I went to the new Carmel location today with my 2 daughters (ages 1 and 4). Walking in to The Cake Bake Shop was like walking into a dream. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen! Not a single detail was missed. The staff was friendly and surprisingly accommodating for young kids. We were given 2 gorgeous antique high chairs and a coloring page for the kids that was so beautiful I wanted to frame it! They had an extensive cocktail list and our drinks were all served in beautiful selected glass wear. The food was delicious and beautifully served. The only downside to our visit was that they were sold out of the chocolate chip cookies (which is a testament to how good they are)! This was a fantastic choice for a ladies lunch and it was such a special day to share with my girls and see their eyes light up! We will definitely be back!

Stephanie was so knowledgeable about the product as it was our first time in to the Carmel location. I can see why everyone raves about this place!! She did a tremendous job and could not have had a better experience if it wasn’t for her! The cakes and drinks recommended were AMAZING! Make sure she gets a free piece of cake! ;) loved it!

Elle Tipton

Overall, it was a lovely experience. The decor and ambiance is beautifully done and I would give 5 stars for that. However, it was a bit busy and the staff seemed a little preoccupied. Still, the food and tea was delicious.

Going in here will bring to mind the little shops of Paris. In this quaint shop you will find the most delicious macarons ever! Please do the rose macaron, you will not regret it. Also the coconut cake is to die for!

Kept hearing about this place and how great it was, so I decided to try it. Nicely decorated, fancy, shop but SMALL, very cramped & crowded. Ordered a piece of caramel cake & a piece of red velvet to go. Waited 15-20 mins to get it. Found both to be way too sweet. Both were only somewhat moist but over the top with sugar. Extremely disappointed! I expected much better. Simply OVERRATED & WAY OVERPRICED.

Seated by greeter. But took 15 minutes for a waitress to even give us menus and take our order. We sat and watched servers walk back and forth past our table and no one said asked if t we had been serve. I finally asked a waitress that walked by me 3 times and asked her to get our waitress but even after she showed up and apologized for being late she took a long time to even return to take order and serve us. It really was not that busy. This was my first time here and it a beautiful spot but customer service is lacking big time. Luckily the actual desserts were good or I would have probably given it a 1 star. My husband and I felt neglected and not very welcomed

Manal Saeed

Absolutely amazing place! Love the food, drinks, and of course the famous desserts!! Just makes sure you book in advance for a table reservation!!

Diane Brenton

I had the lemon blueberry cake. It was dry and for 12.95 I thought it would be a larger piece. Though the place is beautiful, I was not impressed with the cake.

When I decided to take my wife here after a year of promising, I had no idea what to expect. I honestly thought we were going in to pick up some Cakes and Pastries and take them home to eat later. Instead, I entered into a little magical cottage full of people in their Sunday bests, drinking colorful sparkling beverages and dining on light sandwiches and rich desserts. In this Alice In Wonderland-esque restaurant, I found myself feeling like an adult attending a child's tea party, complete with small tables and chairs, except the fare wasn't make believe tea and crumpets, it was 5 star brunch and confections straight out of a television show. Mothers, bring your daughters here... they will adore it. Fellas, bring you ladies here... they will adore you.

Always magically delightful with beautiful and decadent cakes! ❤️

The cake is great and the interior is....unique! The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the various celebrities who have visited.

Over the top girly experiences in the most positive way! Staff is top notch, delicious sweet and savory selections, coffees, drinks, everything! Pictured is the cappachino and millionaire cake! Reservations are a must and make them well ahead of time.

had the $14 slice of cake .. white cake with raspberries displays of the cake and entire facility were enchanting... now, if only the cake tasted as good as it looked. was it "yesterday's or last Saturday's?" I don't know- we purchased this Monday afternoon as a special treat- ugh. the cake itself was a bit dry and the copious amounts of frosting was grainy to the tongue and sadly, honestly, lacked much flavor. So the venue gets 2 stars by my objective count 1 for decor and the very pleasant employees 1 for presentation ZERO for the sliced cake

Brad M

There is a reason why this place takes forever to get a seat. The cakes are delicious and the atmosphere reminds you of a boutique out of New York or Chicago. If you are in Indy and have a sweet tooth then you should absolutely stop by.

Anthony Chau

Highly recommended! Very pretty place. The atmosphere is nice! The staff is helpful and the dessert are like pieces of art! It was a really great experience.

Mindy Roe

My husband and I went to get a couple pieces of cake, after I have looked at all the pictures and great reviews for months. We walked in and loved the atmosphere and everybody was friendly. We decided on an Italian/pecan cake (I forget the exact name) and the coconut cake. They were boxed up, we paid, and went to our vehicle to try them. The pecan version had icing that was smeared and greasy looking in the box, and the cake layers itself were brown and visibly overcooked. It was so dry. The coconut cake was less dry, but none the less, dry. The cream filling and icing were delicious on the coconut cake though. Maybe my expectations were just to high. We were going to take a group of friends next weekend for a birthday, but thankfully we tried it first, and won't be going. I will personally stop by again to try the food. It looks delicious.

We visited the Cake Bake shop on Friday November 16, 2018 for my boyfriend’s birthday. We were seated fairly quick and our waitress was pleasant. While enjoying desserts I did however notice a waitress behind the counter making what looked like hot chocolate drinks for a large party. On several occasions I watched her pour chocolate from a container and take her finger to the rim of that container then place her finger in her mouth. She then dipped a straw in the container and tasted the bottom of the straw. She used that straw several times to taste drinks after they were made. She also wiped the rim of cups off and saucers with the same towel that was used to wipe the counter and tables. I was completely grossed out at that point. Then the hostess at the door stood in front of the Cake display counter and retrieved a Kleenex from her pocket to blow her nose. She then placed it back in her pocket and said to several other employees that her nose has been running all day. Very unsanitary and unprofessional. Such a beautiful shop with good desserts but I will not be a repeat customer.

Marilyn H

I have visited 3 times. Awesome girlie decor. Great salads, okay cakes. The cakes are a little dry. The service is consistent: terrible, insulting, snobby servers.

Zach Moore

What a wonderful experience! Thank you to Abby who went out of her way to help me with this last minute Christmas gift after the store had closed on Christmas Eve. You guys made my day! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend the cake bake shop to anyone looking for a treat or unique gift that's sure to delight. The store itself is absolutely beautiful, and the pastries are divine.

Kavitha Nambiar

Loved the red velvet cake. Can’t wait to be back again to try other flavors.

Tyrone White

This place is a easy 5 stars! Last night my lady and I came into your establishment and I was very impressed! She is a long time frequent visitor but me on the other hand was blown away with my first experience! The customer service was excellent thanks to Lilly our barista and server... She was very knowledgeable and gave us really good feedback. You guys make other places look generic...lol!

Wife and I went here last night to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. Keep in mind, we don’t come from money like he people in broad ripple do (lol). Was greeted with a disgruntled look since my wife was wearing a dress and I was wearing a polo (went to the orchestra after this). Ordered a piece of red velvet cake for $13.00 and had to wait for them to cut it because that’s apparently a special and tedious process to cut a cake that’s on display to sell. Upon receiving the cake and saying bye to the Matt Damon picture on the wall like the swine that we are, we proceeded to eat the most dry cake that the world has tasted. A positive was the cream cheese icing in the center. But next time, you should probably put the powdered sugar in the frosting mix for the pretty icing on top, or else it just tastes like butter. Kinda an odd twisty on sweet and salty for a RED VELVET cake. The sweet release that we received after chugging a water from the McDonald’s around the corner to rid our uncultured pallets of this taste was next to nothing. But hey, the people there were much prettier than I and the workers looked ready for their next wedding convention. Glad I got to experience the same place that the guy who voices Mickey Mouse once visited #blessed.

Leslie Bowden

A surprise birthday dinner for me. The Christmas decor was up and it was beautiful. The restaurant is so pretty and the food is so good!

Sean McManus

We ordered two pieces of cake to go. The cakes were sitting right there on the counter when we ordered them. All that had to be done was to cut two pieces and put them in a box. There were no less than 12 employees working at the time, just in the front of the shop. It took them almost an hour to cut two pieces of cake. The cake is very good. Delicious. Not worth waiting 50+ minutes for it though. I watched, mouth agape, for almost that whole hour as the employees just milled about aimlessly. They weren't busy at all. There is no reason why it should have taken them so long to cut our slices of cake. For that price ($24 for two slices) the cake should be practically thrown at me. The only employee who seemed busy at all was the hostess who walked around apologizing to everyone waiting for how long it was taking. It seemed like her only job was to say how sorry she was that things took so long.

Monett Bracho

The prettiest place. Not so sure about the cakes. Next time I'll try the brownies and hot chocolate. But just being here feels like you are kind of dreaming. ❤️

Tony Schmidt

This is a destination, boutique restaurant. Impeccable service. The decor is over the top and fun. I particularly enjoyed the quiche and arugula salad. The salad was especially devine! Of course the desserts are exceptional.

L. Thompson

First visit to the Cake Bake Shop, but certainly will not be our last! Loved everything about it. Delicious food, excellent service, enchanting environment make for an all around wonderful experience! Very special place!

Nathan Miller

Honestly blown away, wasn't sure what to expect between the Disney music when wet walked in and the fact that everything in the restaurant sparkles. I literally rolled my eyes when I walked in. Kind of over did the fairy tale thing haha. But.... Cakes were amazing of course, service was awesome as was the coffee. Very friendly staff, and appeared to enjoy their jobs. We will be back!

Joy Beck

The most decadent cheesecake I’ve ever had!! Love the decor, pricey but a fun experience.

Starla Baucum

Took my daughter and 2 granddaughters, we had fabulous cakes and beverages. Made a memory!!! Will have to go everytime we are up from Texas. Worth the trip!

Sierra Frey

I had been looking forward to our reservation for two months and it did not disappoint. Although the cake is a bit pricey, it was totally worth it! The shop was absolutely beautiful.

呂爸

Tasty cake and fancy shop!

Alex

I have been coming here about several times a month for the last 4 years and love the food/desserts and decor but after so many years of absolutely TERRIBLE service I've finally decided I'm not going back. The place is employed by a bunch of moronic high school looking aged girls who have no clue what is going on or what to do, so they stand around and shrug. You'll often find yourself twiddling your thumbs for 15 or more min after being seated before a waiter even asks for your food or drink order. Additionally, one of the older lady managers is a total snoot. They completely ruin what should be a wonderful experience. The straw that broke the camel's back was when we were told we could sit at the bar area. I was with my mom planning to have a lovely lunch. We sit down and ordered drinks. Then a little brat said we needed to leave the bar as it was reserved. Then 2 ladies came up who were previously seated outside and told us they no longer wished to sit out there so they wanted to take our seats. So that little bratty hostess lied about them having the bar reserved and kicked us out after we had already ordered. The owner needs to spend less time stalking celebrities with her cakes for photo ops and more time in the shop working on customer service with her employees.

Lucia salazar

Food was amazing!!! Went for my daughter's birthday and had a blast. Can't wait for next year!

Its always fun stopping by this place. It’s small and can feel a bit cramped, but it’s such a lovely place. The desserts are expensive but most are tasty. My husband loves the salted chocolate chips cookies. The macaroons are great, and you can truly taste the flavors, like rose and lavender. I ordered a birthday cake from here and it was delicious. All of my family loves the light and fluffy bitter cream. You’re not just paying for dessert, but also for the experience.

I went for chocolate cake, and received help on which cake might be to my liking. But I also saw a

We did not make reservations, and there was a wait at 3:30pm in the afternoon, so we got carryout. I had the rose cappuccino, which was surprisingly tasty, and as the cake slices are huge, we split a slice of lemon blueberry cake. It was scrumptious!

Dahiana Rodriguez

The decorations are so lovely year round and the staff is delightful

Mohammad Rowaie

Best cake shop in Indiana and wonderful place to take your partner and celebrate

Melanie Fernandez

Unpleasant experience to say the least. Our waiter instructed us to take a look at the display case to see what they had available. 19 minutes later he finally returned to take our order. While we waited, I couldn't believe what the wait staff was saying about the birthday party that just left. It was in poor taste to discuss guests like they did. Sparkling lavender lemonade tasted like watered down 7-up. Not worth the $6.50. The desserts are incredible. We had to ask the hostess to have our server bring us our check since we hadn't seen him again. There was a lady server that dusted my niece with "princess glitter." Thank you to her for making it fun for my niece's first time to Cake Bake but we won't be back.

Stephanie Baldini

I come here at least once a month. I love the atmosphere and aesthetic of this shop. The food is yummy, the drinks are great. But the staff is awful! Every time I come any waiter I get is short, doesn't actually talk to you, or show emotions at all. and some have been down right rude. When you try to ask them questions or just joke with them they just look at you like your low class or something. or just chuckle it off and walk away. I was in there lastnight (may 3rd) with a group of co-workers and we were getting glared at most of the time before leaving. And they they tried to smooth it over by telling us to have a good night. They have no General happiness , which is weird to me with the setting of this place... your workers represent your brand, they aren't giving it to good of a name.

Chantel Weigel

Our girls LOVED this place. My eldest calls it the fairy cake shop. We went a little over board ordering so we could try different things and everything we had was excellent. We hadn't really planned too eat lunch there, which is a shame because that menu looked amazing too. Something to look forward to next time! They do take reservations, but not same day reservations.

Daniel Gordon

They expected my 9 month pregnant wife to sit in a stool. They didn't care. Cakes look great put they are dry. I go to local bakery in Zionsville now.

Catherine miller

We were just so excited to be able to lunch with my grand babies and daughter-in-law and friend from Indy, today. We went to the new and fabulous Carmel CakeBake shop and just had the best experience today. The food was delicious as were the desserts. My little grands, thoroughly enjoyed this special day and were so welcomed by this staff of waiters and waitresses! This place is just so beautifully decorated and so worth driving from afar to experience this unique place. Thank you for this special day. See you soon!

Azumi Chan

The best and most wonderful experience I have ever had from a store! They put babys breath in the lemonade even if it is to go! Such a magical and uplifting place!!! Instead of fast food on every corner I want this store EVERYWHERE!! I would love to see this place in a huge building with more space!! Such great food and desserts and such friendly people. 100 stars !!

Very upset. Booked a Mother’s Day celebration where my friend and I were to bring our mothers. We all decided to wait until the Carmel location was open. We booked a 4:30 time on Saturday and we all looked forward to it for a month. At 3pm that day, I received a call stating that they ran out of cake and they would not have any cake at the Cake Bake Shop due to high volumes on opening weekend... we had our reservation booked a month out. It was very upsetting because every response on the phone was “So r u going to cancel your reservations?” They should’ve done something to make up for this. How awful! Our mothers were already dressed up and on their way when the phone call was taking place. Management should’ve looked at the reservation list BEFOREHAND and determined that they needed a slice of cake for every person on the reservation list. Even if they only made 3 or 4 different kinds of cakes that day, cake should’ve been available to EVERYONE who made a RESERVATION. This should not have come as a surprise in any way. Walk-ins and carry-outs shouldn’t have been allowed if they were having trouble keeping up with demand. The fact that they sold out before 3, is really upsetting. It was a huge disappointment to our mothers and it was very embarrassing to us. We tried to set up a wonderful day and because of poor management, it was a huge letdown for a Mother’s Day celebration. Our mothers deserved SO much more than that. I think the most upsetting thing was that no effort was made to make up for this mistake.

Heather Reimer

Great service! She knew us all by name and very personable. Awesome food and atmosphere

Maria Luiza M Borges

This place is amazing! Their service... could have been much better. You may wait 45 minutes to get your order for take out! Even when the place is not that busy. I don't get it! It looks like things just don't work... Lots of employees but... wrong layout maybe... We never had a good experience with their service but we keep going because the desserts are amazing!

Wes Weber

We first started going only for the desserts at their Broad Ripple location, but then went back to try their soup and sandwiches, which were pretty good. We were excited to try their Carmel location and was happy with the Filet Mignon we tried. Our only complaint was that we still had to wait even after making reservations.

Lori Hogue

After a months long wait and my 1st time visit for my 56th birthday was to say the least not a very relaxing or tasteful experience. We had reservations for a month but was placed at a very small bar area facing the bakers. You could not converse with your company. Not to mention nowhere to put your coat or purse or knees for that matter. We were promptly waited on by a lovely gentleman. To drink we ordered the lavender lemonade which was very light and delicious. For lunch we ordered the chicken salad which was very dry but tasted ok. It came with a salad that was not fit to eat. I thought, oh well, at least the cake has to be great right, wrong!!! I had the raspberry champagne cake that was as dry as a bone. My daughter had the Italian cream cake along with my niece. It had the wrong icing on it. Lol Suppose to be cream cheese icing but had whipped light icing and it was also dry as a bone. My other niece had the carrot cake. It was very good and moist. For the price and being crammed in like sardines it in no way worth the money and I will never go again. 2nd time I’ve actually had cake from there and it was very dry as well. Not worth it. You can’t even look around it’s so small n packed. Can’t understand why anyone would go back for cake more dry than old bread. I’ve had better cake from an Easy Bake Oven!

Lauren Vale

I and my two friends were so excited to try this place and my expectations were high. unfortunately I was let down. When I arrived the place was packed and I was given a thirty minute wait, and a promise to text me when my table was ready. I didn’t receive a text, so I decided to go back in, and watched as some ladies who were behind me in line get seated at a table for three. Upon confronting the woman at the front desk, she just gave me an even longer wait time. Even if the food is excellent I wouldn’t know, because their staff is inconsiderate.

Todd Riester

The atmosphere is like walking into a dream, if that dream is a fancy land of cakes. Seriously, this place gives of a strong cake vibe. The wait time can be lengthy, but the wait is worth it. Oddly, the parking situation was totally acceptable. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Christine Glorana

Cake was flavorful but seemed dry for coming in at the beginning of the day. Server was pleasant, but the staff conversations were very inappropriate. Decor is beautiful but seating is cramped. Was expecting more

Dominique Abiagom

Very uncomfortable experience. My Mom and I went in looking for desserts and we were greeted with awkward stares/glares as if we as African Americans weren’t suppose to be there. The owner also made us feel very uncomfortable as well. If I could give less than one star I would. The presentation of my dessert sucks. I would not have minded the price of my dessert if the service had been better and the presentation of my dessert looked more appealing. This was the most uncomfortable and prejudice feeling we have ever received from a business that we patronize.

Amy Goodrich

Though the restaurant and food menu are small, the actual menu choices are definitely of high-quality! My rose cappuccino was delicious and I'm not even a coffee fanatic. If you do anything definitely get the cake. So many choices and all of them looked beyond amazing

ryan loveless

Cost doesn't equal quality the items taste like gas station cookies and brownies for Los Angeles pricing doesn't make sense, I have only had cheesecake bars and cookies so I can only speak for those but I imagine the quality is the similar across the board

Amy Mansoori

A group of 8 ladies had a delightful time. The decor is fabulous, the cocktails inventive, dinner was delicious and of course the desserts were spectacular. What a lovely evening!

Maggie M

The best chocolate cake I have ever had!!!

Brittney

Cake Bake was a magical experience! We went for a light lunch and lots of dessert. We had penne and a baguette for lunch. The penne was delicious and it had a little heat kick. The baguette was delicious but the butter was amazing! Definitely try the sparkling lavender lemonade. It was sweet but not overly sweet. The Marie Antoinette had raspberry and cream on a macaron shell. It was so delicate and flavorful. The cakes were phenomenal. We had the Famous Earl's Chocolate, carrot, blackberry, and the cinnamon roll cakes. The pieces were huge so $10-13 per slice wasn't terrible. My only complaint was the cinnamon roll cake was a little dry. Overall I will definitely go again! Tip: Make your reservation for right when they open. The place fills up quick! Since we got in right away we had timely service.

Miki Deen

The cakes are okay, good, but not great and certainly not deserving of the price tag. These prices, in Indiana? This is worse than NY! The cakes are too big to really enjoy, it’s a bit overwhelming. Would be better to have smaller pieces where one could order and sample a few options.

Lauren Mikosz

UPDATE: Went back and reordered the Chicken Velvet Soup, and was pleasantly surprised to receive and very large bowl full of soup and a big chunk of bread. Cake was super moist and delicious and service was greatly improved. Five stars for this visit! Day 2 of your Carmel location and overall experience was okay/good but not great. Don’t get me wrong, the place is beautiful, the cake and food are delicious, but there are a lot of things that need work and tweaking to make this place great and worth the money. First: customer service is lacking.... I know there were probably a lot of new hires for this location and it will take time to get everything running smoothly, but after my table of 5 was seated, we waited.... and waited... until finally one of us had to hunt down a waiter who had no clue who was supposed to wait on us, and we were handed off to an already overwhelmed waiter.... who spent the entire time telling us he was brand new and had no idea if anything that we wanted to order was available. I asked for a cocktail recommendation: he had no clue what was good- even told me so. Meanwhile all the Instagram stars were made sure to be helped. For example, I asked for a slice of the pink birthday cake to go (to take home to hubby) and he said he’d have to check if they even had it. My friend asked for another cake slice to go as well and she got the same response. For a newly opened cake store, considering you’re going to be very busy these first few weeks, not having cake readily available should NOT be a happening. Plus you’ve been working on opening this place for a long time.... was the staff not prepared? Second: let’s talk about the price of your food. I get that this place is specialty and fancy and you’ve got to make up for the millions you’ve poured into making this place sparkle, but when I order the chicken velvet soup with a half baguette, I am not expecting to receive what is barely a cup of soup and two small slices of baguette bread all for $13. $13 for a cup of soup??? $13 for barely anything? The prices alone are enough to make me want to never come back, but I’m willing to dish out the money if portion sizes are at least worth the money! Instead I’m left with empty pockets and wishing I had more food. And sure I’ll fill up on cake.... but it’s the principle of the matter. This is America, not France. I want my money’s worth. Overall, I’m sure I’ll be back someday.... but not until this place gets their act together, makes sure to give customers the experience that they are paying for, and will have to take care to not get ripped off while eating here.

Jaylen Johnson

Delicious food. It was there and then it wasn’t. Amazingly interesting interior and cakes are unique and equally delicious. Would come here every day for the cavatappi. 5 Stars.

Sarah Gray

Atmosphere is beautiful, and lattes are exceptional! I like how neat everything is, and I even compared it to Disney world. The staff was very kind and helpful. Alongside of that, everything is VERY overpriced for how mediocre/hard the desserts were. Not necessarily fresh. You're basically paying for the experience/atmosphere.

Sarah Hoffman

Why have rude people answering your phones? I’ll be sure to go anywhere else if that’s the type of customer service you provide. *Edited* My issue was not being unable to get a table for the same day (businesses are busy, I know that). I take issue with the fact that I was asking for solutions and wasn't even told walking in was an option. They simply rudely 'parakeeted' the policy back to me instead of offering me an alternative.

Sharon Lauray

Really cute place! Food and cakes were awesome! Staff were great too! We enjoyed ourselves

Mindy Hargis

Came here for a baby shower. They have a private room you can reserve for parties. The staff were so nice and attentive to our needs. They even kept an eye out for a friend who showed up late to help her find us and order food. The food was delicious. The only negative thing is the coconut cream pie, which wasn't great. EVERYTHING else was delicious. The staff even helped us take pictures at the end.

Lorri Milligan

Thank you to all i met at cake bake shop your awsome!!!

Mark Shapard

Incredible cake. Worth seeking out when visiting Indianapolis.

Cathyah

Beautiful place. I had looked forward to going there. Made it today. Not only was I not greeted by hostess or staff, no one acted like they wanted to take my order. Don't worry I won't be back. It's called customer service!

Dee Freund

1st time walking in to the cake bake shop. Absolutely beautiful! I really had no idea what to expect. Small seating area to enjoy their delicious desserts there and a beautiful Room in the back where I'm assuming you can rent to have events there? Either way a must visit with 2 locations in Indy and Carmel! Wow!!

Cesar Cediel

The interior was amazing, and the CAKE!

Lauren Smith

Atmosphere and service are superb. It’s really an experience, and makes you feel special and pampered. The caprese sandwich and arugula salad with lemon dressing were very yummy. The cakes were beautiful, but I have had better. Raspberry champagne cake and lemon blueberry cake were okay. The chocolate cake was actually excellent. I’d recommend that over anything else. Worth it to try this place, at least once!

P. M.-M.

Had a reservation for 11:30 so no problems with seating. I’ve been here before and the food is fantastic. Not just the sweets but also the savory. I will always return in the future but my one recommendation is that the wait staff needs to smile. Not smile more...but just smile once in a while. It made me feel as if they really don’t like working here. One employee not smiling is one thing but when no employee smiles...that speaks volumes for the management. Why are they ALL so unhappy? Here’s hoping to see smiles on my next visit.

Melanie Wing

We had another wonderful experience at The Cake Bake Shop. The decor and setting is SO beautiful each time we've been, making it feel like such a special experience. We love both the food and the desserts, both are worth a try, although we do choose to share as the portions are large. We love all the salads, soups and sandwiches we've tried in addition to the vast array of dessert options.

Too expensive lazy work tastes good but the lady in front bought all magic bars and they don't remake anymore lower prices macaroons too expensive 7 for two tiny macaroons 1 macaroon and 1 little brownie 9.54 jesus christ so expensive please fix this and I will change review

Fancy , sweet and cool . Definitely place to go and get some cake . Coffee is awesome. Everything on menu is good .

Morgan Ferguson

First of all we asked to sit inside and was seated out on the patio. The floor and tables were filthy. It was bugs underneath the glass and bugs in our glasses from the table. The waiter kept giving the wrong food to our party of 3.

Charlotte Bauer

Came in from out of town and had a wonderful lunch here with my mother in law, grandmother in law, and two year old son. This place is definitely meant to be a special experience. Kind of like going to any nice restaurant you expect a certain level of service and quality and they absolutely delivered. We had such a nice time and it was great to see so many young children who were as excited as the adults to be in such a unique environment and treated to some really delicious food.

Kohl Slabaugh

The new location in Carmel is absolutely stunning. Everything from the food to the staff to the detail in the trim work is spectacular! I had the privilege of being one of the first people through the doors and I was blown away by the atmosphere inside. It was like I had stepped into a whole different world! Our waiter Josh was very friendly and more than happy to go the extra mile to make our meal and our time there feel special. The food itself was outstanding. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a restaurant specializing in cakes and desserts, but I can say with confidence that I’ve never had a meal that good! My absolute favorite thing I had there was the hot chocolate made with chocolate from the chocolate fountain. It was so smooth and rich I just couldn’t stop drinking it. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back with my fiancée. I highly recommend going if you get the chance.

Heather Bott

Been wanting to try cake bake shop for a while so finally when we were in carmel my fiance and I stopped. All I have to say was very disappointed in the cake. Not worth standing in line for a half hour to find out our lemon blueberry and raspberry champagne cake was dry and not very flavorful. Blueberries didn't have much taste and the only lemon I could taste was from the lemon curd. Definitely not worth the 14 dollars a slice. Poor Oprah doesn't know what good cake tastes like.

Jessica Irmer

I had an awesome experience here! The girls that waited on us were amazing, with an awesome knowledge of the menu in and out. The dessert was also great, with tons of options for cake. I have never seen so many options! The cake we did get was FABULOUS, so moist! Everything about our meal was great. We both got Rose--I got no 69 and it was perfect without being too sweet. The entire inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with flowers everywhere. Absolutely will be returning

Luis Alfonso

Very fancy place, looks like a Parisian Bake shop. Best cheesecake I ever taste.

Ashley Monk

As someone with food allergies galore, I can’t tell you how thankful I am for Cake Bake. They took exceptional care of my husband and I when we visited for my birthday. Staff is excellent, location is exquisite, but most importantly this was the first real gluten free cake I’ve eaten in four years - and it was incredible. Love going here and can’t wait for the Carmel shop to open! -A

Abdullah Almazyad

Heard a lot about it. I drove 5 hours to try it and it was worth the travel. Love the little details. All I can say it’s amazing

David W

Consistently good deserts. Lots of decor and family friendly atmosphere. Get to go if busy.

Richard Sutton

Amazing Place. Amazing Cake. Can't wait to go back.

Jonee Drake

Beautiful cake shop. The decor was breathtaking. We only got carry out slices and they were tasty. I look forward to going back and trying other items.

Lauren Newell

Very good food!! It's hard to go in and sit down in a timely manner, so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! All the cakes, pies, and cookies are fabulous! The atmosphere makes dining there really enjoyable.

Tara McDuffey

My server was amazing! Thanks Jess!! And Martha the manager was a dream! We will be back just for the conversation and the food! Macarons were spectacular! Quiche was amazing! Love the lemon vinaigrette!

Ciara Faulkner

A not so hidden gem in Indy! Have been celebrating birthdays and ladies day out here for a few years and it never disappoints.

Kathryn Bellamy

My experience at cake bake was one to remember. It was date night and I was totally excited. Cake bake has a whimsy that makes you feel like a fairytale. I would have eaten crakers with water just to experience sitting in the shop. I did not have to the food was amazing the drinks were perfect. The lavender lemonade was like nothing I have never sipped on before. The magic bar was just that. I got cake to go but I am sure it will be wonderful. The manager was busing greeting and managing. I am sure she was overwhelmed and forgot about our reservation and we had to wait 30 mins to sit I was disappointed but she made it right with comping our first drink. Do not rush it takes awhile to experience on a weekend but this place is great.

liza stacy

Had a little bit of a wait, but the cake and friendliness made up for it! Love this place.

Tracy Morris

This is a very cozy place. I like how the owner pays attention to details in her decorating and the uniforms of her employees. I had a Cafe Mocha and Raspberry Champagne Cake. It was okay. I was hoping I could taste the champagne more in the cake. I thought the cake was a bit hard and crumbly. Not as moist as I was expecting. My daughter had a Chocolate Chaud, a fancy Hot Chocolate, and The Dutchess Cake. She didn't care for the icing because it was whipped. I personally love my icing like that :-) She enjoyed the Hot Chocolate. The service was good with Daniella. We would go back to try something else.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party. I arrived before my party and was greeted kindly by the hostess, Martha. She saw that my party had not previously put in a reservation but did her best to make sure that there would be a table available once our entire party arrived. The food was so delicious! I ordered the half sandwich and half pasta option and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our group was seated outside and we loved the decorations. I also ordered the carrot cake which I really enjoyed. Due to unexpected busyness, Martha ended up ringing us out in order to speed up the process (it was a Tuesday which is typically a more relaxed day but a convention was in town so our waitress had a great number of tables to look after). And as Martha handed our cards/receipts back mine was last, and without even looking she remembered my name from earlier in the evening. I was very impressed by her memory and her devotion to making the night as enjoyable as possible for us. To be honest, the food and experience were lovely, but it was Martha the hostess that left the most lasting impression on me afterwards. I work as a server in the catering industry and I found her kindness and attention to detail extremely impressive. Also it bears mention that our waitress, who did make a couple tiny mistakes, did phenomenal for waiting approximately half of the tables inside and half of the tables outside. I don’t know that I could have done a better job myself. If I were waiting that many tables I am sure I would have forgotten much more than one drink order, and I don’t know that I would have had the forethought to then bring that drink order out in a to-go container so that it was more convenient to leave with since it had come out later than anticipated. Once our table realized that she was waiting on so many people at once we realized how prompt she actually had been in getting back to us. It was not her fault they were uncharacteristically busy on a weeknight. And bearing that in mind her service was actually very impressive. I had a wonderful time at The Cake Bake Shop getting to celebrate an old friend, and I would definitely recommend it as a great place to enjoy food and dessert and spend an evening together.

David Carpenter

A friend and I stopped in here for the first time today. My friend had been wanting us to go for a while, and I wasn't sure what to expect. When I would ask others about this place, everyone said it was amazing. Let me just tell you, the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. I don't even know how to describe it. That's why I included some pictures. It's definitely the kind of place I would bring my mom or my niece for their birthday. My friend and I decided to get some cake to go. The woman who served us was incredibly friendly. The entire staff there had a smile on their face, and they seemed to love what they were doing. Everyone was very well-dressed, and I kind felt out of place with my baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants. Needless to say, when I come back, I plan to dress a bit nicer. I got a piece of their espresso cheesecake, and I absolutely recommend you give it a try. The only thing I have any complaints about is the price. But I'm also a college student, so I'm always going to complain about price.

Erin White

The environment is so refreshing and adorable. Faux flowers are all over the place giving it a very spring feel regardless of the time of year. The cakes are delicious. The wait time is sometimes a little long, even if you're ordering to go, but it's completely worth it! I love bringing friends here for special occasions!

David Falls

My wife, daughter-in-law, son, and I were thankful yesterday evening to visit the Cake Bake Shop for the second time, each a birthday celebration. The shop is a treasure: the decor is enchanting and all of the cake slices that we have savored have been delectable. Both experiences have been elevated from delightful to exceptional, however, by our server, Kristen: in addition to providing to us superb service, she has been so charming and has enabled us to feel as if we are special guests. Thank you! We anticipate eagerly our next opportunity to visit.

Geoff Mastbrook

The atmosphere is like walking into a dream, if that dream is a fancy land of cakes. Seriously, this place gives of a strong cake vibe. The wait time can be lengthy, but the wait is worth it. Oddly, the parking situation was totally acceptable. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Torrence Martin

The shop itself is nice, but the cake was not worth the cost. There are a number of bakeries and cake shops around the indianapolis area that have better tasting cake. If you want the best looking cake shop around this is it, for great tasting cake at reasonable prices go elsewhere.

Abeer Saeed

We planned a trip here 3 months in advance for my sister's birthday and it's definitely worth the 2 hour drive for us from Fort Wayne, IN! The broccoli cheese quiche and chocolate cake is to die for and they both just melt in your mouth! I've been here 3 times and try to get something new, and I'm never disappointed... I do wish it was a larger space it's always busy but still a must try!!!!

Sharon Hall

Amazing delicious Quiche and the dessert was more than outstanding!

Frank Del Campo

Unreal cakes here! It's difficult just picking what you want. So many choices!!! Ordered 3 different slices with coworkers and they were all crazy good!

Nicole Aasen

I absolutely love the atmosphere inside. It's pink and adorable. While completely girly, my husband didn't feel uncomfortable. The savory food options are limited, but what we got was delicious. The drink options are great. I really enjoyed my sparkling lavender lemonade and my lavender latte. And of course there's cake! The slices are huge, fresh, and so tasty. I can't wait to come back again.

Deb Blake

My mother killed this huge piece for her birthday. Having an ill mother is nothing to smile about, but she laugh and smiled the whole time. I thought she would have enough for another snack, but when I went to check she just smiled and said she couldn't stop eating it. My mother orders French chocolate every Christmas, she says this was one of the richest chocolate ever and the cake melted in her mouth. Worth every penny for her smile. 70 is a great birthday to have this cake..

Jasmine Jackson

What a cute upscale bake shop my husband brought me a delicious peice of cake from here and it was absolutely delicious I wish the owner would open up a shop by where I live in Avon/Plainfield.

Sharry Lane

Had a wedding shower there. Our waitress (Gretcheen H.) was so sweet and helpful. The food was really good and the pieces cakes were huge as well as be delicious.

Katie Schroeder

I wish I could give Cake Bake 10 stars! We celebrated our daughters graduation with a private party in the back room. It was PERFECT. Martha was our personal attendant and was so wonderful, by the end of the meal I felt like she was part of the family. Katharine, was our event coordinator and was so helpful with menu suggestions and ideas. Every.Single.Detail. was attended to. The food was fabulous and the cake...I mean SERIOUSLY... is there anything better...I think not. Our out of town family members are still talking about it...some that live 5 hours away said they would make a day trip JUST to have lunch at the Cake Bake. THANK YOU Cake Bake for making such a memorable day just "that" much more special!

Curran Mahowald

WOW THIS IS SOGOOD CAN? YOU GUYS COME TO SAN FRANCISCO WE CAN HAVE YOU CLOSE

Tan Madhavan

I first bought a cake here two years back and have been going back ever since! They come up with the most amazing flavours and combinations and use premium ingredients. No surprise they're so we'll loved!!

alberto bonvino

Horrible service air conditioning is no working also ask for cake and half of the menu i wasn't available

Elisabeth Solchik

I've always come in to enjoy dessert, but I've never had time to do lunch/ brunch. I really enjoyed the quiche today! My dessert was amazing like always

Kelly Becker

So disappointed! Stopped by to pick up some of the delicious cake I have heard so much about and they wouldn’t sell me any because I wasn’t dining in. Very disappointed in my first visit!

morgan spence

This place is so adorable! It is a little pricey, but it is worth it to go at least once. They decorate it based on the season and the food and drinks are very tasty. The desserts are great!

Austin Monday

The look of this place is gorgeous inside and out . Some would say this place is expensive , but I would say it’s worth it . You can really tell that someone spent time and tlc with the dessert you bought . Everything I’ve had from here tasted amazing .

Vida Stone

This place Beyond exceeded my expectations! Sooo very gorgeous inside, it’s the ultimate girly spot. All of the food in the bakery has edible glitter to match the sparkling decor. Also friendly professional staff. The only thing I don’t understand is waiting for sweets in he bakery when you order to go, the food is premade, it seems like they should be able to cut a slice of cake and hand it to you right then and there. Otherwise this place is perfect!

Casey Bergman

Best dessert I've ever had (I tried the Marie Antoinette). The decor is truly unreal, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Overall a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it!

Jonathan Beeman

The best cheesecake I have ever had! The atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic, and the waiter was terrific. Thank you for making my day!

iijadeplaysroblox

I love it so much going a again soon

Tracy Devers

As I made my entrance, I instantly knew I was home. This place is a fancy high tea dream come true. Everything is flowers, bright colors and sparkly fairy lights. The chandelier’s little French skeleton dolls grinned cheerily at me as I took my seat. I was enchanted. I ordered the lavender latte and the Marie Antoinette. Both were beautiful and absolutely delicious. A delightful experience!

Rachelle Harkenrider

Wow! An unforgettable experience! Absolutely beautiful place and yes the cakes are as delicious as they look!

FARM Society

The most amazing- incredible- impeccable attention to detail!!!! The building is 5 star the wait staff 5 star- You feel like you are in France or somewhere dreamy- !!! I went today with my mom and it was such a delight - we sat on the porch overlooking the fountain with wooden windows opened to a nice breeze. I had the chance to speak to the owner and she was very sweet and down to earth. Carmel is lucky to have this wonderful dining experience- I will tell everyone I know it is a must- Love Love Love this place!!!!

Tina Osborne

Staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. Best carrot cake ever and the cafe mocha was delicious. Martha was our server. She was amazing and made my niece feel so special on our girls day out. A big thanks to her. We'll definitely be back.

Andrew M. Travis

What more can I say then this place is magical. The chocolate famous cake is heaven.

Antoinette Campbell

Cake sparkles and inside of resturant sparkles. It's just BEAUTIFUL. Recommend reservation

Loren Galloway

Amazing food and amazing cakes! Our waitress Kristen made our experience great!

Out of cake. You had one job

My adult children chose Cake Bake Shop in Carmel for my birthday on Sept 1, 2019. They reserved room for party of 12, which was beautiful. Decor and ambience. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor of any kind. The meats were dry and lacked any seasoning; not even the burgers. We have family and friend chef's and flavor is the most important component to a dish. We ordered three cakes total; two specialty cakes (pre-order only and very pricey). All were dry and not very good initially; took home and heated up a little made them better. After finishing and paying for meal (well over $1000.00). My family and I went out by water fountain to take family photos. After being out there over 30 minutes, the manager comes out to tell us that they forgot to put gratuity on bill and we owed and additional $200.00 (+$45 less $200.00 deposit). We paid but that was really tacky. Overall, this was a very expensive, distasteful experience.

C Haltom

Atmosphere was beautiful. Several cakes and desserts to choose from. I was with my mom and daughter and we each had to change our selection of cake because they ran out. It was around 2pm in the afternoon. We paid $43 for 3 slices of cake so in my opinion- definitely overpriced. Cookie dough cake was a bit dry.

Seja Culpepper

The cake is AMAZING! The shop is too cute and the staff is super friendly. 10/10 would come again.

Matthew Midgett

Came for our 6 year old’s birthday. She loved it. Super girly, sparkly, fancy atmosphere. Amazing cake.

Jennifer Lynch

Shared a delicious meal, pink champagne cocktails (with glitter!) and ridiculous cake with my girlfriends. Service is excellent, and the food was awesome. I had the ham and goat cheese quiche, with a perfect silky texture I really wish I knew how to recreate, and the raspberry champagne cake. The cake was moist and rich, and the buttercream icing practically melted in the mouth. Delightful!

Catherine Jackson

The Cake Bake Shop in Carmel is just magical and beyond expectations! (So happy they have the iconic L.S. Ayres Chicken Velvet Soup---it was delicious and possibly even better than I remember from the Ayres Tea Room.)

Ashley Wyss

The decor is beautiful inside and out. The savory food options and the desserts were to die for, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The place is rather small though so I would recomend making a reservation.

Colleen O'Connor

I went fairly simple and got a chocolate chip cookie. It was one of the best cookies I've ever had - so yummy. They also have really great coffee. I had a cappuccino. It's fairly crowded and usually has a wait - but you can't beat their desserts!

Margaret Potter

Its everything you've heard about and more. Very sophisticated, elegant, yet completely relaxing and enjoyable. Our server was amazing, very informed, ready to recommend hers as well as guest favorites. Answered all my questions (and I ask plenty sorry to say)!! Even gave us the history of how this became a local favorite and how people like Paula Dean and Oprah came to raise such high praise. A must try....

Jennifer Wardell

DO NOT BOOK THE PRIVATE ROOM!!! Very cute shop, fun to come and grab some tasty food! With that said, do not reserve the private room. I played phone tag for weeks before my event. I was never able to speak with my coordinator. The day of I waited out in the busy front while they prepared the room. I saw the room was ready but no one came to get me. My guests started arriving, so I asked again about the room and they said "yes it has been ready for awhile." Once all my guests had arrived and I started my event, the coordinator finally came to discuss the room... In the middle of me hosting the event. She then tried to go over a million things. She also informed me of the minimum for the room, which had not been previously discussed. This was not posted on the website, left via voicemail (since I was never able to speak with someone beforehand), or at the very least emailed to me. I said whatever, it's fine... Seeing as my event was already going. At the end of the event they tried to discuss the bill in front of my guests! I told them I would settle the bill after my guests had left. They kept pushing and pushing, so I had to again excuse myself from my hosting responsibilities to talk to these people! They already had my credit card on file, so they knew they would get paid. But I had to again go over everything, while my guests stared at us and waited. We only utilized maybe half of the time that was alloted to us, but felt rushed and pressured the entire time. Very rude and unprofessional party planning. They need much better communication, and have someone available to discuss events during business hours. Or at least have the coordinator be available when they say they are. I was highly unimpressed by the event process. Again, food was good. Atmosphere incredible. Cakes are hit and miss. But events are a definite no go.

Patricia McGrath

Visiting from NY on a business trip. I looked forward to treating myself, as did my business associates, after a very intense work week. We arrived to a very limited selection, but decided to choose from what was available. I personally ordered crown cookies, macarons, and two slices of cakes. The Champagne raspberry was very dry and the slice was very thin. The Millionaire chocolate had a long hair in the icing. Had we not taken our orders to go I would have demanded my money back (and I left a very generous tip on top of the expensive price for the items) We were all so disappointed and my local Carmel business associates will not be recommending this place.

April Perkins

I can just say from the phone experience the customer service is seriously lacking and for the price you want the full experience. I can see this is a reacquiring issue and you think the manager would care more about their stores esteem. I wanted to try this place for a birthday event but after further research am feeling unsure. Working at cheesecake I can say we made great efforts to make sure customers were satisfied and our service was up to par with our cheesecake reputation, hopefully one day Cake Bake can say the same.

Jennifer Griffin

My husband heard an interview with the owner on a local radio show. We looked over the website and decided to drive over and splurge on an expensive dessert. We show up and get told the bakery isn't open on Friday. I couldn't find anything on the website saying the bakery at a cake shop wasn't open on what should be a very good business day for them. Honestly, I feel like they took one look at us in our shorts and t-shirts as we walked in for a to-go order and didn't want us there. It was awkward and uncomfortable.

Bonnie Uelk

Just beautiful, went to a baby shower here. They had a great little room in the back with a little couch and a table for gifts/games etc. Food was incredible and desserts even better. Service phenomenal.

Fatima Johnson

Delicious food and great service! All complemented by a beautiful decor!

Selena LaBair

The ambiance is spectacular, a work of art at every turn. The raspberry champagne cake was delectable, fluffy, light, and creamy. One complaint is the lack of seating. It made for an intimate setting, however, limits the amount of people that can experience such an impressive atmosphere and creates a hectic process to order desserts.

Liz Ann

I've tried a few different cake slices here. One of them was the best piece of cake that I have ever eaten. But, this shop was not intended for my type of person. Wear your best clothes, pretend that you have money to burn and poise your pinkie finger in the air whilst sipping your tea. This shop was opened to make money, lots of it. It is one of the most pretentious, bougie places on Earth. Little bit torn. Can't have your cake and eat it too?

Drake Gage

Excellent!! This is the best place to celebrate a special event. I came here from New York visiting a dear friend. We had the most memorable time together. The food, the atmosphere and service were top notch. Great experience and highly recommend.

Michael Thibideau

It was a coworkers birthday, and all of the ladies from the office wanted to head here to celebrate. I was slightly trepidatious, as I typically not a big fan of cake. Even initially kind of frightened, as when you walk in it looks like a Disney princess’ dream home... But then we sat down. And my god. This food was fantastic. The espresso was great, and the pies and cakes we tried were among the best of my life!! My review in 2 words: “do it”

John McDowell III

Took my wife here for her birthday and we both absolutely loved it. It's like a fairytale or fantasy land, very unique. The bread the best I've had since France.

Andrew Ade

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. Definitely recommend going here.

Min. Lydia Randolph

My bestfriend and I had heard about this place and wanted to try it. We were in town to visit my grandmother whose health is declining. I thought this might help lift my spirits. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated quickly at the bar. I noticed the beautiful ambiance and the cramped space. There were a lot of people packed in what looked like a living room. We were prepared to have a slice of $13 cake each. As we looked at the menu we decided to have soup and sandwiches, which was a small suggestion made by the waiter. The small bowl of potatoe and leek soup was tasty and the half ham/cheese sandwich was ok. My bestfriend said that her half of a chicken salad sandwich was lacking flavor. Then the cake slices came. My friend had the raspberry champagne cake and I had the Italian cream cake. Both slices were dry and flavorless. The only flavor was in the icing in between the layers. The bill was $70. We don't mind spending money for good food, but this was not it! The outer buttercream was not sweetened. It tasted like whipped butter. Instead of having a nice new experience to take my mind off of my grandmother, I was saddened more. Overall this place is over priced and flavorless. When we try new places to eat, we normally come back with a group of ladies from our church to support and have a great time together. I will not return to this place. We only finished the cake because it was $13. After finishing the cake my bestfriend got sick.

Matt Vaught

Macaroon cake... key lime pie... excellent stuff.

Karen Ross

We stumbled upon this place during our girl's trip. We were impressed before walking into the building. Once inside, we were taken aback by the amazing decor. THE DECOR WAS SPECTACULAR! I ordered the champagne raspberry cake - it was the best thing I've ever tasted, and the icing was as smooth as silk. The staff ensured that we had and amazing experience and we were greatly appreciative. This will definitely be on our list of places to visit on our return trips. Thank you, Cake Bake shop for blessing our souls!

sandra horn

Great experience! Gracious service Wonderful food Beautiful Interior Everyone Please visit this Great Restaurant and Bakery! New Carmel location Sandy

Adele Allen

Great food/service, friendly staff, and magnificent ambience! Definitely will be sharing this place with everyone i know! If i could pick one word to describe it as a whole would be ...Gourmet!

Amber Delwey

A lovely venue for a Magical day of celebrating our daughter, the Bride to Be! The food was as beautiful as the decor and the giant window made the room sun drenched. A wonderful memory and great food too!

Zoe Johnson

Its super cute in there! Pink and flowers everywhere. Great atmosphere. But I got a slice of the lemon cake and it was just okay for what we paid. Cake was kind of dry and a strange texture to the icing... very filmy but doesn't taste like anything. Sort of odd. Also got a lavender latte and it wasn't super flavorful and was lukewarm when handed to me. It was cute for a one time thing but I wouldn't go back. Super busy in there though so maybe I just got the wrong thing

Jeff Ferris

Very unique atmosphere. Cool!

Tylee Staggs

Great place! Very elegant and classy. Beautiful! Incredible deserts and food.

Martha Dye

I've had two 5-star experiences in Broadripple, but the Carmel location left something to be desired last night which was really disappointing. As the prices are significantly higher than the older location, I was expecting great service along with great food. It took 3 hours for a party of 4 to get through (and we did have a reservation) from appetizers to our to-go dessert. Our to-go cake and bills took pretty close to 45 minutes to get to us from order to exit. They were out of several drinks and desserts, and one of our party had a small piece of wrapper/paper in her soup which was met with a 'huh.' from the waiter and no offers to exchange her soup or get a manager, etc. I understand growing pains, I understand there will be hiccups as it's a new location but the waiter did not apologize or really acknowledge that this was less than ideal. We asked for to-go bags since he'd just handed us all a bunch of containers sans bags and it took flagging him down as he hurried past to finally get our bags and get out. The food WAS great. The location IS beautiful, but for what I paid, I also expect top shelf service and it was really lacking. I would suggest hiring more waitstaff ASAP as there were several frustrated tables around us too. I'll stick to Broadripple.
