Not only do they offer all vegan desserts, but their donuts are the best I have ever had. They offer unique donut flavors that change daily such as maple "bacon", cookies & cream, green tea, chia, and more. In addition, their cookies, cupcakes, and breakfast pastries are equally delicious. It's also a great spot to hangout with excellent WiFi and a Pacman arcade game to play.

Rainbow is extra sparkly and bright, the 1940s decor of pastel colors extends to their fun colored donuts. Most of their stock is vegan which is a fantastic offering. But for the rest of us it makes for a sweet, very augary dessert. Drip coffee from hopscotch. Im in need of something stronger.

I love vegan products! And am so happy a vegan bakery opened in our city. It’s a charming place on the Western side of downtown. The style is very modern hippie chick with a folksy charm. The baked products are tasty and I think most people would not guess its vegan. The donuts were tasty, I had both blueberry and coconut. Moist yet light. The cookies were average. Coffee was OK. I really liked the gluten free cookie, it was not “strange” at all.

I was in town to visit a friend, and we stopped in at Rainbow Bakery. The bakery has a charming atmosphere. It's colorful and the wall is filled with local artwork. The selection of treats offers a combination of unique flavors and classic tastes. Service with smiling employees, amazing donuts, muffins, and cookies. My 6-year-old son and I frequent this bakery. It’s our go to place to a conversation and sweet treat. His favorite is the cinnamon sugar donut, mine is the gluten-free sweet pea. Thank House brew coffee is awesome and offer all kinds of alternative creamers and sweetness. A trendy bakery with free wi-fi making it a perfect place to hang out with friends or get some work done. Rainbow Bakery has an entire case devoted to gluten free options and is a baked-good haven for vegans and non-vegans alike. Personal favourites include their gluten-free oatmeal cookie cream pie, pumpkin ginger muffin, sea salt chocolate chip cookie, the breakfast pastie and cheese and potato pastie (eager to try their chicken leak pastie, which I'm told is the best!) and all of their cupcakes. The single best thing I have ever bought from Rainbow was a custom order of salted caramel filled chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel chocolate icing (pictured). It seems their custom orders are currently unavailable, but I believe they plan to bring it back in the near future. Price is not cheap, but affordable - most items sit between $2-$4. Additionally, I will say that I am always a tad disappointed with the consistency and flavour of their well-loved donuts, but maybe that's just me! This place is a gem, regardless, and will be one of the things I miss most about Bloomington when I leave!

One of my favorite places to visit for a treat just west of downtown Bloomington. From donuts (cake) to cookies and brownies this place has what it takes to satisfy your sweet tooth. Light lunch fare and local coffee are also available. Best of all, everything is either vegetarian or vegan. Gluten-free options are available as well.

I'm glad a vegan bakery exists, but it's just okay. Not spectacular. Small in size and quantity—perhaps five or six options. Creative flavors though! Predictably hip. Neat art for sale on the walls. I appreciate the option of day-old donuts. But my heart lies with Colorado Donuts of Eagle Rock, California.

After expressing dissatisfaction, I asked if the owner/manager could please call me - I promptly received an email from Jane Kupersmith (the owner) that said “I think we’re finished here.” (!)

I went to this bakery in college, and it made my little heart sing. Great flavor options and vegan donuts with a delectible, moist texture. I special ordered a dozen donuts for a birthday and I noticed a very easy ordering process. It seems to have been much improved since the last special order I made years ago in which dates got mixed up. However, the trade off in the past years seems to be that the processes have improved, but the flavors have changed! Maybe I'm seeing the past with rose-colored glasses, but I remember much more interesting choices. Flavors like sage, rose, pink lemonade changed to strawberry, raspberry, and lemon poppyseed. I miss the daring choices, but also realize that may have been the flavors of the day. I hope to come back to some more adventurous flavors next time I stop in!

My mom is gluten free and I am vegan - we loveee to go here because there are so many options for both! They have donuts, muffins, and hand pies which are surprisingly yummy. The day old donuts are also still great, I usually get those because they are more affordable. I love the vibes there and most of the employees are friendly. 4/5 because the employee up front could be a lot more friendly and welcoming. There’s also this high pitch sounds every time I come in which makes me want to just eat and leave. I’d love to come in here and do some work too but the sound gives me a headache! I think it comes from the Pac-Man machine?

Have been going to rainbow bakery quite regularly this year! I am always greeted with cheerful employees, and always take a few minutes to decide what to order! The selection is different everyday, with classic-flavored doughnuts, to uncommon and interesting deserts. I always look forward to my biweekly doughnut and coffee, from my favorite cafe in Bloomington!
