Had a feta and cheese croissant, and it was flaky and filled with yummy spinach and cheese. I left with a bag full of pastries, and thought the Napolean was the best ever. Lovely customer service. Clean bathrooms.

This is the only place in town I've found fresh churros! The rest of their sweets are affordably priced ...but: Tamales. Tamales. Tamales. The end.

I am not in downtown Urbana often but after visiting Rick's Bakery I will be there more. The ham and swiss croissant was amazing, the churro was devoured by my 2 year old, and the cappuccino was well made. The atmosphere is nice and appropriate for a bakery. I definitely want to go back and try some of the desserts and other delightful looking options (the empanadas especially). A great place and I look forward to visiting them often.

I've had a couple things from Rick's and they were delicious. Most recently I had a spinach and feta croissant, and it was really quite good. Other places in town make this croissant with too much feta, which not only makes the croissant soggy, but is also not very tasty. The croissant pastry was very good as well, actually more like pilsbury croissants, but that's alright with me. The drip coffee was gross though. Don't get the drip coffee.

Rick is a pleasure to do business with: his pastries are good, the prices are reasonable, and he is dependable. The cake disappeared in 5 minutes! Everything I've ever purchased from here has been a hit with guests.

It's a good bakery with fresh breads and pastries. Burritos too. I like that they have coffee drinks too, like espresso. A couple of seats, but mainly a bakery.

Their cakes are always incredibly moist. They have them at crazy good prices, 16 inches are usually around $16 - $20. I always get celebration cakes here because they have great flavors (mango mousse, les treches, strawberry shortcake, chocolate gancache) and the prices are so good. The bread they sell, and especially the dessert loaves like brownie bread, lemon poppy seed and banana nut, are also amazing. The dessert loaves are only $4 to boot. Insane prices for crazy good quality, and always delicious. So glad they moved to a more accessible area, and I'll be stopping by a lot more often.

Ricks is amazing. We normally get the delicious tres leches but recently we ordered the “Princess cake” for our kid’s birthday. It’s a traditional Swedish cake and they do it brilliantly. Also the decoration (Lion theme) was fantastic!!

Love, love, love this bakery. Rick is very talented, the array of baked goods is large and delicious. They just added an expresso machine. They can make any special order you want. They will be making bread cubes for Thanksgiving stuffing this year.

We have been their royal customers. Rick made us our wedding cakes(a lot of bite-size cup cake instead of one big wedding cake.) And those cakes goes out the fastest! People keep coming to tell us that's amazing. We bought several birthday cakes there as well. The last one we bought is flung. It's simply amazing. Many friends asked us where we got it.

I heard a lot about this place, but when I went there, I was a bit disappointed. Firdtly, the number of cakes that they had ready were much smaller than the choice on their menu. Secondly, they were quite luke warm towards me, which was slightly putting off. Finally, the cake itself was not that great; I've had better cakes in Champaign itself

It's Good. I can't say great because like with every good bakery, they don't provide a "nutrition facts" label/ingredients and some of the pies/cakes are very expressive. Plus they don't allow whatever Mexican toppings on their Tortas, and that is ridiculous.

Good selection of fresh breads and pastries. The empanadas are tasty, they should try new flavors for the Vegan option. The sweet treats from Rick's are the best in town. I highly suggest you forego typical breakfast sweets and peruse the selection at Rick's: bear claws, chocolate croissants, fruit snails, sugar donuts, etc. They're just excellent.

Kept hearing about this place from different people. Finally made my way over (it's kind of out of the way - I'd never have found it myself!) and was not disappointed. I had gone with someone and we thought we'd get two pastries to share (I chose a palmier because they looked irresistible, and he chose a bear claw). We spent a bit looking around and chatting with the woman working the counter. After listening to us deliberate, she actually threw an apple turnover in to the bag because she thought we'd like it. We liked all of them. I've tried their brownie bread, too (a co-worker brought some leftovers in). Even not fresh it was dangerously good. Haven't tried any of their breads, but I look forward to trying some this year when they come to the market. I just wish they weren't so far away.
