I've been to many times in my life. I can say without any hesitation the food is great. There are a number of items that are elite. I can also say with equal certainty that the service has NEVER been satisfactory. The lady's in here are allergic to friendly greetings, eye contact, smiling, saying thanks, or even acknowledging your presence while waiting in line. Made to feel like I'm a huge inconvenience despite the fact I only purchase a six pack of sub buns and needed zero help with anything other than paying. Why would you employ people that hate their job this much? Are they your bakers? If so, can you maybe keep their sullen rear ends in the kitchen and hire people who understand basic customer service. Too late for me. Won't be back.

I normally don't eat doughnuts and the like since I'm trying to watch my weight, but when I do decide to treat myself I like to come here. The doughnuts have a nice, crisp taste to them that helps them stand out more and are just well made. Staff is friendly as well as helpful

The BEST Cannolis in Michigan. I have tried others and have actually sent them back. I have yet to find any place that makes a better cannoli in MI. Nothing compares to Tringalis cannolis!

I purchased a Cassata cake for my daughters birthday here. When we took the cake out of the box it was lopsided. Half of the bottom layer of cake was missing which was filled in with extremely sweet frosting. As we cut the cake more there were pieces missing all along the edges, which were filled in with frosting (over 50% of the cake was frosting). We called the bakery the same day and they said we had to call the next day to speak to the owner. We took pictures of the cake and saved the rest of the cake for the next day so we could take the cake up to the bakery to show the owners. When we called the next day the owners were not there again and we needed to call when they were there (this was Sunday) so we had to wait until Tuesday because they were closed on Monday. After discussing this with the owner, he told me I was making up stories. I asked him if he would like to see the pictures of the cake and he said no he needed to see the cake. I explained to him that we ate the cake. The owner was very rude. I told him I will not buy anything there again, he said good I do not need customers like you. I was not looking for anything free, I was just looking for an apology and to make him aware of what happened.

Well I have to say this is one of the worst box of doughnuts I have ever received . I do not go to this place , someone brings these to my work once a week and they always go in the trash . They are by far the craziest and nastiest doughnut things I have ever eaten or seen. But this is crazy . I wasn’t going to ever write a review but when I opened this box I about threw up . Not 1 thing in the box looked good.

I stopped by to purchase donuts on 12/21/17, waited in line for 10 minutes and the line still hadn't moved so I left with the thought order donuts ahead of time and pick them up the next day for my team. I did exactly that, took everyone's specific order and placed an order to be picked up at 7:30 am or so. I came back on 12/22/17 waited in line for 20 minutes exactly only for the lady to tell me the lost my order. The only solution she offered was to put an order together with the donuts they had currently, which was not the donuts I ordered. She didn't seem too concerned with the loss. HIGH DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Best European pastries. Cannoli, Napoleon,etc. I wish I found this place sooner. Prices are very reasonable. Taste of Europe in Detroit. They also have a deli, which I didn't get around to. Variety is unbelievable. One of my favorites that I tried is called Peaches, spectacular pastries, piece of heaven.

Incredibly disappointed by the chemicals in their bread ***Edited in response to response from the owner- Considering they have been baking since 1958, I would expect them to know what should and should NOT be in flour. Potassium Bromate (banned in several countries) Azodicarbonamide (another controversial "food additive" with wide-spread bans across the globe). Those additives are used in "commercial" bread production eg mass produced grocery store brands & fast food breads- I would think a local bakery wouldn't reduce itself to using such dough conditioners and keep things purer and wholesome. Those ingredients certainly aren't in any flour I've ever used. I'm also fully aware that Riboflavin, Thiamine, etc are the vitamins/minerals present in enriched flour(s). I was never questioning those ingredients. Perhaps it would serve Tringali's to do an Internet search of their own to see just exactly what Potassium Bromate and Azodicarbonamide are and find another flour to bake with. The fact those additives are in their bread, I would suspect they are using the same flour for other baked goods as well- cookies, pies, pastries and alike. To anyone reading this, despite (potentially) never having a problem before and now knowing what those ingredients are, ask yourself "Would YOU be willing to feed your family/children food with those ingredients in it"? As for elaborating on the hours/dates, it's been well over a year, possibly two, but I certainly know it wasn't a Monday; I remember leaving a message about it one of the times, but never heard anything back.*** I've been craving their crusty and chewy bread for the longest time, but after several attempts to go within thirty minutes after they opened, only to find the doors locked, I gave up. Fast-forward to today, as I was driving by, they were actually open when they were supposed to be. I bought two loaves of their Italian Bread hoping to get the taste I haven't had in years only to find a structure like cheap store-bought breads. The ingredient list on the bags used to read: flour, water, yeast, salt- it was REAL bread. Now, the ingredient list reads like a science experiment; so much fake garbage that has no place in fresh bread is in this bakery's bread. A "bakery" that can't manage to make REAL, fresh bread- Tringali's Fakery

It’s a really popular place, so don’t be cranky just because you have to wait in line. It’s an awesome bakery. Staff is always friendly and helpful in my experience. I’ve ordered eclairs, cream puffs, Italian cookies, cannolis, a birthday cake, etc and never had an issue with quality. It’s all been delicious and fairly priced.

We picked up our cassata cake Friday , I was never so embarrassed when I opened the box and saw how terrible the decorating was . Then as I cut into the cake there was hardly any cassata filling. Who puts a layer of frosting in the middle with cassata cream ??? Absolutely the worst cake I have ever eaten . Not sure who owns this bakery but they cannot be Italian ! Sad part is I will never see my 38.00 ?
