This place is absolutely amazing and deserves a 5 star rating! They were polite, and they made my nieces 1st birthday tres leches cake in no time even when I gave them a one day notice. I would recommend them to anybody. Thank you Durango Bakery for your guys hard work and effort

Durango Bakery was very simple and low key and had exactly what my friends and I wanted on a lazy Sunday morning. All of the treats looked so good that it was difficult to decide what to get. And the price was nice at only about $1 per item. Will definitely go again.

I had been following Durango on social media for a while and finally went to try some of the pastries I'd been seeing! I went at 6pm and the beautiful man working did not speak English. I don't speak Spanish so I was picking things based on look. I saw another person grabbing things and realized at the front counter there are silver trays and tongs. That is how you accumulate things, then bring it up to the counter and they bring you up while they bag your stuff. I literally have no idea what I grabbed but the prices cannot be beat. On my way home I ate half of everything Haha. My favourite so far was this croissant shaped, custard filled, sugar topped... donut? Oh my lantan, so delicious. I loved how nothing was overly sweet. They bake bread daily and I cannot wait to try the croissant!

It's cheap, the staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the pastries are all incredible. You can't go wrong with anything they sell here. I like stopping in to grab a couple treats to eat with my cup of Anelace coffee from next door.

Wonderful service, prices and amazing AUTHENTIC flan! Went next door, to the "fancier" Mexican restaurant and also ordered their flan to compare the two... Not only was the price difference unbelievable (2.75 at Durango to a whopping $8 at said restaurant) but the taste was simply uncomparable. Durango's was sweet, spongy, and melted in my mouth,while the restaurants took 15minutes, had overripe raspberries thrown on top, an uncomplimnetary "Sherry sauce" over that, and the consistency more like a soggy pudding than that of a quality,fluffy flan. The Bakery's portion was three times the size and less than half the price! I mean,come on here!!! For my first time trying this lovely little gem out, I can't wait to get back and see what other treats I've yet to discover! Thanks to Durango Bakery and their staff for the service, quality, and price that's such a rarity to find! TEN stars from this happy customer! Keep up the great work!! Stephanie

Been living in NE for over 3 years, and just stopped in to Durango today after grabbing coffee at Anelace. Perfect combo! Delicious pastries that I’d rather make a separate trip for to support a local NE business. I got a few custard filled pastries and a raspberry filled one. Just mind-blowingly good! And a ridiculously cheap price point! Get coffee from Anelace and go to Durango. Super easy, wonderful start to your day!

I'm giving Durango 5 stars for the service that I was given. I went in 1.5 hours before closing and asked if they had a tres leches cake that I could take home at that very moment. The individual who helped me let me know that they didn't have a ready-made cake in the front for sale, but he went to the back and made one for me since he had a cake on the side. He did all that within 10 minutes!

Durango Bakery is a very busy location due to the fact that they have almost every type of Mexican pastry and dessert available the General Public. There's also located in a section of Northeast Minneapolis with multiple restaurants which allows a good exposure for people who are Foodies like me. We purchased the birthday cake the store employee was more than helpful in helping decide what cake to get. I see myself returning to try to expand my world of Mexican desserts because it smelled wonderful in there and there's lots of options that I think will satisfy my sweet tooth. Highly recommend this location.

I just stopped in to see what kind of selection they had and I was completely shocked by how delicious everything was. I especially love the cream cheese filled pastries. Side note: The molasses pig shaped cookies are not good. Just skip those and you'll be happy with the rest.

A delight for the senses! The Tres Leche cakes are absolutely breathtaking. Beautifully decorated and heavy. I can't attest to the taste, because I wasn't able to try it, but if they taste half as good as they look they'll be amazing. There is also a large selection of bakery items...sweet rolls of various types, and breads. The service is attentive and friendly. I wish I didn't live on the other side of the cities, because it would be a frequent stop for me. On second thought perhaps that's good, haha. I highly suggest giving them a try for something out of the ordinary!

I was really looking forward to rating this place highly. But unfortunately I can't. I ordered for a cake on a Monday to be picked up Thursday late afternoon. Spoke to two different people at different times that confirmed the order. Yet when I got there on Thursday, they said there was no order recorded. Due to the close time, I just had to settle for one of their display cakes and call it a day.
