Best Macaroons Ever. The place is always packed but they have a "take a number" system and it goes really fast. Everything is delicious. This is a must stop if I'm anywhere near there. Probably a good thing that I live 2+ hours away.

Ryan and I got married last weekend. We had a 1950's themed wedding. I wanted our cupcakes to look a certain way (red cupcake foil with a cherry and a red and white stripped straw coming out the top) Cold Spring Bakery did a phenomenal job designing the cupcakes...not only did they look amazing, they tasted amazing too. Guests from out of state asked where they came from and were very impressed. We worked with Kate, she paid attention to detail and gave us ideas on what would and wouldn't work. The Cold Spring Bakery is famous in central MN for a good reason!

I was given a key pie to celebrate my birthday and it tasted good until I found my next bite had a hair about a foot long. I called the St Cloud store that the Cold Springs bakery pie was purchased at. ... they offered another pie ....no thank you. I would never recommend this bakery

Great bakery! Large selection of donuts, bread, cookies (try the cookies!!!), and other great bakery items. They sell some of their products in other local stores but you need to go to their actual store for the full selection. Great service and great food. It's a local favorite!

Cold Spring Bakery made cupcakes for my wedding recently. I sent them a photo of a cake and asked them to use the design but in cupcake form. They completely exceeded my expectations and were one of my favorite parts of my wedding. They also tasted delicious! Highly recommend!

My husband and I ordered cheesecake cupcakes to host at our wedding reception and they were delicious! We loved the lemon flavor and were pleasantly surprised how tasty the cherry flavor was that we had to get them! We received a lot of compliments from guests on the dessert. My mom doesn’t like cheesecake and even she was raving about them! We will definitely be back to the bakery for more!

I don't post many reviews. Pretty much only when it's exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Thankfully this was the former. I just happened to be passing through Cold Spring and had an hour to kill, so I decided to see what was available. I stopped by the Cold Spring Bakery and bought a box of a few different things that looked good. Everything looked good and fresh, but sometimes looks can be deceiving. Good lord, man. Every single thing that I bought was grade A fine. Exceptionally tasty and obviously very fresh. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place if you're close. You won't regret it. My faves were the monster cookie, date cookie, and mocha bar. Awesome!

I usually don’t do review but I felt like I had to, I felt like I wasted my time, and was disrespected. I went in April 23 a week before my nieces bday and order a cake and let them know I wanted pick up May 3rd day before the party. When it was time for the cake be picked up they said the cake was never order. I needed to show a picture I took of the paperwork showing I order it, and had to make another the same day. And worse part was when it was time to cut the cake, the cake was falling apart the layers, and I ask for no filled and there was filling, and the frosting was literally falling apart as well and it was only 1 day ago that we picked the cake up. It was unacceptable very disappointing, since I heard such great things about Cold Spring bakery, but having this experience I will never come back again.

Our cake was beautiful and we still have guests talking about how good it was! The almond cake with lemon filling is a must ;) We will be using Cold Spring Bakery in the future!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, cream filled donughts! They put a ton of cream in their eclairs!!! In my opinion, they make the BEST cream filling of any bakery I have tried! Fantastic! The butter pecan coffee was also excellent! Love this Saturday morning "date" place with my hubby

Love the taste of their cakes! We ordered a wedding cake from them, but it turned out to the the wrong colors that we asked for and some of the designed we thought were going to be on the cake were not there as well. Still impressed on the cascading flower design and the look of the two tier cake!

Such an amazing bakery! They did a beautiful job on our wedding cake. We had a three tier with only the top tier real. I told them to place the flowers wherever they wanted and it was exactly what I had pictured if not better. We had almond flavored sheet cakes from them as well. People were constantly complimenting me on how good it was! In fact, it was so good that the top of our tier cake also got eaten. The consultation was great and everything up to the wedding day was perfect. They were extremely nice and very helpful. Their other baked goods are DELICIOUS too! I would make a trip to stop there any day.

Personally, I find the Cold Spring Bakery a bit overrated, but I'd still recommend them. Is it the best bakery? No. It's a good bakery, with a lot to choose from. There aren't many bakeries left, so it's your only choice in the area. If you go here on a weekend during the summer, be prepared to wait, sometimes up to 20 minutes. Everyone from the nearby Chain of Lakes... vacationers, camp-goers, resort people... comes here for their bakery goods. The prices are a tad bit high on some items when compared to other local bakeries. You'll find fresh donuts and bakery goods... cookies, brownies, bread, cakes, donuts, caramel rolls, eclairs. They have pretty much whatever you're looking for at a bakery. You'll find something to keep everyone happy - cake donuts, chocolate covered long johns with buttercream filling, glazed apple and blueberry pockets, raspberry bismarks, lemon filled bismarks, etc. They'll also make birthday and wedding cakes for you. If you have a sweet tooth, they'll help you to satisfy it.

If you look at their ingredients, you'll feel cheated. High Fructose Corn Syrup, etc. Their stuff is no different than the stuff you see at your mega grocery store.

Our wedding centerpiece cakes were amazing. We received many rave reviews from our guests and the gluten free cake was very tasty. Delivery was a little late but no matter, it was completed within time of the wedding and we were delighted with the end result. Even though they may be a bit out of the way from the twin cities......consider them.....They deliver and you will be wanting more cake! Thank you ladies the cakes were a hit!

We planned our wedding cake with Donna. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend working with her. I'd recommend their carrot or almond cake. Their cream cheese frosting is amazing.

Interesting encounter today at bakery. I was questioning the pricing of multiple packages of rolls. The choices I made were all $1.39 per roll and 6/$7.39(I think). Woman in charge said that was incorrect as any with nuts would not apply. She still didn’t listen when shown the prices were all the same and felt I was trying to be a smarty when all I needed and wanted was an explanation why those with nuts would be more when the noted prices were all the same. She was quite rude, which is exactly what she felt I was being, but in my case, I was the customer, trying to make a purchase to justify her wage. And it all ended with her seeing the price sign , poking around on her cash register and saying “oh, they must have changed the price”!!! Customers are the reason you get to work at 3am and spend time making such wonderful baked items. It’s a shame to have Ill informed employees and those unwilling to listen to their customers. I live in SD and stop twice a year, not sure that will continue if anyone cares. You do have an amazing bakery, however.

This bakery is amazing. There are so many different desserts to choose from. My favorite is the chocolate mocha square. The service was pretty good too. I also really appreciate the hours that they're open. I would recommend stopping in.

Wonderful bakery. Staff was courteous, efficient and helpful. The baked choices were numerous. A nice little nook of local books with a table and chairs allows you to enjoy your purchase with a cup of coffee. However as with all local favorite places, you may have to grab a number and wait until called during the morning rush. Patience is a virtue, your wait will be worth it.
