REVIEWS OF Parkway Bakery & Tavern IN Louisiana

S H

Got it a roast beef to go and by the time I got to eat it was totally falling apart to the point of not being a sandwich. Maybe being a Louisiana native my standards for a poboy are high but with all the great reviews I was floored. Not worth the long hot line.

Chris Hodge

Poboys were pretty good. Place was packed as expected. 25 minute wait just to order, but the food came out pretty quick. Doubt I'll go back.

Mandi Eastwood

Best shrimp po boy and sweet potato fries!

Barre Rousset

First time there. Very good poboys. Very casual.

David Deleon

They advertise a "bottomless root beer float" that states on the menu you can get unlimited refills at the cost of $7. They don't. They give you a child size cup with the root beer float, but they will not give you any refills... Even though it says clearly on their menu that they give refills on it. Isn't that what "BOTTOMLESS" means? And they won't give a refund since you already consumed the product. For $7, a tiny cup, and zero refills, it's a rip off. A major rip off. Borderline scam. Tourist trap, for sure. Buyers beware.

Brad Grass

The grilled Italian sausage poboy and fried pickles were delicious, super cheap too!

Brian Migliore

Roast Beef Po Boy was very good

chai

Love it and the place. Although they weren't my favorite. The large is massive.

S Bernal

Great fried shrimp po’ boy. Had one on french bread and it was bursting at the seams with fried shrimp. I ordered the small and it was still very big. The fried pickles are also very well breaded and not greasy. Will go to again next time I’m in New Orleans!

Israel Matos

Great po' boy sandwiches, get the shrimp or surf & turf. Great desserts too, rum cake, French bread pudding. Roll up during happy hour and get your night started!

Joseph Cline

Friendly staff and great food quality. If you venture out of the Vieux Carre give them a try.

Michael Snyder

Best surf and turf Po-Boy in town

Aaww Yeahh

Love this place! Everytime I'm in Nawlin's, I make sure to get the surf and turf po-boy

Ben Estes

Maybe not THE best po boy in New Orleans but definitely in the top 5. Prepare to wait in line, sometimes a long time, to place your order. It's worth it!

Mike Finch

Ask a New Orleanian where's the best po-boy, and most will tell you here. How good is Parkway? We stopped on the way to the airport after a visit. No less than three other relocated Nola residents were doing the same thing: getting their Parkway fix before flying off. Anything is good here, but the roast beef is classic. An order of fries is big enough to share. Grab a handful of napkins, ya gonna need 'em. Wash it down with a Dixie or a Barq's root beer.

James Buscemi

Incredible!! My family and I have been eating here for literally generations. Its a bucket list stop for anyone visiting New Orleans. I recommend the shrimp po-boy but the roast beef is also top shelf. Whatever your taste... you will not be disappointed.

ricky jones

We really enjoyed this place the food was amazing the staff was hysterical. The atmosphere is great for family of any age. If you stop in New Orleans this is a must for good food and good atmosphere

Oliver Thomas

Roast beef poboy. Nuff said.

Tom Alden

I had heard of Parkway Bakery & Tavern studying the best places to eat in New Orleans for our trip here. They claimed to have the first and best Po Boys around. I was not disappointed. The Surf and Turf ( roast beef, shrimp, and gravy) was fabulous! I also tried the sausage (gator and pork) and it was almost equally delicious. Gumbo was an awesome side dish. Lunchtime on a Monday was crowded but moved along nicely. Staff was very friendly and entertaining. I would rate Parkway a must for any visit to New Orleans!

Mark T

Highly rated place for PoBoys and it definitely earns those high Mark's. You stand in line to order, so no great service point, but the sandwiches are excellent. I had the Roast Beef and would definitely return for this another time.

oxpatchreb

What can you say about Parkway that hasn't already been said. Iconic, legendary, consistent, quintessential NOLA. Parkway should be on your bucket list.....

Leon Sanders

Amazing and fast service. I tried the oyster and shrimp poboy and it was truly phenomenal. They also have different sauces that they made in house you can add to your sandwich

Vanorris Sims

Large portions at a great price. My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied.

Natalie LaCour

Great food. Wonderful staff

Crissy Bushman

I love this place! It took me almost 11 years to go here once I moved here. Boy was I missing out! Food is great and the atmosphere is very New Orleans. I've been several times. I had an issue once and the manager I contacted was absolutely insistent on making things right! Good vegetarian options too!

Michael Ruta

The Best Poboy Sandwich in town!

Patrick Bordnick

Never disappoints! Great old skool poboys. Wild caught shrimp is fantastic and has over 20+ shrimp on a half.

Aaron Zornes

Solid classic po-boys & very friendly wait staff Esp. “Surf n turf” ... others highly recommend gravy on your fries if you ask the staff ... personally, I have to cut back on the calories and fat somewhere do I passed on that lagniappe ... but others swear by it And they *do* stay open until 10pm with last order 9:45pm

Richard Notaro

Very popular spot and having eaten there I know why. A wide selection of very good po boys.

anita muccia

Fantastic! One of the best shrimp po-boys I have ever had!

Jim Huckaby

Poboy was very good but fries were under cooked.

Derrick Harris

The atmosphere is very welcoming. The service is very friendly. And the food is Out of This World!!!

Alfred Asprion

Been going to Parkway for 30 years and it was always great. My favorite place for roast beef po boy not anymore. Yesterday I stopped there and it was not nearly as good , it was a sad lunch. Maybe the last time I go thre

Erin Schroeder

This was our first food stop in our brief visit of NOLA and what a great choice it was! The food is fast and piping hot. Plenty of seating and you likely won't pick the wrong thing on their menu. Go for the surf and turf po boy for a real treat!

Susan Rowe

Definitely NOT the best po boys in town. $50 lunch, and threw mist of it away. Disappointing.

Larell Stuckey

The smoked alligator sausage...thats all I have to say. I had it in the po boy version, but any way you can get it, try it!!

John Mercier

Love the surf and turf poor boys! (That's roast beef anf fried shrimp!)

Cheryl Bowman

Yaaaaassss! Jambalaya was EXCELLENT! TBH, I am not a Jambalaya fan theirs was REALLY GOOD!

Nate Elston

Oh my word, it hurts so good. Shrimp and beef on a poor boy, yes please! Got our food, marital advice and a good story. Must come back.

Ted T

This for me at least has to be the Best Po' Boy not just in New Orleans but in all of Louisiana. The Roast Beef on my Po' Boy was so tender and juicy is should be considered a Hate Crime towards Cows! Yes, it's that good! I will be back.

Peggy Vidrine

The food was good.. service only soso

Angela Touchet

Cozy atmosphere, indoor/ outdoor dining areas, great food, good portions, and has it's own parking lot

Brandon Benitez

Pretty chill place with plenty of seating. No hostess so need to go to the back of the bar and place your order. Any table is up for grabs. Based on how much seating there is this place gets super busy during peak hours. But no wait after 2pm on a Thursday afternoon. Parking in the back of the establishment so no need to park in the street. The roast beef Po Boy was a disappointment, which is famous here at Parkway Bakery and Tavern. Not the best I had before. The flavor was lacking, the gravy left a weird after taste and the bread did not hold the sandwich together very well. Every bite the roast beef came flying out. But the bread was good though, that was only thing good about the sandwich. The fried sweet potatoes were excellent, fried to perfection and crispy. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.

Anthony Collins

It was good food / with my lawyer/atty..

Bambi Darnell

I thought I had died and gone to heaven !! The surf and turf poboy was divine. The drinks at the bar were delicious and strong

Will Fusaro

Great Po Boys!!! Came here when visiting NOLA and found ourselves in Mid City for a tattoo appointment. Came here afterwards and aside from the generous portions the food is amazing. The Po Boys were great and the bread was killer. Their fried pickles were crunchy and just a tad spicy and the bread pudding was fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for one of the best Po Boys in NOLA!

Lataine Shaw

Delicious Meatball Po'boy sandwiche!

Patricia Dequeant

Great food and service with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. I ordered an oyster po-boy and found a pearl, a lucky find!

A Stevens

something is going amiss, the poboy was good. the fried pickles were not what they used to be. took quite a while for order to be ready. I'm not saying don't go, I'm saying temper your expectations. yes, I will go back and try again, may have just been an off day.

Jack L

Shrimp Po Boy, really good. No BS type of place

Maddy Thom

Cool spot with a great vibe. Vegetarian po’ boy was super dry - would benefit from a vegetarian gravy or added sauce. Catfish sandwich was okay, but nothing spectacular. Fried pickles were tasty. Maybe we just ordered wrong...? Nice little sauce bar for those of you who like dips. Expect a long line, but we got our food pretty quick.

Tin Nguyen

If you like po boy, come here for it, other than that, everything is pretty alright. Keep expectations low, and you'll enjoy the food here, because it'll cost you around $10 a sandwich.

Richard Perkins

Good roast beef very good the large u can take the rest home with you

Amity Fountain

Always a wonderful experience. Food and staff are amazing. Never disappointed.

Urban Mystic

The roast beef needs more seasoning but an all around great place

Sergio Gonzalez

Wherever there is a line of locals willing to wait 20 minutes to get a sandwich, there's gotta be something about them. After that, the po boys do the talking. Great casual neighborhood restaurant with a cool bar to hang out at. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just locals providing great comfort food in a cozy and neighborly environment. Highly recommended.

Neizia Willshire

The roast beef had zero flavor. For what. I paid for it I could have made my own.

Thomas Massey

Nice seating indoor and outdoors. If you having lunch there, Arrive before 12:00 unless the line can get long. I ordered an oysters po boy. Nice size and full.

Marlon Funes

Just amazing place, Parkway never fells to impressed locals and visiting folks. The Fried Shimp Poboy is just epic and Charbroiled Hamburger PoBoy is my fav ever

Ryan Verret

Simply the best shrimp po boy I’ve ever had. I’ve been coming here for 3 years now and I can’t bring myself to try anything else because the shrimp po boy is just too good.

Hector Bermudez

Best Po Boys in Nola. Away's out from the hustle and bustle of the quarter but so worth the trip. When we visited this establishment we took the trolley out and walked it over. It was a fun adventure for lunch. I will for sure visit this place every time I come to NOLA. The fried pickles are a must for any pickle lover. The same batter used for the shrimp/fish sandwiches I presume gives it the great taste. You can't go wrong with the shrimp Po Boy. The bread is baked fresh and the ingredients are such a perfect balance for the sandwich. The Beef one was super tasty drenched in gravy as well. We ordered some chili cheese fries and they were just perfect to compliment the sandwiches. The little bar inside is a cool spot to grab a beer and a Po Boy. This place has it going on. Be wary its popularity does create a big line at times but totally worth it. The locals know it and the tourists keep coming in. I love the old school signs everywhere and memorabilia. LOVE it LOVE it LOVE it. Thank you for the good times and awesome FOOD!

T. A. A.

GREAT food, GOOD price.

ADAM A DUNCAN

Decent sandwiches and friendly staff. Extremely busy place all the time, so the weight is generally more than at other places. Had the meatball po-boy, which had good quality meatballs. Would have like the cheese melted. Also had a chicken po-boy that had good flavor, but was extremely chewy.

Jamison Fischer

First of all, if you order a large po boy, I hope you haven't eaten for a couple of days because its absolutely massive. Imagine a two liter soda on its side but full of awesomeness. I had the surf and turf, it didn't disappoint. I could only eat half of the sandwich. It's great for a good pregame meal before you hit Bourbon. Great people and great service. I will definitely come back in the future.

Preston Coles

Absolutely LOVE Parkway Bakery!! We don’t live in New Orleans but every time we visit it is an absolute must. Sometimes it can be very crowded with the line out to the street but it is worth the wait. It is not the cleanest restaurant in town but it’s definitely fun and good. The service is always very quick. They have a big menu with a lot of good options.

Devin Fleming

The best roastbeef po'boys in town! shoot in the world.

William Urban

Love the place good Po-Boys good drinks could service. Not the best in town but certainly worth a visit. Go when the weather is mild and enjoy sitting outside. Also, great music.

Andrew L

Wow. Just wow. Best shrimp po boy I’ve ever had. Nolan aka “Mr. New Orleans” really knows southern hospitality.

Tom Annese

I am at a loss to come up with the words to describe the shrimp po'boy I ate. To say it was amazing would fall short. It may have also ruined me for ever having a better sandwich anywhere, ever for the rest of my life. If you are in New Orleans, make it a priority to eat here.

Norman Marino

Favorite and best poboy shop in New Orleans. If you go during peak times, be prepared for a long line. If you've ever been there, you know it's worth the wait. Been going there since the early 70s.

Revius Adams

Came here for a wedding reception. The mini roast beef and mini shrimp poboys were awesome. There was vegan food and the artichoke patties with the roumalade sauce topped with some green onions were awesome. The roasted cauliflower was another good choice. Didnt know they did wedding receptions. They staff was friendly and it was an enjoyable time.

Ashley Lawlor

Simply delicious! The line wasn’t horrible and went very quick. Sat outside and had amazing food- fried shrimp poboys and fried pickles! (The serving for fried pickles was more than I could handle). I dream of this place!

Jared Schierbaum

Service was fast and the food was fresh Went and ate a Surf & Turf Poor Boy with Sweet Potato Fries chased with a sweetened house tea. Tables were clean and the employees with hospitable. If you haven't been get there!

John Gudan Jr.

The shrimp were way too spicy to be REAL Noo'Awlins. Parking is great, easy. The line was very long. Food is very good. Place is fun Those guys in the kitchen busy dey butts. For all the excitement and action, they keep it very clean, even the restrooms. Good work fellas!!

Bill Moran

They misplaced our order, so we had to call them out. But they more than made up for it by using our delicious poor boys. Sides we're great as well. Love the atmosphere!

Miche M.

I decided to try Parkway Bakery and Tavern since I “heard” they had really good poboys. I also saw them advertising the jambalaya on Facebook. So I arrived right at opening with 2 other guests. Placing our order took way too long in my opinion. There were only 6 people in front of us and that took over 20 minutes. We did get our food pretty quickly after ordering and that showed in the lack of quality. I ordered a large shrimp poboy and some jambalaya. The poboy was awful! The shrimp were soggy and there wasn’t enough shrimp for the bread. One of the other guests had the oyster poboy. Again, there weren’t many oysters in her poboy either. We compared it to another guest who was sitting near our table and she had double the oysters. Where is the consistency and quality?? The jambalaya was basic. That was unfortunate because it looked so good on Facebook. The bread pudding was pretty good, so no complaints there. One of the other guests tried the butter rum pound cake and it was such a letdown. It’s safe to say I will not be returning here ever.

Carl Meyers

Always awesome food and friendly service.

Ron G

Whew! Bring your appetite...or a friend to share with. Food was very good with large portions. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere inside!

de ge

Food was good here but it can be a little expensive especially if you have a large family. Portion sizes are pretty big so keep that in mind and possibly you can save some money. They do have indoor and outdoor seating for large groups. Wild gulf shrimp po boys are great tasting and so are the fried pickles. Will maybe stop in again when in New Orleans.

Jake O'Brien

Fantastic po boys and good drinks. Really lively all around except it feel a but rushed.

Andrea F

Great service and prices. In November, one day a week, they have a Thanksgiving special po-boy with turkey, cranberries, stuffing and gravy. It is truly a delight. I have never had anything less than stellar here. During peak times, it is BUSY. Parking can be tight in this area. It is well worth the wait.

Tylaw's LT1

Good food, prompt service. I happy the shrimp po'boy my wife had the Bbq beef. Mine was excellent. Hers was just good. Overall good experience. Even met a guy from my hometown in Arkansas.

Carol Hutchison

Best shrimp po'boys in town! You must have one... fries are hot and delicious, specially the sweet potato one.

Katherine Stengel

If you're looking for the real deal PoBoy, you have to check out Parkway. So amazing!!!

Sharon Russ

Surf n turf po boy was outstanding!

Mark Girard

There oyster po boy are the greatest hands down

Cyril Saulny

I've been going to Parkway Bakery & Tavern since 1977, my freshman year at Xavier University. It transformed from a one room quaint setting, into the not-so quaint but engaging environment for eating a traditional as well as non-traditional po-boy! Well worth the visit!

India Stanton

A great space to sit and have a leisurely meal on the bayou. The line is sometimes intolerable because it's so popular/famous. The po'boys are pretty standard and not necessarily worth a huge line. The Thanksgiving special poboy is supposed to be amazed by, but only available during Thanksgiving season.

Alberto Oliver, PFLAG VP, Newsletter Editor

When people ask me where to get the best PO boy, my answer is always "Parkway." This year, they won the "best of the fest" award at the PO boy festival... And that award-winning sandwich, featuring fried shrimp, bbq roast beef and a hot sauce mayo, is now being sold at Parkway. I am a purist and had the roast beef with debris cheddar fries. You cannot go wrong with anything you order from Parkway! Enjoy!

Cassandra Brykailo

We went there expecting good, but danggggg it was awesome! We were going on a cruise and I asked the lady at the airport where to go for the best po boy in New Orleans, she told us Parkway Bakery. It was phenomenal. My husband and I had the shrimp one and our friend had the surf and turf. We left full and happy.

Marianne Marsolais

Fun vibe, great food, generous serving sizes. Worth the visit!

Joe Click

Cozy and cool atmosphere, great ambiance, nice food and quick service.!!

Rachel Wile

Our Uber driver suggested this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. The roast beef po'boy was one of the best things I've ever ate. The banana pudding was just like my grandma's, with homemade pudding. If I lived closer I would eat here every week. You cant go wrong eating here

Julie Bourque

THE best shrimp poboys in Louisiana. Bar service is always excellent.

Mary Ann Colley

Had the James Brown! Delish!

Vidhya V

Being vegetarian, I could buy sweet potato fries sandwich and it was too good. Loved the food and dessert!

Kenneth Savoy

Great food, atmosphere, and workers. Shout out to Pete. Such a nice guy. Shared a brief conversation with him as he reassured us that the line would move quickly and gave us a heads up about upcoming changes with the call in section of the business. :)

Dacoda Hulse

I got the shrimp poor boy. My motto is "No shrimp left behind" and this was the first time I broke protocol because I was bursting at the seams from this delicious sammie. The small is plenty, I barely touched the sweet potato fries I ordered on the side. Smother that beauty in the Crystal hot sauce provided and you've got yourself a fantastic, albeit messy, meal. Quick service, friendly staff. Side note: they have a ton of seating, the side we approached from did not make that apparent. Restrooms were very clean.

Monete Dillon

Best Po'boy I've ever tasted. They have unique sandwiches with tons of meat on your sandwich. A large could feed 3 people! I had the James Brown! Very delicious!

R. B.

One of the best places to get a Po'boy. I had their Surf & Turf Po'boy. Was absolutely delicious. The line can get long but is definitely worth the wait. I will be back!

YB Husain

Excellent service. Excellent poboy choices. Worth the wait!

M Cadenas

Yummy poboys. Got meatball, fried oyster, shrimp, and pot roast. Sooo good!

Dondré S

This is a cool place to get food. It's very unique and has a lot of personality. The service is good and the food is great. I got the alligator sausage poboy and it was so good. I recommend it for sure. The fried pickles were extremely salty to the point where I couldn't eat more than three. They also have some good desserts including the banana pudding.

Christopher Lineberger

Grade A Food I had the po boy bbq beef Better get there early.. line builds up quick Opens at 11

Wanda DeLee

Food great, atmosphere fun convenient meeting place

Elijah Lefkowitz

The po boys are huge. They are delicious. There is a long wait so be prepared

Lindsai Nicole

This is a must visit. If you are looking for a good poboy this is the place. We go EVERYTIME we are in New Orleans.

Samuel Edmondson

The line was really long, so we stood in line for ten minutes then placed a call in order and got our food in about ten minutes when the wait would have taken at least 30. The shrimp po boy was pretty good and had a lot of shrimp on there. The remoulade sauce was delicious, and I put a lot on there after.

David Pernick

It was my first po boy but wow that shrimp was on point. The coleslaw too. I’m from out of town so I went by myself during the saints game and the people were super friendly, including the staff.

Scott Hollis

Po-boys better than Parasol's, huge place, a lot of seating, but better in the bar, Mike the bartender, friendly & good conversation

C Adams

Mike is the best bartender! Very friendly, funny and fast service! Food was great!! Ask him to tell you a story...he has some good ones! Great times!

valerie Nightshade

People seem to love this place. To me, it is just average. You can probably find a dozen places with better Po-boys that are much cheaper. This place is for tourists. So if you are one go ahead. They have deep-fried everything. They might even have a rat in those sandwiches. It all looks the same. If you like food that is the color white or a light shade of greasy flour this is the place for you.

Clyde Ramey

My favorite poboy in the city! Legendary! Their shrimp is always huge and fresh! The roost beef poboy is one of the best around!

Matt Slem

The shrimp had a metallic aftertaste and the po boy was too salty. It was good, but not great.

Geoffrey Littleton

Roast beef po boy.... barqs in a bottle. Amazing

Brian S

Heard about this thing, worth the trip I tell ya.

William Portie

My favorite poor boy place and favorite neighborhood bar. Everytime I go to New Orleans I try and stop by. Never disappointed. Always a 10.

Neon Black

Best po-boys in NOLA. Fast, friendly and cheap!

Benjamin Sporcic

Love it. Excellent food, friendly staff!!

Dave Lawson

Can't say enough good things about Parkway. I miss it all the time since I'm not local. Can't wait to make it there again. Best poor boy sandwiches in the world.

Shannon Ochoa

Love this place!! Always sit in the bar, fast service and great atmosphere. The bartenders earn their money and always check on those sitting away from the bar. I am in love with the Roast beef PoBoy. Next time I will have dessert

Ron Legendre

Great well-known, historical restaurant that serves the best Po-Boys in town.

Bernie Alvarez

Came to New Orleans for the first time and since my Airbnb was nearby this location. On top of trying my first Poboy, it was my first taste of Alligator and that sandwich was banging. Too damn delicious that I’m surely coming back for a sandwich before my flight back home. Powerful drinks too!

Farris McManus

A New Orleans staple for damn good reason. Locals and tourists alike mingle and enjoy lunch and cocktails. Dog friendly patio and a rowdy Saints crowd is always on hand during football season. Poor boys are great. Gumbo is also delicious. Don't even think about leaving before you try the fried pickles and a Moscow mule. Family friendly and plenty of parking. You won't leave sober or unhappy.

Gwen Britton

Great oyster po- boy!

Paula Cutino

Awesome seafood sandwichs to die for!

Lew Schexnayder

Only place I can get a good corned beef poboy.

Mike Tompkins

I tried a lot of Po Boys in Nola, and this was the best hands down! Can get super busy so get their early or late... Both the fried shrimp and beef were great (or even better in their combo with both in!)

T Rosemore

Food was great as usual. Ordered from the bar. The ladies working weren't as friendly as the kitchen staff usually is. Could have been having a bad day.

Catrie Gibbs

Awesome Place To Be

Cobalt Sthenia

So far the best food I've had in a city famous for its cuisine. They're unpretentious and friendly, and the fried shrimp po boy was far richer than its unassuming appearance would suggest—but don't think you'll be able to fit it in your mouth; it's huge!

Vaughn Barbarin

Always a crowd pleaser!! Cool staff, good beverages and food. Whoo! Can't lose

Klathena Timbers

Delicious food but small portions/drinks for prices

Michelle Marsden

Best roast beef po boys in town!!

O D

Went here for lunch. Had the Catfish poboy, if you enjoy tartar sauce please stop by and get their homemade tartar sauce they have and place it on sun. Sub was very tasty, the fish was fried well but not dry. The bread even though was very flaky was easy to pull apart and wasn't very chewy. Overall was a great Poboy and I look forward to trying the other ones they have. Oh Yea please be prepared to wait in a very long line. I waited for 30 min to order and apparently the line was very short that day O_O.

Lori Shiffler

Always my go to roast beef poboy place.

chetoca barfield

The poboys are amazing. Shrimps are so fresh.

Zechariah Rogers

Friendly staff and excellent food. Had the surf and turf poor boy and it was delicious. The large was big enough that I saved half of it for dinner.

Brandi Brister

One of the very best poboy spots in New Orleans. Far more for the locals than the tourists, making it a fave. I always get the fried shrimp poboy. Love!

Kyle Reinfried

I've been to parkway twice. Once on my first trip to Nola , once on my fourth trip . Why did I not got the 2 middle trips? I don't know...I plead insanity. Parkway is a must. They have the best variety of poboys aka poor boys, some of the most delicious/award winning ones, and have ample seating. Seating is a big deal to me, because I like to eat right away vs take out and be able to sit and enjoy. It's a cool atmosphere when there's a large amount of people. Almost feels like a beer hall, but for sandwiches.

crazyaboutO27 Lionel

Food was fantastic, closed on Tuesdays. The oyster poboy was fantastic only Mondays and Wednesdays. The small is more than enough. We all shared a bite from each other's, able to sample more. What a delight. Full bar, inside (AC) and outside seating available. Original low brow eclectic atmosphere. Fun place!

Chris Lumsden

I ALWAYS stop here every time I am remotely close to New Orleans. Love Parkway!!!

William Wright

Small po boy was a lot of food for the price. Nice environment.

Joe Calderone

I love the history and culture of this place. By far the best poboy place in Louisiana. They also coined the word poboy, how awesome is that. They will make whatever you want and how you want it. Shrimp poboy is great as it comes. The friend pickles are on $4 but can be enough for 2, esp as an appetizer. Same for the fries but they are cheaper. Get a large poboy if you're hungry but you wouldn't need any sides. The poboy itself is going to come full and full of flavor. Enjoy!

Demetrice Williams

My bartender Allie was the best. Great service, great drinks. I enjoyed myself

Dan Hanak

How a po boy should be. Standard po boy dress and options in a cart to add your own. Great prices, large portions. Be prepared to wait in line

Harry Hill

Excellent casual food. So much shrimp on the poo boy we ended up eating some without the bread.

J San

This is our go to for po boys when we are in new orleans. Their shrimp ans surf turf always hits the spot. There is a reason why they are so popular in spite of being in the middle of nowhere...

Eddy Gutierrez

Best poboy in the city. I love the shrimp poboy, but the surf and turf is great. The staff is friendly, the prices are good, and all sandwiches are loaded. I love this place and usually eat more than I should. Rum cake is not part of their menu, but you can find it by the register, and buy one if there is one available. You will thank me for it.

Tasha Miller

This is an amazing and awesome place to get an amazing poboy. I just love it here.

Jack Khorram

Way to expensive for what you get , i been eating poboys all my life, place just got a name , I had poboys from Johnny’s much better, beef is way to salty, and you pay with drink (soft drinks average size) and bag of 25 c chips $1:50 small soft drinks 2:50 sandwich 16:50 cost of poboys with chips and drink over$22.00 Now I can go around corner gas station have the same for $8.00 food is just ok nothing very special, my advice try corner stores they are the best and cheap and you not going to wait in line in hot days to get a SANDWICH!!!

Katey Durbin

Had the shrimp po-boy and was not disappointed! They stuff the bread with so much fresh, deliciously fried shrimp that it’s criminal. All dressed (lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles...) is the way to go! We also got an order of gravy fries with cheese which were heavenly. If you’re in town, you need to stop by.

David Glustrom

Best po’ boy I’ve had. Also, gumbo and fried pickles were excellent.

Carmel Topinka-Pennington

Catfish PoBoy and Fried Pickles were yummy!

murt rupp

OMG love this place roast beef poboys are off the chain and NO not my first time here, But love to come back. Highly Highly recommend trying this place it has more than roast beef poboys it has a large menu full of great food, and for the price - if you get a small sandwich you will be FULL. I could go here every day to eat something different just that good. Yall definitely deserve 5 stars Thank You

Jaime Carrera

Very good food away from the Bourbon Street crowds. Indoor and outdoor seating both have a great laid-back atmosphere. From what I could tell, there was a good mix of locals and tourists.

Stephanie Baye

Awesome surf n turf poboy. The bread is perfect for a poboy.

Tony
