Love World Market! We go several times a year, especially around the holidays. Huge selection of unique items, and always changing. Lots of imported goods that you don't find anywhere else. Also a good selection of unique furniture pieces. About half the store is merchandise and half the store is imported foods from all nationalities. Their beer and wine selection is also outstanding. Plenty of imported sodas too. Store is huge, we can easily kill an hour here. Prices are also pretty decent. Many items' sticker prices are fair, but if you pay attention to the sales on certain categories you can really find some great deals.

A fun store, it has a lot of great products form around the world. They have a wide selection of kitchen supplies and international culinary delicacies. Their wine and beer selection is very good. They also carry many home goods from furniture to curtains. I love also their jewelry and scarves! This is my favorite place to find grown up stocking-stuffers each year. The staff is helpful. The only drawback is the the items can be somewhat pricy compared to other places, but their sales and clearance items make up for it. Also joining their Explorer club will also get you further savings. There always seems to be something new here and it's always worth a stop.

Went in on Veteran's Day since World Market had 40% off furniture purchases. This was my first time ever going to World Market. I found the furniture I wanted, and me and my friend located the assistant manager. The Coffee Table was a new item, but she knew the inventory off the top of her head. After talking to her we went up front where she was able to sign me up for the rewards program so I could use the 40% off promotion. She also filled out an online order for me and was able to order the items online for delivery at my home. She was very helpful, professional and courteous. I definitely will shop again at World Market for my furniture and food needs.

If you are feeling nostalgic for or curious about snack food from a wide variety of different countries, this is the place to go. Their stock is extensive and tends to change month to month. There really is a little bit of everything. You will leave with a lot of things you didn't even know you wanted. They have a lot of high quality kitchen and home decor items. They are bot cheap, but everything is well made and will last. They even have books and toys for the kids. Even without buying something, it's interesting just looking around. The staff is always friendly and happy to help.

Great place to get unusual finds (i.e.retro toys for kids, handmade clothing and accessories, fair trade items and ethnic foods, craft beers and a variety of wine). Staff are also nice. 4/2018-Visited recently. No clerk at check out. Saw a a clerk and stood by her while she was stocking. She ignored me for at least one minute. Left store without making putchase. First time I've received poor service rating dropped a star.

Waited in line for a long time with only one customer in the whole store. Store shelves were empty in many places with inventory tags hanging all over. Yet overstock merchandise was placed in sealed boxes above empty shelves. No longer stock good high quality items they have been replaced with cheaper made lower quality items at higher prices.

The vast majority of the store associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. We have purchased a few items from there, signed up for their rewards program, and return/exchange some items with very minimal difficulty. They even went so far as to special order a large rug for us and preemptively apply a promotional code so that when the item came in we could still get the discounted price. They have also helped me load furniture into the car without even asking for help. Seems like a good place.

They have a wonderful wine selection as well and I was very impressed the last time I was in there buying wine at how knowledgeable the lady was that was helping me...she recommended several wines that she thought I would like based on a couple of my favorites and I was definitely not disappointed!

Manager told me I could use a credit card in store if I applied today with promo code. I was then told it would take two weeks for it to be reviewed. Asked to speak to a manager because I wanted to use it today. I told her I wasn’t happy that she was telling customers they could use it today when they definitely can not. All the manager could tell me she was sorry that I felt that way and my credit was probably too low (definitely not the case) and I should call the 1-800 number. Good ploy to get your application numbers up, bad way of handling upset customer.

We love the products and selection here, BUT... promptly upon entering the store, we were greeted with, "Just so you know, we are closing in 15 minutes." No "hello". No "how are you this evening?" I believe our money is worth the same within minutes of closing as any other time of the day; however, we chose not to spend it. We left 3 minutes prior to closing time, walking within six feet of the same employee who had "greeted" us without so much as a passing glance. This is a cool store with interesting and unique products, but they could use a brush up in customer service.

My wife and I visited the store in Des Moines tonight and had the worst experience in retail shopping of our entire lives. From the moment we walked into the store we were relentlessly followed by a tall skinny lady with dark hair that was obviously keeping an eye on us for some reason. This was very confusing to us as we had given no cause for this action the entire time we were there. We spent around $70.00 which make no mistake will ever happen again. We will be letting everyone who cares to listen know of this and suggest other stores to go to in an effort to save them the horrible feeling we felt being followed like a couple of hardened criminals. Hopefully this complaint will prompt the store management to take a serious look at these practices to prevent this in the future. In conclusion we will NOT be shopping there ever again. Never have we felt so badly treated by a business!!

I cannot get out of here without buying soda and international snacks. I don't allow myself to wander into the kitchen or decor sections because I will spend the GDP of Vanuatu. It is my favorite store full of pretty cultural appropriation (I'm confident "world market" is a synonym for cultural appropriation, but it's all so sexy), and the service is usually helpful. I've had two moments where I've asked about products they used to carry, and the employees looked at me like I was an alien, so that sucked. But they were also the first in town to start carrying Clearly Canadian again, and you can't fault a store that amazing. I love that they carry Christmas crackers, I love that they sell Boylan sodas, and I love them.
