Christopher Hamilton

Wonderful atmosphere. Love the sodas and flavors they offer. Their different offerings of savory and sweet keep me coming back!

Viktoria Kölling

Super yummy pies and cookies, definitely worth it! They have some unique combos that are incredibly yummy. Super cozy lounge and very friendly staff.

Jenene Ravesloot

We love Spinning J Bakery. Wonderful service, great treats and coffee. We will be back!!!

John Strawn

Great little bakery and coffee stop. A little on the loud side but... It is in Chicago.

Emily Fuder

Well-kept secret in Humboldt Park! My mom used to talk about this place before I moved here, and the hype was real. Great service, inventive menu, delicious meal, and wonderful ambiance. It’s so fun to sit up by the soda counter!

Scott Strand

Super special one-of-a-kind place with superb fresh hand-made bakery and excellent coffee. The toasted buttermilk biscuit with butter and jam is a snack I will come for again and again. Support this rarity!

ROBERT BRIDGE

My favorite spot to go in the neighborhood. Their breakfast muffin is delicious. Always get a slice of pie to-go even though I never want it at the time. But when I get home to eat it with dinner I wish I’d bought more! Get the pie to-go you’ll thank yourself later.

sue pitkin

I wish this cool place was in my hood; I love the hibiscus tea and the baked goods here. The place is what I imagine lots of restaurants might have looked like in the 20’s and 30’s and because of this it has a really welcoming feel.

Carl Long

Friendly, fresh and fancy!

Melanie johnson

Very good coffee. I had a slice of almond cake that was divine. Charming interior.

Fatima Tlatilpa

It's ok here only I bought a milkshake and I gave the cashier a 20 and she gave me 4 dollars back? I did realise till I got to my bus. This place is already over price as it is for them to steal more than just 6.00 I want my 10 dollars back.

Angela Campos

Absolutely love this place. The roasted poblano and Chipotle sandwich was so tasty. Beautiful and quaint. Can't wait to come back.

Janer Akkas

Cool experience with cool people. A pinch pricey.

MELA MujeresEnLasArtes

Best place for pie, coffee and healthy comfort food.

Ann Smith

My friends & I stayed at an airbnb in Humboldt Park and was looking for a quick and delicious breakfast spot since we didn't have time for a sit down. We came here on Saturday morning around 10 and there was a line, but not too bad. I ordered the spinning j breakfast sandwich with bacon & decided to get a peach nectarine and cherry crumble pie. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and it filled me up. My favorite was definitely the pie. It was SO good. I didn't think the flavors would go well together, but they did and I wanted more. It looks like they switch up the pie flavors, which is pretty cool if you're a regular and like to try everything on the menu.

Grant Farmer

Good food and atmosphere. Popular place so be prepared for possibly a short wait.

Nima Shams

It's a d*** good fresh pie any time during the year. Their pies are well worth it! Another gem on one of the best & most underrated food street corners in the city!

Kristi O'Meara

Always a pleasure to stop by Spinning J! With so many great options on the menu, its hard to pick a favorite... but currently, the Saag Paneer Pot Pie has captured my heart.

Collin McShane

Love Spinning J. Just had the pizza for the first time and it was awesome.

elena florea

Nice people and good service.

Dani Poplin

The house made Ginger Lime soda was stellar. Super refreshing and not too sweet. The breakfast sandwich with bacon was exactly what I was craving. The milkshakes are creamy and perfectly sweet. The atmosphere was also great. A nice ambiance.

Joseph Uhrich

Carefully thought out recipes. Good ingredients. Great coffee. Didn't have any treats and they have LOTS. WILL go back.

TheLabrat2358

If you love scones, that's the spot

Ryan Chan

Never disappoints. A truly one of a kind spot. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Anne Carmack

Love this old school soda fountain place! Plus freshly baked and prepared pies, cookies, sandwiches and more. Cool interiors as well!

Max Paulson

Fun little soda and pie shop. Good variety of flavors, and refreshing drinks!

Rebecca Hanson

Great food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere - all adds up to a great experience! We're always looking for unique places to try when we travel and this gets all the thumbs up from our family. The in-house made food was so fresh and delicious: grilled cheese, blt, chicken pot pie, s'mores pie, and so much more!!

Megan Matthew

Accessibility: No steps to enter. Order: Place order at counter then find a seat. Printed menus and menus on chalk board located on ground & elevated level. Majority of seats are standard hight, some seats are bar are elevated. There are limited tables where a person in a wheelchair could also be seated. Lighting: during the day it was well light.

Dybbuk Klezmer

Wonderful did and great and varied sodas. They have some sandwiches and rotating quiche and strata, but the stars are there pies and pot pie.

Jack Thomas

I ordered egg, bacon, and cheese English muffin. The muffin...homemade on premises...delicious. These wonderful owners have a wonderful spot, great attitude, and splendid food. Shakes/Malts...Oh...dont forget...they bake their own cakes and pies.

T Buffo

Adore this place! The cookies are my favorite and drinks too. The atmosphere is so fun and nostalgic. Service always excellent. What do you expect in Humboldt Park...cool awesomeness of course.

Diego Garber

Excellent coffee! I really recommend the Strata. Historic old school feeling gives it a great ambience

Aaron

Great food and friendly prompt service.

Jennifer Chan

Captures the essence of the soda fountain era where life seemed much simpler. Good balanced flavors in the savory foods. The toasted homemade rye and sourdough breads that the sandwiches were made from were so earth shatteringly crisp (almost crouton like). The soda drinks (I had the passion fruit palmer) and desserts (I had the yuzu cranberry meringue) were tooth achingly sweet. Delicious but too sweet for my taste.

Sara Bell

Amazing chicken pot pie.

Christy Okimoto

The absolute best pies in Chicago.

Kristina Carrillo

Best shakes and Friday Pizza nights are so good! Also, big fan of their s'mores pie

Tyler Small

This bakery is insanely good. I come here quite often (whenever I can) and the scones, pies, and anything with crust is always delicious. Come in on a Friday after 5 and you'll be in for an amazing Pizza Night special Pizza slice, salad, house made soda, 10 dollars. You won't regret visiting this place.

Kyle Anderson

BEST PIE IN CITY! The pizza on fridays have become a part of my girlfriend's and my weekly date routine. So good! You're messing up if you choose anywhere else. Happy eating

Dr Rahman

No hot chocolate...

Elli Sutter

Wow. Do i ever love this place. the strata and quiche and cookies and pastries and pie and ruben are all INCREDIBLE! plotting the right moments to try a pot pie or paneer. the pink walls with large gold stamps of samaras, the pink lotus lanterns and soft globe lighting. Behind the bar looks like an early 1900s chemistry soda fountain lab. and to the staff- yall are always so pleasant AND working so hard. Awesome job. it's such a magical and delicious place!!

cameron murray

The retro interior is charming, but the food is the real star! Try the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit!

Golda Sinyavskiy

Solid thai tea like soda! The key lime pie wasn't my favorite (not a pie fan), but my partner looooved it!

Kayla Kintigh

I used to frequent this place when I lived nearby. I moved a few years ago, but we recently had pie catered from Spinning J for our wedding and the deliciousness and quality has not changed. Everyone was asking us for Spinning J's address so they could go there for more pie. Dinah was also so easy to work with when coordinating. It honestly was the easiest part of planning the wedding. Thank you!

Smiley Luna

Awesome food, beverages, and pies! Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. It feels very laid back and comforting. I love the s'mores pie and coffee and pizza. The sandwiches are incredible

Jessicka Raygun

The pies are and sodas are so delicious and the staff is always fantastic

Jason Wendt

Mmm delicious pie

David Makris

Great stop for breakfast/lunch. Not a huge menu, but they know exactly how to do everything they serve. Can’t wait to come back!

Amanda Wilson

The shakes and the cookies are delicious. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. I love it here and the staff is very friendly. I've seen commuters waiting for the bus come in a grab a glass of water without making a purchase, that exemplifies joining the community.

Henry Smith

I bring every out-of-towner here. so precious and tasty. if I were on death row, the strata would be my last meal of choice ❤️

Matt Weis

Malts are amazing, food is delicious, ambience is on point. Will definitely be back.

Mercedes B

My favorite place for dessert but also love their brunch/breakfast. Saag paneer pot pie is definitely worth any wait time!

Norma Spaulding

Good interesting and delicious breakfast

Olga Bernad

Great pie!! Cute modern diner!

Beth Leyba

Cute spot. Wish they had more gluten free options.

Paul Arabie

I've been in this neighborhood long enough to remember when this space was a frame shop and then an art gallery. I'm glad it found its retail legs with Spinning J. A great place to grab a coffee, slice of pie or malted and watch California and Augusta Aves. pass by on soda jerk stool. You can tell the people working here are dedicated to making this place work. They're friendly and focused on the simple things. It's a once a week stop in for me.

chris kopecky

Spinning J crushed my dreams today. I was confident after years of practice and adjustments, that I had mastered the art of the perfect tuna melt...and then I tried theirs. From the grilled homemade bread, to the brilliant inclusion of slightly sweet red onions, I had to accept the fact that these guys had me beat. On the plus side I have a new favorite lunch spot on the west side. Terrific bakery, delicious coffee, cozy dining room and friendly staff, absolutely hands down a 5 star destination for a meal or snack.

Daniel Núñez

The breakfast sandwich is amazing. Lovely space great service. This sourdough I'm stuffing into my face is especially delicious

Meg S

This place is exceptional. As a vegetarian, they have unique options that are tasty (hello Beet Reuben, I love you). Their pies are divine and they are out of a lot of stuff because they are divine. Yea, you heard it here first. This place is popular for good reason. Get there early and eat up!

Konrad L

Holy heck, banana cream pie was so good. Great music too

Kurt

Best pie in the city, for real. Kinda pricey but well worth the money. It's my favorite restaurant in the area.

Hafsa Siddiqui

Very friendly and cozy place. they're usually out of a lot of things, but the things they do have are good quality. If u want to try the mexican chocolate only get one scoop. It starts getting too spicy after the first few bites. Their chocolate chip cookies aren't as soft as I would like.

Tisa Morris

Pasties and delicious food in an old time soda shop setting. Attentive, charming staff

Laura Briz

Pies are great; many lovely flavors. Service is good. Place is small so not a lot of seating but we have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. We finally tried their Friday pizza and it was awesome, on a focaccia-like crust.

Connor McShane

10/5 stars

Matthew Geerling

Pie of the day, pizza Fridays, the best tuna melt I've ever had, out-of-this-world breakfast sandwiches, specialty coffee beverages, shakes, and cozy atmosphere to boot.

Jay Mitchell

Spinning J is cool. While the menu for non-sweets is limited, the offerings are carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and complex yet tasty flavors. The setting is cozy and clean, a bit of a time-warp into the 1930s. Sit at the bakery bar or in a booth and enjoy delicious coffee, teas, light lunch and amazing desserts.

Peter Brissette

Was in town a couple days and happened by this little cafe. I had their breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee. The sandwich was delicious and very freshly made. The coffee was excellent as well. If you are in the area check it out.

josh stark

S'alright. Food was tasty. Their aesthetic was "Let's gentrify Humboldt park"

David Mallow

Outstanding food and coffee. I want to go back and try everything they make.

Rick Berger

Great coffee, pies and breakfast sandwich. What more could you ask for?

Todd Zarlengo

Quick friendly service, excellent coffee...you won’t be disappointed!!!

Benjamin Low

It’s honestly soooo good. Everything looks and sounds amazing. I definitely recommend.

ashlen beckley

This is my favorite spot in Chicago. It's a block away from my house so I think I go there too often! I have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is phenomenal. Also the staff is incredible and welcoming and warm. You should definitely try spinning J if you haven't yet already!

Jose Cervantes

Best shakes in the city. And the food is great too!

Kathryn Cervantes

Super cute cafe, loved the vegetarian beet Rueben option.

K Jones

Great pastry selection, milkshakes, and sodas. I like that they are open on the late side for a lunch type place.

Roberto Flores

My new favorite place for root beer floats and milkshakes. Go here anytime over Margie's.

grace esparza

Great service. Excellent food, since a lot of it is made in house. It's cozy and quaint. I would recommend it for those weekend brunchies. Not so great if you have kids in a stroller, since the space is tight.

william bennett

I have to come back when I can stay longer. Just picked up a few treats from the bakery case. The soda fountain looks like fun.

Andrew Barnish

The strata was excellent! One of my new favorite places for a quick bite and coffee.

Duke Dalke

I just happened upon Spinning J while driving through Humboldt. I was delighted that I stopped! Fantastic food, great service! Try the blue cheese muffins.

Fabiola Hungate

Breakfast and lunch limited to a couple of choices. However all the baked goods make up for everything. Great coffee, hot and iced. I can't comment on the shakes because I don't drink those, but they seem to be known by them as well. Cute, small, comfortable place.

Shelby Corson

The quiche crust was some of the best I have ever had!! Can't recommend highly enough!! ❤️❤️

Jenna Krueger

What a phenomenal pie place! I have never had a piece of rhubarb pie. It was a piece of heaven! Please check this place out especially if you live in the city.

Tommy Wilson

Awesome food, friendly staff, and they have coffee. Trifecta.

Ethan Cohen

All I've tried so far is the pie ( peanut butter and jelly and key lime hibiscus) and it was amazing.

Patrick Davis

Delicious!! Try the s'mores pie!

Dana Richards

Our favorite place in the neighborhood! Dangerously good, ugh. Wish I didn't come here as often because those pastries... my goodness

Steve McGuire

Nice clean place. Neat old soda fountain

R Daniel Dixon

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff

Ok -

Fantastic food and sodas! Would totally recommend on a stroll around town

Joseph Santaniello

Great food, great coffee, great pies! Charming atmosphere and decor.

Amy Wu

The pies and sodas at this retro place are unique and delicious. You can't go wrong with meringue pies ( their meringue has perfect texture), specifically raspberry lemonade. If the place gets crowded, there is a small bench for 2 outside for enjoying a pastry and beverage.

Peter Tierney

They are well known for their baked goods and they delivered. Their custom soda in unique and refreshing.

Austin L. Wright

A very consistent, high quality bakery. The biscuits are great, coffee is fine, and other treats are tasty. The main issues are seating (which is quite limited) and prices (which are 10-15% higher than what I would expect from a place in this location).

Alia Allard

Great little place to grab some dessert.

Sophy Bishop

One of the best BLTs I've ever had. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Pie of course is the big draw, wish I could have tried more!

Amanda O

Spinning J is my husband and my favorite place in Chicago. Definitely a highlight of Humboldt Park's neighborhood. Also, I am a huge fan of Chicago's food scene, there are so many great places to go. But this one really takes the prize for pie (and I had Bang Bang Pie Shop--another excellent shop--cater my wedding, so I really mean this endorsement!) Hope you try them out and show them some love. I just hope they bring back the raisin roll which was the best I've ever had in any city.

Monica Newton

Wonderful chicken pot pie. Cute diner atmosphere.

Bryce Allen

The saag paneer pot pie is the greatest culinary invention of all time, and brilliantly executed. The sweet pies, cakes, and pastries are also amazing!

Peter O'Mara

Great breakfast and lunch offerings with friendly service. I had the breakfast sandwich on a blue cheese biscuit, which was delicious. My son, ordinarily a carnivore, got the beet Reuben and loved it. The old fashioned sodas were also a big hit.

Eric Oplinger

This is definitely my go to place, very friendly people with great service and very tasty food. Love it

Lost Girls

Love the fresh pastries and that it’s a female owned business!

Erin Collard

Cute little bakery. Unique selection of pies, cookies, gelato, quiche. Prices are moderate. There is also a full food menu.

Somaya Gh

Breakfast Chipotle sandwich was very tasty! And I loved the chocolate coconut pie!

Not Applicable

Cute, eclectic coffee house

Ed Letchinger

Biscuits and scones were all we tried, and they were amazingly great. If we lived nearby we could gain a lot of weight!

John Sweetwood

The cafe takes great care in turning out high quality products, from the biscuits and jam to the breakfast sandwiches and pies. Like many places in the area, there is a cool hipster indifference to some of the staff but in general this is a fantastic place that is worth a visit whether you are local to the neighborhood or have to travel. Not suitable for groups larger than 4. Ideal for small plates and quick, yet delicious meals.

tremblaysheri90

That spinning J breakfast sandwich on a buttermilk biscuit was out of this world. Their latte was so velvety and smooth. I loved it. My friend told me to try their handmade sodas. I’ll try it next time.

Lyndsay Palmer

This place is adorable, delicious, and the staff is perfect! Thank you Spinning J

D F

It has been a positive experience every time we have gone. The owner is out of this world involved in customer service. I can't say enough about the food, service, & owner! I'll keep going back for all the amazingness ! Thanks all for making the outstanding food & excellent service. Thanks Martha ( I think ) for bringing us such a great place with your wonderful food.

Chris Krolczyk

Pie. Gelato. Coffee. 50's decor with a subtle punk edge. So good a place for dessert that I can't remember where my group ate beforehand, and if that's not a recommendation I don't know what is.

David Reed

Such amazing food, even better pie and people!

Jordan DeArmon

From the pies, to the milkshakes, to the cinnamon rolls, to the egg sandwich, to the cola's.....SPINNING J DOES EVERYTHING RIGHT! You can not go wrong with anything of your choosing. Enjoy... It's an amazing place with a throw-back vibe!

Dom Powells

Spinning J, oh, how you delight me! I've visited Spinning J twice, both times on Sunday afternoon. It's pretty small and popular, so there's usually at least a small wait for a table. It's well worth the wait. They always have some fresh and tasty breakfast dish (I got the vegetarian quiche both times) on the specials board and there are plenty of pleasing regular menu items as well. I plan to have dessert only on my next visit so that I can try some of the delicious pies I've seen.

meghan roach

Really awesome old school diner feel. Went on a Friday at 5pm and it was full, but not crowded. Found a seat quickly after ordering but be aware, seating is very limited. Had the Sicilian cheese pizza and the egg cream Thai soda, a recommendation from the host. Both were amazing. We took pie and a handcrafted shake to go and when we were leaving at 6pm, the dinner crowd really picked up. None the less the staff were attentive and friendly. Great hidden gem in the area.

Stanislav Khanyukov

Simply the best!

Casey Ong

Good pie and passionfruit cheesecake was divine! Will have to go back to try the reuben....

Fabrice raud

Simple, great quiche. Good price

Meagan McKinnon

The most adorable! I always get the tuna melt, never disappointed. The breakfast sandwich is also amazing, on that fresh baked-in-house English muffin. Milkshakes & malts are like the best in the city. I take all my out of town visitors here

Andrii Varko

Ordered 4 to go sandwiches for my road trip and when time came to consume them, it appeared they were not the ones that I ordered. Called the store to point on the mistake hoping on some kind of a refund or store credit but instead I was told that I received what I paid for (paid correct price for wrong sandwiches) and promise to not make mistakes again which I don't care about since I'm not going to come back. Also ended up not eating those wrongly made sandwiches Update: After this review was left, I got a call from the shop and received a refund. Wish they did it right away and not after complain online. Changing to 3 start

Ramya Rajan

Delicious pies! Cute place, esp the old ceiling

Steffi Johnson

I am a big fan of Spinning J's. It's the perfect local little Soda Shop to have on the corner! Their pastries are unreal. Menu is good, and they have a lot of specials based on what's in season, but the menu isn't terribly deep. If you're trying to avoid x, y, or z this coming January you might have better luck somewhere else. Still I do love their menu, but I wouldn't mind a salad option on there if I'm not wanting bread (I fully recognize that makes me a bit high maintenance and pretentious, I just feel like you guys would make some amazing non basic salads based on your daily quiche and starta offerings!!) Staff is above and beyond friendly, the quintessential neighborhood feel. It's a small kitchen so don't pop in if you're in a rush, a hot sandwich order typically takes about 15 to 20 min to come up. But if you're looking for a leisurely time and some great coffee or fancy soda's, BOMB PASTRIES, in a very warm and welcoming environment, you have to go to Spinning J's!

Karen Greiner

Cozy and delicious! I had the best tuna melt I've ever had here. Great scones also, not dry at all- with a tasty glaze.

Margarita Herrera

The biscuits are so good, I highly recommend in an egg sandwich with a chai latte!

Wes Shepherd

Love this place. Staff is ridiculously friendly. The sodas are top notch and unique. And the food is phenomenal. I highly recommend the chicken pot pie. The decor and atmosphere are adorable and as old school as you can get. A Chicago gem, to be sure.

Irene Rodriguez

I love this place, great food and the atmosphere takes me back to my childhood. Love that it can be a hangout for the chiarts students.

Jorie Moore

The atmosphere is absolutely adorable. The sodas are all great (try the celery!) and I'm a huge fan of their breakfast sandwiches; the poblano is my favourite. The pot pie and quiche are great. I actually rarely get the pie, but all of the kinds I've had have been amazing.

adam koch

Excellent pie and baked goods. Small menu but everything is delicious

Jake Hawkesworth

This place is a gem. You walk in and feel taken back to the 1940s, and order up at the counter. The prices are very reasonable (soda, salad and pizza for $10 was the special when we went). The pizza and pies were absolutely amazing. The smores pie was my favorite of the savories, and as for the sodas, they were all so good I couldn't even pick. Our table got grape, lemon, ginger, and Thai tea egg cream. I loved the glasses they came in and that the sodas were not too sweet. It felt like such an event going here! The salad was perfectly dressed and very fresh. The owners are the absolute sweetest. Would recommend, and will definitely be back!

Nathan Bilancio

Amazing coffee, baked goods, shakes, pies, sandwiches and more make this retro soda fountain bar turned cafe a must visit for anyone in the Humboldt Park area looking for their new favorite breakfast or brunch spot. Can't wait to go back.

Lily C.

I didn't know a simple breakfast sandwich could be so delicious. I also ordered the passionfruit palmer; it was just the right amount of sweetness. Will definitely go back again.

Jeannine Daboub

It's a nice environment, bottomless coffee and delicious pie

Irina S Dimitrov

I call it a bakery because you can buy pies and espresso but it has a bar. So it's a bar-kery? I tried the very big slice of Almond Matcha tea cake with cappucino, and a breakfast sandwich, and i've got to say: the sandwich was small (critical voice: what did i expect for that price?), but it was delicious. Soft on the inside but slightly crunchy on the outside. How do they do that? Not a great place to stay for 2 hours and work because the space is limited and it's not meant to be a working space. 1940's vibe for whoever gets nostalgic. Always great music. One bathroom.

Regina Alvarez

This cute family owned bakery/restaurant is awesome!! Best biscuits ever!! And the owner/Baker is so nice and helpful!! My son goes there often and I go when ever I'm in Chicago! A must try destination!!

Luke Aguirre

Delicious food here! The hardest part is deciding what to eat. Then try to save room for pie. The bread is phenomenal. Enjoyed the whole experience of diner style with great flavorful food. I had the tuna melt, which was perfect with the white cheddar and I recommend putting some bacon on it, cause why not? My fiance had the ham and gruyere, which I typically don't like gruyere, but it paired well with the apricot spread and rye bread. Gave it an umami flavor. Really wanted to try the chicken pot pie but they were out. The strawberry rhubarb soda was really refreshing, wish it was a little colder. The pie flavors were unique and glad I tried the s'mores one and also the key lime hibiscus. Highly recommended for a casual breakfast or lunch and will definitely got back to try everything I didn't get.

Bec McHenry

Hands down best scone (aka ‘biscuit’) I have ever had in my life!! Great setting too, wonderful place to sit and enjoy a bite and coffee.

Kyle Stoffers

Came in for a casual date a few weeks ago and had a good time. The decor gives a very casual, rustic feel and the staff was appropriately courteous and welcoming. It's counter service and we ordered lattes and some pie which came quickly. The Latte was was great and the pie was delicious! I'm excited to go back to try more of their food!

Lynn Meissner

So delicious and cute! Loved it!

Diana Lopez

Fresh diner food, liked the cheesy grilled cheese sandwich, served with some chips and a pickle, the phosphate soda was good. I didn't expect to pay as much as I did though.

Patrick Powers

I love this place. If you need your sweet fix...this is the place to go! I used to drive from Rogers Park to go get my fill of Ice Cream Shakes or Pie. Go you won't be disappointed

david wang

Always a good place to grab a bite

Mark Guagenti

Great pies and great sodas, what's not to love? Excellent brunch if you can find seating. I wish they were open later!

Mark Florence

Such tasty pies and shakes

Bob Dickens

Quaint and tasty.

David Czuprynski

Pie, coffee food. If you don't like anything here there is something wrong with you.

Teresa Lambarry

Have been wanting to come here for a while was not disappointed everything was delish the quiche, coffee, and slice of almond cake.

Alexander Radovic

Nice atmosphere and delicious selection of imaginative pies.

Emily Jeffries

We got a carryout order of chicken pot pie, saag paneer pie, and peanut butter and jelly pie. All were very good but the saag paneer was my favorite.

Michelle A

You're transported back in time as soon as you walk through the door and all of the bakery items taste as good as they look in the old glass cases.

Daly Foncree

Best desert!

Samantha Miller

This is wonderful little spot. It has an old-timey feel. Also, the food and coffee was amazing. I got the egg and aged cheddar breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. The biscuit was homemade and the best biscuit I’ve ever eaten. They also make the English muffins from scratch too. Cute place that I highly recommend.

Desiree W

Always tasty!! Such a good space to come hang for a bit and enjoy the morning.

Joe Mapes

Hands down my fav coffee/bakery shop in Chicago. My sons love the place too!

Sean Lynch

Great place for pie, sandwiches, coffee, ice cream drinks. Have that sag paneer pot pie, you'll thank me!

Frank Cihak

Excellent soup and sandwiches plus first class pies

William McCord

Small place but moves quickly. By the time we figured out what we wanted and ordered, we were able to find a seat. Everything was delicious. I had an iced coffee and shared a slice of the Hibiscus Key Lime pie with a friend. Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood.
