Highly recommend. This place is right near my job so sometimes I stop by and pick up some stuff on Fridays for my coworkers.. it's all so yummy. Their strawberry shortcake is so good. I think my favorite are the mini turtle cheesecakes.

All of the employees I've met in person have been friendly, though one on the phone must of been having a bad day. The food is amazing, cakes, anything they bake is simply amazing and I cannot stress enough that while they may be a tad bit more expensive, it's worth it's weight in gold to how good this place is.

I can say after meeting the owner and all the employees that’ll say I picked it up I’m super impressed. They were all so sweet and easy to talk too. The drive from Covington is so well worth it. Love it!!

I've bought the chocolate mouse cake several time's before, cookies. Then my church girlfriends and I have stopped by a couple of times to have lunch recently and had to try dessert and coffee. I had wedding cake it was delicious!! Then ordered a stawberrycake for my family. And noticed they had awesome king cakes!! The chocolate bomb I tasted and WILL be my next dessert!! There was a sandwich I had with artichoke in it that is delicious!! I absolutely LOVE this place!!!

It's the Only place I choose to order my Fiance's Birthday Cake from the 'Cocoa Bean Bakery' Annually, as well as our other Special occasions. Oh so very good. The freshest and best tasting pastries around. Nothing turns me off any faster than a stale cake and I've never had this happen from the Cocoa Bean like I've had from bakeries in Covington.

Cakes are beautiful to look at but once you cut into it, the quality is poor. Cakes are dry and the icing is full of lard. My family was very disappointed with the wedding cake flavored cake I purchased. Had very little almond flavor in the white cake, the “raspberry filling” was so thin that you could barely see or taste it and the lard based “butter cream” icing was extremely over-powering in quantity and taste. I do not recommend their cakes. I would have been better off buying a supermarket cake. The icing loving kids wouldn’t even eat it.

Don't let the name fool you, this is more bakery than coffee shop, and boy do they know how to bake! The coffee is fine, though they don't really have decent iced coffee which is my beverage of choice, but they have a big selections of cakes and baked goods that will make it very hard to make up your mind. No worries - you can buy cake by the slice!

I would describe myself as a cake connoisseur. I love cakes for all occasions. I have a loved one that works in the reception hall business and I have the opportunity to taste many of the "best" cakes in the Metro New Orleans area. This was hands down the best cake! Without a doubt. The cake was fresh and not lacking in taste. The strawberry filling was scrumptious and the fondant was perfection. Next time I need a cake... I'm going to Cocoa Bean.

AFTER raves about the Wedding cake, which was simple and pretty, we ordered for a birthday. Yuck, cake was fine, icing was awful, greasy, extra thick-1/2"thick between layers with a very thin raspberry fill. Not one person at the party finished the cake including kids. Not what I expected for $40. Staff was nice

Always delicious pastrys. Staff could learn to be more polite. Was very turned off by the counter woman's poor attitude when we wanted to have A sit down visit. Don't order decafe coffee she'll scowl and begrudgingly make you a cup.

The cakes are wonderful, although pricey, but it's worth it for the convenience and quality that they provide. Besides serving as a bakery, The Cocoa Bean also has a small cafe inside to order drinks and food. The menu is limited, but everything on it is mouthwatering. There are quite a few soups and sandwiches to choose from. I highly recommend the ham and cheese croissant and the freshly made potato soup.

We could not have been happier with Cocoa Bean Bakery! This bakery was recommended to us by friends who were recently married. Anthony was extremely easy to work with and exceptionally creative and kind. He created a semi-naked wedding cake and chocolate groom's cake for our reception. The pricing was very reasonable and fair. Plus, the end product was exactly what we wanted. THE CAKES WERE A SMASH HIT. I swear I saw guests go back for their 3rd and 4th pieces of cake. There were no hiccups. No stress. Just quality cake and service! The cake testing at Cocoa Bean was probably my favorite part of wedding planning. Would hire them again 10 times over.
