Food is good service was usually really good, but the low stars for the fact that you can no longer get dinner here since they have changed their hours. This is a huge disappointment. The Cobb salad and Mac n cheese we're amazing and I loved taking baked goods home after dinner for the next morning.

Excellent! Hard to know what else to say! If you enjoy high quality baked goods this is a must! NOTE: I am editing my review. The reason for the edit is because of Crust charging an additional three percent fee for people who use credit cards. I spoke to the manager on Monday of this past week about this after noticing it referenced in another review. I checked my receipt and found it on mine also. He told me that they would review the matter and their Wednesday managers meeting and get back with me. He did not. My review was a five star review based on the quality of goods and I still feel the same way. But no one likes to be nicked for an additional fee at the cash register.

Crust has an awesome selection of baked goods, as well as sorbet, coffee, and a restaurant. They have a delicious selection of classic baked goods, and also a rotating selection of new items. I love their spinach&feta croissant from their bakery, and their crepes Florentine from the restaurant section is the best I've ever had.

I had Quiche w rosemary potatoes and salad. Quiche and potatoes were very good. Saladwas served with olive oil and salt, a bit of a surprise. Waitress said it was served that way so i asked for some balsalmic vinaigrette. When she brought me the balsalmic she explained that they normally charged extra for the dressing ?!?! Server was very nice. Place was clean. A little pricey, but i thought reasonable considering serving size...pretty chintzy about having to pay extra for dressing...of course if you prefer salt and olive oil......

Food is good and shows some imagination and staff is friendly, but slow to get to the table after being seated (only waited 15 minutes to be seated). This is my second visit and I brought my wife this time and we ate there. I spent $65+ dollars there both visits. I did not realize on the first visit that I was being charged an extra 3% for using a credit card, so bring enough cash! They stopped serving their pie a la mode (see line drawn through it on dessert menu) and require a full serving of gelato to be ordered. We find it hard to believe they cannot come up with a $1.00 serving for their pies and decided not to get them. We arrived just after noon on Saturday and they were out of a number of items and ran out of more while we ate, so if you see something you like, grab it. I know they want to use up their inventory while it is fresh, but cannot wonder how much more they could sell, if they were not using supply side economics? We did try a few other things and they were OK, but some of them we will not get again. Chocolate cake was very good! Cheers

Second time to crust, first time since the addition. Love what they did. The bartender was amazing friendly and super helpful and seemed to really enjoy his craft. Waiter was excellent and friendly. The food was good as well. I got the egg cheese and ham biscuit with side of home fries. The home fries were amazing probably best I've had. The biscuit was good, I think a cheddar cheese over the Swiss cheese would have knocked it outta the park, still an in the park Homer is we want to stick to the metaphor. Overall good experience, I would recommend and would like to try again.

Hard a a rock breads, it's all CRUST. Zero quality, over priced, inedible. Betty Crocker brownies are 1000x better and you can buy 3 boxes for the cost of a marginal brownie. Inconsiderate staff and clueless owners. Do NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere! Crust is known for its unique offerings, especially baked goods and the sandwiches made from them. Do not miss their locally famous peanut cup and jelly doughnut! Yum! They also do twists on well-known recipes. For instance, the traditional lox bagel has become a bagel with lox, cream cheese, sliced cucumber and radish. While I still prefer tomato and onion on mine, it's a fun twist. Excellent service.

One of the best places I have ever eaten! Everything I put in my mouth was delicious!!! I had the special of the day and tried their spinach and artichoke soup (to die for)! We often get their specialty Donuts throughout the summer and bring them camping, we cut them up into several small pieces and share them with friends and have a test tasting of sorts! I went the other day for lunch for the first time and had an amazing server named Jermaine! I even called and let the manager know how exceptional he was as a server! I will be a repeat customer for sure!

There was definitely a wait for lunch on a Tuesday, and service was not very fast. The food is great and not cheap, in cost or presentation and crafting: you're certainly getting what you pay for, it's very good. I will say, a loaf of sourdough is $5.75ish which makes the cost of the soda at over $3 seem a bit much. We really enjoyed the American Berry Smoothie, Ham, Cheese & Egg biscuit, and the Tortellini. Very good portions and very great flavors. Cute little bistro with a great deal of character in beautiful historic Fenton.

Over crowded and simply not run efficiently in the front a lack of manner by visitors makes being served difficult. The breads are nice and seem to have an old style to them.I would like to try more but am hesitant to go back.

It's difficult to make a large selection of goods and still have a high quality but somehow Crust manages it. If you're looking for good coffee, bread, ice cream, sweets, drinks, or food this place as it all. It's a large space where you can sit down and eat or just grab something to go. Great quality, well priced, and delicious. They even have samples and special sales. I'll definitely be coming back anytime I am in the area.

My son and his girlfriend discovered Crust in Fenton, MI, after being informed at a nearby restaurant that it would be an hour wait. They had an excellent experience with great food and insisted we join them during their next visit. We obliged, and not only did we have great service, we had great food. My wife and I said this is one of those hidden gems of a local town we would love to find on trip elsewhere and it's in our own backyard. If you live nearby or live elsewhere and are within your driving limits of trying new places, then visit Crust because you will be totally satisfied!

When we got seated I was surprised at how many open tables there were. Seems like they need more staff to handle the popularity.

Stopped in and bought a lemon blueberry coffee cake. Very disappointed. The cake was very dry, blueberries all settled at the bottom, too sweet, and had an overpowering taste of vanilla. Very little lemon flavor.

Fantastic Place I try to visit every Sunday. I love the sourdough bread and cream cheese danish.The host Jack is very friendly and provides excellent service. Avery, Katelyn or Molly often greet me when I come in for the bakery and help me find what I am looking for. The rest of the staff is efficient and quite friendly. I recommend you come in and try a taste of Fenton.

YUMMO!!!! I brought a difficult client of mine here for a breakfast meeting. To say the least my client was impressed. The coffee was excellent. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Glad to have a place like Crust here in Fenton. Great to see Crust expand and thrive. This is a reminder to me that visit Crust more often. I would highly recommend. If you have an issue talk to their owner, they will make it right. Crust is worth the visit!

Our meal was delicious; fish and chips, boring right? Definitely not! Not when it's lightly battered halibut served with chef-made tartar sauce and steak fries, all prepared with the Crust touch. Pilar was most attentive and anticipated our every need with grace and humor.

Hands down the best bakery I've ever been to. Stellar pastries, breads, coffee, and light meals. Everything about the bakery part is fantastic but I didn't have a good experience with the restaurant part. My meal portion was ridiculously small (the shrimp scampi was a tiny wad of pasta the size of my palm and only 4 regular sized shrimp) for over $13. My husband's meal was also mediocre for the high price. I had to wait 15 min longer than I was told my order would be ready for pick up in the very crowded bar section. I would still highly recommend Crust, but just be aware of the issues with the restaurant part since it's kind of a new thing for them.

I came in 2/17/2019 and bought some pastries and a lady named Jamie helped me. She was so polite and sweet and so helpful towards every question I asked. She suggested that I try the bread of the month.. I bought a loaf and it was AMAZING. She made my first crust experience AWESOME! I love Crust !!! Thanks Jamie for being so helpful!!!

Great bakery with large selection of baked goods. Had the brioche donut, chocolate chip cookies, and ham and cheese croissant. Didn’t try the coffee but definitely will be making a visit soon to get more goodies and try the coffee. The place was busy when we went at noon but we were in and out within 5 mins.

Absolutely delicious!! Look..you are going to pay a decent sum for what you get. But what you get is so worth it! The pies/cakes/cookies and bread's are wonderful to have and I really enjoy the convince of being able to walk in and pick up what I want instead of having to shuffle around in the French Laundry (yeah..not gonna call it "the Laundry") while waiters and customers move around me. It was good, but expensive! I had a bagel with egg and bacon, some home fries and oj and it was $20! Yikes! *Also note that they do charge a 3% service charge if you use your CC*. To me that is a no no. Not a place I would take the kids due to the cost, but it was nice. Atmosphere certainly isn't a $20 breakfast place, but it was cozy and comfy. The baked goods selection was fabulous.

Heard great things & really wanted to like this place. Excited to go for Mother's Day brunch. So not worth the money & not planning to go back. The bread & whip cream are really good. Everything else just ok to kinda good but with a pricey tag. Mother's day brunch only had 4 main items & still so very very slow, not to mention disorganized. Server seemed clueless & overwhelmed. Also not sure why they would have booths by the bakery & before the main dinning. Lines right by the tables. Will not be back.

Worst customer service ever. It took a long time to take our order, long time to get food and long time to pay. Our waitress didn’t even give us knives and forks. We took it from another empty table. She dropped the bill while passing without saying anything and disappeared for a long time. We went to the front of the store to pay but they said no, the waitress HAS to take care of it. The food is good but I don’t think I will ever go there again. Also, they charged 3% to use a credit card on the bill before we even paid, without even knowing the method of payment. CC companies charge businesses a percentage for the convenience of not handling cash—decreased risk of theft. So why are they passing it on to their customers? So disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The Crust produces Excellent Bread and sweet Goodies! I most enjoy the selection of Unique Breads you produce, as well as cookies with sea salt. It is my recommendation to anyone if they are near by. I once recommended it to a lady from England that was enjoying lunch at The Laundry

I generally enjoy my trips to The Crust. I wish they had “simpler” bakery and menu items. For instance, I wish I could go and just get a regular donut from there but that isn’t an option. You have to get their fancy swing on a donut instead. What they do offer is usually pretty good. Although my last visit I got the soup of the day which happened to be some form of a “loaded potato soup”. Instead of just doing a regular, home style potato soup they appeared to have literally puréed it. I had two bites of it and was less than impressed. Still ended up paying for it, although I had only had two bites. Sometimes simpler is just better.

Bakery was amazing!! I got a mini wavy cake and it is to die for!!! Nicole helped me out and she was such a sweetheart! So helpful and really knew her stuff which I wish I could say the same for the restaurant. Got seated for lunch host was very nice! I wish the server (Paige) would have been a little more knowledgeable about the questions that I asked. She did an okay job waiting on us but could have been a little bit more friendlier as she was rude at times. All and all I would try again and hope for a better server!

Restaurant wasn’t busy despite a busy downtown on a Saturday night. Food and service were amazing! Since breads are the specialty I think it was my fault for getting veggie lasagna that was good, just super heavy on the cheese (and I love cheese). Ravioli were perfectly cooked and definitely a splittable portion. We’ll definitely be back! Order your baked goods and they’ll bring them to the table & add it to your bill. (This lets you skip the line if they’re busy! It’s a great concept). The restaurant has drinks and beer. It seems more like a cafeteria though which may be the reason they didn’t have a big crowd?

I'm an African-American female and my mom and I decided to visit this place today. Once there we were not assisted. We walked in and no one greeted us however the two Caucasians who walked in after us received plenty assistance. Once these guys left two more came in and they too received assistance. In the meantime my mom and I are still waiting. At this point I asked my mom had she noticed that no one is assisting us....she began to pay attention. She purchased something that was already packaged so all she had to do was grab and go whereas I wanted something from behind the counter. At this point I'm the only one who's in need of assistance and I'm watching the gal package goodies for another customer. Anyway another customer comes in and she heads straight for him..."may I help you" and he goes "yes but she was here before me" finally someone noticed me, someone notices that I'm standing there, notices that I'm waiting to be helped. I explained to her that I'd been there far too long not to had been acknowledged and for her to assist everyone who came in after me. You should've heard her ridiculous excuse. She asked..."may I help you" NOPE! P.s. the employee left the counter (crying) and the lady who was on the register rushed to assist the man who acknowledged that I was before him....what's wrong with that picture?!

Poor quality control. I got avocado all on my carseat and pants because it was smashed to the bottom outside of the box. A 3% card fee is not clearly posted where you would normally look.... how about putting it in bold on the screen that they flip around that blatantly asks for a tip? .Greedy. Overpriced. Sloppy. Unfriendly expieience. Molasses cookies are supposed be soft and chewey not hard and crumbly. $17 club sandwich tasted like wallmart lunchmeat and stale chips. Beware,they charge a 3% charge card fee. This is deliberately and deceptively concealed in the bakery. When I finally realized they were doing this I inquired about why it wasn't posted in the bakery. They post this on the lower corner of the entrance door completely out of your normal point of sight. With the overpriced charges on their baked goods I am disgusted by this arrogant deception. Completely customer unfriendly.

Amazing bakery, stellar bread, and delectable pastries make Crust a special destination or a regular stop. Their bread is our #1 choice (any variety!) week after week! The restaurant add-on has a ways to go to catch up: interesting ideas combined with snail paced service and incorrect lukewarm orders. My family and I came into crust for breakfast. It was by far one the the best expirences I have had at a restaurant in a long time!!! Food was excellent, atmosphere was nice, and our server (Felicia) was fantastic! We cannot wait till the next time we visit crust! (I suggest the bread pudding French toast!!! It was to die for ugh!!!)

The food is great! However the last 4 visits the service has been severely lacking, order missing stuff, time to table is long and then the order is wrong with nothing done to make the mistake corrected. I love the crust, but haven't been in now for over a month hoping staffing will shift some.

Have been here 4 times to get cinnamon rolls, always get extra icing. The fifth time we went, we were told they don't sell extra icing. I told the lady we were able to get the last four times. She replied they have never done it. We won't be going back.

Food was good, service was good, menu a tad limited for MY liking. Would suggest you try as prices are reasonable, and we really went specifically for breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner also.
