REVIEWS OF White Wolf Japanese Patisserie IN Michigan

The atmosphere was nice and there were much more seats than I expected. I sat at the counter so I was able to see them use organic products, which was great and I assume that’s why their food is expensive. The bread of the egg sandwich felt dry in my mouth. I prefer moist bread just like real Japanese egg sandwich.

Wonderful bakery, the look and feel is perfect, really nice coffee and tea options. Most importantly the pastries are delicious, any time they have curry buns make sure to get one.

Checked out WWJP and had an incredible time meeting the friendly staff and chatting with Chef Doran. His vision for the brand and how to give back to the community is inspiring. The coffee/tea program is amazing, along with all the French/Japanese inspired treats that are made fresh in-house. Such menu items like decadent Matcha Cheesecake, savory Curry Pan, Katsu Sando, and even a variety of macaroons are worth ordering. My fav drink items have been their Cortado and Matcha Latte. My next drink items will be their Hojicha Latte and Nitro Cold Brew. Perfect location to bring your friends, family, and colleagues. They have plenty of street/plaza parking, indoor seating and coffee beans/tea/swag for purchase. Will def be back to order more things to try!

Very high quality at a fair price point. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy. One of my favorite parts is they support other Michigan businesses, such as using Michigan grown produce and selling Eli tea. They also are committed to only using produce which is in season, to further guarantee quality. As for the coffee, the flavor is top notch and the latte art impressive. Each cup of coffee is accompanied by an information panel, so you know where the beans were sourced. WW is also next to Noble Fish, so I can grab sushi for lunch, then head over to WW for a pastie and coffee. I will be a returning customer.

We went to White Wolf last weekend. It's a very nice store - new, modern, open, bright. We went on a morning so there were quite a few people in the store either ordering food/drinks or enjoying their treats at the tables. It was a bit noisy. We think the walls are reflecting the noises so it makes is hard to have a quiet conversation. I ordered a matcha latte. It tasted amazing. Not too sweet like what you would get in Starbucks. You can taste a gentle bitterness in the end. That's the way I like my green tea flavored drinks! I also tried their melon pan. Totally reminded me of Japan. Very authentic.

I was very excited to try White Wolf today. The cafe itself is very clean and simple, the food is incredible (they must have a really good pastry chef), and the coffee was super tasty. I will definitely be back. Try the curry pan and the tamago sandwich!

This place is amazing! It's very clean and open inside. I had their autumn spice latte and cheese pan, and then was back the next day for a katsu sandwich and matcha latte. It was a little bit more than I would usually spend on a sandwich/drink (but I must say the cheese pan was very affordable) but I can understand that quality ingredients and quality service comes with a price. Absolutely everything tasted amazing! Another thing that I like is that if you sit by the bar, you can watch the staff cooking and baking and even chat with them if they aren't too busy. All the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a nice, light lunch and tasty drink.

I had the opportunity to visit during the soft opening today and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was awesome, with places to sit as a group at tables or at a counter, watching the bakers bake. It's a weird call-out, but their chairs were way more comfy than was I was expecting. Would not mind staying the day in them. The latte I ordered tasted great, as well as the breads that I got to try: melon pan and cheese pan. Be warned, these two are amazingly sweet! The staff were super nice & approachable and the baker's area was fun to watch - especially if you get in early to see them baking and designing pastries. The bathrooms were oddly enough another highlight of my time. Chalkboard walls were definitely the way to go! Not to mention someone had their time making an amazing wolf portrait (seriously, it as great.) I'm so excited for their full launch, really hoping to try more food out and get to chill in those comfy chairs once more

This place had pretty good Genmaicha. However, with this place being advertised as a Japanese Patisserie, it was not authentic. Wish it would have had authentic pastries with lower prices.

Great desserts even greater drinks. The Salted caramel specialty was delicious!

Really wanted some choco pan or melon pan, didn't see any in the case when I stopped in. Were asking $12 for a tiny katsu sandwich. Disappointing.

Great ambiance and very friendly staff! Interior is clean and they have good seating space. Pastries and beverages are fantastic! I'm happy they have oat milk and soy milk for dairy alternatives! I brought my laptop to work for a little bit and the chairs are the most comfortable cafe chairs I ever sat in :) Would recommend to ppl!

Delicious flavors. The only one of its kind in the metro Detroit area. Clean, open, and comfortable setting. I appreciate the consideration of the environment in providing glassware for water, etc. Well-staffed and quick service.

Stopped in this morning to grab some pastries for breakfast, the decor is bright and friendly, very clean on the inside, with plenty of seating. We had melon pan, anpan, curry bread, and some macarons. Everything tasted very fresh, and quite delicious. The bean buns were light, fluffy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The curry bread was a favorite among the family, chewy dough, lightly crisp panko crust, and perfect curry filling. Look forward to the next time we stop in!

Fantastic desserts and drinks in the most tranquil setting! Quality is so impressive and the staff is very eager to help. Hope they stay around for a very, very, long time!

Nice Japanese patisserie to hang out

I really wish I could give this bakery 5 stars. Let’s start with the good. The interior is modern and the company is forward thinking about their carbon footprint. The americano coffee is delicious and the presentation of the mocha is beautiful. The matcha green tea cheesecake is also delicious and the creme brûlée is wonderful. Fast wifi and comfortable seating is also a plus. However, there are 2 big problems with this bakery. First is that their hours are too limited which have caused me to go elsewhere on several occasions. Many people work until 5 so having a closing time at 5-6 is not a great idea for sales. Sunday closing at 3 also seems to be too soon. Secondly, the desserts are priced too high for the small portions that you get. The creme brûlée is $5 and for that you get a dessert smaller than your palm, very disappointing. Similar bakeries charge the same price for a creme brûlée twice the size with a comparable taste profile.
