Be sure to order cake by phone first. Cookies and cream vanalla cake was so great and beautful! Cream was a little sweat for me but overall is nice. I would have change it to the chocolate if I know it was that sweat.

My wife and I got married in New Orleans as a destination wedding in May 2018 and I found Pure Cake on yelp while looking for a place that could make a cake like the volcano in the short film I Lava you by Pixar. I spoke with Monique and described what I wanted the cake to look like and sent a photo. She told me immediately that it was doable and when I saw the finished product, she had surpassed our expectations. The cake came out perfect and was delicious! We did the caramel cheese cake filling. Our guests loved it. Monique was very helpful, organized and a pleasure to deal with. If ever I am in need of another special cake, I will call on Monique and Pure Cake for sure. Thank you Monique! You helped make our day that much more special.

Where to even begin. We took the time to do cake tasting with several different places in New Orleans, as most couples do. It was extremely important to me that not only does our cake taste amazing, but it wasn’t too outrageously priced. Immediately upon walking into Pure Cake, I knew they were the right fit. Monique started our tasting by asking me all about our wedding. No other place did that. That simple gesture made me feel so excited to be a bride, and I knew Monique was excited for us too! The tasting presentation at Pure Cake was also so professional and beautiful, plus we were blown away by the taste. Best chocolate cake I’ve ever had, and I promise you I’m a tough critic. Further, the pricing was reasonable, and I loved how they didn’t take on a million weddings every weekend, so I knew my wedding would be a priority. I didn’t have to worry about anything — highly recommend!

I did some cake tasting at several known bakeries in the Greater New Orleans Area for my event, and hands down this cake was not only the best cake I tasted from any bakery in the area, but the cake was moist. The bakery offered more flavors for cake filling than any of the other previously visited bakeries in the area. I ordered two cakes, both cakes were divine, but my favorite was the chocolate cake with cookie and cream filling. I was impressed with the professional presentation of cake during my cake tasting experience, and cleanliness of the bakery. I most definitely would order another cake from Pure Cake.

I rented a house in the Garden District for a family vacation that included celebrating my daughter's birthday with friends in NOLA. We wanted a cake for her made by a truly local bakery...something special that didn't taste like the throw away stuff found just about everywhere these days. After calling Sucre to learn that only their central bakery "might" be able to take our special order, I found Pure Cake online by searching "bakery" in Google Maps near our place. Over the phone with Danielle, I ordered a 10-inch round chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream filling and frosting. I asked that it be decorated with shamrocks and spring flowers. When I picked up the cake, I found their place cute, clean and possessing the air of a bakery that takes time to craft special things. And yes, when we finally cut the cake for our more than 20 guests, it was devoured in minutes. It was frigging amazing! I mean it was by far the most chocolaty cake and frosting I have ever had the pleasure of inhaling. There was no sugar rush, bland cake or weird waxy frosting. It was as perfect as it was fresh. And the decorations were on spot for my daughter's funky style. Next time we're in town I'll have to try some of the other flavors that Pure Cake offers. In my book Pure Cake = Pure Perfection be it a birthday, anniversary, wedding or afternoon craving.

I ordered a cake for a Bachelorette Party. It came out exactly as I had pictured, and everyone said it was delicious. The cake was actually much bigger (taller) than I expected, so there was plenty to go around.

We’ve gotten several custom-made birthday cakes from Pure Cake, and they’re always beautiful and delicious! Their chocolate cake with salted caramel filling is amazing!

Good times Around the corner

We ordered 2 cakes from here over past 3 months. One was for my son birthday, they are 100% custom ordered. They do not have anything that is ready made. A paw patrol themed cake only cost me about 100 and Tax. The lady who helped us was sweet, courteous and most importantly my guest loved the cake. There will be few more repeated order going their way....loved it.

Omg! I love this place. I live in Austin tx and Travel to new Orleans often. I went for my 28th bday in Feb and found this place by Google I ordered 3 mini cakes before I could eat them hotel staff stuck their finger in one. I finally cut into it and it's heaven covered in icing. It was so good i emailed months latee to see if one could be shipped to me in texas. I'm returning in oct and wanted to order again and was heart broken to hear they couldn't take non wedding cake orders due to owner on maternity leave. Congrats on the new cake in the oven and hope to enjoy another one of your delicious cakes soon.

I did not buy this cake so my review is based only upon my experience of picking up the cake and tasting it. The cake was chocolate it was for a birthday and it was tremendous. The exterior of this store gives a look like it may be a different kind of business but upon ringing the bell I met a pleasant and responsive employee who was ready to help me and quickly gave me the cake.

The staff at Pure Cake is always so nice, and the cakes are ALWAYS delicious. Do not pass on the salted caramel; it is seriously the best cake I've ever had. They are the bakery I always go to for birthdays, and they're even doing my wedding cakes in a few months!
