I love this place. I've been a few times and the food and beverage options are great. Good atmosphere. Good people. Why three stars? The hours. The hours don't make sense for a community like Seward. Staying open later would be heavenly. I myself would go there after I'm off work at 5 to have tea and do schoolwork on my computer. Please extend your hours.

Everything I have ordered has been terrific. Great quality and some creative flavors (like pumpkin brioche au chocolat). The coffee and espresso drinks are also delicious, which I've found to be no certain thing for a great bakery. Some outdoor seating too!

We have gone to this cafe many times. Lately the service and food has really gone down hill. My poached eggs were essentially hard boiled and our food was cold and overdone after waiting over a half hour for it. This was a very underwhelming breakfast. With so many other fantastic choices I don't think we will frequent Mon Petit Cheri in the future.

Charming decor with soundtrack by The Current, I thoroughly enjoyed a slice of the delightful banana chocolate chip bread while waiting on my sandwich. The hearty ham and brie with side of lightly dressed greens was beautiful and it tasted as good as it looked. If I were a "pictures of my food" guy, it woulda been suitable for taking a picture. Glad I finally made it in to try this place. Can't wait to try a slice of the flourless chocolate cake later!

Wish I could give zero Stars.. Walked in and sat down.. wasn't very busy.. Employees walked by us several time with zero acknowledgment.. After 10 minutes and no help, not even a welcome, a hello, NOTHING we got up and walked out.. What a complete joke... Headed down the street to Main Cafe and received the best service and quality food..

This place is adorable, with really good food. The pastries look amazing, and the coffee is top notch. They are vegetarian friendly, but if you're vegan the options are very limited. The friendly staff is super helpful about making adjustments where they can. Even though I think of this as a breakfast place, something about being surrounded by pastries and wine makes me want a glass of wine with my veggie hash.

Love this place. Two blocks from our house. The food is great. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best in town. The baked goods are also amazing. The bars are good but sometimes too sweet, I also wish they put a bit more effort in to a patio area. Do yourself a favor and stop by for breakfast!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Food and sweets are amazing and they serve Dogowood coffee, the best coffee in the cities. Staff is so friendly and atmosphere is quaint( although recently I was there for lunch and barista had music cranked) just the way a tiny cafe should be. Keep up the great work Mon Petit! Oh and grab a bag of day old pastries for a picnic on the river front!

Great little café! We came in at 8am on a Saturday and the place was well stocked with fresh pastries and hot coffee. It was just the two of us but not for long; the place filled up within the hour but it was pleasant company, families and the like. Our food came quickly and was delicious, and the cinnamon roll we got was perfection. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Came here for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of free street parking around the area and not too busy. We had the ham and brie sandwich and brioche french toast and a vanilla latte with homeade syrup. They also had a glass case of baked goods. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter and then there is plenty of seating and they bring food out to you. Great place for studying with free WiFi and close to the U of MN.

This is my new favorite place! All the food and baked goods are made in-shop! The quiche is always amazing and they literally have the best cold press in the city if you like it strong! I could visit this place multiple times in a month (sometimes do), and still not be able to try everything in their pastry display case. The ceaseless quantity of delicious options speaks volumes of the incredible baker(s) who make every visit a unique treat. Apparently, they also serve breakfast and lunch - who knew! Will have to try it sometime if I can ever tear myself away from the scones and brioche. Pro Tip: Love espresso? Order a double, enjoy what appears to be a half mug of black gold, and let the world shake to pieces around you.

I work for a catering company that caters to very wealthy people and my company bought cakes from here for an event. The guests raved about the cake, it was probably their favorite thing that we served them. And they have expensive taste so you know the cake was good!! (The cake wasn't expensive by the way). Also the staff was incredibly kind when I went to pick up the cakes! Check this place out!!

I live in the area; my mom was visiting and we woke up early on a Saturday. We wanted to walk to breakfast, and Mon Petit Cheri was the only place open. I had been here for coffee before but am so glad we went for breakfast. Delicious food, great service, able to address my severe food allergy, and a fun atmosphere. The building does have steps to get in the front door, but also has a wheelchair/handicap access on the side, which I saw many people use (basically it’s not a dumpster back entrance wheelchair users often have to deal with).

Great food and perfect portion sizes! The quiche has a delicious flaky crust and fluffy core with flavorful veggies. The blueberry orange cinnamon roll sounds like an odd combo but very tasty, it is sweet and fruity with a slight orange citrus flavor that is not overwhelming or bitter.

OMG. For what you get, this place is not worth it. Service is extremely poor. I got the Reuben sandwich and only half of the sandwich had meat on it! WTH? AND the meat was DRY! Ah, who serves dry meat? - someone who doesn't know how to cook!BTW, there was NO sauce on it, just a smather of stone ground mustard which didn't add any flavor at all - merely added to the overwhelming amount of pickle. Oh right, I think the pickle was to fool me into thinking I was getting a good sized sandwich, like it was in place of the lost meat! There was a tad of sauerkraut but not very good. Will not recommend nor return. And really mpc not interested in your very pathetic excuses for bad business. Action speaks volumes. Your words are merely excuses.

I love this place! Breakfast, coffee, pastries and lunch! The quiche options of the day, meat or veggie, are delicious and served with fresh greens. You have to try the orange blueberry sweet roll. While everything in the pastry case, from scones and rolls to cookies and sweet bread, pleases the palate, the orange blueberry sweet roll is pure delight!
