A place this wonderful shouldn't even exist! After passing it all of the time and wanting to go in, I splurged on my way to visit a friend late one night. I didn't dine in, rather just bought a box of wonderful out of the case. The vibe looked great though for a cozy dinner or after dinner treat, especially on a date. I got 3 different slices of doberge and several cookies because I couldn't choose between them. Everything was incredible, a little pricey but worth it. They are open until midnight every night, except Mondays (closed).

Reminds me of speak easys here in Chicago. Great sweets and the shrimp dip was good as well. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Our drinks were good as well. We sat at the bar but if we were seated at a table we probably would have opted to play some of the board games provided!

This is by far one of my favorite places to visit in the city. Friendly staff, dark "smoking room" sort of vibe with a bar and tables, and you can't go wrong with a slice of douberge and a cold brew with a shot of whiskey. Just outside the bustle of busy Nola. It can also be rented for private parties. Highly recommend.

Very good cake! The rainbow one is a bit too almond-y but the other ones I tried were all moist and flavorful. I’m not the biggest fan of frosting. It’s too sweet. But if you have the patient to separate the cake and the frosting, the cake itself is amazing

Beignets tasted more like stuffed doughnuts, or a toaster strudel kinda..but they are still pretty good. The cake was great nice and the drinks were good too (expensive but good). They have some cool cake flavors and they stuff their beignets.

This was my first time at the Bakery Bar and it did not disappoint. There's quite the variety of doberge cake along with dessert, cocktail, and savory menus. The items on the savory menu looked great (we didn't order any), but I wish there would've been a few more options there. But places with charcuterie can do no wrong in my eyes. The cocktail options are unique, fun, and delicious. I was able to try the nectar fizz, amoretto sour, and cobbler and I enjoyed them all. All in all, this is a great place to grab some drinks and some sweets after a long day, or week. The vibe is very relaxing and it's easy to hear people when they're talking. The wait staff is extremely attentive and eager to help.

Baker's burger was pretty tasty but the brownie a la cosmos was really not worth the price at all. Thin brownie, scoop of ice cream, inedible Skittle brittle. I had the banana foster cake slice which made me sick to my stomach. Sickly sweet marzipan instead of frosting more like a cinnamon roll than banana. Baker's burger is the only reason this gets 2 stars

Awesome and fun staff. Came here for a sweet treat and was not disappointed. Got an authentic key lime pie that was a great balance of tart and sweet. Saw a bunch of other tasty looking cakes I wasn't able to try having eaten too much already. This place is open late (midnight), which makes it a candidate for a great late night sweet tooth visit.

Came here one night to try the rainbow layer cake but unfortunately they didn’t have it so i decided to try a number of the smaller cakes. SO GOOD. Ended up trying the chocolate, chocolate raspberry, wedding cake, king cake, and red velvet and they were all fantastic. I also got a cup of coffee and it was a great cup of coffee. The location was a little out of the way but it was more than worth it and I will make sure to come back here.

This place is a small, cozy establishment that has a lot of character. The layout is more for small groups of 4 or less, so if you arrive with more than 4 in your group you'll likely have to wait. The cocktails I tried were delicious, it is obvious that their bartender is very experienced. I ordered the trash fries to eat since it was getting a bit late and I didn't want to eat too much, and they were delicious. The cheesy garlic sauce is perfect and I would eat it on just about anything. The fries were the perfect size and the ones toward the top still had a lot of crispiness to them. What made this trip perfect was the cake. I had the maple bacon cake with blueberry pudding filling and it was delicious. On my second trip, I tried the key lime and boozy Irish mocha cakes and they were delicious as well. This place will be on my must visit list each time I go to New Orleans. If you are in the mood for upscale comfort food and delicious cocktails, be sure to pop by.

Do yourself a favor and stick to happy hour/drinks/desserts at this place. Only 2 out of the 7 people I just dined with were satisfied with what they ordered for dinner, and those were burgers and fries. Nothing to write home about. Overpriced to boot. Happy hour is likely the way to go.

This place looks so tiny from the outside, but it is so quaint and chill on the inside. I lived right around the corner from this spot for years, and figured it didn't have much seating inside, but boy was I wrong! I'd suggest this spot as a nice, little cute date spot.

I stopped in for lunch and to pick up a cake I ordered and everything was perfect. The brussels sprout salad was huge, and they have a great cocktail menu- mostly combinations I've never heard of that are creative and taste great ( especially Mean Jolene and the bartender suggested Carlito Spritz which I loved). The cake I ordered, and the extra slices I bought were delicious and beautifully presented. Most importantly, service was excellent. Warm, friendly and fast.

I gave this place a second try and it struck out twice. Awful service and food is below average. For the prices, I was apalled. Burger was undercooked to the point of being unsafe to eat. My drink order was forgotten. We waited 30 minutes to try the new King Cake and were ignored the entire time. Nobody offered to bring it to our table even though we said it was what we were waiting for. Once at the counter I was still ignored and finally left without cake. Won't go back and there are so many other restaurants in New Orleans I would suggest over this place.

Had my first experience at the Bakery Bar in New Orleans a few days for my mothers birthday and it was great. The service is quick, so friendly, and incredibly nice. The food was delicious the "nuggets & waffles" and " trash fries" are great. The drinks are good too (they coffee all the way to Alcoholic beverages). The variety of cakes & petits fours is wide with multiple flavors. And the petits fours were amazing so good. I highly recommend The Bakery Bar and can't wait to go back.

Delicious! That's the best word to describe this place. I had the Vanilla Doberge Brulee, which is layers of white cake and vanilla pudding finished with a crust of Bruleed sugar. My other half had the cinnamon crunch doberge. Both were amazing. If you enjoy a good cocktail with your dessert then you must try the La Louisiane. It's like a Manhattan with a kiss of New Orleans

Look at my photos. I paid 12$ for three tiny stacks of cold vegetables. Why on Earth is this a cold dish? It's raining, it's cold. I read the menu and was expecting warm, comforting veggies. This location has always been a quirky space in the New Orleans food and bar scene, glad to see it's continuing to be a little different and excellent.

This place is so cozy and charming. They have a nice bar where I could imagine myself enjoying a few cocktails. They also have a large seating area that has lots of windows to bring in natural light during the day. The fresh flowers in bud vases throughout are such a thoughtful touch. What a nice place! I went here a couple hours after dinner with some relatives. We were referred here by the front desk staff at the St.James Hotel- and what a great suggestion! The place has a very calm and inviting energy and it has a rustic feel. The lady running the bar was very sweet and was great in explaining how the whole process works. I ordered one of their cocktails and a dessert (don't remember the name) that was almost like a creme brulee with vanilla pudding at the bottom. The dessert and drink were delicious! It's such a great concept and I would definitely return if I make my way to NOLA again!

Excellent desserts that are a true representation of NOLA. Great coffee and although we didn't play them, they had board games available. Place was noisy/busy but it was to be expected. Our waitress was attentive and we were able to get seated after a short wait. Atmosphere was something like eating in a dimly lit library. The bananas foster bread pudding was amazing and I loved that they had a dessert like this on the menu as both bread pudding and bananas foster are both a dessert staple in NO. My wife had the Grasshopper Pie Bomb and she raved about it. Presentation of both desserts were well executed. We also ordered a couple slices of Doberge cake and Dobites on the way out. Will return.

Great service, very friendly staff. Patrons need to be aware of the noise level they bring into the Bakery. It gets so loud inside so easily, and it makes it harder for the staff to hear other customers orders. Those benjettes were on point though!!! They have a orange custard filling that's inside them and it was phenomenal!!!

It's okay. Kind of underwhelmed. I expected more treats since it's a bakery. All of the treats are cold because they are stored in a refrigerated display case. Cold treats don't bother me. However, someone else may prefer them room temp. I ordered pistachio cake, fun fete cake & a pistachio cookie. The icing on the cake is different. Not your typical butter cream & not like a fondant either. Perhaps icing paste? It wasn't bad at all. From a texture & flavor standpoint, I wish bigger pieces of pistachio were present in the cake & cookie. Cookie was cool. It had cherries in it. I was also tasted hints of lemon. The lemon did it for me. Yummy.
