This place simply knows how to serve their customers. Consistently with a very kind attitude. The food is fairly priced, always fresh and clean.
I like their variety of pastries and desserts. My feeling was like I am diving into the sweet wanderlust world. Coffee drinks are okay because the employees are not skilled with coffee specialty drinks but not barista...
Excellent.
Went there with my son and the rude a** lady had no customer service. My son said "excuse me ma'am" and her reply was "what". No thanks! Goodbye!
They make the best King cake I have ever tasted--even better than those I tried while living in France.
Delicious
Go-to spot in Bethesda! Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food!!
The food is not bad, but nothing special. I ordered the eggs benedict and the food came out nearly cold. The smoked salmon is too salty. The coffee was very light. I could see the bottom of my cup when I had 1/4 of a cup left. Tastes like some cheap folgers or something...There were also grinds in the bottom of my cup. The potatoes were greasy and bland. Overall the food wasn't awful, but you can definitely get much better in Bethesda for the price.
Excellent Coc Au Vin delicious desert the wine is fine the coffee good
In addition to its amazing pastries, Praline has the best Carrot Soup ever. Ask to see if it is on the menu. If it is, buy a quart to bring home too
Excellent Customer Service and Amazing/ Delicious Cakes. Definitely recommend them for any personalized cakes.
Best croissants in the area! The bakery's prices match the quality, everything is fresh and delicious
Am a regular. Great food. The pastry shop downstairs is also awesome.

One of our favorite places for any meal. Generally excellent food and a quiet and relaxing environment. Good service in a lovely setting. Wonderful buckwheat crepes, salads, pattiserie, and wine selection. Some of the food is too salty (e.g., the smoked salmon), but otherwise no complaints. Enjoy!
Great cakes and a nice Cafe. The cakes are expensive but worth it.
everything is so yummy. We love it.
Having recently returned from Paris and feeling extremely homesick for it, this place was like finding home within home. Everything is fait maison (made in house) I had the macaroons, a chocolate croissant, cafe au lait, mushroom crepe with salad. Everything tasted like it did in France. The service was superb, the atmosphere utterly lovely. The macaroons were great, not "extraordinary", however I am comparing them to the renowned macaroons of Pierre Hermes in Paris, which is rather unfair. Coming back for more!
This establishment should be shut down. There was mold on my meal to go box, and I’m not talking like a small amount I mean the whole thing was covered with mold. I almost broke my tooth on the baguette, it seemed like it must’ve been about 6 days old. On top of all of this, when I brought it to the managers attention she was completely dismissive and incredibly rude.
Best macarons and really great option for catering. We had their coffee and cake delivered for a birthday party.
My steak was rare as per the order however it was tough and lacked flavor, my daughter's drink order was not as expected. There's a lot good here though: salads, lamb stew and their desserts are delicious
I've been going to Praline for years We love this place specially when we can be in the patio area. Sadly, we were there past Oct. 10th, celebrating my son's birthday, we ordered the Charcuterie and Cheese, the Beef Bourginon, and other items and we realized there was a hair in the butter! when it was almost gone, meaning the hair was very deep in butter, we told our server, he just say sorry, then when I asked for the check, I realized they didn't make any discount for the bad moment, I ask the server to call the manager, manager came, and I told her what happened, she said she didn't know. server didn't inform her, and then she was like, "I'm so sorry, thank you for letting me know!" I don't know, maybe I was expecting too much??
Great desserts! Try the truffle cake.
My wife and I tried the prosciutto sandwich, tomato soup, pecan raisin danish, and hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back to try more of the incredibly delicious looking pastries.
A surprisingly great little touch of Paris tucked away in a residential area of Bethesda/Chevy Chase. Really delicious experience, and it sits on top of a scrumptious French bakery. You will not be disappointed.
Simply heavenly and devine goodness. Beautiful store and every treat is presented as little tasty pieces of art. I love this gem. A bit pricey, but I don't mind paying for quality.
Great food and great service
Excellent brunch! Great variety, delicious food and attentive service.
We've been there last weekend and we definitely want come back, the bakery was delicious.
Omg food is amazing!!!
This place shares the space of a cafe thatvwasnt quite open but I was thankful for Praline and their delicious vegetable quiche. Mango and pistachio macaroons were amazing. I give them 4 stars because they weren't very sustainable. I was dining in and they offered everything with plastic. I politely asked for silverware and they did grab me some. Just imagine all the plastic they could save if they used reusable silverware and mugs. Just something to consider. They also have a beautiful location near the Wharf. I preferred that location to this one.
they have some amazing backed good here. wish i could have them bake my wedding cake. that would be so awesome if they could! totally love this place
A little taste of Europe, great food, great pastry, good coffee
Nice
Beware of shady staff here. We were told in the bistro area that croissants were sold out and we could go to the downstairs bakery and choose a separate pastry. Downstairs, the bakery staff had let us know we could just take the plate of our pastry upstairs and we could then pay as part of our total bill. Once the bill was received at the end, all pastries were double the price of what they were in the bakery. When we asked why this was the case, a waitress came out and told us “Well that’s what the price is in the bistro”. A separate waiter came out and gave us a menu which we hadn’t seen before which showed the higher prices. The staff proceeded to do nothing about the price and were laughing at us by the POS system. A shame that such incompetent and inconsiderate staff are running a bakery which has potential - just overall really shady customer service.
My family usually gets cakes here for dinner parties. Ample selection and delicious baked goods
A beautiful, quiet brunch spot. My friend and I popped in for brunch after a hike at Great Falls. She had the smoked salmon branch crêpe with crème fraîche (not pictured) and I had the homemade chicken pot pie (pictured). The pot pie was perfect comfort food, it had mushrooms and peas and carrots in addition to fresh roasted chicken. We also had dessert from the bakery downstairs. She had a orange marmalade crêpe (not pictured) and I had a crunch bar that has different players with hazelnut and wafers (pictured).
Best pastries
Pastry's are pretty small servings compared to other french bakery's...would go else where...pastry's taste good..typically what you would expect else where..
Food is amazing and as is the service. If you're a fan of pot pies, praline's is definitely one to try!
Great cakes and coffee.
A nice place for brunch
Pastries are delicious. Cozy place. $$
Little over price than average shop. I am not satisfied with the quality i find little extra soggy.
Don't be surprised. It's pink. Very pink! The staff our courteous. There is a decent selection of cafe beverages including iced tea and coffee. Cafe seating downstairs and outside.
Seven of us had a birthday luncheon yesterday.. the server was great and so was the food. It was lovely...all had a good time.
Tried out Praline for the Thanksgiving, found a new favorite. Turkey galantine was delicious and the wife's rockfish had perfect crispy skin. All pies were delicious. Ended up ordering a second entree because it was all so good and I wanted leftovers, took home the amazing chicken pot pie, a dish they make with love for every ingredient. I finished it off before midnight. So darn good and the staff was lovely.
Good
A hidden gem! Made our anniversary perfect!
This is an extremely special restaurant experience. Let me begin by speaking of the service here. Praline distinguishes itself with its service. However now let's talk about the quality of the food which is of a very very high level. At the top where your seated outside is a great carryover to the high-quality of the food. We've been here several times and the food is always been very very good. All in all this is a restaurant you must visit however don't visit it too often. We don't want it to get too popular.
Both Bistro and Bakery are top notch. Some entrees can be a little pricey, but quality is excellent, and serving sizes are generous. Also, the dessert menu is to die for! Definitely need reservations Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday Brunch.
Customer service is extremely poor at the bistro section. The were out of croissants so told us we could go downstairs to the bakery to pick out another pastry - we picked a tart that was listed as ~$3 and brought it back upstairs ourself to the bistro. When the final bill came we were charged $7 for the tart - nobody told us of the 100% upcharge to serve our own food. Even the waitress said she did not know of the price difference, however the manager just laughed and said that's the price we need to pay. We would have definitely come back to this restaurant otherwise, but not after this poor customer service experience.
This remains one of my favorite local restaurants. The food is consistently delicious. The servers are attentive and friendly. An added bonus is the expansive dining terrace. Most tables have a wide umbrella which is always nice on sunny days. Do go. You will not be disappointed!
Praline is a bit of a hidden gem. It's in a strip mall near Glen Echo. The food is French, and it's great. Everything we ate was well prepared and the portions are a good size. Desserts are a specialty of the house and something you don't want to miss! Service is friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed but nice. They also have a pretty rooftop for outdoor seating. Well worth a visit!
Oh man their croissants are the best thing on the planet, and I am seriously picky. So happy they're opening up a location in Fairfax.
Great place. Love the bakery
Excellant bakery good food in restaurant.
@praline_bakery what happened to the size of the brioche? Still delicious, same price but SO much smaller.
Slow service, good food
Delicious pastries!! Almost like Paris
Everything is great but too expensive
Authentic delicious French food .nice size Outside patio. Downstairs is the bakery and upstairs is the restaurant. Nice list of wine .
We spent 3 weeks in the east of USA and we made a stop at this Bakery shop! The best we made during all ours holidays... We are very pleased to see that people are fan of their job! A beautiful shop, best welcoming and products hand made of very high quality!! Thank's for this moment!
We went to Praline for our lunch today. It was shortly after 11 am so we were the first customers. We ordered coffee and tea and two Vegetarian sandwiched along with french fries for me and salad on the side for my friend. Food arrived and I started eating the french fries. I realized immediately it was stale. It was reheated french fries with freshly salted. I decided not to say anything and tried to eat the sandwich. When I touched the sandwich, I realized that the bread was staled too! It was rock hard and they reheated the bread on the pan so it became so hard. There was no way we could eat them and not break our teeth. I went to the staff and told them the bread was staled and so hard we couldn't eat it. The hostess said that the bread was baked in the morning! Who would believe that? They said that they will make them again. There was only excuses but no apology! We went back to our seat but we decided to just leave. So we tried pay for the tea and coffee and it took them at least 10 minutes to give us the change! In all, we wasted our precious lunch time with really bad food and service and wasted money for the tea we did not even drink! Not only the food was bad but the service was even worse. I live in the neighborhood and I believe in the quality of neighborhood restaurant. I don't come to the bistro as often as I come to the Praline bakery but serving hard rock french bread to their very first customer of the day was really bad! And the way the staff handled the situation was so poor! It will take me sometime to get over this and use this restaurant again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
The quiche Lorraine is to DIE FOR! Also, exceptional service
good food.
Great bakery and excellent neighborhood restaurant!
Food is delicious (and overpriced).
Scallops and funghi risotto were both delicious, nice service and affordable.
It's a fantastic spot if you appreciate things like the subtly of a perfectly flaky pastry.
Went late afternoon on a Saturday. Only menu was brunch...new management? Everything average...but nice space.
Always wanted to try this place..... awesome food and the staff excellent Be careful though make reservations with 5 or more
Neighborhood favorite
This was truly a breath taking experience! My friends and I got something different and shared and love every bit of it! Then got some to take home! This is a repeat!!!❤️
Awesome little bakery hidden in Bethesda, I come here all the time. Quite a gem, really amazing pastries and quality food is served upstairs in the restaurants. Where they really excell is in their cakes. I have yet to find another bakery that can match the kind of work they can produce.
Excellent brunch! I went here alone, got the Eggs Benedict and a coffee, and I was very impressed. Probably better than most brunches in Georgetown even.
I absolutely love this bakery. They are so well-crafted and you cannot go wrong with whatever you select. They are fresh and delicious.
