We hired Woodlea Bakery based on reputation. We took our only daughter in 3 weeks prior to our event to design her cake. We talked to the family and felt really safe knowing that cake would be perfect. So yesterday I called the bakery around 2pm to verify that the cake would be delivered at 5pm one hour before the party and was told that everything was set. I set up a dessert table with lights, tulle, candles, flowers and in the center would be her beautiful cake. I had to wait for the cake to add the fresh ferns so that it could circle the cake. By 5:30 no cake. I called the bakery and was told the driver just left. I indicated he had to reach us before 6pm and she said based on our location he should make it. As anyone knows guest always arrive early so at 5:45 the family began to show up and head toward the bar where our dessert table was and reference the fact that there was not a cake. At 6pm my husband called the bakery again to find out where the cake was because most of our guest were already there. Finally 6:05 the cake arrives. Everyone took notice that this man is walking past them with our cake that my daughter chose the day she worked on the design and color scheme with the owners. People were shocked that the cake had arrived late, they all stated the cake always arrives before the guest. When they asked who were the bakers I told them. Oh and the fresh ferns that I wanted to decorate with put away as people were arriving because we didn't want to have a box laying about so in the hustle I forgot about them. When my daughter came over to the table to blow out her candles she asked where was the greenery like in the picture she saw online??? This was a formal event, we had the best and used the best services so it wasn't a low end party. We expected the best but from the bakery we did not receive the best. I was disappointed. So if you order a cake from them go get it yourself. I should have! I called this morning to speak to Charles and was informed that he would not be back in until Tuesday and I would have to speak with her. This is the same person who confirmed my cake would arrive on time last night so she is the last person that i want to speak to right now-and she had the nerve to catch an attitude with me. Thanks any way.

Used to visit this bakery as a child. Had fond memories. Disappointed that on a Sunday morning their donuts were stale. We had several different kinds between several of us and they were all stale. My sister bought their delicious peach cake and it was still yummy. Everyone was very friendly. Looked cleaned.

Staff is very friendly. Our waiter was awesome. I don't recall his name but he was very friendly. The pizza is really good and the cheesy bread is also really good. The lunch combo is a good deal for the money as well. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

I've been to this bakery many times and never had anything that was not delicious. I've also _never_ seen the staff show any true rudeness. Casual, yes, rude, no. But I have seen customers being rude to staff, and I have seen customers being quite rude to each other, and on one occasion I saw a staff person intervene; in a way that could, possibly, be considered rude; when, on a very busy day the customer on customer rudeness was slowing down the customer service. And that, I saw as a courtesy to the rest of us.

I love this place! I have ordered donuts, pecan pie and more. My favorite to order is their Strawberry Shortcake. I order at least 4 half of sheet, double layer, strawberry shortcakes a year. Woodlea Bakery is a neighborhood gem and I am happy to support it. The staff is pure Baltimore, you get what you give. I walk in happy, I walk out happy. They are always helpful and answer all my questions.

Horrible. First time visit to the Bel Air store. The sales lady was actually mean to me. I was asking what the different pastries were because nothing is labeled. I had to point because they were not in a case in the front...they were in cases on the wall. She kept telling me that I would have to do a better job pointing. Huh??? I told her that it was my first time there....she looked at me like she didn't understand. No response like... welcome. Just a very poor sales person. On top of that that items were horrible. Poor excuse if Italian bread. Pastries were stale! Sorry....the local Weiss Market is better.

Went to Woodlea Bakery to place an order for 20 cupcakes. I was told $5.00 a cupcake, $100.00!!!!! They have become extremely expensive. There is no way I was giving them a $100.00 for cupcakes. Woodlea Bakery made our wedding cake in September (yellow cake, strawberry filling, butter cream icing. Do yourself a favor and try it!) They were incredibly friendly and provided wonderful service. They designed our cake exactly how we requested. Our cake was delivered and set up promptly and professionally. Not to mention the fact that this is the most delicious cake I've ever tasted. Outstanding job all around. I highly recommend Woodlea Bakery. (P.S. Also try their peach cake. It's outstanding!)
