REVIEWS OF Shatila Bakery IN Michigan

Arif M

Great tasting desserts, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The place is perfect if you have a sweet tooth. Only reason it's not a five star for me is because it's hard to tell what the names of the desserts are and their prices. …

Natasa Antik

Bad customer service... you wait 30 min to get a cake everybody skip the line

Roshan Thomas

The staff was very arrogant, rude and worst experience.

Ronald Ricardo

Good. Very good. The pastry does not overwhelm with sweetness but is intricate in flavors. In good middle eastern style, deserts are heavily loaded with nuts. This is a spot that is very popular with the locals. Since Lebanon is heavily influenced by the French, you will notice a lot of French styled pastries here also. Have some coffee with your sweets though. Good touch.

ALI ALR

I used the website to order Ramadan special baklava with shipping to Alabama. My sister really loved it.

Moe A

We ordered online two different products that were shipped to two different places. The products were shipped, however the recipients did not know who sent the products. Our note was not included in either order. The shipping tracking number was not sent to us, we had to email Shatila and ask for the tracking number. They need to work on communation and their shipping process. In terms of the actual products, they do a good job. In terms of the ordering and shipping experience they need improvement.

Nour Al-Shurafa

Worth the drive from Ontario just to have Middle eastern desserts. The homemade pistachio ice-cream is amazing and they have a variety of desserts and french gâteau!

Dan El Ayache

Desert and coffees are good and the place has a good vibe. They need to monitor cleanliness a bit harder of bathrooms and seating areas

Max Selene

Came here because of the reputation but received the worst service ever, so dry, no smiles, bought 40 bucks worth of sweets for them to be old and management didnt care when I called them about it.

Sravani Ch

Fresh and delicious sweets with genuine prices! They have sugar free baklawa too. Their Jalebi’s tastes so good! Love their Vanilla Fruit cake to eat without any regrets.

Vincey C

The cream filling had a slight sour taste and my stomach hurt after I ate some. Customer service was not great. The girls behind the counter were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than to their customers. The girl that was boxing up my pastries acted like I was inconveniencing her and wanted to finish helping me as soon as possible so that she could go back to chatting with her friends. She either couldn't hear me or ignored me when I asked her question. Stay away from the French pastries....they look good but must sit on the shelf for a long time. The Baklava was very good though, which is what they're known for.

Mark Ebach

Ice cream is great, desserts are phenomenal. Coffee is not. The mocha tasted like the gas station cappuccino.

Binosche Khan

Best baklavas I ever had inside USA. I love sugar free ones too. Their Turkish coffee was heavenly.

Ahmed Khiari

Great collection of ice cream and Arabic pastry.

Scott Cherry

Very popular and exotic place for desserts, ice cream and coffee. It's wonderful!

Mariela Trejo

Delicious pastries, terrible customer service. You are met with nasty attitudes, they get mad at you because they don’t understand you.

Miskath Laskar

I got one coffee cake tonight i spend $45 and cake tayste was like real bad .

Jeff Miller

Always a great experience and even heading there this evening!!

Haley Zahradnik

Cool place, awesome pastries. Great if you want something other than just a cake.

Heather Miller

I always enjoy coming here. The prices on the pastries make for an inexpensive date with my husband (however, the cost of the ice cream and cakes can add up). We often bring visitors from out of town here, and there is always something for everyone, including some sugar-free and vegan options. The smoothies are delicious. In the mood for ice cream? They have it. Baklava is seriously second to none. There are even delicious savory items on the menu, in case you're not in the mood for something sweet. The pastries are truly jaw-dropping works of art and always result in oohs and aaahs from first-time visitors. With so many beautiful options, it can be overwhelming to make a decision! With that said, I feel the need to address some of the complaints I've read in reviews about customer service and their "take a number" system. I recommend that as soon as you enter, take note of how busy they are. If they are not very busy, don't take a number...look at all the display cases, take your time, decide what you want and then ask one of the employees to help you. If they are very busy, take a number right away and then make your decisions. I have always found the employees to be very helpful in answering questions, but you do have to make sure they clearly understand what you are asking for or about, especially when they are busy, as it can be noisy and they are in a hurry to help everyone. I've found them to really try to get your order right, but you have to make an intentional effort to be sure they understand what you are asking, and watch closely to what they grab for you, as the pastries are very close together in the display cases. Also, listen closely for your number to be yelled or keep a close watch on the monitor during busy times, as they rush through them if no one responds right away. Also, whether your party is small or large, it is much less confusing if you all work with the same employee to assist you in your selections (I mean if there is only one person paying). One other word of caution, if you like chocolate but not mocha, make sure you ASK if there is any mocha flavoring before you make your selection. I am personally not a mocha fan, and some of the beautiful, chocolatey-looking sweets are really mocha, so I always ask first if I'm unsure. The chocolate bool is amazing! The dining area is just as beautiful and impressive as the desserts. Overall, this really is a place you must visit at least once. I think you'll be back.

Tom Hammond

Absolutely amazing. The greatest freshest deserts. Try their ice cream, it is awesome. Buy the ice cream tub, well worth it. I hope these guys will open a second location or relocate to Mich ave.

Ibrahim Osman

Good famous place for Middle Eastern/Lebanese/French pastries, sweets, cakes, & many variety of deserts.

Harini Lingamgunta

ONE OF THE BEST MEDITTEREANEAN, middle EASTTT BAKERIES. IVE BEEN TO LIKE EVER.. HAVIN LIVED JN Chicago & TORONTO UNCOMPARABLE.. NEBER FOUND NE THING CLOSE TO THIS.. IT WAS ALWAYS MINE N MA FAMILIES FAVORITE GO TO middle EASTERN BAKERY SPOT SINCE I WAS A KIDDD... HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ALL LOCALS N TOURISTS N NICE SELECTION IF SWEETS N FRENCH PASTRIESSS!!

Ibrahim Altamimi

We drove 3 hours to experience some authentic Arabic desert. We found a clean beautiful building that looked great but the customer service was absolutely awful. We waited 45 mins to order and 30 more mins to get our desert and while we were waiting to pay they told us it was cash only. I ended up having to leave and go to the atm and come back. When I complained, the employee told me that we are welcome to leave. Extremely disappointed that I made the drive, I would recommend everyone to go elsewhere in Dearborn.

Ibrahim Darzi

Arguably the best middle eastern sweets in the country.

Rafay Zamir

Have tried kanafah, baklava and ice cream here, all really good. Don't miss out on the pistachio flavored ice cream. the place is always very busy.

Arshad Ali

Best place to try middle eastern sweets, Baklava and Kanafa is the best. if you are in that area you must give it a try, you will love it.

Sarah Schoner

Interesting collection of desserts. Didn't care for the taste of what we bought. Nothing is labelled as to what it is or how much it is which is frustrating. Service is very rushed so they don't want to tell you what everything is.

Fahad Ali

Great selection of sweets, especially their pistachio and mango ice creams. Also, give a try to their sugar cane juice with a hint of ginger and lemon juice, freshly pressed and delicious.

Ali Reza

Great place. Love their pistachio ice cream.

Paul Lagrosa

Had high expectations because it's so famous. Bought a holiday tin - haven't opened it yet as I'm waiting to share with friends. However I also tried their teramisu (misspelled) - it was okay, not great. Also got their Mango Mousse - horrible. Cake was dry and the mousse was like a dessicated foam plastic devoid of flavor. Had to throw it out. I'm sure the bakery is normally very good, but my experience was horrible. Also, the place was overcrowded with no seating available and people reserving tables while their family is elsewhere. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

Nicholas Gabriel

What can I say. This place is awesome. Great selection of Mediterranean sweets. Their cake Baker is an absolute artist. I've never seen such amazing cakes. It's like you went to heaven and asked to see their cakes!

Diana Guzman

The place was full of people & you have to take a number to be served. They have beautiful & delicious french & middle eastern sweets. As well as meat and cheese pies, ice cream and coffees. My server did not speak english so we struggled a bit finding out the contents of the pastry; but at last, when we did sit to enjoy our picks in the cafe, we were very pleased. We always return to this favorite cafe.

Tareq Tayeh

Came here for the first time late at night, where my experience was a mix of positives and negatives. I found the knafe, katayef, and basboosa to be very average, but their baklavas and mafrooke were excellent. It's a huge bakery though with lots of seatings inside.

Ahmad Aboubaker

I came with my wife we order ménage name from the store close to the Lebanease council the menaces on top was terrible the cheese was hard and the coffe supposed to be Turkish they did on machine . U call your self Muslims you need to learn Kalamazoo tru lslam from the American the kaffer end of the the day they take there food and give it to the poor and the next day they start fresh the manager was defending her actions by putting the kenafa in microwave for too long which tills you it was old. And the manger instead of apologizing she went arguing defending her old kenafa . It was waist of our money and time we will never come back

Niki Reddie

Love their middle eastern sweets, they are so addictive. Fingers sweet is my favorite one. In the pastries i like pistachio cream cake.

Pritam Chavhan

Great bakery for big celebration cakes and lot of varieties for pastries but some needed to chosen wisely!

Mohammed Al-Tameemi

Wonderful place and people.. one of the best sweets

Raquel Zwick

Best pastries, coffee, smoothies, and ice cream. Lovely place for a date.

Jack Lyn

I'm so disgusted by this establishment and the staff. First of all, the staff here are rude They yell out the numbers and skip customers..there is no communication because of the glass barrier between the staff and customers. I don't want to EVER come here again.

Wassim Subie

Festive and fun place with lots of sugar junkies looking for their next fix.

karansingh patil

Tons of delicious Middle East sweets and pastries. Super famous for delicious cakes. Best thing is you can sit and eat there. People visit all d time during d whole day. We can celebrate bddays as well.

vasel bojaj

Great job amazing work very satisfied..thank you

Hasan Hasan

I hate how the never label the price. This is really stupid. I just sometimes get frustrated because I don't want to keep asking how much everything is, especially if someone is asking me to do it for them. I end up leaving. Other than that, Nice place and good service.

Beautiful JuJu

I have been to this place several times with family, it has a wide selection of middle eastern pastries and desserts

Arun Chopra

Special birthday cakes

Heather Truax

Great selection of delicious desserts. Ok service, counters are so high, it’s hard to understand when ordering.

Mike Joseph

everything looks great and amazing but it doesn't taste that good or usually dry , i gave 1 star for their icecream.

Det3ctive Conan

Looks gorgeous but tastes really horibble. I got a gorgeous pre-made cake. When I cut into the cake, It had only half an inch of cake and two inches of butter cream. Most of their pastries lack flavor as well. This was a $37 cake. Waste of money. Service is slow and hectic.

sekaran nc

Mind boggling variety of sweets, amazing. You get confused as to what you want to order. Difficult to understand what the dish is and staff also not very helpful. Taste is superb. Pastries and cheesecake were also too good. The Turkish coffee pot is also to be tried. Its nice. But the regular coffee and tea were really bad. Ice creams and juices are good too. But one major drawback in this crowded place is the restrooms. Could not enter. This needs proper attention.

dan danny

So went there to get some sweets waited in line that like 10 people before me I placed my order got my stuff walked out then I remember something that I should get but I forgot so I walked back in and they where already 10 befor me..I went to the cashier and told I was just here and forgot to get one more thing, she told me with very bad attitude and showing off like she is gavin me the sweet for free and said "u have to take a number and wait in line again" and that's nother 15 minutes inside to get my one little thing that I forgot to order while I was there..will absolutely never go back..

D Sunshine

We have to stop at this place every time we visit from Minnesota. Excellent desserts and drinks. We love it here!

Takiyah Parker

Endless options of delicious treats!

Sarah Gadsby

This has to be the best bakery in Michigan. We drove from Bad Axe Michigan to get some of the best cake ever.

Alex

This place is fantastic! For everyone who has a sweet tooth - it is a paradise of a place! Make sure to get a number first to secure your spot in the line. I honestly haven’t seen such a selection of middle eastern pastries and desserts in my entire life. Frankly, we were overwhelmed with choices and it was very tempting to try everything! They also selll French pastures and desserts. Too bad we stayed in Detroit only for one weekend, otherwise I’d spend my life here. Everything we tried was very delicious! Bakers of this place should represent at the Great British Baking show!

Hana B

Great sweets. Hoot service.

Halima Abdulbasir

I won't say that I'm not going back, but I wouldn't travel far to go there. The baklava is great and the bakery is spacious and relaxing. The knafa is good, but Masri Sweets beats them on knafa taste and it also seems more fresh than Shatila's. The "French" pastries are beautifully decorated but what worth they maintain in beauty, they are lacking in taste. I found the pastries to be dry and taste slightly stale, like they had been previously frozen and thawed. They also have a gross, chemically after taste. I have tried many different varieties and found them all to provide quite the same experience. I went in a few times with different friends from out of town and they have been equally disappointed in the pastries but found the atmosphere to be pleasant. They have ice cream as well, which is pretty good. It is a cute place to hang out with the family or friends if you're local. The ladies behind the counter have been rude and I have also heard this from other friends and associates who have visited. It could be that they're simply too busy and focused, but I don't find their service to be warm or friendly at all. I think they're big enough now that they don't really have to care about these things and may not change, but I would be so happy if they did.

John Salisz

Great little Oasis of delightful desserts. Filled with families having treats. Reminded me of Mike's in Boston.

Mary Rascol

I purchased a cake today for my brothers birthday at shatila.... I come home to cut it and not notice or anyone else when they handed it to me, from the kid who took it out of display or the lady who wrote the birthday sign to find that a disgusting nasty molded fungus raspberry fruit is sitting right on top of the cake!!! They told me it was made fresh today!!! So the person that put those freshly fruit on there “today” did not notice a molded fruit???!!!! The owner of the place could not even offer a refund without the receipt as well even after my family and I ate out of a molded unfresh Cake. He had the decency to ask me for a receipt after I witnessed what they sell customers!!!!! I really hope people look very closely at what they buy from there from now on....I never write reviews but this is disgusting and people need to know as well what kind of place this is! Photos are attached for everyone to see for themselves

Mo Mo

Great deserts ! My favorites were the baklava and some other sort with glazed nuts.

Zainab Chaaban

They get creative with their sweets. Clean and very inviting. I love taking my daughter there when we are in the area.

vamshi krishna

Awesome sweets and great selection of cakes and pastries

Habz 19

Everything is good, but the store is always full

Ali

Service is always great. The food tastes amazing especially their pistachio ice cream. Every single bite has a spoon full of pistachios. I will definitely come back here.

Nashwan Nahab

Great place for a very authentic ice cream and baklava

Ahmed Syed

Their middle eastern sweets are great! The cheesecake is my personal favorite out of the more western menu.

anthony isa

My helper was kind and very helpful I live in Indiana and whenever I can we love going there

Dawser Naman

I liked shatila before they change their recipe or their ingredients source. Their kunafa was very delicious all their kinds, but know the taste is terrible. I think they change the fat or the cheese kind because there is something wrong. I don't know about other desserts if they still good or not. My issue is with Kunafa. Please, return it as before.

FoFo kahn

Awesome place for hanging out for coffee or little sweets

syed ali

Good variety of Arabic/ middle eastern sweets. I always try their kunafa and baklava. They have a section of cakes and pastries. They also have icecream, coffee and shakes on the other side of the store.

Annis M

Prices are reasonable, quality is outstanding, eat-in dining area available.

harish v

If you have sweet tooth then it a paradise for you. Lot of Options to choice and you will be confused as everything looks appetizing . Good Service and Friendly Staff . Free Parking Available.Try the Kinafa for sure.

Danielle Grondin

Take a number when you arrive. The lines move fast and the service is quick. Well staffed. Huge selection.

Jordan Grnak

The only dessert place you'll ever need. Offering a wide array of middle eastern and french desserts. Not only are the desserts mouth watering but the aesthetics of the building and the inside, with the lights and the floral arrangements make this place a must see.

Eagle Gourmet

love this place. can't say enough good things about this local middle eastern bakery. the owner is a super nice fellow and portions are generous for the money. this baklava is not all filo dough and corn syrup...this is the real thing with lots of nuts and fillings. plenty of variety...walnuts, pistachios, date, custard, cheese fillings and a great variety of ethnic sweets. the savory pies this guy makes are amazing too. meat pies and spinach and cheese pies make a great and affordable lunch. this place is worth a visit and after trying it you will be back.

Megan Langford

This place has a great selection of desserts. My husband's usually gets baklava whole I go for a French pastry. Their cakes are amazing too!

Sandra Billingsley

This bakery had something for every sweet tooth. Mediterranean, French, and ice cream! The decor is beautiful and we're live to stop here when in Dearborn.

Fakhir Jamil

Brilliant Arabic sweet delicacies in Detroit. It's like being in an Arab land but you are in Michigan. I loved the sugar free pistachio and family loved the traditional sweets. A must cost if you are in this area.

Sonia A

Overall an okay experience. To start off service was not that great... although there are numbers theh seem to serve as they wish. As there are an overwhelming number of options and with my lack of knowledge on sweets. The lady behind the counter didnt make any useful recommendations. I ordered a bunch of random sweets that just looked like they would taste good. Some did... while others not so much... location was packed! There were no spots to sit so had to huddle and run the second a chair got empty. They have a juice/ice cream bar attached where i ordered pomegrenate juice Can confirm that was definetly tasty! Although the place was bustling and busy.... the lack of service and comfort made this expereince hard to enjoy. Also only one bathroom which was extremely dirty.... would not recommend using it.... .

Nabeel Nasir

One of the finest middle eastern desert places in all of North America. They have 5 star baklawa and pastries. Equally impressive is their ice cream, which is out of this world (try the pistachio one). They also offer their own branded ice cream tubs which is pretty cool. Plenty of space inside and outside, however the crowds pick up from 4pm until late at night. If you’re in Detroit/Dearborn visiting, Shatila is a must visit.

Zeena Whayeb

The icecream and sweets are amazing. They have a lot of icecream choices, from pistachio to cherry. I've also tried some other sweets. They have very sugary stuff to mild. There's something for everyone. It's a good and relaxing place, but …

Nathan Wiehe

This place is amazing, the variety of options to choose from ranges from Middle Eastern deserts, to French pastries all the way to ice cream. It is hard to choose what to pick because there are so many options to choose from. The service was great and there are a lot of places to sit and eat your delicacies.

Susana Thieke

I made the Mistake to go there today on Mother's Day and it was super crowded , we took a Number and it was 58 and they were serving #8 and for 15 min it didn't move to #9. It took a long time to order. I really dislike that there is only one Restroom, I took my daughter to use the bathroom and in two minutes we were there , they kept knocking on the door after we just told them it was occupied, very Annoying. I like all the different options they have, but be aware that nothing has a price tag so you don't know how much you are paying. The Staff is not that Friendly, for me is like they know how popular the place is and the attitude is like they are doing you the Favor. I live in Royal oak and even though it was fun to go check it out the place , I am not driving back again.

Debisree Ray

You would feel amazed to be here, if you have a sweet tooth like me. A middle eastern sweet shop to offer thousands of various sweets, cakes and pastries and ice cream. To start with, let me tell the procedure. I arrived in the evening and it was very crowded. So you have to collect a token and wait until your number is called. Then you go with the token and tell the server lady what you want. And then you pay. We got a trouble. Being outsider ( non middle eastern I mean), I did not know the name for everything. So we had trouble to tell them what we want ( not to mention the accent difference etc). It was busy hour and we wanted so many different stuffs. After struggling a while, we managed to plate them all. Next, we heard that they were taking only cash ( because their system broke down or something happened I don’t know)!!! Luckily one of us had the cash to save the mission! We bought a lot of sweets ( check images) and the entire order was worth of 26$ only. Now, I was disheartened with the kanafeh. I have had much better elsewhere. This one was dry and not tasty. But rest of the things - Baklava, pistachio baklava, layered busbusa, Turkish delight, and another one ( dunno the name, appears like white foamy subtle flavoured cloud like, topped with nuts and nuts) were simply extraordinary. With so many varieties of sweets, if you feel to have something savoury, they have meat pie/cheese pie/ spinach pie to offer. We ate the meat pie which was the absolute yum. I forgot to buy some for my home. But this is a must visit if you love to eat desserts and sweets and you are around.

Deep Khajanchi

Too much delicious varieties in cakes and pastries.

Stacey Dogonski

I cannot fault Shatilas for it's crappy clientele. 90% of the people that frequent this place have ZERO idea on how to actually drive, park, enter or exit the parking lot. As busy as it is inside, a great job is done by the staff and their food and pastries are amazing. Beautiful and delicious.

Husaini Syed

Best desserts in town. Lots of staff to keep the lines moving. Something for everyone to enjoy. Clean facility and plenty of parking. Make it a must stop on your trip to Detroit area.

Owais Ahmed

Horrible customer service. I went there quite few times and it seems they are racist towards Pakistani and Indians

Nolan Robinson

Excellent Middle-Eastern and European pastries

Mustafa AlQaysi

Best pomegranate juice!!

Anandhi Chandran

Wide selection of cakes, pastries, baklava and ice cream. The place is always buzzing. Great place to sit and eat, people watch. Not all cakes are great, some of them leave an artificial flavor taste. But most are great. Baklava of course is delicious. They serve sugarcane juice!

Russell Plummer

This is one of the best bakeries in the Metro area. Not only can you get the taste of Lebanese sweets but also decedent French pastries and homemade ice cream. I highly recommend the lady fingers or birds nests and the strawberry ice cream!! Definitely a place to try if you haven't yet.

Awad al-ghazali

I've wanted to visit this bakery for a long time ago but I didn't have the chance but this time I went there and got amazed with the pastries they serve like the baklava and stuffed sweet cheese and theirs homemade Belgium chocolate it's just crazy it makes the taste buds go wild and what you should try is the baklava fingers as they call it and the pastry filled with pistachios with the sweet syrup and they do serve their own icecream brand

Marlana Martinez

This place is so good the only disappointment is that I've gone the 1st 30 years without such deliciousness in my life. Everything I have tried has been incredible. I'm quite partial to the cheese filled and sugar glazed treats. The cheesecake and chocolate gummies are amazing too.

Shams Chowdhury

Great Mediterranean sweet and pastry shop in Michigan. Great taste. Nice interior. Small parking in front of this shop. Helpful employees.

Swiftly Sonali

I loved how sweets weren't too sweet and taste is just perfect. Thank you

Maria A

By far one of best places to buy sweets. I stopped off and bought baklava and maamoul sweets and it was delicious and fresh. I was impressed that I even bought a tray to go.

Drew Ansley

Great baked goods, milkshakes, smoothies, Turkish coffee. Good environment. Power supply available, but no wifi for those trying to get some work done.

Abdullah Khan

Make sure to grab a number and then take your time ogling all the desserts. Both European and middle eastern sweets are amazing. Haven't tried the ice cream or drinks yet.

Ramadan Elsharif

Lovely place to have very delusions Mediterranean Sweets. The taste of the Baklava is unbelievable.

Julian Roque

Too many desserts to choose from. What I got was delicious. An amazing bakery.

Samieyra Standish

Always so good the best of all the bakery's around Dearborn should be a few in every state

Jimmy Johnson

Fast even though I was 20 down on my number.

saad ahmad

We have better places to eat in Toronto, but for the hype and for what it is worth I give it a 4 star....good Buklawa and Pistachio ice cream. Friendly place to have a seat to people watch...i hear its a must when in Dearborn. Go see for yourself.

Jessica Warfield

I love this place, I had to get my birthday dessert

Vickie Looker

An absolutely amazing bakery! It was not only beautiful, the baked goods were delicious. I highly recommend it!

Fatima Hazemy

Horrible customer service. It was dead when I went and the girls were chatting with one another and no one was asking if I needed help. I had to walk over to the register for her to call one of the employees who were just having a casual conversation. This used to be my favorite sweet spot. Guess I need to take my business elsewhere...

Dog Party

Upscale desert place. Friendly fun atmosphere. Great selection.

elo puff

I have been to Shatila Bakery four times. The place is usually clean and neat. However employees are mismanaged, give an attitude and are exceptionally impolite. On my last visit I asked for ice-cream in a bigger cup with a lid and the girl behind the counter went off on me. The manager told her to give it to me. While she made it she continued to be hostile and belligerent. This is not the first time for me, but will be the last... of being disappointed over and over again from rude and impolite employees.

Yethiraj Datta Chamarthi

Great pastries and they do have vegan cakes as well. Love the fresh fruit juices here. Definitely recommend! Friendly staff suggest pastries and items and they were good. Reasonable prices as well.

Phuong Tran

A wonderful bakery shop!

RAM IT

Very good Bakery and have too many varieties

Adrian Muratalla

Came in search for a cake to celebrate a siblings' birthday. Found a good selection of pastries and good service. Would recommend to others

Mrudang Patel

Excellent ice-cream. We ordered banana split boat icecream and it was excellent and also was cheap in price as compared to other placed

Jae B

Wish more items were labeled, as some of them are difficult to know what they are. Okay pricing, pretty good desserts, good selection.

David Drößler

Great concept with awesome staff and delicious baked goods. First you draw a number, while you wait to be called on you can look at their wide selection of delicious Middle Eastern deserts and French pastries. Everything is really …

Sara Amin

Come ready to be in love!! This place was made for sweet lovers!! The atmosphere is soothing. Really really recommend this place to ALL The boxes of sweets are even cheaper and fresh!!

Anuj Maloo

Great place for Mid-Eastern delicacies. However, I wish they had name tags for every sweet on display. For a new-comer, it becomes overwhelming to decide what to order. You will also get freshly squeezed sugar-cane juice among other things. A must check out place though.

starkitty2332

the french side isn’t amazing, but the middle eastern side is phenomenal! cheese crossiant is my favorite

James Dougherty

Everything here is delicious. I always have very good customer service also.

Muhammad Moosa

MOHAMMED MOHAMMEDY

Best Baklava's Courteous Counter Staff Real Fast / Quick to Cater to Customers Request

Rubu Rahman

One of the best place in MI to get cakes, pastries and baklava.

Jasmine Jones

The place was clean and the sugar free candy is good

Josh Fater

Though the customer service is lacking (most of the more European businesses are) the pastries are phenomenal! I've been coming here for year's!

H M

Great items and service. You’ll find a variety of sweets, from cakes and ice cream to plenty of Arab desserts. They’re not overly sweet either with just the right amount of everything. Only downside is that this place can get very very busy on a regular day, and for any special holidays, it’s unbelievably busy. They move quickly and provide numbers for waiting in line so it is more organized. My advice would be to call the night before and place in a phone order when you know a holiday is taking place. This way, you can walk in, pick up your order and save a lot of time.

Christina Harper

Was a total disappointment I order my cake days in advance and when it was time to pick it up my cake wasn’t ready so they had me waiting for a half an hour so they can put the cake together so when they gave it to me it was beautiful!! But once I got it home and know that I’m a baker and I know how fragile a cake can be so when I walked it to my car it was very carefully I mean who’s walks recklessly with a cake they paid for and so anyway I got it home and it slide over... so I called them and they was very rude with me needless to say I’ll be making my own cakes cause if my cake was done promptly on time cause they ask you what time you want your cake right it couldn’t set in the fridge cause they rushed it!! you have to refrigerate cakes so they can set mines didn’t in which that’s why it slide to the side. Won’t be getting anything from them I’ve learned!!! Very rude on the phone so I’m good on them!!

Timothy Hirabayashi

This was a wonderland of Mid-Eastern pastries and desert goodies. There was an astounding variety of pastries that are a treat for my sweet tooth. Also, I was surprised to see they had ice cream, which I tried. The coconut ice cream was terrific with little pieces of coconut mixed in.

Very friendly people that work there plenty of Middle Eastern pastries to pick from. They can box up what ever you get if you have a long travel home (which I did) and it was well wrapped. I just went down the line pointing at what looked good and for the couple things I have tried so fare, it's awesome.

Love the lady fingers and knafeh with cream. Service is hit or miss depending on who is helping you. Reasonable prices. DON’T FORGET TO PICK NUMBER TO GET HELP WITH YOUR ORDER.

The sweets were not as good as i expected. Some were dry. 6 different employees kept asking me if I was ready to order. I didn't like that because I was still deciding. But it's not too bad. The ice cream was good and it's a beautiful and clean place. It's not amazing but I would go there again.

What a complete disappointment. Flew in Detroit and Was looking forward to buying authentic Arabic sweats that I was used to growing up. One of the purchases turned out to old and refrigerated for God knows how long!!! Tastes nothing like the real thing. Not worth the hype at all. The server had very limited background about the items being ordered. We ended up dumping everything in the trash.

I love this place.. I have ordered from them a few times.. they do an awesome job packing their products to ensure a safe arrival. Every thing I've bought has been delicious. Keep up the great work everyone. My only wish is you had a location in Minnesota. One day ... Inshallah.

Delicious pastries and huge variety of items! I've tried most things at one time or another. My favorite is the chocolate pyramid. Their kunafa is good but not as good as Masri sweets. Their ice cream is delicious and made in house. Pistachio is the best!

Kelli B

Always love the little cakes and sweets my son is very picky and doesn't care for traditional buttercream frosting so this place is perfect..so many options..they are pretty busy all the time so ease be prepared to wait a couple mins

My first time eating here. Not bad at all. The Turkish coffee was amazing, took a bit of getting used to, but very good. Took home three boxes filled all kinds of goodies. The lady who took our order was very nice too.

Debi Neal

My friend brought some of these beautiful and delicious desserts to a gathering. I keep hoping to shop here myself. Also, tell others about these amazing desserts.

Amazing. Worth the trip. Large and quite beautiful bakery with the best baklava we've tasted. They ship it, too! We drove in from Livonia twice this week because everyone gobbled up the baklava so quickly. Outstanding!

Nazrana Nidhat

Shatila did my wedding 4 tier cake and it was delicious. Every guest was pleased with the taste. Ahmad helped me ordering this cake and did an excellent customer service as promised. Will recommend my friends and family.

Ordered a King Cake for Shatila Bakeryv & my Birthday and will definitely be ordering one next year! The cake was delicious and very fresh! Loved the ambiance of the bakery itself and everyone I talked to to ensure a King Cake was reserved for me was very helpful and nice. I'll definitely be back in to try some of the other baked goods.

I wish I give 0 for them,so rude Pastry chef.My son’s Birthday cake was not done properly. Instead of my cake order,he made his own and the taste of the cake was not good at all.

Not situated in the best of neighborhoods and people park do like imbeciles in the parking lot. The overall ambience and quality inside is good but disorganized staff and long wait times are pretty much the norm from what I could see. The ticketing system is a joke and people cut in all the time. However, it was well kept and clean inside and had plenty of tables. The food and quality seems to be what attracts people to this place but honestly a very poorly managed bakery.

Amazing baked goods and ice cream

Jess Nune

The place is beautiful it smells great and appears welcoming however employees (2girls) made snarky looks when asked for something. Also the cake I purchased was extremely dry as though it had been sitting out for a few days and tasted terrible like rotten. Upsetting because I had given it to my 1 & 3 year olds.

Hyder Baqir

Always good and prices are great

Took a worst decision to go there. Horrible customer service..

Blue Berry

Arfan ali

Ali Jawad

J lopez

The best dessert and pistachio ice cream

Kishore Asokan

Was a really nice place to sit and eat some tasty french and middle eastern pastries. Ambience was good.

Sarah Dettloff

I like going here because the atmosphere is fun and unique. However the service is fairly poor. I have often had my number called only to have a teenage girl wave me over only to continue her conversation with her coworker and ignore me for a good 5 minutes before and during my order. I have also received stale pastry and sweets here on occasion. Really hit or miss!

Hawrah Gold

The reason why I gave them a three star is because of their bathroom. There was nothing accessible for infant diaper changing. Neither was there any hanger that I can hang my bag. It was not clean and I ended up leaving without using it

Joe S

Best pistachio ice cream around Fabulous value

Alfredo Herrera

Sexy and delicious

Moby

I ordered a 4 tier wedding cake and the manager was very nice and made the cake look much better than I asked for and they delivered on time. The cake was delicious!!!! Thanks alot!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
