REVIEWS OF McLain's Market IN Kansas

We visited McLain's Market for brunch one day and I was very impressed. They have SO many goodies you can buy from the bakery and a pretty decent brunch menu. I got the French toast and it was better than I have had in a while. Presentation of all their food is adorable (which I think makes the food taste better somehow). After breakfast I got a chocolate cake bite (dairy free, something else free?) and let me tell you, I would eat 10 of those every day. The manager took my order and was very patient explaining all of my options for the French toast - there are a ton btw. I feel the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurant is rustic and adorable. It feels like an upscale backyard setting. I will be taking my family there next time they're in town!

I was super excited to try this place for breakfast one day and that day finally arrived. I was not disappointed. It was fairly busy when we arrived but the line moved fast and we were able to find a 4 top right away. The dessert counter looks amazing, I definitely wanted one of everything. I know I'm going to have to come back and get a chocolate croissant next time, they look delicious!

Elizabeth Campbell

Went there for brunch on Mother's Day with my kiddos. They were both amazed (and were sort if unprepared to like it since it was new and I picked it--thanks!). The avocado toast was very, very good, and my son loved The Farm! My daughter got the deep fried french toast...just be warned that it is more dessert than breakfast, especially if you say yes to the buttercream frosting (no, I am not joking). Atmosphere is fun and laid back.

Mark Jacobs

Curated menu of tasty food, made from fresh and carefully selected ingredients, served with a smile at a reasonable price with a welcoming atmosphere. Expect this place to be busy, but you should be able to find a seat. Great spot for breakfast, lunch, snack, or just a coffee - eat in or take out.

Fia Ford

The food items taste outstanding. The employees are awesome, and the vibe is uplifting! The best!

Jonathan Modisett

Food was delicious service was great! Employees gave awesome recommendations. I had a cupcake as well so good. Highly recommend

brooke bryan

Tried the chicken salad sandwich because it sounded like a great combination of flavors with cranberries, almonds, cream cheese, & monterrey jack. The chips were also made in the restaurant, which I thought was awesome. However, my sandwich had a strange off-putting flavor which coated my tongue and left me feeling vaguely nauseous. So I was hoping the chips would at least be good, sadly they were all burnt and overly salty. The staff was very pleasant and if it weren't for the food being crummy I would've rated it higher. Overall the items I ordered were substandard but the staff and overall concept, including online presence was positive.

This could be the best bakery and coffee shop in the known universe. It’s not hard to find a bakery or coffee shop (that’s not a chain) in KC if you’re near downtown, but the further south you go, the harder it gets. Enter McLain’s where the baked goods and sandwiches paired with amazing small roasters coffee will blow your mind. Not to mention this is the coziest place (did I just use my wife’s favorite word...cozy?!?) to grab a cup with a fresh and crispy croissant and talk with my wife about how our week was. We love coming here and look forward to every visit.

Brad Grizzle

Best cinnamon rolls and pastries in Kansas City!

Elvi Freudenhammer

Delicious pastries and sandwiches. Friendly service.

Brian Wright

fantastic baked good. great environment. hip, wooden, and industrial. outdoor patio is a gem.

Mikah Barnett

Nice spot, good atmosphere. Had a business meeting here and got a beer on tap. The waitress was apologetic that it had a bit more head than it should. I wasn't at all concerned, but she brought me out a little 1/3 full glass to make up for it! Going the extra mile without being asked is big for me, will definitely visit again.

Whitney Hamilton

If it looks swamped here on Saturday mornings, it’s most likely because people have been waiting 30 minutes for a take-out order. The baked goods are great, but the service and wait are absolutely not worth ordering anything from the kitchen during peak times.

damon peters

Love this place. Excellent cortado, very flavorful avocado toast, strong service, lots of recycling apparent, quality of ingredients is outstanding, novel food items and offerings that we expect on the coast but only occasionally find in the Midwest, so this place really stands out. We visit every time we come through Kansas City.

Geoffrey Ferguson

Busy. Baked goods are definitely the show case items here (literally and figuratively). I had the CBS sandwich and the chicken was fine but the bun was great. Ginger molasses cookie was also great.

K L

As another reviewer wrote, it's also my opinion and experience that the mini cupcakes are rather dry. So, I recommend that people go to cupcake places or Costco or Target for mini cupcakes. As for the cookies, they are fine if I get them fresh, but don't buy the ones that have been sitting in the cardboard box as they taste of cardboard to me. Ugh. In summary, it's too expensive for the varying quality of the cookies. Sometimes, they are very good but other times I get one which seems stale or a cardboard-tasting one.

Alexander Tash

Love the food items that you can get for lunch. The chicken salad sandwich is awesome. The burger sliders are simply the best for a little quick lunch. Good luck finding a seat between 11am and 1pm. This place is completely packed during that time. The only thing taking this down for me was the baked goods like cakes just weren't that good for me. I tried the chocolate cake for my birthday and it was dry, dense and too sweet. You needed water or milk to flush it down and to get the sugar out of your mouth.

Cory Finley

I love McLain's Market, even if it is tye hangout sot for all the Johnson county mom's ;) I love meeting clients there, it's a great vibe, has great food, but most importantly they serve great coffee (POST Coffee!).

Laura Zeurmens

Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are absolutely amazing. Can get a little busy, but in my opinion worth the wait!

Jennifer Miller

The food is simple and fresh. You can enjoy a cold beverage on their patio or sit inside to try one of their delicious baked goods. I have enjoyed everything I have tried so far.

Glenda Watts

Love sitting outside! Wonderful bakery! My first time here!

Robin Oyata

Fresh, great tasting food, pastries, drinks.

Thomas M

Below average. Sandwiches. I could have made a better sandwich at my hotel. I now under stand what it means when someone says “you’re not in Kansas anymore Dorothy”. However, the locals seem to like it. They kept coming in while I was there. You can be the judge. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Carole Stuenkel Ollivierre

Fantastic place. The Pear and Bleu Cheese Salad was delicious! As were the pastries, of course. ;)

morgan snell

Always great service and tasty pastries!

Jennifer Staley

Excellent chocolate croissants, This is our goto bakery for everything fresh-- croissants, butter rolls are the best! Super crowded in the mornings of course but they are well staffed, You can order online Which is super helpful.

Cathy Raymond

It's an awesome place to eat...we loved it and will be going back!

Steve Roberts

Fresh food, friendly & helpful staff in an upscale but casual deli-style market & bakery. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious & the bread was fabulous! I got a salad instead of chips or fries. Salad was fresh & crispy with a yummy cucumber ranch dressing. I didn't try any sweets but they looked & smelled wonderful.

Ginger Anderson

Cream of mushroom soup was awesome. The wait wasn't bad considering how busy they were.

Konrad Sturk

I've been told McClain's Market is affiliated with McClain's Bakery, which is a well-established business in the area. It's obvious when you walk in; the cases are full of beautiful, tempting baked goods. The overhead menus also include plenty of meal selections, though. I just had coffee but my friend said her avocado toast was the best she'd had anywhere and the fries on other diners' plates looked delicious. Any dish with vegetables appeared to have been prepared with fresh vegetables- nothing canned here. You place your order at the counter and it's then delivered to your table when ready.

Bruno Cavendish

This isn't the first time I've stopped by McLain's Market and I don't stop by often as I wish I could since it's out of my way. I was itsy bitsy sad during this visit since I hadn't been for a while and they no longer sell fresh juice in the bottle like they used to. However, there is an abundant amount of beverages to choice for whatever mood you're in whether you want hot or cold.

Dave Johnson

Great people, great food, hard to beat!!!

Sean Berger

This is a weekly staple for me. I stop in for a latte 2-3 times a week right now and have for the past year. Best local coffee shop in the immediate area. Very friendly staff and a good lineup of breakfast items and handmade baked goods. One request: bring back The American sandwich, a personal favorite. 2nd request: start a coffee punch card.

Kimberli Hansen

Amazing selection of gourmet pastries and the staff is so friendly. This place has a great rustic chic ambience and I hope to take my girlfriends to brunch there soon!

Emmy W

Love this place. It's about the only place to get a decent dirty chai latte around Overland Park.

Anneliese Rosenbaum

Good coffee and cute little place, but there was nowhere to sit and since I’d already ordered I couldn’t just leave and go to another coffee shop. So I just went home. Kind of a waste of a trip to a coffee shop if there’s not anywhere to sit.

Scott Carlson

I went in there as usual, last Saturday morning, on my way into work for a cup of coffee and was very surprised and disappointed by their new policy on coffee pricing. They did away with their refill policy, meaning that if you bring in your own cup (so you're not using a paper cup they have to pay for, that will end up in a landfill) they charge you for a large coffee. Funny thing is, if you buy a small coffee you get one free refill. So in essence, with their new pricing policy, they're promoting buying a small coffee with a refill, pouring them both into my travel mug, and throwing their paper cup into the trash, rather than just selling me the same amount of coffee for the refill price and sparing the earth another paper cup. I would hope for a re-think on this policy. I can't support a thriving business that begins to make every decision based on the bottom line, without regard for eco-consciousness and common sense.

Karli Cash

Parking is really tricky! Food is amazing!

Sergey Vaysfligel

Convenient place with good stuff and friendly staff!

chad sternke

Great atmosphere and people. The food is good. The coffee is 8/10 for me... has a more bold flavor, than what I like.

Jon Durney

A little slow to begin but after that good

Tj Haynes

Guess they left the hospitality at the Waldo store. What's the point of being snotty to people who ask for cups of hot water? I can't answer that but apparently that's what happens here. So we've addressed the service, let's talk about the food. Biscuits and gravy are a simple dish, difficult to do wrong but they've achieved it. Horrible, horrible taste. Not sure what they put in it but whatever it was it doesn't belong. Another failure is the egg, sausage and cheese on a sweet roll. There was actually granulated sugar on whatever bread used. I will say that the vegetable quench was ok according to the one who ate it. I've been a customer of the Waldo store since the 80's and the cookies are still great but the new location needs serious work.

scar zaq

Great coffee, psstries, and breakfast sandwich. Took home cookies too!

Greg Scott

They have the best sticky buns in the entire world. The bakery on Gregory seems to always be sold out fast because they are so good. One of my favorite treats.

Robert Kochen

Great location although kinda trendy. Breakfast is the only meal I've tried but always tasty. Con - coffee pot was empty... Didn't subtract any stars for that. Happens.

Ankush Pandit

Nice place to have breakfast. 4 stars because very limited veg entries.

Lisa Drake

Delicious and great portion.

Patric Garrison

My new "refuel during doubles" spot. Quick service, place is decorated well. The hummus is very good.

Norm Rasmussen

Great place to meet. Good breakfast.

John Jones

A very popular place for scrumptious breakfasts, lunch, and pastries.

James Wright

This Bakery and boutique restaurant is excellent.

Lena Hardy

I stopped for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed with my meal! The coffee was great, the food was fantastic and the people were friendly. It was absolutely the best sausage patty I have ever had! I've been doing the Keto diet for several months and have eaten enough sausage to know. This place will be a regular stop for me when I'm in Overland Park.

Tiff Any

McLain's Market is good. Employees are very helpful with suggestions and don't rush you which I appreciate as its usually pretty busy. They are unique in that they offer cocktails. I've not had a bad experience or food here, I just prefer Heirloom Bakery or Blackdog.

Claude Webb

Very nice went on a Saturday was very busy

Michelle Davis

Excellent selection. Great little lunch place. They did give me a salad and forgot the dressing, but everyone makes a mistake every once in a while. Most of the desserts all looked amazing. I had a Snickerdoodle cookie. It was wonderful.

jarrad crafton

Neat little sandwich shop in a nice part of town

Brittany Cutler

I love McLain's Market! Very unique menu and everything is delicious. The atmosphere is great too!

Valerie Fischer

Love this place. Their pastrys are magnificent and their cup cookies are to die for! I will be back to buy my dad some good pastrys that he cant get in the grocery store he normally goes to.

F Ford

Great atmosphere, except the music is a bit loud at times. Service is good. Food is awesome! Highly recommend for bakery items!

Tyler Throckmorton

First time there and they messed up my order all I asked was to add one item to a sandwich and I paid 13 for it and had to wait in line again

Julie Wallace

Super good healthy food here. Love it!

Cody Case

This is a trendy little spot with all kinds of fantastic baked goods and breakfast items!

Stephanie McEvoy

Cool atmosphere and amazing pastries and desserts. Original cocktails and sandwiches also. Great place to meet a friend for lunch or early dinner.

Jeff Heidel

Croissants we had were very good, worth the wait!

Hannah Michelson

Super cute place with friendly people, good food and a nice atmosphere. Loved the Market Wrap and homemade chips. Food came out very quickly. Lovely outdoor space. We'll definitely return to try some of the bakery items which looked delicious!

Jeff Gildersleeve

I had a great chicken salad sandwich, bread was awesome

dalia pan

Great place to eat! Their potatoes are much more tasty than the breakfast potatoes you get elsewhere!

Elaine Kornbau

Excellent pastries. Very busy good parking area. Great place to stop and try.

Marcella Nichols

Average quality pastries and desserts. It is not a place I would go to indulge in a treat because there are better options in the area. I have not tried their lunch options.

Joshua Freudenhammer

The bakery portion of McLain's Market was delightful, but they also offer lunch items at this location. Anyone who has ever tried the Ingredient restaurant when it was open would find the flavor profile to be familiar and deliciously fresh. Unfortunately, they also do some... unique... jams. I wouldn't recommend those, but if a sandwich does stand out, like mine which had Cayenne Mint jam, then give it a try anyway. I thought it was a strange combination, but it wasn't so noticeable that it ruined my meal. I certainly won't be trying that combination at home, but I felt that the risky experimentation was commendable.

Michelle Smith

The gal who checked me out had great suggestions, was willing to answer my questions, and even iced a cookie for me right then and there when he gal in front of me bought the one I was wanting. I had the quinoa bowl and it was super yummy. Plus, they have Thou Mayest coffee on drip! Super great experience, I will be back!

Jeff Winters

Very cool atmosphere for meeting someone over a cup of coffee. There are drip coffee are offerings from local roasters and house specialty drinks. Check this place out and you may never want to go to Starbucks again. :)

Corey Jones

Great local fare and coffee bar. Their pastries are wonderful! Get the almond croissant!

Josh Merryman

Pretty good local cafe food. The fries were a little under seasoned for my liking, but a nice atmosphere. Parking is a bit of a struggle over the noon hour

Sara Sharp

This a small local bakery/ cafe the food is always amazing. Made with all fresh ingredients not only are there pastries top notch but so is the food they sell. Been coming for awhile as a treat to myself I should go more often. My dads favourite cookie is there cup cookies worth the try. Is sometimes pretty busy as they are delicious just make sure not to park in the parking lot next door you can see the sign in the photo below. They do have a drive they now at this location making it so I will be going there more often.

Kate Rehel

The food was tasty but for $9.00 for half a sandwich and salad I expect more than one thin slice of deli turkey on the sandwich. Don't waste your money.

Loren Shanks

Busy with seating challenges but we keep coming back to this place ever Saturday. Food and coffee are wonderful!

Chris Hill

A great place to grab coffee and a good breakfast. My family had a good meal in a very comfortable setting. Worth a try for sure!

Jeff Saale

Long Saturday morning lines, but great pastries and coffee. The Americano is great. I would like to see a 20oz coffee option, and a nitro cold brew (no longer on the menu).

Jeremy Lindsey

Breakfast was so tasty, I ordered the pepper jack burrito. When it first came out I was worried it was a little small for the price, but I was wrong, it was so packed with flavor. We also had the market bowl and biscuits with gravy. Everything was worth it!

Melissa Lawson

Good food, awful parking! I had to park away from Mclains due to the crowd. It's a new place, and everyone stopped by for lunch. I enjoyed my salad and will go back, but I'll wait a bit for the newness to wear off. :-)

Kansas K

The veggie burrito is good. A person in my party had the biscuits and gravy. It was more like hockey puck and gravy.

Drew McMonigle

Absolutely love McLain's, pastries, sandwiches, salads, breads, etc. It's all just delish!

Jim Scardino

Sold out of what I wanted. Had to settle for something else. It's all good.

jeff imel

Food was good. There are a lot of options, even gluten free cookies. Prices are reasonable. The covered patio was a nice place to eat on an 80° day.

Kevin Haley

Very, very good pastries and coffee selection! Today I bought iced carrot cuocake and pumpkin cupcakes with maple icing. After blind taste-testing, the result were a delicious tie! I added a few decorations, but these cupcakes were amazing.

Linda Williams

Love their cinnamon rolls. If you are a fan, you have to try McLain's cinnamon rolls. You won't be disappointed. Seating both inside and outdoors. Quiche is also very good.

Denna Gaskill

They had the cutest cupcakes for Easter. My grandkids really enjoyed them. Bought sugar cookies too. Everyone said they were very tasty. Good prices!

The breakfast here is absolutely delicious. Their pastries are outstandingly good. Every one here working was very nice and happy to help us. The Coffee is top notch, and better than anywhere else. The market bowl is fabulous. You have to try it here!

Thomas Fitzgerald

Always packed at meal times, but they're quick, food is excellent, atmosphere is great, everyone working is friendly, and I love the variety of drinks and pastries. Try the cup cookies. They're the best!

Geoff Geist

Freaking fantastic little almond pastry thing and a decent cup of joe in a cute relaxed coffee joint kind of atmosphere.

Darla Denny

Delicious food always leave happy.

Michael Green

McLain’s is a great concept of a bakery. Selling breakfast bites and sandwiches. This is a top dollar place. Bring your CC. Your going to want everything.

carl markus

Lunch was great... Tryout the salad!

Matt Peppes

One of my favorite places to grab some coffee and fire up the laptop. The atmosphere is always energetic and the food makes for a nice snack in between projects.

Bellagio Bro

I used their drive thru during rush lunch hour, and it was reasonably fast. I had the Market Wrap for lunch, and it was the most delicious wrap I've ever tasted. This place is heaven sent.

Shelby Lawhorn

This place is incredibly bougie, but it's so delicious I don't care. $8 for one slice of avocado toast? Sure. The food and the atmosphere are like a Chip and Joanna Gaines wet dream, which is everything a girl like me loves. Fun spot for a weekend brunch with the girls, and a great place to pick up a freshly-baked hostess gift for the holidays.

Jennifer Adams

Ceaser salad and tomato soup were delicious. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Chris Edin

Great atmosphere. Our sandwich wasn’t that great. Has wifi and lots of quite places to think.

J H

Good food very friendly staff. Only reason it’s not getting five stars is because it’s pricey for a bakery/sandwich shop.

Patrick Vanstrom

I really enjoyed the coffee here. The layout isn't ideal for the beverage station if it was busier though. The Apple Danish is delicious and I look forward to having breakfast or lunch here in the future!

Rob Nowell

Great food. Super hipster vibe, but not annoyingly so.

Dana

Great menu, comfy atmosphere

Joel Snyder

Hi there, I didn't take any photos of McClain's Market when I was in the restaurant on Saturday morning for my breakfast at about 9:00am and I really enjoyed going to this restaurant. I went with my mom who lives in Kansas City, MO right now. (I really needed to have my lower back x-rayed Saturday morning at 8:00am. I did have my lower back x-rayed Saturday morning and so I really hope that I'll be fine with my doctor who is Kansas City, MO. She made the order at the Imaging Center in Overland Park, KS on Friday afternoon at 5:00pm and so I really hope that she has an opportunity to view my x-rays on Monday morning because I hope that I'm going to be fine. :) )

connie brawner

Just getting cupcake and a cookie.

Mary Walker

Great food and drink offers

James Ward

Delicious bakery goods, awesome sandwhiches, great coffee, teas & beer... I especially enjoy the burger sliders & chicken strips w/ coffee infused bbq sauce but have also had the turkey sandwich, hummus & some of the "lighter" foods as well. Everything seems made from scratch or atleast close too it, if not - still very high quality & great atmosphere & decor.

Willis Warren

delightful salad, love the drivethru!

John Duncan

McClain's has the best baked goods, great salads and other excellent food. We try to eat there when we are in KC.

Darla Creamer

Hands down the best bakery in Kansas City! I love love love this yummy place!! Just one smell when you walk thru the doors & your going to know you just walked into a great comfort spot.

Hanah Ramsey

Seriously my favorite place in Kansas City. Everything in the bakery is to die for. You just cant go wrong. The price is a little high but its so worth it! And even for lunch the CBS and Cobb Salad are the best in the area. The only thing I don't enjoy is the Ranch its very watery..but everything they sell is juicy enough that you don't absolutely need it! The coffee is ok! Not anything super special, but a decent cup. Other then that the works are always sweet. Always expect a little wait at all 3 of there locations because they are just from open to close everyday. I wish they would stay open later as well! But its definitely fitting for a breakfast/lunch spot!

Jan Marie

The food is amazing here

Theodora Stevens

Words cannot describe this place!!! We freaking loved the menu and everything we ordered! Go for it and try something different, you won't regret it! Sweets are delicious as well!

Laura Dusheke

Online order for 6 of us was ready on time (even a few minutes early, actually) and everything was prepared perfectly! Of course, can't go in to pick up lunch without also getting lots of desserts and pastries. Everyone is so friendly and the ambience is just what you'd hope for in a cafe when staying in to enjoy coffee and breakfast, or lunch.... Love, love, love McClain's!!!!

Gisela Fajardo Rodriguez

Great place with awesome food! Plenty of seating and a drive thru! I had their sunflower toast and a latte. Would highly recommend! Staff is super friendly and service is fast but quality food.

Nathan Schad

My wife and I live an hour away and came in to the store at 5:30pm to buy a bag of coffee because we had a gift card there. The doors were unlocked, we walked in, and she told us she couldn’t help us that someone rented out the space. I said “we were just wanting to purchase a bag of coffee not have it made.” And she said....”sorry. I can’t. I would do it for you but I want to honor them.” I don’t think hosting events during normal business hours is smart or helpful for your customers.

Lisa Masters

Online ordering is easy. The food is always ready before the alotted time. Staff are ready to help.

Chad Palmer

Great spot! Very fresh taste and very reasonably priced. Perfect for a light feeling meal.

Justinmzack

Serendipitous experience at McLain’s Market yesterday. Let me set the scene: Insanely busy with Mother’s Day. They are literally sold out of nearly every bakery item and there must be 30 people in line. As I am about two people away from reaching the cashier a brand new, fresh pan of cinnamon rolls come out (picture included). These instantly become the most sought after item it the store. I, by stoke of good luck, manage to acquire one of the highly sought after roles. Have to say, one of the Top 3 best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. Warm, gooey, flake lay, and warm. HIGHLY recommend!

Andy Kogan

Always good. Only complained as I wish they had larger drinks.

Wade Walker

Quality food and coffee. Victim of it's own success has created massive crowds all the time

gadamsetty sneha

We went for Fried French toast and bacon wrap. It was worth the buck and quite filling. A nice and cute spot which usually even has open tables on Sundays

Elizabeth Welch

Made my wedding cake and then my daughters. Best ever since I was a wee girl.

Shaun Comfort

Good food & drinks. Friendly staff.

Steve Perry

After finding out that Dean & DeLuca closed, I went down the road to give McLain's a try. It looks like they remodeled an old QuikTrip which looked really nice and fits right in for the Johnson county area. This was my first time here. The woman taking my order was quite helpful in explaining the size of their breakfast sandwiches and had patience with me in trying to figure out my options. I tried the Pepperjack Burrito which actually had some heat to it. I like spicy food, but for some reason I just wasn't in the mood first thing in the morning. I did better after finding some water since hot coffee wasn't a good pairing. I also tried the Plain and Simple sandwich, which looked fantastic, but unfortunately the name described the flavor. The sandwiches weren't bad, just not as nice as expected. I got a couple of cookies. For my wife, I got her a gluten free monster cookie that she ended up tossing since it was really dry. I also got her a gluten free chocolate cookie with chocolate chips and she really enjoyed it. For myself, I got an iced cookie and it was also very dry. I'm a little disappointed in the baked goods considering they are a bakery. As for the coffee, they had a couple of local brands available, but I tried one that I haven't heard of before called Post. Fantastic! I would like to give McLain's credit for offering such wonderful coffee and the next time I'm in the area, I would totally stop in for a cup and maybe give another cookie a try if they are fresh. On a follow-up visit, while in the area, I purposely stopped in for a cup of Post coffee, but disappointlying found out that they don't carry Post anymore and are only offering their own brand of coffee. I found myself driving to Post in Lee's Summit. My star rating didn't change since I didn't try anything on this second visit.

Anatollo Crosswhite

I stopped in for lunch on my birthday and ordered something simple. Just chicken fingers, I thought, "Man it seems a little odd on this menu." But it was also recommended by the young girl who was my cashier. It took a little bit longer than anticipated, but it was FULL. I have an hour lunchbreak and I stull had plenty of time to eat. My chicken was clearly breaded and fried in house with very good breading. I was caught by surprise by how good the chicken was. I also ordered a scone that was huge and delicious. Not at all expensive. I WILL most definitely return again.

Stacey H

Great meeting space with a tasty bakery and coffee/tea selection.

Amanda Abrahams

A cute place with yummy pastries and coffee.

Rev. Ted Pierce

Packed at lunch...parking is tough, but good food

Gordon Jones

Great coffees, pastries, breakfast....my new go to for coffee!

Angela Roam

Awesome chicken salad sandwich! Wanted to try all the sweets but limited myself to a peanut butter bite, cake bite and oatmeal cookie. All were amazing! Go here it's a great place!

Charlene Biles

Food was good. Nice employees. Restroom was out of service.

Andrew Schumann

Great vibe. I was raised in the south so the chicken salad was a bit bland and “leawood-y” for my taste. Went there for a meeting, great fun spot!

Amanda M

Good food, great service, fair price!

Luke Hillin

Food was great, sandwiches, baked confections, coffee and tea all tasted delicious.

Victor Buller

Did not try the food, but the coffee was good. The people were friendly and I like the layout. And they have a shaded patio; but it is being renovated as of this review.

Christian Hinton

Really impressed they fit this space into an old gas station. Lively busy place, but the service was prompt and the food was excellent for the price.

Denise Martin

I love the chicken salad!! Their bakery products are amazing! And their ice tea is really good! Very uncomfortable chairs and stools. Not enough seating at lunchtime.

Benjamin Johnston

It’s really good food, and love the atmosphere. I gotta say though, the staff is really making it hard to keep going. They get irritated when my wife wants to modify a simple drink order and often get it wrong. Our most recent visit, we waited in the drive-thru 15 min for a small order, finally went inside to ask about it. It still wasn’t ready and guy tried to make me feel bad for asking politely about it and said he was happy to cancel it. I went out of my way to be polite and was shocked at his response. This kind of service unfortunately happens often with a few people, we used to go often enough to avoid them. Kind of over it now.

Brian Egbert

Delicious breakfast stop within walking distance of me! Perfect for slow weekend mornings.

Jack Sippel

Great pastry baked on site. Lunch today was chicken salad on multigrain toast with tomato bisque...delicious. The soup had a smoky hint that was a plus. Better than average tea selection. Very crowded....because it's THAT good...and it was too cold to sit on their large patio.

Very delicious breakfast food. Homemade custom pies and coffee cakes are delicious. very cute atmosphere and setting inside. Well worth the trip.

Fresh, delicious breakfast. I ate the market bowl and it was perfectly seasoned. The bakery is a plus also.

One of my favorite spots when I'm in the area! Love that they have Shatto milk and every sandwich I've had so far has been unbelievably good!! Highly recommended!

The chicke sandwich is very good. The girl that waited on me at the window was very polite.
