Don't bring your husbands here paying with their cards. The owner has a tendency to look them up by name and send messages/photos to their personal social media accounts. Their Instagram business page for Rockets Donuts is highly unprofessional. Should not be used to message anyone's Husband privately from a business page. Staff is highly unprofessional. Will not be going back to this Home-wrecking Donut shop. I'm only giving this one star because that's what it takes to post my message otherwise there would be NONE!

Omg the apple fritters. I've never had better. Some of their donuts are too sweet for me, but you can't go wrong with the fritters. We also love the pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls.

Great variety from basic to very creative. All the doughnuts have a unique flavor to them almost like a funnel cake, which is delicious. They are in my personal top 3 doughnut shops.

Honestly I don't think it's all that fabulous. The one time I ordered a cream filled donut instead of filling the donut they just cut it in half and slathered cream on it. It's convenient since Johnson's Bakery isn't around anymore but otherwise it's okay. Decent sizes for the price.

We had an X-fritter (apple and berry) and a peanut butter bowtie; both were delicious, and easily twice the size of an average donut. The coffee was really good too, and they have Hansen's milk.

They have some topping options you can't get at a gas station, but there is nothing unique or gourmet. The staff was awfully rude and unhelpful. The only real novelty here is the lack of other shops - everyone in the area uses 50 year old recipes and styles. Throwing some cereal on the same 50 year old recipe and then being a jerk while you serve it to me, like you're some kind of social elite... won't go back - not worth the wait or cost.

Rockets was extremely good! We went on a Sunday and had to wait 15-20min, but it was well worth it. The donuts were still hot when we ate them, and super soft. The staff even offered to a lady in front of us to make a version of a filled donut non-filled because of what she wanted and the food was coming out so fast. Well recommended, can't wait to go back!

I understand it's new and everyone wants to try it, but it was VERY small place, busy and everyone was trying to huddle inside and form some "sort" of line because it's cold. The menu needs to be bigger right behind the registers so people can actually read it. Currently it's a small white board off to the side They didn't have very much to choose from, granted we got there 4 hrs after they opened, so understandable. Seems they only make so many of each donut and when it's gone, it's gone. But you don't know this until you get up there and already have your mind made up what you want. I was overall not impressed, the donuts were good and pretty big, the staff was friendly, however, i feel you can get the same quality/ taste at hyvee bakery... for cheaper. I'm willing to try again, but overall first impressions weren't great.

Rockets bakery has a great selection of Bismarks and other donuts. The strawberry lemonade Bismarks are AMAZING! It's a small place with a couple tables, but perfect for stopping through and picking up some donuts on your way. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're in Waterloo, I would highly recommend stopping here!
