REVIEWS OF Clock Tower Bakery & Cafe IN Kansas

James Warren

Good food, clean, good service, locally owned. I had a beef, potatoes and cheese thing. It was delicious, I will go back.

Susan Quandt

A quaint little coffee shop in downtown OP. I like bread, all their bread! The dessert case is amazing, it's very hard to choose just a couple things. I love their French Macrons, my favorite flavor is goat cheese and fig! I love their million dollar cookie, I think that's what it's called, it's a huge layer of sugar cookie, a layer of delicious caramel, and chocolate on top. It truly is amazing.

Heather Taylor

What a lovely place! We enjoyed a very authentic high tea experience at the Overland Park Clock Tower Bakery & Cafe that reminded us of great times in England. Note: reservations are required in advance (and the planning is worth it!) Highly recommended!

Jason Ebberts

Theresa, the owner, will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. We love the baked goods here, and have used their cakes for several birthdays. They were all hits! I really enjoy the breakfast

Joe Kline

great food and good service

Amy Eulert

First time and I will be back!

J.L. Clemente

They have really good British and European pastries and a variety of desserts. We took home a number if different ones and they were all good! The French Macaroons just melt in your mouth!

Lori Cook

We had iced coffee and it was good.

Victoria Bowman

Okay, no joke, the goat cheese and fig macaron is the best thing I've eaten all week. This place is awesome!!!

Robert Riviere

Great place for a morning coffee and pastry. Many options for a quick breakfast.

Jaye Murray

5 stars for the Macarons. They were really good. $2.25 a piece which is what most people charge. HOWEVER, the cake was so dry and crumbly. It was the worst piece of cake I've ever had. I drove all the way there to surprise my son with a piece of cake for becoming spelling Bee Champion, but he only at the frosting, which was also dry and crumbly.

courtney madison

Really great but very costly but I still go

bruce spear

The woman working the register was extremely helpful & forthcoming with all of the information on their cakes & other desserts. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Samantha Arbegast

I love this place! I was wanting to try fresh macarons, and this was one of the places listed. We came and found a treasure trove of tasty things! The macarons, of course, are fantastic-- I recommend the vanilla, lavender, and the fig and goat cheese flavors. The cottage pie is incredible!

Rachelle Cauthon

Love this bakery, my daughter and I go here all the time. I forgot they were closed on Mondays - when I pulled up outside with my daughter in the back, someone came out and apologized for being closed and gave us two cinnamon rolls - in the rain!

Mark Benfer

This is a great little cafe with some amazing food!

Beth Sorensen

Clock Tower Bakery is a great find in old OP. Everything that I have tried has been delicious! My favorite items are the orange rolls and the steak bakes. We also went this past weekend to the Christmas afternoon tea. Everything was outstanding, from the finger sandwiches to the pastries to (my favorite) the scones with clotted cream and jam. The owners are personable and really take pride in their product. Definitely go pay them a visit!

Laura Zeurmens

I've tried the blackberry Danish and a lot of the macarons flavors. Everything was exceptionally tasty and fresh. Macarons seem so difficult to get just right and I've never had a bad one from them.

Jeremy Smith

Love this place. When I do have time in the mornings to gobdiwn to the market this is where I go to relax and have some tea and breakfast pizza its the best. I have read some of the reviews and some are right and some are wrong every business has off days but if you have a problem it is easier to fix it there than to go home and complain about your experience behind a computer... Thanks clock tower me and my family will be back

Kevin Riley

Very good. Good variety. Small and cosey.

Jessica Gebbett

I love this little bakery. I get a roasted veggie wrap almost everyday. Shame they are closed on Sundays! As for my most favorite sweet treats I would pick either the millionaire shortbread or i would choose a salted caramel cupcake. YUMMMM

Meredith Keith

My favorite bakery in the Kansas City area. They have a unique assortment of pastries and always use fresh ingredients which adds great flavor that isn't too rich. I would grab a sweet treat here every morning if I could. Also, their breakfast pizza is AMAZING! We will be back.

Rebeca Rviron

The food is amazing but the attitude of some of the employees turns a great experience into a bad one. Breakfast pizza is really great and I love pistachio macaroons. I assumed it was just the attitude of some employees and should not reflect the owner but after looking at the reviews and seeing the owners responses to people I can see it is an attitude problem going all the way up the line.

Anjali Mannava

Had such a special Afternoon Tea. Amazing service and delicious food. Strongly recommend! Made me feel like I was across the pond

Jason Jordan

Authentic English food made fresh daily with a comfortable place to eat. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

Daniel Owens

Such a great place for breakfast and lunch! Everything I have gotten there has been amazing! I tried one of their pizzas the other day and it was superb. The place is very clean and tidy and has an open kitchen so you can see the bakers working! Would highly recommend!

J-lee Ri

Very cute and very good! A bit pricey for my taste. However, its very tasty and private. If you're looking for a fun place to sit and enjoy your lunch is moderate privacy it is a great place to go!

Michael C.

A nice nugget in Old Overland Park. Everything is made in the small restaurant and you can see the baker's working just beyond the counter. A quaint little place. Average cost for some deliciousness.

Janet Dekosky

personal Price

Charity Schmidt

Good variety of bakery items. Busy with people!

Nancy Birmingham

Good food. Good service. Excellent tiramisu.

Alley Stonestreet

I love such a cute local establishment that hosta delicious treats and has great customer service. Tried their English shortbread cookies, two thumbs up! Their cherry roll looks like a cinnamon roll, tastes like coffee cake, and is a perfect little treat. Definitely stop by if you can!

Jeff Eck

Small town feel, staff was kind and good was great. Wife had a British favorite and I had pepperoni pizza. She was very happy with her meal, mine was good as well. Clean bathrooms, clean environment, parking was close.

Pansy Goheen

I love the selection here! Everything is fantastic! Great pastries, great location, and great staff. They also have a breakfast pizza which is to die for and every time I get a cake from there it’s beautiful and delicious! I definitely recommend this place for all custom bakery orders. My favorite bakery in Overland Park.

Phil Lowry

Really enjoy the clock tower bakery! Being a transplanted Brit I was excited to hear of the bakery. Enjoyed everything I've had there. Sausage rolls, pasties and steak bakes are just as good as back in England. Went to the Christmas high tea there and had a great time. Staff is very friendly and timely! Definitely worth a visit.

Nicholas Brooker

Simple Review: Friendly staff, fresh food, British baked goods and an alright cup of Roasterie coffee or Tea.

Shannon Mullican

Good food, friendly staff, excellent service.

Kelly Murphy

Beautiful bakery with an english twist on things!

Ryan Davis-Pickens

Friendly and very helpful staff. Nothing in the stores looks less than mouth watering.

Adam Juarez

I was helping with a wedding when we got word 2 hours before the ceremony that the wedding cake had been destroyed and could not be salvaged. After racing around and calling every bakery I could find, the team at Clock Tower returned my call and said they could make a new cake in time for the ceremony. Even with such short notice the staff went above and beyond to make and decorate a 2 tier cake, and offered a decorative cake for pictures if needed. The cake was ready and at the reception hall before the newlyweds stepped in to the room. Thank you for stepping up in our time of need!

Robert Windler

Wonderful place with a tasty breakfast pizza.

MEG O

Delicious breakfast pizza.

Elaine Phillips

I just had the pleasure of trying the Clock Tower Bakery Macarons... OMG absolutely fantastic! I had a box with several flavours, all fantastic... would definately recommend...!

Ruthie Branham

Most delightful relaxing and delicious foods! It’s like going back to Europe for a lovely coffee or tea! The cakes are delicious not overly sweet the pastries are delicious sausage rolls and Cornish pasties are out of this world! The owner is a most gracious lady and very welcoming and takes time to talk to her clients. Highly recommend a visit for 15 minutes or an hour it is relaxing and Cosy, the bread aroma is so comforting ! Take a step back out of hustle and bustle and enjoy “break time”

Gigi Woodman

Food is good. Sandwiches etc..Their scones rock! Cookies also very good. Staff is hit n miss. One of them somewhat unfriendly if not somewhat rude. Asking about allergy info seems an imposition.

Alison Hoober

Really like her bread and sweet buns. Good place to get a sandwich.

Andrew Chavera

I went here one day and it was spectacular awesome

Carol Stone

Best cinnamon roll ever!

Ryan Ortbals

Great food and amazing pastries, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, etc. Baked fresh!

Mike Neu

Delicious pastries. British treats. And comfy atmosphere. A must try for baked goods fans.

Ryan Rivera

This is a wonderful inn located a couple of blocks from downtown Bellevue. For a downtown hotel, this inn offers wonderful amenities - esp. free parking, free breakfast and free wifi. The rooms were spacious and clean with working & controllable heaters. There were Aveda toiletries in the bathrooms. Our room had 2 washbasins - one in the bathroom and...

Ashley Barforoush

The owner, Teresa, is my British Fairy Godmother! She saved the day when I needed a last-minute spot to host my mom's surprise birthday tea. We felt like we stepped into London in the middle of downtown OP. From the macarons to the scones to the assortment of teas, the entire experience was deliciously scrumptious. Everything tastes better when it's served on 3-tiered-trays! I am forever grateful for Teresa and her tea-time team!!

Shauna Anderson

Fantastic cupcakes. We tried 4 different kinds and they were all excellent.

Jasonator53

My goodness! There is so much good stuff there! The customer service is AMAZING, and the employees are always helpful and smiling! Their pastries are The Best, and the pizzas are amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Or two. Or three. Or four.

Teri Ault

Lemon ginger scone. My husband's favorite.

Jan Daly

Very pleasant English afternoon tea

Emily Curry

This place is superb. I've absolutely loved everything I've ordered, and the atmosphere is quiet and unassuming. The staff is friendly and helpful. Completely addicted to their cinnamon rolls! O.o

Kerri Brisendine

Really good baked goods. Excellent pizza. Great service.

Kathy Johnson

my husband and I stopped in today and ordered a blueberry tart and a cherry tart. Oh my....heaven in a tart! This is some of the very best pastry we have ever had in town and even in Paris. Really top rate and we will be back!

mlmatile

Amazing food

Tuner Hall

The morning after my daughter was born at Overland Park Regional I purchased 4 dozen assorted pastries and scones for the nurses. We had just moved here from Connecticut and love that we found this bakery that reminded us so much of the quaint and quirky mom and pop cafes and bakeries in Simsbury. The young lady that helped me was so sweet and welcomed me to the OP. The baked goods were excellent and the nurses ate every single one.

Carla Kelley

Wonderful English Afternoon Tea that was kindly accommodated on New Years Eve 2018. We enjoyed ourselves immensely with the great tea, tea sandwiches, and yummy tea desserts. Savory or sweet, the food was exceptional. Thank you so much for helping us to make a special memory.

Robbie Arney

My daughters and granddaughter just finished an afternoon tea and it was delicious. The service was great and plentiful. We carried leftovers home. We drove from Topeka and it definitely was worth it.

Paul Williams

My daughter and I went there for breakfast and as part of her touring top rated coffee establishments in and around KC. I had a chocolate croissant and she had a beef pie. Both were fantastic. The coffee was OK but the British food is quite the attraction. Being able to watch your future meals being prepared in the open bakery also was a lot of fun.

Gregory Ramirez

We stopped here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We had 2 of the pastry dishes which were delicious. They also had various drinks available, coffee and teas. There were a variety of pastries that all looked good, so we took home for later. Worth a return visit.

Brandon Day

What a unique and surprising place! Where else in Kansas can you get a Cornish Pasty and Sausage Roll???

Alejandro S

Nice place, helpful staff.

Dani Augustin

I like the atmosphere and selection this place has. The macaroons were amazing and there was a great selection. They were also beautiful to look at. I ordered a cake for my company and the raspberry buttercream was delicious. The decorations were also great for not giving them much to go off for ideas. The only thing I was disappointed in was the cake was dry instead of a moist that I was expecting. Other than that, it was a good cake. I will probably come back for more desserts, but I'm hoping the next time I order a cake it will be less dry so that I can make this place a permanent go-to for cakes.

Jea Lynn

Love this place❤️

Linda Burris

Attended Victorian tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great staff and the tea and food served was excellent. Have eaten there for lunch also and and have been pleased with what I have had.

Mathew Hoelting

Love this place for a coffee and pastry!

Samson Bien-Aimé

I used to have sausage rolls a lot while I studied in Europe. This is not something you'll find laying around every patisserie in the Midwest or the whole country for that matter. Was pretty happy to hear that an authentic European baker had purchased the place and started offering sausage rolls! Well, these were amongst the best sausage rolls I've had! I got a few and baked them at home for breakfast. Love them hot out of the oven - the way it's supposed to be!

Claire Caterer

Best scones in town, hands down. The croissants are buttery and fresh, just like those in Paris. The bread is wonderful too, but get there early--there's always a run on it Saturday mornings. :)

Kiera D

This is a wonderful little bakery!! The millionaire's shortbread is amazing. I want to try the Sausage Roll as I have heard they are to die for (I need to get there early as they sell out fast!!!) You can call ahead and order them before you arrive also. I highly recommend stopping in and checking out this bakery. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I also really like the combination of US/British atmosphere and menu.

John Pfotenhauer

We had their breakfast pizza, cinnamon roll, cranberry scone with some coffee and everything was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Monte Scotten

Went here for first time and it won't be the last. Had the meat pie and didn't leave a bite. It was so good. Next time I'll try the pizza.

Ryan Mathes

Let me say, they've got the best dang brownies I've ever had. They're dense, they're heavy, yet they're flavorful and not dry at all. I wish I was able to get up here more often to get brownies more often.

Jeremy Nelson

Cream tea with scones just like in the UK but a rare treat in the US!

Mark Shane

Calm oasis I'm old downtown OP! LOVE the sausage rolls!

Katie Diedrick

Like so many others here, I heard about threw macaroons and had to get them. But everything else was delightful - the atmosphere is relaxing, the pastries are perfectly flakey, and everyone agrees that the Macaroons are AMAZING! I'll definitely have to visit again!

Karry Rood

Love the breakfast pizza, the sausage rolls, the scones, oh heck, I love all of it, even the tea.

Amanda Sweet

Go for afternoon tea on Saturdays. Reserve in advance.

Linda Puetz

If you are wanting a wide variety of freshly made from scratch delicious baked goods and pizzas made and baked when you order, this is your spot! This is our favorite place for delicious scones, croissants, cookies, macaroons, brownies, and other delightful treats. Try Clock Tower Bakery - you'll love it!

Charlie Null

Nancy Lamar

Lovely Bakery, yummy treats, friendly staff.

Anthony Gallo

consistent home made yummies with sweets and gourmet and breakfast pizzas including an awesome bakery selection

Alex Pangilinan

We stopped by after some games of tennis for a quick brunch. The place was packed but everyone was very warm and welcoming upon entering the bakery/restaurant. As recommended by a good friend, I ordered their English breakfast pizza which they serve freshly baked and is not your typical pizza! Indeed, I was very pleased with it. I'll definitely be back to try more of their foods!

Truf Ula

Nice place. I was a little disappointed they don't have esspreso.

Katie Tannahill

Great service and amazing food! The cinnamon rolls were soooo fluffy

Stephanie Casteel

Lovely place & lovely people. Food is great. I had the veggie wrap today, but I've had desserts from them as well. Always tasty and always friendly!

Jonathan Ash

Great eclare and coffee.

angela Nestler

Food was delicious..

Jessica Powell

Authentic, Lovely High Tea! I attended the Mother's Day High tea and it was absolutely wonderful We had the Buckingham Palace Garden tea, and it was wonderful. The scones were delicious, and the dessert and sandwiches were amazing. Everything was fresh and served promptly. The owners were delightful people and gave us excellent advice on visiting London! I am so glad I found this place, I've been missing attending a real high tea ever since I visited Scotland. I definitely recommend Clock Tower Bakery & Cafe for any special occasion!

Blaze Capper

Recently treated ourselves to their Afternoon Tea for our anniversary. You call a day in advance and when you get there you are treated to a specially set table for your party. They have a nice selection of teas to choose from and the platter they bring out has many different sweets and little sandwiches. For two pretty big guys we left feeling full and satisfied. They have many British specialities that are harder to find around town. I have had their cottage pie and curried chicken sandwich for lunch and both were wonderful.

Placher Sieben

Good food, great bakery. Only negative is the table layout is tight making it hard to move around when the place gets busy.

Dave Hines

Try the famous orange roll if you get there early enough to score one. They had three when I was there around ten AM. Other standouts were a meaty and cheesey ham and cheese croissant and a blueberry cream cheese danish, but pretty much anything will be good. These folks definitely know their stuff. Glad I finally made it after having them on my "gotta try" list for years. I'll be back for sure.

Kristen Geary

Great pastries! Friendly staff

Alice Watson

One of my favorite bakeries around! Always in the mood for their sweets and their fresh coffee!

Mark Ronfeldt

Wonderful pastries and goodies! The warm sausage rolls are the best!

Shaun McNamee

My wife and I went in this past weekend. The staff was friendly, and offered recommendations for our breakfast. We went with the breakfast pizza and a cherry roll. The roll was tasty, and the pizza was similar to a quiche. Everything was wonderful, I plan on going again soon!

Amber Drake

I get my daughter's birthday cake here every year. The owner sits down with her and talks about what she wants and what I need and always comes up with something everyone is impressed with. This is also an excellent place for tea at any time and close to the farmers market and other neat shops that just add to the experience. The people here are friendly and attentive, the food is made from scratch and delicious, and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable.

Liam Reilly

A cute little pastry shop with great pastries and coffee. You have to try the macarons; so many flavors to choose from.

British Gala

Nice cottage pie. Lovely deserts. The new management is so much better than before.

Casey K

We are regulars. We come in for treats and sometimes get cupcakes and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I love it when I find bread which they sell in limited quantities. This is one of my favorite places ever.

Johannah White

Lots of delicious well made pastries here. I especially like the orange and cherry rolls. It's like a cinnamon roll except with fruit. Roasterie coffee is served with the goodies as well. At least one of the owners is British, so that explains the sausage rolls, pasties, and millionaire shortbread--all very tasty!

Tre Uccellini

Lovely little place! Great service, and delicious treats. Their tea service is splendid. Must try!

Kristen Self

This place has macarons to die for. Their lemon slice is the best cake I've ever had. They make their own jam and if you're really wanting a great experience, schedule an afternoon tea with them for you and your friends. They bring you a choice of teas served in China on beautiful table linens. Then they treat you to an assortment of sandwiches , sweet and savory treats and a delicious scone with their house made jam. You'll feel so decadent.

Jenneeffer Class

I was excited to buy French macaroons but it turned out that they are not fresh. I bought a box of 8 and they were fridge cold and hard. That wasn't a big deal, the big down was that the pistachio one was terrible! The filling was completely SOUR. My husband took a bite thinking I was overreacting but he almost threw up. I was visiting town and leaving so I couldn't turn around and let them know but I would've. Whi knows how long they're being baked and stored.

Karen Russell

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 87th birthday with a lovely afternoon tea! They were ready for our arrival, took wonderful care of us and made our event even more special with their wonderful service and delicious goodies!

Ashley Wagner

Nice place with good selection. Hate that they’re not open on Sunday since the weekends are the only time I would go there though

Azakarian Zakarian

Cute as can be...great good and experience!

Sarah Bussanmas

Absolutely loved it! The owners were sweet, definitely a mom and pop shop. Best pizza I've had in a decade hands down. The kids loved their brownies can't wait to go back and try more!

Aaron Taylor

My go-to place for coffee around the Farmer's Market. It's a staple of my visits to the area and one of the few places that still serves Roasterie (drip) coffee.

Raja Reed

Wonderful bakery and pastry. Scones are fantastic. Placed a order for 3 dozen ready when I arrived and they were a big success. Lemon bars are fabulous. Will return for high tea.

Tyler Korso

We ordered our wedding cake from Clock Tower and couldn't have chosen a better bakery. The cake was beautiful and super delicious, we got so many compliments! Great for smaller weddings on a budget like ours and Teresa was extremely helpful and prompt in responding to any question I had.

Nicole Bissey

Curried chicken salad sandwich is the bomb. All desserts are so tasty. I want to check out their afternoon tea; as someone who has had afternoon tea in England, it looks about as legitimate as it gets. The owner is originally from England and super sweet.

Sarahlovee

Mom and Pop style bakery. Probably the best pizza I've had in over a decade. The kids loved it. It was a little pricey but totally worth it. They closed and let us go ahead and finish our food anyways which I thought was very sweet. There was an event going on down town and I'm sure they were ready to be done but they were sweet and stayed.

Rita Muro

Sausage rolls are great

John Laundy

Good food and not a bad place to get a pizza.

Alyssa Carney

Incredible cinnamon rolls

Kristin Chermok

Nice meal and good prices.

Michael Jaume

I find the Clock Tower Bakery to be a nice little cafe in downtown Overland Park nestled not far from the Farmer's Market. I highly recommend this lovely cafe and as far as food goes, everything looks good but the pastys and bakes are very delicious especially with a nice cup of tea (I prefer a nice Earl Grey, English Breakfast and Darjeeling) and remember when you drink your tea, keep your pinky up!

Natalie Minor

Me and my fiance had a wonderful first experience it was a very special time with their afternoon tea

bkleppy

They've a friendly staff that will take good care of you if you're unsure of where to start on the menu. You can tell from the taste of the food that it was made fresh with quality ingredients. I've never been disappointed here.

Ruth Maguglin

Breakfast pizza it's really good. Love the tiramisu cake and the cranberry/pistachio cookies.

William Von Kaenel

Any less than 5 stars for this place would be very disrespectful. Awesome pastry joint.
