I took all the warnings at heart. I called two days early and ordered two pies for noon on Thursday. I got there at 11:30 am to pick up my pies ...... no pies. The order was written out for 4-5 pm After several months of anticipation and a call two days in advance ...... it just didn’t work. I ended up with a day old pie from the refer. Call several times if you want this to work for you. I can’t say it’s the best in Maine. Or anywhere else. .

Great lunch!!! Famous for breakfast and unbelievable pies and baked goodies. Love these two folks. Kindness is something else. You just don't find homey places like this with such delicious food. It's a must stop!!!

I called from the Pittsburgh area to reserve wild blueberry pies. Stopped by to pick them up just before her closing time. She showed my daughter and I around the other offerings. She had made a delicious crab quiche shortly before we arrived and took the time to make a salad with fresh produce from her garden and for me included homemade pickled beets to make it a full meal. We ended up staying well past her 5 pm closing time because Dot and her husband were such delightful people. We didn't try the pies until later. Heaven on a plate! Hands down the best I have ever tried. And I don't take blueberry pie lightly. This has been my favorite dessert since I was a small child.

We love Dot and Edgar, they are the sweetest people. This not your usual eatery, this is Dot and Edgar's house that they open for breakfast and lunch. Dot is a fantastic baker, the pies and bread are excellent. We go back to Dot's every year when we vacation in Maine. True Maine hospitality!

We discovered Dot's on a recent ride down RT 32S. Just as we were telling one another how hungry we were, we passed by this sweet little home/cafe with an OPEN flag flying in the breeze. We weren't really sure what to expect but we certainly weren't prepared for the warm welcome given to us by Dot and her husband. We had walked straight into an old country kitchen, complete with woodstove and cast iron pots and pans hanging on the wall. It was difficult to concentrate on ordering an actual meal when we were surrounded by all manner of homemade baked goods! My breakfast sandwich consisted of a big fluffy biscuit, sausage, cheese and an egg perfectly done, along with crispy home-fries, the kind with onions. Yum. We spent the most delightful hour or so chatting with this fabulous couple who so obviously have put their hearts and souls into the place. Since I'm Miss Curious and peppered them with questions, they were willing to share what their days are like, how they got their start; we even swapped grandparent stories! I felt like I'd just spent special time with family and even got teary when I gave Dot a big hug and said good-bye. Loaded down with blueberry muffins, donuts, and cinnamon buns, we reluctantly went on our way, but we'll be back. Oh yes, we'll be back soon!

They have real maple syrup and a very good breakfast overall. The only thing that could be better, is the coffee. Dot is an amazing lady, who welcome's you into her family's home for excellent food!
