REVIEWS OF Mud Pie Vegan Bakery & Coffeehouse IN Kansas

Plank Kelly

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and wanted a vegan dessert. Mud Pie did not disappoint! We split the Apple Crumb Cake and the Cherry/Orange Muffin - so delicious! It's wonderful to have a vegan bakery in Kansas City.

Jeanna Marie

Just because it’s vegan do not pass up this little place. I’m not vegan but my young adult children took me there for coffee and muffins. The Blueberry Lemon muffins are absolutely delicious! I wasn’t sure what coffee to get but the staff was incredibly helpful and extremely friendly, inviting us to hang out with them while we enjoyed our breakfast. I enjoyed watching the barista work his magic for other customers as I sat in a comfy, cozy seat eating my muffin. This little place is a true gem that shouldn’t be passed up.

Joel Schultz

Great local vegan bakery with a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Allison B

Really good food and coffee, and lots of rooms for being alone or for having meetings

Tish Schaefer

Love the vegan and gluten free options! Lemon Bundt cake is so yummy. I wish we lived here just for this bakery!

Uncle Fred

Non conforming little shop where treats and coffee can be enjoyed in an old house. Best alone on your phone or a quiet couple, not so good for a small or large group that talks with their voices as opposed to texting :-P

Truck 3404

The coffee was amazing gave me the euphoric sensation and the baked goods were delicious.

Thomas Ross

We walked 2 miles to get the coffee from this place and I am so glad I did. Coffee drinkers know that finding a good coffee isn't an easy job. This place has super minimalistic touch. I also love their almond and macademian milk mix. Sooo good!

gavin hanson

This place it amazing.

cindy o

They have lots of gluten free choices. The strawberry and lemon cupcakes are awesome and mouth-watering. The rocky road brownie was fabulous! Everything is good every time we go there. Loved it.

David Banks

Great vegan sweets and treats in a hip spot

the walnut

Excellent coffee, great deserts, and a good atmosphere. I hadn't been here in 12 years when my husband and I couldn't find a single coffee house that wasn't bombarded with people and which had parking. Mud Pie has a tiny parking lot and then on - street parking but we found a spot. The wait wasn't too long and the staff were friendly. We took ours to go and enjoyed the vegan cookie, which was delicious and had a perfect consistency.

Joshua McLeod

Great service, great food and coffee. The iced dirty south is my favorite.

Nick Zelei

What a great coffee house! Really cool place in an old house. Everything there is delicious. You may have trouble finding seating as Mud Pie can get pretty crowded at peak times. Don't be afraid to venture upstairs to find a spot if the first floor is filled up.

Leroy Brasfield

Great vegan friendly coffee. Tons of options and the pastries were amazing too. Would highly recommend. Prices are a bit high since its vegan. Expect to spend a bit of money.

C h l o r i n e

Food is great but the coffee isn’t very good

Rique L

Cute house turned business. Nice local shop to have a coffee with a friend. Limited snacks and my coffee quality was rated at a 3 out of 5.

Gabriela C

My son has a peanut allergy and being out of state (MN) I was in a desperate need of a birthday cake that was ok for him to eat. Although they were unable to provide me with a cake due to it needing to be requested a week in advance, they were able to help me pick out delicious vegan nutfree cupcakes and donuts as an alternative. Everyone loved them and were surprised when I told them they were vegan. A Big Win! See you next year!

Desiree Long

Great atmosphere. Beautiful art for sale. Good selection of vegan pastries and drinks.

Carter Stolberg

One of my favorite places to chill

Brad Shelton

The best vegan treats in town!

Rachel Ruebner

As a tea drinker the London Fog was disappointing - too much cinnamon (which should be optional). But, the Lemon-Blueberry Muffin was fab!

Maddie Reddick

Mudpie NEVER disappoints. Their coffee is great, their gluten free treats are enough to make me tame a special trip. I love mudpie. I definitely recommend checking out this KC gem.

Brenda Champagne

Wonderful for those with milk allergies. Ask about nuts. Flavorful treats. Really miss the lemon bars they used to have.

Vincent Cailteux

Friendly atmosphere and good selection.

Amber Claypool

This is the best coffee shop ever. It doesn't matter if you're vegan or not you will love this place!

Soapy Cheezus

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Vegan desserts are always good and fresh, staff is patient and friendly while I’m being stupidly indecisive, and the prices are pretty good for the quality of what you get.

Dani Stra

We bought their gluten-free chocolate cupcakes and they were really good. They have such a variety of cupcakes, coffee and other snacks. They are a local company too so it is worth checking out!

Raymond Ginnings

Everything my family has ever had there as been amazing. Drinks and food both. They even have a little kids play room upstairs if you want to stay.

Steve Denny

Best latte in town. Great pastries

Mason Reno

Really cool place although the workers were not very welcoming

Crystal Sheffield

Delicious food, great service, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing.

Sarah Brown

Bad Customer service....first time visit, didn't purchase anything and will not be going back. Nothing looked appetizing anyhow!!!

Melissa Hill

A true neighborhood gem of the 39th Street corridor, Mud Pie serves exclusively vegan products. However, many of the baked goods are so well executed you forget it’s vegan. The shop is located in a converted house, with couches, armchairs, tables, and chairs. It’s a great spot to work alone, or meet someone. Don’t miss Grandma’s Molasses Cookies if they are in the day’s rotation!

Chris

A dream destination for a vegan like me who doesn't care about a few calories

Sara Mathews

I've never had anything here that I didn't want 10 more of!

Erin Horst

So delicious! They even had a few gluten free options. The pumpkin pie was the bomb!

Kessashun Arthur

I was walking by and decided to pop in and give this place a try. They had some incredible looking options on display, from muffins, to cakes, brownies, and bars. I had a bundt cake that was incredibly rich and decadent for something that doesn't contain milk or butter. The flavor was spot on. I don't know how they do it, but this place is awesome!

Brandon Winchester

My wife and I got married this weekend and had a donut bar with donuts from here and were beyond impressed with them! Will be returning and recommending to all our friends and family!

Sean K

Absolutely in love with Mud Pie! You all are welcome to open a shop in Saint Paul.

Brianne Bustamante

Coffee wasn't hot....oddly. but the environment and baked goods were wonderful

Claudia Alcantara Meza

One of my favorite places in town. A great coffee shop to meet with friends and/or clients! Pastries are delicious and the Chai latte with coconut milk is amazing.

James Peckham

Well, my friends own this place so take that under advisement. Good job, good staff, good drinks and snacks. Great culture and a good part of the 39th street community for a number of years now. It's way better than the previous ownership back in the day.

Emily Waddle

This is my favorite place in the Midwest! We live in Iowa but have to drive to Texas a few times a year. We never miss this place on the way. Cozy, hip, delicious.

Michael Kenniston

Limited selection of food, but then it is a coffee shop and not a restaurant. The scone I had was good, and if you're a vegan with the munchies this is a good place for you.

Christian Michael Poynter

A little pricy but the lattes are great and the vegan gluten free baked goods are some of the best I've ever had (try the blueberry bar if you get a chance)

Sean Stumpf

Great place for vegan and gluten free options. I recommend the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin!

Elizabeth Sell

Everything tastes amazing, it's a great way to wow non-vegan friends into trying plant based coffee and treats.

Jordan Behr

Definitely one of my favorite, quaint coffee shops in KC. I am in love with their chai tea latte and scones!

Morgan Hepler

Mud Pie!! Yesss!! I’ve been going here for at least 6 years and have not gotten sick of it. Best vegan baked goods and drinks you can imagine will be in your belly if you go to this place.

Johnna Gale

A very welcoming and unique vegan bakery and coffee house in Kansas City, MO. The pastries were packed with flavor. I watched as a baker rolled out dough for a donut while waiting for one of the best scones I've ever had get heated up (I've eaten a lot of scones!). The building is a two-bedroom house painted bright yellow, sitting next to Exile Tattoo. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy this family run bakery.

David MacMillan

Homey and relaxing. The fare is okay but the service is great.

Tonia Russell

I am so grateful for places like these. The staff is friendly and helpful! The no-bake cookies are to die for! They have varieties of coffees and teas and choices from Almond to coconut to hemp milk etc. They have pastries such as scones, bagels, brownies, muffins and more! I love mud pie and highly recommend. The best thing its all VEGAN!

Matthew Frisk

Love this place!! Definitely, the best vegan bakery in Kansas City!! Love the vibe it gives off and it’s a good place to take some time for yourself.

KlattLegacy1993

A friend and myself stopped at this quaint little bakery for a late breakfast and boy was it awesome! I got a latte macchiato and a pumpkin sheet cake and a coconut bar. All of the food was fresh baked that morning and my beverage was piping hot with a nice later of foam and spice. If you are digging for a great breakfast locale, then give this bakery and coffeehouse a try.

Laura Brown

Good vegan bakery and coffee! Nice atmosphere for studying or having a chat with friends.

Aryn Kamerer

Amazing housemade nut milks with baristas who know how to froth them, and baked goods better than most non-vegan bakeries. Not too mention an adorable, welcoming environment.

chelsea fleming

Amazing coffee and gluten free options!!

Zebra Kakies

I have been a few times and always love it. This time we got the pear ginger muffin, a dirty chai, a hot cocoa (complete with latte art!), and pumpkin donut; all awesome. I really like the games and seating available as well.

Alanda

The Yellow House. The donuts, buntcakes and smoothie, that I purchased, were so very good.. Delicious! You wouldn't believe that its all vegan. However it's a very tiny space - cozy place with a couch section and other areas with tables, chairs and stools. You could vibe out, chill, relax with friends, read a book. Very good service! I heard they make Birthday cakes... I will return back here for sure to try coffee and other vegan deserts they have!

Andrea Schoen

The chai was great and they offer gluten free options in the bakery. Great ambience, great service. A little difficult to find parking but so worth it.

Ashlee Massai

Love Mud Pie with all its delicious vegan options! Scones are superb, all the sweets are magnifique, and the service is spot on. Prices are slightly above average, but it IS 100% vegan.. Which generally always costs more, sadly. Handmade chai latte is pretty decent, but it's not quite the best in the city. All in all, this space is a must visit!

Tiffany T.

Amazing! The staff was super nice, and very friendly... And I thought the desserts were really good! I got the sea salt caramel bars and the mocha chocolate Bundt cake and they were both great but I liked the sea salt caramel bars more. I'd definitely enjoy both again... Loved them very much!

Chip Owens

Great coffee, but amazing vegan bake shop! Quaint and cozy shop setup in an old neighborhood bungalow. Hazelnut latte and any vegan baked item and my day is made. Service is generally helpful, but not always happy. You get to work with coffee and bakery items!! Lol.

Melissa Reyerson

I absolutely loved this place. So nice not have to worry about what's vegan friendly or not and they even had gluten free items! The mocha was amazing as well as the vegan GF cookie and vegan chocolate donut. Will be back!

blue.inbloom

Went there for my mom's birthday. Walked in with a bottle of coke and while I was waiting in line to order a guy behind the counter pretty much accused me of stealing by asking me in a very rude way where I had got my coke. The expression on his face read "HAHA gotcha!" But when I told him that I had gotten it from Tiki Taco across the street he kinda embarrassingly shyed away and didn't apologize or anything and just went back to what he was doing... Was super weird and uncomfortable. Wish I would've said something then and there at the time.. just thought that should be addressed. Also the front patio is extremely unstable, I know it's supposed to look all hipster-like or whatever but I'm sure they're not gonna be too happy whenever they have a lawsuit on their hands whenever someone breaks an ankle..

Taylor Long

This may say vegan bakery, but don't let that discourage you from trying anything. I have never had anything from here that was bad.

Sean McLean

We came here all the way from British Columbia. It was fantastic. Dairy free and gluten free treats. Best chocolate bundt ever. Thanks for riding the vegan train.

Kelsea Unruh

Beautiful baked goods and they are amazing. So sad I didn't go sooner!

Tammy Smith

Got a variety of yummys. They were awesome!!!

louis scaringella

Coffee, desserts, and service is always fantastic. Even if you aren’t vegan, this place is a great spot to visit.

jordan scarbrough

Oh this place is dangerous! The food is soooo yummy! I didn't get a solid vibe but the food made up for that. Hubby and I enjoyed looking at the photos on the walls. Ordered a latte and hid out in a corner table laughing at our inside jokes. Definitely made some forever memories here in just one stop. If we lived in the area I could see making this our spot.

David Mitby

Chai tea is amazing, plus great patio to people watch on 39th Street!

Hijab my choice

This is the best place. I can get my sweet tooth on and eat gluten free at the same time if I want. Its a cute little place to come and just have a treat and read a book or catch up on some homework. My kids have taken a liken to this place also. Its a keeper for us☺

NOS Nero

My partner and I really enjoyed our visit to this super quaint, niche cafe. The vibe feels like more like chill, hanging out at a friends house more than a business which we loved! There's various pieces of art hanging up and numerous rooms converted into seating areas w/ huge windows to look out of and ponder existential dilemmas while the smooth jazzy sounds provide the ambience. There's even a kid friendly room for the lil humans. We both ordered the chickpea tuna sammies which were delicious a filling. I ordered a hot chocolate and Veladya ordered a latte, both were amazing with that homemade nut milk! All in all I rate MPVB&CH 4/5 bc everyone should definitely check it out, there's something extremely unique happening here and we loved it. The only reason we didn't give the full 5

Ryan Thornton

Great place with super friendly staff and delicious treats! Our little dude has an egg allergy, so this was perfect!!!

Brad Harrah

More approachable and casual than some other places. The rehabbed house layout adds some charm, plus it makes it more likely you'll find people (really) studying, or hanging out for a chat on the patio with strangers. The vegan goods stand on their own as delicious, not as an ethical compromise. There are several non-dairy creamers that are made in-house. Parking can be tricky, but it's a neighborhood for walking.

Clarissa Fortier

Visited twice on a stop through KC and wish that I had a Mud Pie where I lived! The baked goods are delicious and the service was super friendly! Enjoyed an amazing Kolash (sp?), which was similar to a pork bun but had amazing vegan sausage and cream cheese inside... unlike any other vegan savory treat I've enjoyed before and it was excellent. Other favorites include the lemon bunt cake, mini pumpkin donuts and the blueberry scone.

Marc Turnage

Gluten free, dairy free, tastes great!

eMclectic K

I split 3 items with my mom and got a smoothie. They were all delicious! Great selection, including a few savory items. They have a good coffee menu too. A cute little place with a friendly, laid back atmosphere. Totally recommend!

Zach Tennant

Our go-to vegan eatery. Especially for breakfast. My wife and I have been regular customers for about a year now. Our son loves it as well and has enjoyed multiple kinds of vegan dishes. They have good lunch and desert options as well. I usually get a breakfast scone (amazing cheddar sausage) or muffin with a coffee. I've never had complaints about the staff or environment. Everything is very reasonably priced but you can easily spend quite a bit because it's hard to pick just one thing.

Jami R

Oh my goodness! I got an almond milk latte and it was THE BEST latte I have EVER had! SERIOUSLY. It wasn't sickeningly sweet like most lattes with syrup in it (which I got one of their holiday syrups) but it was JUST right! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning!

Makayla Singleton

the best place in the world. everything tastes so good and fresh and i felt like i was in heaven. there's no vegan places near me so i drove over an hour and it was definitely worth it, spent over $20 sooooo good. recommend it!!!!!!!!!!

Lyneane Amos

I love the fact that everything is vegan. Occasionally they have a carrot cake that is to die for.

Richard Wolferz Jr.

Delicious muffin, doughnut, and coffee with awesome staff who know all the best vegan places in town, just ask! A must-do on a quick trip to KC.

John Bramble

I always get the Mexican hot chocolate which is always delicious, it's a quaint little building with an upstairs you can go sit in.

Doveyli

First and second visits in same day. A lovely atmosphere, cute and friendly staff. Tasty coffee and delicious pastries. So far I've eaten a cheddar bagel with green onion cream cheese, drank a small black coffee, and noshed on a chocolate chip cookie. Book shelf is sparse, but there are bits from Brian Jacques' "Redwall" series, which warmed my heart. Lots of places to sit and outlets to plug into. My new spot in Midtown KC.

Asher C.

Snacks snack and more snack. Cold brew by the gallon and a attic for hammocks and relaxing on their great Google WiFi and reading a book. They need a Yogibo Floor, soft stuff to lay on like a mattress that filled the room. Definitely not the kind of space for chairs in my opinion. But it already feels like that kind of warm cuddeling space now and it's just the building coming in close around you and the way it's always warm and dry in the Attic of a building. I bet it would be nice to do yoga in. Don't let your cookies crumble. They won't by themselves.

Afton Beebe

Amazing gluten free goodies

caleb mccormick

I have been visiting mud pie since about 2015 they have always been very nice and the owner has always been a cool guy! There not so mini doughnuts are a hit and I would always get the hemp milk mocha! There tea selection is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect! Good place to hang out and kill some time.

Greg Grote

I was passing through town and my daughter in law (who has been eating vegan lately) had posted a link to this place, so I offered to loop down and pick up second breakfast for my son's family. The lobby of the place is very small, and it was Saturday morning, so it was wall to wall people in there. But they moved folks through fairly efficiently. I got some cheddar and sausage scones, some muffins (orange and cherry tart, banana crumble), and some salted caramel bars. The scones won't make me switch to vegan, but they were pretty good. The muffins and bars were very good. Worth a stop, especially if you're looking for vegan fare.

Drew Clark

My favorite vegan spot in town.

Maggie Judkins

Friendly staff, yummy treats and a cool atmosphere!!! Highly recommend!

John S

Excellent coffee and scones. The shop is beautiful covered house. Do yourself a favor and check out the second story it was magnificent. Cheers

Rich Fraser

Love this place. I visit every time I come through town.

Mackenzie Becker

Been going here for over 6 years & I’ll never stop! The best place to get the tastiest vegan treats in town! This is the place where I go to get special treats for friends, coworkers, or if I’m traveling back home to St. Louis, because ALL my family members love their stuff! (Oh and they aren’t even Vegan!)

Janet Monroe

I have yet to get anything from Mud Pie in KC that I didn't like!

Caitlen Sloan

Mud Pie was a classroom party savior this winter! There were tree nut, egg, and milk allergies in my daughter's class. Everywhere I contacted couldn't accommodate for one reason or another. But Mud Pie was able to provide cookies, icing, and sprinkles as a bundle that the children with all allergies could eat. I was skeptical of eggless, milkless cookies, but you honestly could not tell a difference from homemade sugar cookies and the icing was really good. The building doesn't have much parking, but that should be expected of downtown businesses. They were very nice and helpful during the phone call when ordering as well as at the bakery when picking up. The place itself is really cute.

Cheryl Hernandez

The gluten and lactose free pumpkin donut was great There is a lack of parking.

T Richard

I ordered my wedding cake and my daughter's birthday cupcakes from Mudpie. The first birthday cake I ordered was the gluten free Mostess for my daughter's third birthday. Everybody was so impressed a vegan, gluten-free cake could taste so delicious! I have continued to order cakes and cupcakes for our family special occasions. A family member who swore up and down she did not like vanilla ate at least two of the vanilla gluten free cupcakes. Britt is always amazing and efficient when it comes to orders. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about ingredients and allergies. Visiting Mudpie for a morning treat is always a nice experience. The staff are friendly and efficient. My family just loves being able to have a place to go to where they can 100% trust they are getting exactly what they ordered.

Elena Guevara

Heaven for vegans, I reccomend their savory scones and a cold brew.

Sabrina Diaz

Their food is always delicious and their pastries taste like the real thing! Definitely my favorite place when I was a vegan and I still go to this day ❤

Dorothy Glick

Everything is great here!! I had a blueberry crumble the other day that was out of this world. When my husband and I got married, we had a traditional cake but decided to get several dozen cupcakes here to accommodate our vegan friends. They tasted great and the people at Mud Pie were really easy to work with for our wedding.

Hollie Kirkwood

The red velvet cupcake was divine! Also had a chocolate chip scone and loved it. Quick service and relaxed atmosphere.

Lauren P Wellman

Adorable & delicious! Between the upstairs and downstairs rooms, there's space for groups or quiet studying. Even a play area for kids! The coffee is excellent and the no bake cookies are absolutely incredible- coming from a non-vegan!

Brian Spicher

Tasty baked goods and decent coffee

Lilly Lindsey

My favorite coffee house in the city! I love them like no other!

Deric Schnelle

I love the funky vibe and friendly staff - I went for the cheddar sausage vegan scone toasted - fantastic pick - this place should be a MUST stop going into work for baked goods AND coffee. If you want something sweet go for the orange scone or muffin.

Chris Harris

This bakery is the bomb dot com. Just eat here. You wont regret it.

Izzie

Go. Even if you're not vegan. Just go. It is a fantastic and fabulous place!

Cynthia Olavarria

Love the London Fog and gluten free pastries. My go to place for coffee meetings.

marcia hurlow

Funky, personable and delicious coffee and pastries! Cute old house and delightful counterpeople.

Barry Coates

Great coffee and even better scones and better baked goods. Really friendly staff. We really liked it here.

Alison Kay

My first time here was to meet with my fellow coffee loving mama friend to try something new and we enjoyed their service, atmosphere and offerings. My dirty chai with coconut milk was amazing as well as the lemon blueberry muffin. I've since been back more recently this June with my darling daughters who lovingly indulged in their first Italian Sodas caringly created by the awesomely accommodating Baristas!

Jonny Mitford

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Cruelty free creativity on the go or to chill out inside.

Carrie Parker

Love this place! Staff are super friendly and pastries are amazing!

Meroe Rabieifar

Absolutely delicious goodies! I'm still thinking about those caramel chocolate cookies! How were they vegan? Mmmmm

Megan Tieso

Baked goods are SO good! You wouldn't even know they were vegan :)

Angelique Rickhoff

Staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting alternative milks. The pumpkin donut and vanilla cupcake were delicious! The interior was really cute. They had indoor and outdoors eating and some cute shirts for sale. Wish they had oat milk - only miss for me.

Rachel S.

I love this place. Can be pricey but its worth it. Every thing I have tried is delicious! They have the best Chia Latte. Food is consistently yummy at both locations. If they opened a location closer to me I would be in trouble!!

Deena Horowitz

YUM!!! My colleague and I stopped in and got a whole box of goodies for a meeting. They were a huge hit! All their treats were super moist and tasty, and the cheddar sausage scone was such a great savory option! Must try!

Hilary Bowker

Moved away from KC 10 years ago and was ridiculously excited when this place opened up. I go every time I visit and order 6...7...or 8 treats! Too many to choose from and they're all fantastic! My favorite is probably the chocolate coconut bar.

Andy Caraway

Nice rustic coffee shop and bakery.

Sasha Weber

You know what? I really love this place: high standards, sweet + savory offerings, plus a good variety. The setting is a bright, yellow Victorian on historic 39th Street in a very hip neighborhood. Check out the original hardwoods and sweet penny tile, in the bathroom! Staff has a good understanding of food allergies, and never passes judgement or adds commentary. I'd like to see them use less sugar and put out a cookbook, at least annually. Then, and only then will they achieve mastery. ; ) #bakingninjas

The Speed of Tim

Amazing coffee and ambiance. Just what we needed after a not so great start to the day .The Dirty South is one of the best coffee drinks I have ever had. Thanks for the great start to the day .

Heather Carver

My absolute favorite coffee shop. The staff is always friendly. It has a great atmosphere. The coffee is amazing and the treats are delicious. Definitely a must try. Once you go you’ll be hooked for sure!

cheri watson

Amazing coffee choices, perfect homemade pastries even gluten free, really sweet staff!

Pamela Sherrell

So amazingky good. I have never been one to equate "vegan" with "delicious" ...but they could change me mind. Amazingly friendly, helpful staff. Must try

Matthew Riley

Outstanding vegan baked goods, great service, engaged employees and delicious smoothies and coffee.

OnePing Minecraft

My mom wanted to go here because she has a dairy allergy. The best thing to get is the peanut butter rice krispy. I tried the Holy Cacao shake but was pretty disappointed, had almost no taste. But seemed like a chill coffee place.

Walter Watts

Best gluten free kitchen in Kansas City metro. Love the treats and cozy vibe.

Tim Fretwell

The scone was wonderful and the vibe makes me want to come back.

Caitlyn Huss

I’m from Los Angeles, the land of swanky cafes and vegan delights around every corner... but this place wins. Not only do they make a perfect almond latte, every treat I ate was pure magic. I visited 4 times in 3 days because the espresso was pulled perfectly and every pastry was deliciousssss! I also noticed gender diversity and alternative style, which made me feel safe and comfortable. Every employee was incredibly friendly. I must return!!

Justin Gardner

Best vegan bakery in KC. Coffee is dynamite too. And it's in an old house, so loads of charm. Hopefully this place will be here for decades to come.

Darren L

Good coffee. Great vibe.

Britt Talkington

This place is great! Wonderful coffee and pastries (seriously, try the apple crumb cake and tell me it isn't the best thing you've put in your face), the staff is super friendly, comfy atmosphere. Also if your group of friends includes people with dietary restrictions, everyone can find something here. They got you.

Krista Jamison

Amazing amazing amazing!! I've been here twice now, they have so many choices, the space is fantastic and looks great, it was a peaceful atmosphere and I will keep returning!!

Chelsea F

The real deal! Everything tastes like it's homemade from scratch, is fresh, and delicious!!! Even if you're not a vegan, give this great bakery a try. Also had many gluten free options available.

Hilah Vander Lippe

Staff is so nice and friendly. It'd be nice if they stayed open a touch later. Definitely try the no bake cookies.

SheShawe

So good! Please release a cookbook.

Saber Weekley

I LOVE this place. When I lived in Hyde park I went here often. I’m not vegan and still love this place. There baked goods taste better than any non vegan baked good that I have had. If you haven’t gone you should go. I can’t recall all that I have tried because I’ve been quite a few times. There is a new location closer to me now in OP and I bet they are just as good.

Ben Glover

Good food, fast service, cozy atmosphere!

Anthony C

Friendly, nice atmosphere, old converted 2 story house. A few savory items and a sandwich or two are usually offered along with vegan baked goods. Free fast Internet. Climate control is sub par. Parking is a little tricky, but not terrible.

angela Keller

My husband and I were here from out of town. So glad we found Mud Pie Vegan Bakery!! Best decaf, almond ,vanilla latte ! Vegan baked goods too!! So yummy!

Thomas Cowen

Great vegan desserts and coffee!

Kevin - 13

All vegan, baby! Great tasting food and fine service. Great lil place.

Erik Richison

This vegan bakery needs to come to Tulsa, OK asap. I’m lactose intolerant so looking through all the amazing pastries and muffins they have to pick from was heaven. Even if you aren’t vegan this bakery has some of the most tasty treats I’ve ever had. My wife got a blueberry/lemon muffin and I got a chocolate chip espresso muffin and they were both delightful.

Michelle Maxon

We love this place. Charming old home turned into a cozy & inviting hangout. Delicious variety of baked goods, coffee & teas.

Hilde McKee

Mudpie is my favorite coffee spot in KC. The baristas are friendly and kind, the coffee, espresso and tea are delicious, and the baked goods are phenomenal. They keep a bulletin board of local events and a shelf of flyers for local businesses - definitely check them out. I go at least weekly.
