Great-tasting, lightweight desserts that remind me of home. They are perfectly fluffy, not too dense, melt in your mouth, and just the right amount of sweet. We used their pillow top cakes (fourth photo) and ellipse cheesecake as our wedding cake bases (fifth photo for result), by applying some homemade icing whipped out of heavy cream on top. They were a hit with the family! ♡

After coming back from visiting Taiwan, what I missed most of all was the bakeries. This place is amazingly authentic, high quality, affordable... it's the closest you'll get to Taiwanese baked goods without going to Taiwan itself!

I had no idea this little gem existed until i stumbled upon it, and boy am I glad I did. I went in for cheesecake and came out with 3 different kinds of it, tiramisu (absolute heaven), a chocolate cake slice, and a bread that the shop owner threw in for free. Everything was so wonderful! I can't wait to visit again. Definitely not going to be so shy on the breads either. That sample he threw in blew my mind. This guy knows his stuff and I couldn't be happier.

I was so excited to try this place after I found it but then they had a month closure (make sure you check their Face Book before deciding to go). I tried a sampler of the different sweets and loved the Snow White & the Tiger Roll. Wish they had printed receipts for CC transactions though. Definitely an unique bakery to seek out!

I havent been to their bakery but they have their breads with the filling at the Chinatown store at downtown kc market and they a good Soft, buttery, and delicious! I have to make my way to their bakery to try the other goodies

This is hands down my favorite bakery in Kansas. All of the sweets here are lightweight, fluffy and *don't have too much sugar*!! A lot of the other bakeries I've been to make things disgustingly sweet, but not Formosa. They also have a great variety of more savory items, and the prices are unbeatable.
