Exceptional food, service and experience!! First time and it was phenomenal!! Very cute and quaint!! Love the menu, atmosphere and the bakery! This is the new place to go for any occasion!! Thank you for a wonderful time!!

Seth Dominique

Was just passing through and found this gem. Can't say enough about how good everything was! After your meal, do yourself a favor and grab some soft pretzels (best ones I've had and I'm an addict). :)

brian shipaila

Homemade chocolates awesome place

Anthony W

This place is amazing! The food, which includes gluten-free options, was some of the best I have ever had. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I could not have asked for better service. The prices are about what you would expect for a bakery or deli. Considering what you get, I would even be willing to pay more; now that I know what is offered. No Turkish coffee on the menu yet, but that may be an item on the menu in the future if we can convince the people running operations that it is worth it. The competition would be minimal as good Turkish coffee is hard to find.

Tom Hicks

Very fast and friendly service. We just purchased pastries and they were excellent. We are looking forward to trying the pizza.

mike quigg

Great food and they have a bar

shaggy 505

We are local and go here about once every week or so whether for the muffins and pretzels before school or dinner and drinks. I love the salads and pizza, the salads are large enough to split with an appetizer or pizza as my wife and I like to do. Our boys really like the cheese pizza or the burgers. I’ve never been disappointed in the food or drinks and it is much better quality and variety than most places in the area as there aren’t many good options. I’d give five stars but the service can be hit and miss although in the last six months it seems to have gotten slightly better. Still going there every week or more often but have to say the last few times we’ve been in for dinner the service was terrible; from time to be seated to level of service at table, frustrating because food is great

My whole family loved this place! We stopped here for lunch while visiting Spring Lake. I had an excellent salad, my husband had a tasty pizza, and my kids had burgers and fries from the kids menu. Everyone’s food was delicious and my husband was thrilled with the beer selection. The restaurant is decorated very cute and homey. The owner seems to have thought of everything including diapers and wipes and pads/tampons in the women’s restroom. I really liked how there was a chair in the women’s room for nursing mothers, along with a note to feel free to nurse babies in the dining room too. After lunch we went over to the bakery side and got some delicious treats and coffee and ate them out on their front patio area. Fantastic experience from start to finish!

Laurie Cihos

Wonderful food. Breakfast, lunch and desserts. Unique atmosphere. You will enjoy!

Louis Paxton

Came in to pick up special-ordered holiday pie, with discount for Tuesday to avoid Thanksgiving rush. Pie is beautiful, stayed for breakfast..service good..food very good.."health muffin" absolutely outstanding. Feel meal is somewhat over-priced, but nice experience anyway..V.B. is nice community asset.

JohnnyB Good

Food was good. Service not so much. It’s not that they are swamped or stressed. It’s just an air of pretentiousness. My wife and I went a couple times. The first time we chalked it up as maybe just having a bad server. The second time it became clear that the staff were just condescending and snobby. They talk down to you, especially if you don’t know their menu. After meeting the owner it’s no mystery why they behave this way. My mind is very confused because this is not some upscale restaurant in NYC or Beverly Hills, it’s just a small town Spring Lake bakery place. I have no idea why they behave this way. Will not be returning. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Andrew

Delicious breakfast and pizzas!

Margaret Milwrick

The BEST ever. Had the "Baker's Wife", "Megalomaniac" and "The Villager". All were AMAZING. Wish we were here longer to try more. Will definitely come back when in the area.

Pat Best

Waitress told is we needed to be on the bakery side if we were't eating a meal. This was the fourth time meeting and we're never told that before. Not overly friendly this time.

Barbara Goudreau

Great bakery items and coffee. Very nice restaurant also.

krbrumma

Yep, can confirm best pretzels! Hard to get a seat in the cafe during the holidays, gets overrun by the dinner. Great service makes up for that in no time though. Great place.

Becky Hudson

Amazing! Had the Brie and crostini and the margherita pizza. Oh my goodness it was very good. Service was good as well. Food came out quick and hot. My friend had the black bean burgers and said it was the best she had in a while. Definitely recommend!

Josh VanderMolen

Awesome place for any meal

Stephanie Rau

The best cinnamon roll ever!! Great customer service and nice atmosphere.

Ryan K.

Cute and cozy. Good for a quick stop, meal, or an afternoon of coffee and reading. The pretzels really are that good, and put anything you'd consider buying in a mall to shame. Have enjoyed their breakfast (don't forget to try the homemade jam), their specialty pizzas, and the soup/sandwich combo is a perfect sized lunch - the fact they throw in a little Congo bar triangle satisfies my sweet tooth just right.

Pam VanFaasen

Usually everything is awesome at VB, but today I ordered a mushroom, swiss, and onion burger that did not come as described on the menu. No mayo on the burger and it also did not come with a bite sized dessert. My friend's Monte Cristo sandwich was all bread and very dry. Hardly any of the delicious compote that is usually in the sandwich.

Leon Long

Cant resist stopping here. Great pretzels bread and scones.

Bret Lewis

Food was good, service slow.

Christy Bellaoud

Wonderful array of bake goods and treats. Full restaurant as well with gourmet foods. Does not disappoint. A foodie would enjoy their stop here.

Deb Vanderlind Jackson

Great food Friendly competent personal service.

David Newton

A great surprise in Spring Lake. We had a great lunch experience. Will definitely be back.

Clara Thelen

Fast service! Amazing breakfast and baked goods

Byron Despres-Berry

Can't really comment on the food. Came in for lunch, but I never had a chance to eat. The staff completely ignored me for the good long while I was standing at the un-staffed hostess station, next to the "wait here to be seated" sign. After realizing I lost track of how long I'd been waiting, Thanksgiving leftovers at home ended up sounding pretty good.

Valerie Letenyei

My favorite place to meet my husband after a long day of work. The atmosphere is relaxing, the food is served hot and full of flavor. Favorite pizza in town - the Oranator!

Dan De Voe

Very nice place. Good service, surroundings and delicious food. I will be back soon.

Theresa MacKeller

Bakery products are amazing and they even helped carry my purchases out to car☘

Rick Becker

What a great place! Stacey, our server was super attentive and knowledgeable! They are dog friendly and their customers we're all friendly and sociable!! We enjoyed the black bean burger and fries and some French press coffee☕ We give it 20 thumbs up

Aaron Boyle

Top notch breads and baked goods here--everything made with high quality ingredients, no conditioners, and best eaten within the first few days. As far as I know, everything is made from scratch (except the tortillas) on site. If you've never had a bakery pretzel or fresh sourdough bread, they're definitely worth checking out, along with the muffins, scones, French bread, pumpernickel, rye, multi-grain breads, and more! If you like good bread, or think you might, it's definitely worth the trip!

Gary Olsen

Wonderful wait staff, great food, reasonably priced we will be back

Brandon Murphy

I have lived in Spring Lake for 10 years and this has been hands down the best place for food and drink in the area. Unlike most restaurants they are constantly evolving their menu and adapting to what people actually like. They have amazing pizzas, my favorite is the oranator! The cocktails are very well crafted, the peach pit mule is wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Nancy Cross

I'd love to tell you about my favorite thing to order. But so far, I've loved everything! Although it can get extremely busy and you have to wait, that's what happens in a small, popular restaurant. Still I've found the staff to be very friendly and helpful throughout the restaurant & store. I am never able to leave Village Baker without a large box of muffins, cookies, & scones. Delicious!

Jackie McClain

Best scones I've ever had This is now my favorite breakfast baker. Lunch or dinner has to be the Oranator...a speciality pizza that is over the top.

Bruce Dahlman

Just the normal, absolutley fantastically delicious treats.

Suzanne Landry

Cute little place to grab a bite to eat!

loretta wallace

Just had your whitefish dinner and was so disappointed. Presentation was very bland and the fish was tasteless/fishy, we should have stuck with your sandwiches which have always been delicious. I thought that your dinners would be equally as good but will probably give up on those.

Mike English

Waited a hour and a half for blueberry pancakes.

Clean Gene

Excellent food and atmosphere. We love the incredible variety of homebaked goods!

Michael Brady

Fantastic pizza! Some if the best.

Willow

Friendly staff and the best London fogs!!!!

Aaron Dunning

Excellent Menu with real ingredients. Thx

Nicole Boguslawski

Not enough good things to say about this wonderful place. At first appearances walking in I felt it was small and cramped but that was soon dismissed as I was able to shop around the waiting area before sitting down finding all sorts of wonderful things made by our local community! Then the food was just absolutely delicious. If you are visiting this area, please consider this delicious place. The food was just simply amazing and staff was so friendly. This was our first time, but surely will not be our last.

The Village Baker is hands down the best restaurant / bakery on the West coast of Michigan. It may be the best in Western Michigan or the entire state. (I haven't tried them all yet) It's not just a first class bakery who's treats will make your mouth water. It's a top flight restaurant that serves classic dishes with inspirational twists that keep me coming back for more. I love their modern iPad menus. They're easy enough for even my dad to operate. And the friendly, knowledgeable staff are wonderful. Oh, and I didn't even get to possibly the best pizza in Michigan. Be warned dining at the Village Baker is an experience that will ruin other restaurants for you. The Village Baker truly is a jem of West Michigan.

Rachel Kane

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends so we had to check it out and we are so glad we did! The food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been friendlier! The baked french toast with spring lake blueberries will keep me dreaming for a while

Deb Besmer

Wonderful food, great service and cute decor.

Jennifer Milas

I had the smaller bitter sweet salad and it was sufficient for lunch. Great combination of pears, cranberry, arugula and greens. Yummy.

Laura Kirk

Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff, plentiful variety for food/beverage. Nice atmosphere. Our server, Heidi, was super!

David MacRae

Always a favorite. Quality food and bakery goods made on site and fresh

Greg Marcusse

Great menu from breakfast to dessert. Just dont be in a hurry to get in and get out. But a definite great place to stop for a good quality meal at a good price

Jacob Grimm

Never disappointed with anything here. Great restaurant and bakery

Nathan Bair

Great selection of baked breads and treats. Great for a quick bite to eat or for a sit down meal.

Sandi McCarthy

Oh how I love this Bakery! You simply have to visit..I cannot do it justice here.

Jo-El Ten Brink

Must come eat yummy food and sweets

Logan Quist-Chaffee

Put this one on your list! I stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday morning at the end of a weekend in Grand Haven. The staff and hostess were very polite and professional. There is a good breakfast menu from which I selected the Quiche Loraine. It was delicious! On Sundays, in addition to the brunch beverages you would expect, they have a Bloody Mary bar available on which you can build your own garnishments and sides to accompany your beverage. There is also a bakery shop attached to the restaurant. Here you can choose from quite a selection of breads, sweet rolls, scones, and Bavarian Pretzels. I definitely made a good choice stopping here!

David Cooper

Food and service was very good. Enjoyed the experience and would go back.

Lou Ann Portincasa

Good good and staff

Tracer Dykman

This is definitely a great spot to visit with friends or family. I have taken several people here simply because of the excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. They have a large variety, whether it be in their bakery, restaurant, or bar. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are large. I would recommend the Build Your Own sandwiches. Amazing bread, baked in house. I always bring home leftovers! Can't wait to go back

Caroline Sample

Such an awesome, magical place. Love to visit every time I come back in town.

Joe Engel

Excellent Feijoada stew, and tasty sandwiches...service pleasant, and prompt, despite full house. Prices competitive, and good value. Separate bakery fare sinfully tempting....

Anthony Tilley

Food was very good! Service was decent. Stop by the bakery and get something sweet for dessert!

Dorie Hall

Great food and pastries.

eric adams

Great food, fun and friendly staff

Angie Watts

Little Pink Houses of Hope Survivor Breakfast was great. Thank you for allowing to use your location and providing a great location for our ladies to spend time together.

olive lillian

The food is amazing and the staff is nice.

Aubrey Guilbault

We’ve been coming here each time we visit spring lake. We love the delicious bakery items and the store is fun. We have always loved the delicious pizza. But this last Saturday night, two of us ordered pizza and neither of us even liked it. Hungry howies or little Caesar’s tastes much better than the Saturday night pizzas. The pizzas were under cooked. The cheese was barely melted so I sent it back to get it at least browned. It came back with the cheese still not browned but the crust was a little burned. Also, the cheese, crust and sauce tasted cheap and much less good than ever before. A frozen pizza would taste better which is shocking. We ate it and filled our bellies but we’re very disappointed. Maybe there was a new cook that night or they were out of the usual pizza ingredients. I hope they fix this problem because we really enjoyed the pizza in the past.

Allan Deyoung

Great time at Oktoberfest with friends. Great food, great beer, great music. Lots of fun. Well done!!!

Chris Dyer

Food was good. Coffee was too weak for my taste.

Ashley S

My husband and I order pizza from the village baker a few times a month. We love the nanny goat- it’s full of so much flavor and the toppings go perfectly together. We also have gone to village baker as a last minute date night and have always enjoyed the atmosphere for it. The staff is always so welcoming as well. If you haven’t tried village baker yet- you definitely should do so!

Doug Miller

Our first time eating here & we'll be back. Great sandwiches - pizza-deserts to select. Also bakery sweets available.

Ken Szpond

Great selection of breakfast options and great bread for lunch sandwiches. Liked it so much we came back next day for the homemade pizza. Loved it! Some really eclectic featured pizzas too. Great milkshake and homemade lemonade too. You gotta try this place.

Marti Hitchings

Delicious fresh baked goods, friendly service, and charming atmosphere.

Tom U

Great place to eat, friendly staff, a little loud and crazy because it is so stinking busy. But the food is delicious. Although their claims to having the "best pizza in Michigan" are just ludicrous and unfounded. They also claim to have the best Manhattan on the Lakeshore, but again, no imperical data here, although I didn't try them anyway. They have hilhof farms milk on hand, which is delicious and everyone should try it at least once. It is amazing.

Danny Bannigan

I’ve been coming to Grand Haven/Spring Lake my whole life and I just tried Village Baker for the first time with my fiancé and family. We went for breakfast and it was very delicious! They have a variety of fresh baked goods and quite a selection on the menu for breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere is very inviting. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They have a little cafe that sells an assortment of fresh breads and baked goods. The server must have forgot my 2 eggs and one of my beef medallions but rest assured, they were very nice and accommodating about that. They even gave me two fresh baked pretzels before we left to makeup for the mishap. I wasn’t upset at all because they were so nice about it. This is a must try if you’re in the area! I would highly recommend and can not wait to come back to try their lunch!

Richard Watson

Busy place-for a reason! Gluten free pizza. Cheese cake, cookies, pies, and soft pretzels! Satisfy your cravings here. Eat in family friendly restaurant with in door or patio seating. And, a gift shop. Absolutely loved this Village Baker.

Ian Joyce

This place is great - really inspired menu and beautiful setting. They struggle with keeping good people due to the seasonality of the demand in this location, and that can lead to slow downs in service. Try and be patient and you'll be rewarded with a delicious breakfast/lunch/even dinner. And their bar is awesome!

Micah Lunt

Good food and coffee. We try to stop here every time we’re in town. Good for kids also.

Marthajthomas Thomas

Great food and atmosphere!

momdog72

Wonderfully fresh baked goods that are absolutely top notch! Staff is super friendly and helpful, so if you've never been here before, don't hesitate to ask questions! I haven't been to the restaurant side, but if it's half as good as the bakery, it's amazing!

Laura Schultz

UNIQUE! Good food, quaint friendly atmosphere.

Peter Jackson

Horrible service. While the baked goods and food are very good, I find the attitude there unacceptable. My daughter went there to take my wife out for mother’s day, and she arrived early, and asked for a table for five. The hostess’s response was “I don’t think we can do that. Do you know what a reservation is?” In a very condescending tone. Now my daughter is a server herself and is very aware of how hard folks like this work, so she has a special place in her heart for resturaunt workers, and she would never talk to anyone like that. Needless to say, they went to another restaurant. On another occasion my younger daughter, 22, went there with a friend and ordered a glass of wine. The server asked for ID, which she was given, and she was bending the ID to see if it was legit, and holding the ID up to her face to compare pictures, and then proceeded to ask fifty questions about if they went to high school together, where did they go to high school etc Probably some training in customer service and how to treat people would be in order. Can’t support a business who treats people this way.

Sandra Dunning

I had eggs Benedict for breakfast. It was great. I will be returning there again.

Haejin Kim

Our favorite! Food is always delicious and so family friendly!

Lori Bochenek

Love the food, Best pizza in town. Not crazy about their beer selection

Carol & David Sevener

As usual, the product and service is exceptional. We recommend to our friends.

Michael Ellis

Wish I could tell you how the food was, but after waiting 1 hr and 45 min and only getting served drinks we left. A party of 6 was waiting to be seated for 45 minutes. There were maybe 3 groups of people eating in the whole place. After 40 minutes of waiting for a beer, the waitress came back and told us she was out of that one. When we asked what else she had on tap she asked if we wanted to come look because she didn’t have them memorized.

Dakota Gordon

Such great food and service!

Alicia Knight

One of our favorite local spots! Great for any meal at the restaurant or to pop in a grab some tasty bread and pastries from the bakery. Love the Village Baker!

Mary Zoppa

I love The Village Baker! I love the pizzas, I love the sandwiches, and I especially love the salads! Salads are fresh have a nice variety and they come in two sizes. The Village Baker also has quite the selection of baked goods. Cookies breads scones and pretzels. I drive from Rockford just for lunch

Mary Pearson

A favorite brunch spot! Great food and service. Sure wish the baker would create a gluten free choice. I'm sure it would be delicious!

josh byrnes

Phenomenal, amazing, kudos to the chef and our server. We will be back next year for the Valentine's special . Josh Byrnes

Shawn Lazarock

F ood was great. Sad to see the disgusting language about President Trump displayed at the front desk on magnet plaques. Not appropriate for the business or children. Not sure I will be going back.

Michael Niemi

Some of the best baked goods around quick stop of coffee and the all the food is pretty great too I suggest the pizza too! This is a must stop every time I'm in spring lake

Carolyn McCarty

Great food & drinks when dining in. Great baked goods and sweets at the counter. Always get great service and wonderful food!

Neira Skrebo

food is amazing, service was great, we wilk be back again

Brion Scheidel

Great goodies. Haven't tried anything else yet, but we will!

Jessica DeLeon

This place has a cozy, warm and eclectic atmosphere. The music, star lights and cases filled with delicious looking pastries, muffins, mouse cups and scones transports you to a Parisian cafe. The gift shop has the cutest stuff, mommy and me aprons, crochet animal hats, tea pots and candles. I wanted it all. Their drink menu is wonderful as well. I cant wait to go back!

Stephanie Schmitt

Very good service and the food was great!

Andrew Ostrum

Fantastic service and food!

Havealittle fun

I've always had a great experience here with bakery items and dining in. The staff are always super nice, too.

Irene Gaskin

The Greatest!!!!!! Customer service was awesome.... friendly environment loved it !!!!! If you ever visit spring lake check it out.

Kira Vogel

Best pretzels in Michigan. Everything that comes from this place is made with love and it shows. The food and baked goods are amazing and staff is always friendly. We come at least every month to stock up on all sorts of delicious breads and pastries. Well worth the stop!

doctoratomix Kuumba Tarishi

Oooooh! This place is number ONE! Pretzel bread, salads, pizza is out of this world, and staff and management go the extra mile!

Cheryl Stella Dalisay

A must hit if you're in Grand Haven or Spring Lake! The bakery items, especially the soft pretzels, are to die for! You can order bakery and some other items to go....including some interesting pizzas. But, take the time to enjoy their restaurant and their interesting menu as well. I have liked everything I've had there...the blueberry pancakes are second to none!

Faith Meitzler

10/10 service and food. Everything on the menu has thought to it, and comes to the table delicious and presented beautifully!

Christopher Deneau

Love this place, perfect brunch spot, and don’t forget about the awesome soft pretzels!

Kathie Holden

Slow service, food was so so.

Theresa Dixon

Best pizza by far! Salads are also delicious. Desserts and drinks are amazing as well. Can't go wrong with anything from here. Staff is extremely nice and helpful.

RIZA ERBAS

Pricey, decent food, decent service. Four stars for quality of food and sweets. They have lots of different quality choices but I feel like there's something missing, which is preventing me from giving give stats, but I can't put my finger on it though. I would definitely suggest this place to families.

Christina Sanchez

This family friendly restaurant has earned its 5 stars. I have been there quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The pizza's are so good. Quality ingredients and perfectly baked crust that is slightly crispy but still a little chewy make a wonderful balance. The breads and bake goods are the best around (my personal favorite is the sour dough). My son is in love with the homemade pretzels which are very authentic to European style. We always have to bring home a few after dinner. Service is good and prompt. Wine and drink selections are plentiful and the bar has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. If you are looking for some great food with friendly small town appeal I highly recommend giving them a try.

Darrin Wolf

Amazed by the quality of the dishes. Also amazed by the prices. If you miss wholesome meals, cooked with whole foods ingredients, all made from scratch, with a rich dose of German ethnicity, try this place! You will be pleasantly surprised!

420MrPink

I personally know good people who have worked at this place and had to endure dealing with Sara. There are plenty of reviews that address the issues surrounding her personality, so I don't feel the need to elaborate on that. It's just sad to see the potential of a business getting squandered by the ego of the person who runs it. Food's pretty decent though.

Joe Koenig

Blueberry pancakes were overcooked and hard (7/9/19). On a previous visit they were perfect. I don't think I'll chance it again.

Jim Peacock

Great food great service

Suzan Moody

The Viiage Baker first opened as just a bakery and expanded into a fine dining restaurant. Had the Michigan Bitter Sweet salad, stuffed mushrooms and almond crusted whitefish. Excellent in so many ways. The food was fantastic, the service surprisingly fast, and our waitress was friendly and thoughtful. Had to get the raisin cinnamon bread from the bakery to take home. Wonderful place. A must go to place for dinner.

Maria Whitlow

Really enjoyed 1st time at Village Baker!! Food was amazing, atmosphere was cozy and Stacy did a great job as our server!!

Dean Kanitz

Humble, made from scratch restaurant that is also a bakery. There are some more unique items on the menu like pretzel crumbs on a pizza which was really good and there is the rainbow bread grilled cheese that the kids all enjoy. The food is both fun and tasty. The bakery is an added bonus after the meal.

Lucy Sanders

I was in town on business and met a colleague here. It was simple and tasty.

Dan Hendrick

Great lunch. Good selection of dishes and big sandwiches

Ultimate Rose 76

Enjoy this quaint bakery/cafè in Spring Lake. Gluten free options available.

Bill Severance

Omgoodness! What an amazing spot! Warm, friendly service. Breakfast and coffee were PERFECT

Michael Martens

Service was great.

Andrea Crossman

One of my favorite restaurants in Spring Lake and Grand Haven to eat for any meal of the day. Great owners. Creative.

Ryan Thompson

Great food while still being family friendly (not always the case)! The pizzas are especially fantastic but I haven’t had a bad meal. Be sure to check out the drink menu as well (cocktails and coffee).

Ben Lutz

Love the bakery. Muffins and scones are fantastic. They have the best scone I've ever tasted. They used to be a little less painful on the pocketbook though, and they dont give free mustard with pretzels now :/

Jessica Melching

We absolutely love Village Baker we have been going multiple times a month since I moved here six years ago. I have already been 3 times in the last week! Jill is the best bartender and Sara is the sweetest owner. We adore all of the menu changes... the sweetart is my favorite drink and the olive pizza is to die for. The new breakfast menu is soooo yum! We cannot say enough good things about it!!

Jeffrey Ochsner

Good quality ingredients

Barb Kelly

Always a great meal

Ruth Methner

Good place to eat. The cannoli where great.

Tyler Lawrence

Went there for the Oktoberfest and had a great time! Service was excellent, pizza, pretzels with beer cheese, and the beer were all delicious. I wish I lived closer!

Thomas Vigil

Best bakery I've ever been to

John Ydo

Friendly service, good food!

Daniel Foutch

Good food, but my lunch was supposed to come with a small dessert and I didn't find out until it came time for dessert that they were out. I was not offered anything in return for their lack of supply. The waitress seemed unaware that a small dessert should be included, and couldn't offer any alternative.

Vickie M.

The food and service are excellent

David Denman

Passing through Grand Haven and saw Village Bakery, we love a good bakery. We bought 4 cookies which we tried later that evening. The chocolate chip was good, but the peanut butter cookie was very crumbly, dry and very little peanut butter. The iced cookie was terrible. Lets get to Dinner, waiter said the Almond Crusted Whitefish was popular, well maybe for the locals or those who just settle. The fish was not so much the problem, but it was not crusted at all and had no flavor, nor did the sauce. The waiter blamed the young cook and the head chef was not there and wanted me to tell the kid how to fix a crusted fish. He took the fish, put it in a dry mixture with just crumbs of some sort , no seasoning or anything, covered it and put it on the plate. He never seared it in a pan or broiler. Kinda like shake and bake without any flavor, just blaw. $18.00 for a piece of fish, one ice cream scoop of mash potatoes, no salad, no bread and a kid who can't cook and he wanted me to talk to him on fixing a crusted dish. The waiter did give us 50 percent off. Who ask a customer to tell the cook how to cook..lol. girlfriend had the spicy patty melt which came out with the bread burndt. They did make a new one, a bit better, but fries were a bit done and dark. Manager never came out, just the waiter controlling what went wrong. My question is, where was the manager, where was the head chef and who leaves a kid in charge of a kitchen who can't cook. Hope he can cook eggs, kinda hard to screw up unless you burn them or over cook. This is the best part of all I have ever heard. The waiter tells me it will take the kid 2 years to perfect his skills, are you kidding me. I don't have 2 years, just an hr or so. I did give the waiter a 10.00 tip cause he's not the cook and the owner needs to get a handle on quailty or lower his prices for low quality food. Long John Silvers taste much better. I'll Go there next time. Just because it's a bakery, does not mean you can bake.

Joey Purczynski

Great pretzels would recommend A LOT!!

Maris Myers

The salespersons are so great, I got to taste something before I bought it, so many delicious options, always new items and seasonal.

Dr Chuckie

What a great place to meet friends for great conversation and a meal. Nice warm apmisfer, great food, great service. A GREAT bakery to pick some fresh baked bread or sweets.

Angelique Pirrotta

Awesome local hidden gem. 10/10

Taylor Bartz

Delicious. Amazingly friendly staff. Good anytime time of day. Moderately priced for super high quality food. Awesome pizza. Baked goods that will blow your mind. Great coffee. Can be busy on a Sunday morning but well worth any wait. Definitely a favorite.

Kathy Kovar

This place is awesome! The pizza is great! I don't know what to say about the soft pretzels, but you never had a soft pretzel that tasted this good in your life. And the breakfast is out of this world. You won't be disappointed.

David Rudd

Extensive breakfast menu done right.

Kelly Bartashnick

Best bake goods around!

Linda Stafford

This is one of my favorite places to buy delicious breads and amazing desserts and so much more.

Brooke Morris

Best chocolate chip scone I've ever had!

Marc Curtis

I have been here multiple times over the years. After repeated trips of poor service this will be the last time. We continued to tolerate the horrible service because the food was good. Today we put in our name, waited, name called, then waited while the older woman then turned to help someone else, we waited, then she answered the phone, we waited. Then she called our name again. Walked us part the way to the table and asked the hostess to seat us. Which she did. We patiently waited for our server to show up. Waited long enough that we knew what we wanted to drink, eat and think about desert. No server. Another table was seated and the older woman took the time to explain the menu to them. Ask if they had any questions. Then their server showed up and asked if they wanted anything to drink. We waited. And waited. Then decided to leave. On our way out the older woman came basically chasing us down asking what she had done wrong in an accusing tone. When I told her that the service was horrible. That the service has been horrible for a long time and nothing seems to change. She was taken aback and acted as if I was wrong. She said sorry with a tone and I told her there is not point in being sorry for something you have been doing for years and won’t change.

4 of us met for brunch this morning. We were seated quickly. Ordered immediately. Coffee came in a timely fashion. Order took 25 minutes....1 quiche, 1 omelette, 2 orders of pancakes. Pancakes and omelette were cold...silverware came AFTER we received our food. Couple across from us were still sitting waiting for their food too. The restaurant was not busy. Disappointed.

This is a very unique place, it has a lot of charm. They have a decent food menu and I really like they offer a variety of coffee drinks. The scones, pretzels and pizzas are my favorite items they make. The desserts are good. I have found they aren’t overwhelming sweet. For some this may be a negative, and others a positive.
