You know that we don't usually stop to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Bakery corresponds to the category of Bakery.
This bakery is one of the best I have tried. Their croissant are very tasty, moist and buttery. It’s located at a convenient location at a shopping center. Place is clean, has table for those who want to dine in. Services is great and staff is friendly. The price is even cheaper than some bakery I have been too where it wasn’t as tasty. Place is busy on saturdays.
Picked up a selection of croissants for a friend of mine who had surgery. Wasn't so happy with them..slightly over cooked, bottoms had a bit of burn, which wasn't great since I was taking them as a gift! lot of selection, and easy to get to, but service was done with out a smile, and croissants weren't great!
LOCATION AT 8810 BROOKVILLE IN SILVER SPRING IS NOT A RETAIL BAKERY. Just an FYI for people like me. A very nice woman who shares the space explained that it's an industrial kitchen, and that I was her 8th person today looking for it. The website does have a pop-up saying they're open for pickup & delivery, but I didn't realize they meant ONLY that, and you order 2 days in advance. Pictures on this listing are from past locations. Looks like they're opening a new retail space in Bethesda soon though!
Amazing quality. If you have never been, absolutely worth the drive. The pastries and cakes are works of art.
I’ve had the croissant with Almond and the double espresso latte and both were amazing, the place is really nice and the service is excellent :)
This french cafe/bakery has lots of fresh baked bread and sweets. I got quiche and a few sweets and she loved it.
The pastry there is really of quality.
I don't remember ever having been here.
Very nice people but the steak sandwich was made with SteakUms..Definitely was not expecting that !!!
Best bakery in DMV everything taste oh my goodness!! Chef is a master French training!!
Love it, exactly like French bakery, I love their macarons...delicious. Thier cakes are so perfect you just want to frame it. What I love the most, it is not too sweet like the retail cakes. I know it because I used to eat real french food. The service is great too and they are awesome....I will recommend it...
Best pastries and coffee shop in the area by far. High-end pastries and Illy Coffee is just a little part of what they offer. Their cakes are just out of these world. Worth the trip from anywhere in Montgomery county.
Muy ricooo y con total franqueza lo recomiendo excelente.
I love this place. Everything that I have tried has been delicious. I haven't visited on the weekends so I am not sure if it gets crowded or not. My usuals are the beef empanadas and the creme brulee tart...
The best place around! Coffee, pastries and the French baguettes are delicious.
Wow wow yum yum yum
We're regular customers of Patisserie Manuel and we've purchased bread, pastry and cakes. It's all good, not just good but quite exceptional. Our latest purchase included the Rouge white chocolate mousse, which was beautiful and just delightful.
Waiting at this moment for the BLT in brioche. Yesterday I tried the Quiche Lorraine. It was hands down the best I have tasted on this side of the Atlantic. Creamy tasty filling and the pastry was perfection. I have also tried the croissants which are likewise excellent. Croissants that don't need warming to be appreciated.
Spectacular desserts
Love, love, love this Patisserie. Best pastries ever. I am particularly fond of croissants and these are outstanding, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The almond croissants are to die for. We buy all of our cakes here, and again, the variety is amazing. I especially love the Opera Cake, and the strawberry cake. And, we have to buy a baguette at least once a week. This little jewel of a shop feels like we are stepping home every time we visit. The owners and staff are welcoming and friendly, helpful to the Nth degree and always happy. So glad to have a spot like Patisserie Manuel in our neighborhood! I'd give them more stars if it were possible.
The tiramisu I bought for 5$ was mostly just cream with a tiny bit of cake at the center. The cake was good and the cream tasted alright - but was disappointed overall.
Fantastic croissants, great cakes, tiramisu... pretty much fantastic all around. Great service, too. Pleasant atmosphere and food in an unexpected place - makes the area more appealing all by itself.
Delicious pastry and sandwich. Even the bottled water is good. Cozy atmosphere.
I ordered my birthday cake here it was delicious I was in an accident and they waiting for me for over an hour because of snow I was in accident with my uber driver I really love this place everybody please go down and order a cake for your kids your family or your friends. Merci bcoup
Wonderful pastry shop. Delicious, clean & staff is very friendly!
Let’s start with the server placing the utensils on the table without any napkins around them. We had the Florentine and the churrasco. Churrasco bread was microwaved, it kept on getting hard as it sat on the table waiting for the second dish. The Florentine was good ...I’d say , well it’s my first ever so I don’t know how it could potentially taste ?!
Really love visiting Patisserie Manuel bakery! High quality bakery with friendly and professional customer service to match their great products.
My favorite cafe in MoCo! The spinach feta croissants are so good that my significant other bought the remaining 9 (most will be frozen for future indulgence). Definitely try their desserts! The coffee isn't too shabby either ;)
The food here is not cheap - we spent over $20 - but everything was disappointing. We came on a Saturday morning, but everything was days old and stale. We bought macarons, which had obviously been sitting in the display case for days, as they were hard. They cost $2 each. The French baguette we bought was rock hard and disgustingly stale. The empanadas taste fine, but do not have enough filling to be worth $5.
Great find! I stopped at the shopping center and wasn’t expecting a French Bakery. Beautiful case full of pastries and a selection of cook to order brunch items and coffee. I just had the peach danish and it was tasty, not too sweet. I will definitely go back and try more of their pastries. Great outdoor patio, too.
Good service. Canelé are good every time! Nothing like it in the immediate area.
Delightful neighborhood spot serving French breads, pastries, expresso drinks plus emanates made daily. I would love it if they would move to my block!
Croque Madame was excellent. Macaroons were delicious.
Coming back, and I'm bringing all my friends.
Came late afternoon on a Saturday, couldn't find Starbucks so glad! The coffee was wonderful the pastries delicious, and the service was great!
Come for the patisseries!
4th of July. Went there @8:05 for our first time to enjoy a croissant and cafe creme and to reminisce about our Paris trip, but found instead a sign stating they’d be opening at 9am rather than 8am. On a day when locals would most likely be able to stop by early, these changed hours were an unfortunate missed opportunity to gain new customers. Hope to try again someday. Viva la France for helping our American revolution.
Love this place... Chilean born French pastry/ dessert chef... super friendly staff and, of course, fantastic foods and desserts! Patisserie Manuel definitely ups the culinary game at Plaza Del Mercado..
Really great Tiramisu here. It is pricey (like most good bakeries), but it's an amazing treat if you can afford it.
Empanadas!
Arrived here for Breakfast about 5 minutes before they opened. When they opened the counter lady, Bette, was extremely warm and welcoming with a big authentic smile and good morning in a beautiful French accent. I had the Croque Madame which was excellent. I looked at the pastries but the croissants looked very very dark and I don't like my croissant to get flakes all over me so I did not try. The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere warm and friendly and inviting. They had gentle jazz music playing in the background and everyone I saw eating had big smiles on their faces.
Best and most authentic French Bakery in town! Love everything!
Pricey, unorganized and not very tasty!!
The expresso is great and pastry superb.
I am a huge fan of macarons and there is another French bakery I go to, to get them. I saw this bakery near my house and thought I would give their macarons a try. Macarons are not easy to make and they don’t have a very long shelf life when made from scratch. The macarons I received we’re hard and crumbly and $1.95 a piece (more expensive than what I pay for at another bakery, tout de sweet). The woman was extremely nice and was very welcoming but these macarons are not worth the asking price and could be made better.
Wonderful pastries!
Excellent patisserie! Excellent customer service! Beautiful presentation! This is a great place to get a little piece of France!
The best real French pastries in the area! Love this place.
Great Food and pastries!! Enjoyed visiting!!
I love it on sundays mornings
The lady I met here this morning when I went to buy a pastry sandwich and a cup of coffee, who I believe is the manager or the Baker is absolutely rude, disrespectful and a complete racist! After I paid about $11 for a cup of coffee and a pastry sandwich, I noticed that my cup of coffee wasn't full. I asked politely if she could please top off the cup for me, which would probably come out to maybe 2 tablespoons of coffee literally. She looked at me with so much disgust and rudely said she should charge me for this. I was confused, and asked for what? For 2 tablespoons of coffee? Are you serious? She answered yes! So I asked how much, so I can pay for the 2 tablespoonfuls....Then she rolled her eyes at me with that disgust again and asked me to leave. I was so shocked at her reaction that I told her to have her sandwich and the coffee and my MONEY while I walk over to Starbucks. She went on to chatter rude & disrespectful comments while I walked off. I will never step foot in hereagain and advise you to spend your hard earned money somewhere else other than here because this woman has no sense of respect nor decent customer service and I'm convinced she's a hateful individual
Me and my fiancé we keep coming back again and again and again! The new barista is fantastic! Good service and Melanie knows her products, is welcoming and loves to make her clients HAPPY!!!
Get the rouge cake. Just unbelievably good.
Today was my first time coming in and it was Franck's (According to the receipt) first day as well. Wow. He was splendid. He not only brought out our food hot, he brought us napkins and sugar when I asked if there was sugar! I was prepared to walk there myself but he really blew me away with the service. First day or not, he's a keeper Patisserie Manuel! I'll definitely be coming back for the Macarons and breakfast again next time!
Their food is excellent. Finest ingredients, prepared properly.
Traditional Chilean empanadas are so tasty! I am so happy to have found a place that makes them. Everything I've tried has been exceptionally good including the pastries and crepes.
Pretty and clean
Almond croissant was perfection. Iced latte was strong and well made. We went mid afternoon and the lights were off which was a bit odd. Very slow service and they were out of multiple items on the menu.
Thanks!
Nice, clean, cozy ambiance, good food and service. We love this place for breakfast. Been her several times and never disappointed.
Their macrons are great
Great find.
I absolutely love this place!!!!
Excellent crossiants, good espresso. Baguette is above average, but not remarkable.
Delicious baked goods. Looking fwd to trying brunch.
I SPEACIALLY love their coffe and awsome pastry!
We ordered my son's cake here for his birthday party and it was a hit. Everyone commented on how delicious it was (we ordered the Cuatro Leches). Lina took our order, she was very kind.
The best croissants in the DMV. So many soft chewy layers full of buttery goodness. Crisp on the outside and very dense on the inside. Skip the empenadas, too much breading but the filling does have raisin! The macaroons taste pretty similar to other macaroons. The buy 3 get 1 free is likely only available on weekdays
Great varities of macaroons and pastries love it!!
The woman who helped me was super friendly and helpful. Crossiant, coffee, and dessert were all very delicious! I would definitely recommend coming here!
I'd say this is the best French bakery in or around this neighborhood. I always get at least one sleeve of macaroons when I leave plus one or two of the multitude of cakes and pastries they have on display. It seems like they always have a different selection when I stop by, which is awesome. Definitely a place that is bad for the waistline but great for the soul.
Spied this bakery driving and so glad I stopped in. Staff very friendly and helpful, plus display cases full of pastries. Got the chocolate croissant and ham and cheese and bot were top notch. Would go again to eat my weight
Everything is delicious... Especially pastries and breads... service is great everyone make you feel welcome.
...how long has it been? Just drop by!
Good Empanadas, Berlines y enpolvados.
I don't doubt the pastries are great, but if you're looking for a spot to drink coffee and work, look elsewhere. There aren't many outlets for getting work done, there's no wifi, and it was too cold inside to stay around. (They kept the front door open in the middle of January when it was 48° outside.) I ordered a mug of black coffee, but it was watery and unpleasant.
Quiche was delicious, croque monsieur was delicious (bread was both crispy and soft), croissants were delicious (especially the almond one)... check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Very good pastries, desserts, bread and cakes. They have decent coffee that they serve in ceramic cups. Their creme brulee croissants are to die for. Service is sometimes a little too slow and it is on the expensive side.
Three cakes
Great food!
Great coffee, pastries, and lunch.
I'm going to have to keep coming back until I've tried everything.
Flavors are really good. Prices are higher every time and sizes SMALLER by the minute. Not surprised by it.

Always the best
Great French bakery! Illy coffee as well!
