I ordered my two year old son's birthday cake from Reilly's. I called a day in advance to order the cake ( according to them they only need a 24 hour notice for cakes). I told them the flavors I wanted and also asked them if they could do a dinosaur theme for the cake. They told be me it would be an extra fee for the theme I said no problem. I went to go pick up the cake and thought it was strange that they didn't show me the cake before I paid for it, but then again I should have asked. I get home and look at the cake and it is clearly a cake they had made for Easter which is also this week. The cake had green grass decorated all over it and a carrot in the middle that they threw a smiley face on it in hopes to make it look like a dinosaur, I guess? The cake did have a couple of dinosaurs decorated on the side of the cake but they looked like something I could have done myself. The cake also had an old taste to it like it was a couple days old and the frosting was hard. So it was clear to me this cake was not specially made for my son, but rather an Easter cake that was made probably a day before I even ordered my son's cake and merely doctored up (poorly at that) to look like a birthday cake. I will not be doing business with this bakery again and I would advise family's looking for children's (or anyone's) birthday cakes to look else where. They just don't seem to care very much about the quality of their product.

One of the last old fashioned bakeries around. Fantastic pastries and donuts. Go on a Saturday and get one of their famous double-dipped glazed yeast donuts. Go early though - those sell out fast. Getting Birthday cakes from here is a must, I love their yellow cake with Mocha (light chocolate) frosting.

We had Amy at Reilly's make our wedding cake and couldn't have been happier. She was responsive and flexible when coordinating the take-home tasting samples, which made it super convenient for our busy schedules! The end result was a stunning, 3-tier, naked cake that arrived on time and tasted delicious. It's not often that a cake looks great and tastes great too, and I don't normally love cake, but the flavor of the champagne cake and cream cheese buttercream was pure bliss. Would highly recommend for any occasion!

This is one of our favorite donut shops around, they sell old school donuts that are made fresh. We have several real great donut shops in the area and this is one of them. They also make custom cakes as well as bread, etc.

Had a horrible experience at Riley's Bakery. My brother's fiance had gone in with my mother to order three separate cakes to use for their wedding (not a tiered wedding cake). The cashier gave us a quote of $197 dollars for the three of them (it was a small wedding). They then took our deposit of $100.00. A few days later, they called us back and told us we had to order a $700 cake instead because we were using it for a wedding, even though we didn't ask for the wedding cake. It was the same cake but because we were using it for a wedding she said we had to pay 400 dollars more- paying by the slice. They said it was our fault for ordering through the cashier and not the cake decorator, even though we had no way of knowing since they did not tell her when she paid, and did not take responsibility for the miscommunication or false estimate. They then proceeded to blame the miscommunication on her being from the Philippines, even though my mother who is American went with her and heard everything. They told her "we're not in Hong Kong anymore". They then made her make an appointment to order a wedding cake, which was difficult since the person was hardly ever there. When we finally found a time to meet, they called to cancel the day of saying "we didn't need to come in anymore". When I called to complain the owner Elizabeth claimed we "didn't make an appointment." On top of being extremely rude and apathetic, she made no attempt to make amends for their errors, false information, or miscommunication and concluded to say that all my complaints were invalid because "they were very professional" and "explained very clearly to her" which they did not. I am very disappointed to be treated this way by a bakery that has been serving our community so long. It is clear their standing has allowed them to become cocky and careless in the way they treat people. Needless to say I will no longer be providing them with my business.

I can't believe how delicious the baked goods are at Reilly's! When I worked at the Clam Shack in Kennebunkport many years ago, we used the "Reilly roll" for our lobster rolls. They are really soft and flavorful! This roll helped them become one of the best lobster rolls around and at that time written up in Gourmet magazine! Now, I teach in Old Orchard Beach. We often have Reilly's doughnuts on Fridays. Also, on the first Monday of Teacher Appreciation Week, our P.T.O. treats us to them. The bismarck is out of this world. By far, the best doughnut I've ever tasted! I also love their jello doughnuts and maple creams! I would give you 10 stars if I could!

I might have just caught them on an off day but the donuts I got here were not good. I was excited to try them because I've heard all about their old fashioned donuts but these tasted nothing like homemade old fashioned donuts to me. Their regular and glazed donuts had no flavor and tasted under cooked even though they looked perfect. The maple cream had an overpowering amount of butter and not much maple flavor and was not even mixed thoroughly. The frosting on the Boston cream was good but the filling was pretty flavorless. All and all very disappointed in my visit there.

I am from Northern NH and was staying at a local campground and thought it would be nice to go to a local bakery. Giving the amount of years Reilly’s has been in service I thought we would give them a try. Never again, the service was not friendly on 05/19/18. They said the frosting was all butter cream, my family are all bakers and if that’s what they call butter cream then their recipe is horrible. It tasted like old fashioned frosting which is made of crisco. Our pastries were either old or way over cooked. I don’t recommend this place if you want friendly service or tasty pastries.

Pre-paid for my 2 Thanksgiving pies...only to find they had no record of it. Saleslady remembered my paying - yet, I failed to keep my sales slip and t hey were too busy to go through their sales book. Beware of ordering and pre-paying at Reilly's I will never do this again. So my 2 pies cost me $32. Am not happy the day before Thanksgiving.

This was my first visit to Reilly's Bakery. They are a family-owned bakery for over a hundred years, for generations. Located in downtown Biddeford. Not too hard to find if you use Google maps. The bakery itself is small but there is a wide variety of product cakes, cream horns donuts. There are three or four small tables which you could drink coffee and enjoy your pastries. They bake all of their goods outback. The prices are very reasonable and the employees are very friendly. The quality of the pastry and donut that I bought were top-notch. I will pay them another visit in the near future. I highly recommend giving this fine establishment a visit.

5 stars all day!!! Love this place, have since I moved to the area. Staff is super friendly and I cant say enough about how delicious their pastries are. I am currently on living g the keto lifestyle so unfortunately I only go here once every couple months when I allow myself a cheat day but when I do boy do I endulge!! Great job guys!!

Fantastic bakery. Famous for decades for Easter hot cross buns, have to order ahead. Great daily specials. Something for everyone...Creme filled goods 10th wonder of world. Owners get up at 2 am to get goods started. When they are out, they are out. You can order ahead of time to ensure getting item. Goods still placed in box wrapped in twine..Gotta love old traditions that still work.

I needed a birthday cake for my mom's 80th, I called and placed the order a couple days in advance and asked for a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting with some flowers for decorations, I picked it up on February 18th and let me just say Reilly's went above and beyond it was the most beautiful cake I have seen, the flowers were so realistic with different varieties we hated to cut it, the cake was superb... delicious!!! everyone raved about it!....I think you guys probably gained some new customers :-) and I know I will definitely be back!! thank you so very much!!

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the location reminds me of the 100+ year old bakery from my home town, and the old-fashioned glazed doughnuts I bought were fantastic, and didn't cost much more than I would be paying in the supermarket for an inferior product. I'm positive I'll be back for more.
