

Such a quaint place! So many tasty treats to buy and the cafe is delicious. I made sure to get their half sandwich that came with a soup and sweet treat! The tomato basil soup is extremely good. Look forward to many more visits here.

Used to love Paul's now I'll never eat their bland tasteless far from a king cake more like eating a dry roll covered in sugar and barely filled with cream cheese and strawberries and even that was nasty tasting yucky... Excellent place! Their King Cakes are the BEST in the world! They ship them literally all over the world too. Very friendly atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend this place. I have been eating King Cakes from Paul's Pastry for 30 years. The only place I will buy them. I moved 8 hours away and I still get my King Cakes from them. They have such a demand for their King Cakes that they now make them year-round for every occasion.

Only reason this place is getting two star is because they were able to make the cake quick and it tasted good and looked exactly how I wanted. I asked for a gender reveal cake and my friend gave them the gender. Well the time to cut into the cake and the inside of the cake did not reveal the gender as it should have... my friend contacted them right away and was told the manager would call straight away. She never called. Finally, my friend spoke to someone about the cake the following week, but got nowhere. They finally decided to call me and had the audacity to blame my friend for the mishap saying they didnt understand how the cake was supposed to be. What a joke. I sent the picture of exactly how I wanted the cake to look, all they had to do was put the color of the gender in the cake. Not hard to do. All I can say is, I wasnt mad until they chose to blame my friend for their mistake. It says a lot about a company when they do that. I will not be using their services again even though they did give me store credit. I do not recommend them if you're relying on them to pull through on simple suprises.

Great food! Decent service. This place made my wedding cake. They set us up with a tasting tray to take home to my grandmother and the cake itself was amazing. They also made a personalized grooms cake that was themed. The store itself has a small restaurant on the side of the pastry shop, and the food there is great too! Definitely worth the stop of you are in the area!

Around 1:00 pm, my mother and I purchased a sugar free pecan cake from your store. We brought it home, and one slice was cut out of it. The cake itself, was fine. The icing, however, tasted like rancid oil. I then called on the phone, and spoke with a girl, telling her that the icing was disgusting, and she told me to bring the cake back and while we couldn't get a refund, we could get credit for the full price of the cake. My boyfriend brought the cake back, in the Paul's Pastry Box. He was greeted by an older man who then told him that they had no return policies but gave him three petite fours, a dollar fifty each, in return. The cake was fifteen dollars. Walmart has a better return policy on their food. Edit: They contacted me and offered not only an apology but full credit for the cake. Added two stars for that.

Paul's Pastry Shop is a "food you need in your life" place to stop. They have a micro deli to the side but their main attraction is the beautiful cakes and desserts they offer daily. If you have a food bucket list, you definitely need to stop at this destination. The king cakes are delicious and can be ordered specifically in advance. Give this location a shot and you will be back for more.

Came here for breakfast for the first time and had the nastiest food.. ordered a bacon croissant and the sausage gravy sandwich. The bacon on the croissant was so hard it couldn't even hardly be chewed my daughter actually had choked on it. The croissant itself had an awful taste to it and was burnt. They still served it to me though and I know for a fact they knew it was burnt..how would you not know... The sausage gravy and biscuit was also very nasty. It had a very funky taste to it like it had been heated multiple times or something. I had went up the the counter 2 times 1 to take the bacon sandwich back and the other time to ask for something else to eat. Waited for like 8 minutes each time (no one was there except me, my daughter, and my mom) while there was a girl walking around behind the counter down from me, but didnt want to help. The staff was definitely not friendly at all and they were unprofessional. The wanted to just stand around and gossip, instead of finding something to do like make better food or make sure your customers have what they want or if they are satisfied. Overall I would have gave them 0 stars, but I had to stick with the 1. Will most likely not be going back and I do not reccomend them...

Recently, a single mother that I know that had worked at Paul's Pastry for many years decided she needed to resign to get a better paying job. (Again, single mother of 3 children that attends church every Sunday) After years of working here she was still only being compensated $10.00 per hour even though she was an excellent cake decorator!! She took a job at a local grocery store nearly 20 miles away. After the business owners found out, they contacted her and her employer to inform them that they were planning on suing her because of a contract she'd signed. Is Jubilee in Pearl River LA really a financial threat to Paul's Pastry?? The Family that owns Paul's Pastry is very well off. They live in very nice homes. Drive very nice cars. Go on nice vacations. Yet they will deny this girl an opportunity to make a better living. This is nothing more than SELFISH behavior and almost spiteful. I will never purchase anything from this business again and I hope after reading this you decide to go elsewhere too.

The cupcakes weren't good at all... The flower on top of the cupcakes were extremely hard, noone could eat it.. they were cute but I was not in awe.. I asked for a cupcake with a Specific design and flavor .. I go pick up the cake and cupcakes and they just did what they wanted to do.. The whole cake was to be pink with rosettes flowers on the sides with a plain pink top , they put a white top... The cupcakes was supposed to be a different design, they gave me a simple swirl with a flower on top.. (I could've went to Walmart for the design & taste) I asked for buttercream frosting, they put whipped.. it was so simple and they couldn't follow simple directions.. they make decisions for you with out consulting with you first to see if it was ok.. They went downhills since hurricane Katrina hit.. I remember they used to be so good... What happened? I will not be back.. if I were you I'd take my business elsewhere..don't risk it!!!

I can't speak for their other products, but the king cake is pretty bad. It walked a fine line between raw and under cooked. Basically eating raw dough. I am not professional baker, but I know how to cook a pastry until it is golden brown and cooked through.

Yum. That's all I can say. Y-U-M! If you haven't tried the cupcakes from Paul's, you're missing out! I came in and got a dozen last weekend because we had family in from out of town. I do wish all the cupcakes had been together. I didn't see the filled ones until it was already too late, and those would have been better than emoji or rainbow cupcakes for an adult get-together. And we always get our King Cake from Paul's as well! The blueberry cream cheese filling is AMAZING!

I feel like a little kid walking into a candy store whenever I visit Paul's Pastry. They have a huge variety of cakes, cookies, pies, and their famous king cakes. Everything is baked on site, and you can taste the superior quality of their ingredients in every delicious bite! I am blown away by their theme birthday cakes. The bakers are true artists! The employees are all super kind too. Definitely worth a visit.

My grandfather always use to tell my mother to visit this place, and it took her a while. Now, my mother is telling me to go and I finally went. WOW, was I happy I went. If you order in-store for delivery, be certain to get a copy of what you ordered and confirm the delivery date. We ordered in-store on Nov 14 for a Wed., Nov 28 delivery in another state. It was for a surprise for our family we would be visiting. We did not receive a printout of our order. But I know for certain that the date to deliver was Wednesday, November 28. I did speak with the shop twice earlier this week about getting the tracking number, discussing the delivery date, and left a phone message prior to speaking to the shop with the delivery date. After not receiving my tracking number yesterday, I called this morning to find out the tracking number, only to find out the cake will deliver a day late. What a disappointment as we have to leave in the morning and will miss sharing this with our Montana family. My suggestion for improvement at the bakery - 1. Provide customer a printed order information. At the time of the order and require signature. 2. Follow-up with email of order same as any online order. If neither of these steps can be implemented, then all delivery orders need to be made online, no exceptions. Any of these steps would have avoided the mishap with our order. I was actually in tears when I found out that we wouldn’t have the cake for this evening. It’s been 20+ years since we’ve all been together. There is no getting this moment back. We’ve always had good service thru Paul’s, but today I’m at a loss. There seemed to be little concern for the error this afternoon.

One of the best pastry places in the area... small and cosy shop with great sweets and snacks... such a huge variety of sweets, pies and cakes... everything was amazing there... They can be a little pricey but it's good.. staff are super friendly and they took care of us... I recommend it 100%. Update a dozen donuts will cost you about $12.00 or you can opt for the day old one for $6.00.

If they had more than one person that could take a cake order it would be great.but you wait and wait till someone makes their mind up on what they want.after 45 min alittle too long.i ask the cashier whom was not busy is the lady helping the customer the only one that could take a cake order she said yes.after another 15 min goes by the the lady helping with cake order tells her to come help. Other than that they are always nice.

Wednesdays are bacon wrapped filet day, it’s a great deal and you should go. Filets are cooked on point and yet somehow delivered quickly, veggies are a good side but the potatoes are even better. While you’re there check out their various pastries as well, everything is delicious, even the worlds second best pickles.

If you want a non-decorated king cake (which you decorate yourself) and not pay $70 for it, it's best to load up and make a mini road trip. Shipping is high but for convenience it's totally worth it. So despite all of that this was definitely the best king cake I have ever had and I will be back to purchase another.

Everyone who works here is wonderful. Every time. I have never had a bad customer experience with the staff. I am a huge fan of the butter crunches and king cakes. No, they don't taste like Randazzo king cakes. I prefer Paul's king cakes actually. They do beautiful cake work. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't like the TASTE of the cakes. I've had better tasting cakes from Walmart. My Mom is a professional Baker with Harrah's casino so maybe I am spoiled when it comes to good tasting cake.
