Clean. Good service. Good food. Nice decor. At lunch you can have a meal, beverage, and a dessert for under $20. You can also get a meal with a glass of water for under $10. If there is a problem with your meal, they will fix it right away. Wednesday they have a special of a free slice of pie with certain meals. It's very busy. I have been meeting friends here for lunch for over 15 years.

Pies are all that remains good here. Waited 20-30 minutes to be seated for a table of 3 while half of the dining room was empty. Once we finally got seated at a table we placed our order and waited an Hour for our food. Not one of the orders was made correctly and non were special orders, all straight off the menu. Our waiter Paul was very nice and gave us a free soup while we waited for our meal. The soup was unfortunately cold. We won't be returning here unless it's to pick up a French silk pie. They used to have a lot better variety on their menu. Now it is mostly sandwiches and breakfast.

Went on a Sunday evening and was very busy compared to other Sundays I've been to. Pleasant place and tried their pie of the month, Pumpkin pie, had other layers beside Pumpkin but can't remember but it was very good. I always like this place.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I was charged twice for the same meal. And told if I could not produce the receipt, they could not refund my money without a bank statement, filing a form, and sending it off to the treasury department. I have never heard of such bad customer service.

All you can eat cod was not cooked all the way through, even after seconds, for [2] people. The manager thought he was doing me a favor buy only charging me for half of the meal, when it should have been free. When the manager came to the table I told him the fries were excellent because they were done. The cod was extremely greasy and undone!! The waitress was fine but the rest of the service sucked!!

I went there specifically for the butternut squash soup. My husband and I ordered the sandwich soup and pie deal. The waitress comes out with both orders but minus my soup and says "oh we don't have butternut squash soup this time of year" then the manager tells me the same thing. I go to pay and the girl at the register says" oh we just ran out of the soup" OK who was lying? I won't go back.

Order your pies online for the holidays for quick easy pick up. Staff is always friendly & have smiles even if a hectic day. Can get crowded some days.

We Patronized the Ohio location. We ordered 2 pies to Bring back to Michigan. The quality is DEFINITELY not the same as 30 years ago when they were in Michigan. They actually taste like frozen pies. They really use to taste like homemade pies. The crust was light, flaky an delicious. Not any more. We were truly disappointed! Not worth the gas from Michigan. Go to your local grocer and grab a frozen crust an make your own or just grab a frozen pie!

Last time I was here, I was not that impressed. Food is about as good as Denny’s. I ate breakfast here before and I remember that it was better. Maybe something changed. They do have good pie. I usually buy a pie for the wife on her birthday. I can’t say how it is because I don’t like banana cream pie and won’t eat it. She like it.

Staff is usually friendly. However, i have not been happy with the past 2 cheesecakes i have taken home. 1 i had to exchange due to the top being hard, and the last one, i got home, set 4 slices out with strawberry toppings and we start to eat them only to find there was the occasional raw onion in the strawberry toppings. I think i will try another location for my pies to go from now on.

I've been coming to this location for years for the pie and once in a while we'll eat in for a meal. They always have a good selection of Bakery and I have never really had a pie that I did not like. Most of the pies were range between 11 and $14 but being freshly made that is a fantastic price. The inside is very clean and well-maintained, the staff is courteous and quick to take your order. Outside the restaurant is safe and secure with lots of parking especially for bigger vehicles. I recommend this location to others and will continue to visit it myself.

Food is food, prices may be a tad higher than I prefer but I have gone here since I was a kid. The crowd is a tad older I would say 60’s and up but the staff is friendly. The building was updated but unfortunately the bathroom was not- they missed the mark for that. It’s usually quick service and the pies are great! Love the coupons you can sign up to receive on your phone. Holidays can be very hectic there especially at the register as they sell pies and have people order ahead of time. But good burger, fries, pita, stirfry and fried fish are some of our favorites and definitely try the cornbread!

Service at this location is usually just average. I have never be WOWed at this site and I have been here many times and on different days of the week. I have visited this site many times over the time frame of 25 years. This recent time my server was Jill and she was good in the area of taking care of my tables' needs. The cashier was Courtney, which was also the greeter when i walked in, and she simply rang me up and let me go. The staff here were all young, except for the managers who were well into their 50s. The womens restroom has a beat-up looking sink that looks past its prime and a whole lot of sticky glue by it where the old soap dispenser was. Has anyone ever heard of Goo Gone and a scraper? The stalls were well stocked with supplies. The men's restroom was clean, and the faucets ran very slow. It was as if the aerators were clogged. The food here is usually good. But I opted for a item I never tried before called the Chicken Stir Fry bowl. OMG, I got a 4-flush restroom visit 1 hour after leaving the restaurant. The bowl was bland in taste, but great in presentation. The presentation was veggies, crispy won tons, and chicken all well stacked. The won tons could had used some salt. It tasted okay, as to say nothing tasted rotten within it, since it consisted of many veggies, chicken, and mushrooms. It could have been just that I'm not used to all of that sauce and vegetables. So, I will not bad mouth the restaurant for serving an expired dish. I believe my body just wasn't ready for all of those veggies. In fact, I posted a photo of that dish right here on Google reviews to show you. Then later, I tried the Chocolate Indulgence pie, and that was VERY rich on the taste of chocolate. I had coffee to help wash it down, but it would have been better if I had milk to follow it. I posted a picture of the top view. I'd give better thoughts about the next closest location which is Lansing, Illinois. The Lansing, Illinois location seems to have more upbeat and caring servers which are older.

We ordered three meals, two came to the table on dirty plates. Assistant Manager was told about it and comped our entire bill adding free slices of pies. When the Manager came to our table, we explained what happened. She proceeded to explain that even though the plates were dirty, we shouldn't worry about getting sick as their dishwasher sanitizes the plates while they are being washed. We will never go back to this disgusting establishment.

Haven't been there in a while I had a coupon so decided to use it the server was friendly but was unavailable to get anything from after the meal came she disappeared.I needed a glass of water becsuse the bacon was so dry .I had to drink some of my sons coke which has caffeine which i can not have because of a heart condition. Did I mention there where only 3 tables being used place was pretty empty I could hear the severs laughing and talking in the back. So the check came I paid it and left a 8% tip and I let the manager know that I was unhappy with the service he said oh oh really yeah sorry about that . I can hear my server say Oh well as I was leaving at that point I wanted to ask for my tip back but i was done and wanted to get out of there I will never be going to that one again.

I usually love this place but have to give it 2 stars today because they ran out of pies on Pi day. Seriously! The manager forgot to order enough pies. Who does that?! We got there at 6 pm for dinner and pie, and the case was completely empty, with signs posted saying they were all out. They only had carrot cake and cheesecake . Not exactly what we were in the mood for.

Prices overall have gone up, food quality has gone down. Slices of pie have gotten smaller, drink prices have gone through the roof. Wondering if maybe this restaraunt is on its way out.

Great place for dinner and pie! Even though they have seasonal pies I still were recommended for dessert but don't forget that their main entrees are wonderful. They have a very robust menu of variety from breakfast lunch dinner and low calorie options. And it seems to be a wonderful place for seniors to go and enjoy themselves for evening meal or late-night snack.

Still the best place for a piece of coconut/banana cream pie. Our server was efficient and pleasant and the chili was awesome. We couldn't stop talking about the chili for a few days...really. Update 02/19/2018: Went back to see if chili was consistent, and it was. Delicious. Two servings of chili, one salad, a soft drink and a water: $17 plus tip. Great lunch that won't break the bank. Hardest part was not ordering some pie.

Their food is pretty good, but their portions could be a little bigger. I've noticed that it's highly popular with senior citizens, that's usually the majority of the people in there. Service can be hit or miss but it's never too bad. I will say that this place does have excellent pie! My family orders them for holidays sometimes and they are quite good!!

Baker Square has been around for a while now, and since I've been going there, they have always been good. New menus every now and then with new items definitely makes it worth continuing going there. Service is always good. And you cannot beat free pie Wednesday! (Buy an entree and get a slice for free. My only gripe is they pulled the sesame oriental dressing from the stores. It was so good!

Baker's Square is an awesome place to eat. I love not only the food but also the hospitality of the employees. They are very friendly and polite. Everyone says "hello" and makes me feel welcome. They have great breakfast items, burgers, pot pies, and of course delicious baked pies. This restaurant is very clean, including the bathrooms, which is very important to me. I'd definitely recommend this family-friendly restaurant.

Great breakfast. The 4 square breakfast is so good and their pie is the greatest!! The French Toast is to die for and everything is cooked to perfection. They were always famous for their pies and picking them up for a party is so easy and convenient. You must try the French Apple pie or the Oreo Cookie Crunch

Baker's Square has been THE pie establishment since it was Poppin' Fresh off my youth. We ate there a lot when I was a kid. But, honestly, I don't go there for food anymore. I came even offer a quantitative experience as it's been so long. Let's be real. You go to Baker's Square for the pie. Albeit truly unhealthy and I'm guessing made with artificial ingredients, but I found it nearly impossible to find a list of ingredients on line. Trans fat is listed in the nutrition lists. But, again, pie is the cornerstone of the restaurant, and I pick up a French Silk every now and again.

What started out as a bad experience ended up with a satisfied customer, who will return. I told our server that the chicken in my $11.95 lunch was extremely "over-done". She asked the manager to step in. He kindly offered to re-do it for me. I told him I would just finish the artichokes, spinach and tomatoes for now. Moments later, he brought over a fresh order of chicken with lemon sauce in a take-out container.

The food we ordered was fantastic but the service felt a little rushed for barely being half busy in the middle of the day. My wife and I were having a nice conversation over our meal when we were impolitely interrupted three times, twice by our server and once by management. While I can appreciate the attentiveness, it should always start out with "Excuse me, folks..." And if you see your customer is in deep in conversation you should wait, or pass them up and come back a little later. Food gets 4 stars, hospitality gets 2 stars, for a grand total of 3.

We just bought a house here in Schererville and our first time at this restaurant was the day we did our final walk through at our home. We see where it’s free pie Wednesday and of course we stop and let me say it was our coldest day of the season, all other restaurants were closed but here. Paul was our waiter and he blew us away with his service, just want to say we were back the following Wednesday and it wasn’t because of the pie
