Their donuts are delicious and the portion is huge. One donut will fill you up but there is nothing wrong with that. The selection is pretty stellar too, long list of donuts available daily. It's super convenient when heading to fort Williams or two lights to eat breakfast by the beach.

We love this place. It became a tradition to stop here when we took weekend vacations north, and we always looked forward to it. All the pastries we tried were great. Good coffee is available for a pick-me-up, and the day-old shelf often had great deals for a snack to take on the road.

Delicious, very large donuts. My kids and I took a field trip day to the Portland area and were on the lookout for a place that made yeast style donuts (aside from the D&D on every street corner). Everyone seems to make the heavier cake-style and potato donuts, except this place. The older lady behind the counter was very friendly and polite to my kids, so that's always nice. While we don't make donuts a regular part of our diet (wouldn't that be great if we could!), we will definitely make this our go-to place for the yeasty treats whenever we're in the area.

I'm not a fan of sweets but my wife is. Overall it had a good selection of products. Not really any prices or labels for the names of them so you spent more time explaining which pastry you wanted in the case then anything else. Parking was very limited or at least not labeled as to where you'd be allowed to park without fearing a tow truck.

I placed an order online for several pies (for my sister's birthday). I received an email confirmation (written by an actual person--not just an automated response!) saying that my order had been received; all the details included in the email were correct. Yet, when I went to pick up my order, they didn't have it ready. The manager who was working only said, "I don't do computers." Then why have an online ordering system? We bought a few dozen items out of the cases in front (turnovers, whoopie pies, cookies, etc.), but everything was mediocre at best, and much of it was stale.

This place is the best place for pastries and cakes!! Donna is so amazingly talented, friendly and personable. She understands the high-costs of weddings and tried to make the pricing easier for couples. Well she went above and beyond here! Everything tasted so fabulous, we received free coffee during our cake tasting. Also, our first Anniversary cake was fabulous! You can tell she really takes pride in what she does and even in the preservation of our first Anniversary cake.

The Cookie Jar is a small, locally owned business. They offer a great variety of freshly baked items that are baked in-house; jncluding muffins, donuts, rolls, breads, cakes and as the name suggests, COOKIES! The Cookie Jar had a small place for eating. There is also a coffee bar with an excellent selection of coffees roasted locally. The Cookie Jar is a local favorite, rightfully so.

I love The Cookie Jar! I frequently tell my friends and family that they need to stop by and experience the awesomeness that is The Cookie Jar. A friend introduced me to the Cookie Jar a few years ago and now I can't stay away. My favorite is their red velvet donuts..(also favorite among family and friends too). You'll have to get there early because they sell out fast, once they're out, they're out for the day (once in awhile they make more in the afternoon but it's not guaranteed). They have a variety of coffees, juices and other drinks offered. As well as cannoli, breads, cookies, Whoopie pies, pies, muffins and donuts...and more. I recently tried their red velvet and chocolate chocolate chip muffins very sweet and plan on getting again on my next visit. The staff are super nice... I've never had a bad experience here. I highly recommend stopping by for a sweet treat and coffee!
