At present the business receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and this score has been calculated on 413 reviews.

As you know, we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bakery is classified in the category of Restaurant.
Good rolls. There's something on the ceiling near the front windows aloft. It does fall, smell, and taste like bat guano.
A little pricey on the sandwiches for the amount of meat it brings. But overall not that bad. The desserts looked amazing but I'll have to try them next time :)
Ridiculously tasty pastries/cookies, and good coffee.
Love this place! Love the peaceful, classy ambience and the yummy small breakfasts, lunches. Great tea and coffee. Peaceful.
One of my new favorite spots. The pastries here display a very high level of skill by the staff I will return, and recommend
Hands down, the #1 thing we will miss most about Lincoln Park when we move. Almond croissant is my favorite - better than all the croissants we had in Paris! Everything Floriole makes from breakfast pastries to salads and sandwiches to pizza to sweets is always simple but unique and just excellent. Gorgeous interior and super friendly staff as well. Thank you for being such a great neighborhood spot for us!
My favorite coffee and bakery in town for their coffee and baked goods. At the location, everything is just so - it's got the feeling of the Nancy Meyers movie you've always wanted to occupy.
I stopped in before getting a hair cut for breakfast. A decent sized line was cleared in 5-6 minutes with no sacrifice to quality in cappuccino I ordered. Fantastic cakes and worthy of the Food and Wine 'Americas best bread and bakeries'.
Loved the sweets, desserts tasted fresh and I didn't really feel any artificial ingredients. Everything was up to par!
Great baked goods and brunch options. Beautiful, sunny spot with upstairs seating. Helpful staff.
Exceptional quality and customer service.
not much bread, but what they have is nice
The bakery is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. They are known for their croissants and coffee . The Shakshuka is a hearty order and delicious !
There were so many that I wanted to try but I only had their all day lunch menu ricotta and some cherries on the house sour dough... simple, savory, not overwhelming but still good! I'd love to visit again and try all others that looked amazing!:)
Good is really good and fresh but a little expensive. But I love it
Ordered their delicious Koign-Amann
Great bakery! Excellent bread, sandwiches, pastries, cakes, and coffees. Perhaps, the best oat meal cookie I ever had!
Pleasant service and nice interior.
Decent casual French inspired cafe and bakery. I was meeting with a Linkedin Acquaintance for the 1st time and mentioned about this place near his work. I am glad i did not pay since i was unemployed at the moment and was about to pay be he was generous to treat so I took the offer. Again it was not Bad. I had a deep dish Quiche vegetable style since they served it another way (I think with ham) with meet but was watching my diet. It was delicious with fresh Spinach on top. They also had a side of "Popcorn" which I thought was odd to serve for Quiche which is why I labeled it "French Inspired" and not Authentic Traditional Haute French Cuisine. The croissants look good too but French Cuisine to me focuses on the taste and not how full you feel so I ate light. Prices too where good as well. Not expensive. I would go again to try the other Delicateness dishes. Otherwise a new one on my list despite passing by here when I used to Bicycle ride.
Half hour before closing and they had nothing to offer other than plain croissants.
Amazing quiche. Almost as good as Joan’s.
Calming atmosphere but menu is overpriced and staff was unfriendly. Overall won’t go back
Had the pain au chocolat, a double espresso, and a taste of the rhubarb gallette. All were delightfully delicious!
We will be back!
This is such a cute little place and the staff was super nice. The food is also very good and they list the main allergens in the food so you can make sure. I really enjoyed it and will be back.
It had great good but it was incredibly warm in there. They need to turn up the air conditioning.
Coffee was clean and balanced. The Bread Pudding was an excellent choice for breakfast because it wasn't overly sweet like a dessert-based version. The seating was plentiful on both floors but filled up by mid-morning (it was a Saturday) with a lot of families and people with laptops. I'll definitely be back.
This is such a lovely cafe. The food is great and service is prompt. The atmosphere is nice as well. Give it a try if you’re in the neighborhood. I recommend the veggie croque and soup of the day.
One of my favorite places in Chicago for consistently delicious food and desserts.
Beautiful place, great wares, nice mission statement. Lisa is very cool! (Great acoustics upstairs - I did a check with my harmonica - Possible venue for some local food/talent activist meet-ups? - We'll see!)
If you want nice quality of sandwichs/ pastries this is the right place to go. Very clean and cozy. Everything is fresh.
Go for the baked goods, not the breakfast items. The breakfast items are sub par. Scones are good.
The newest girl at this location has gorgeous eyes and is the friendliest server here! I'd buy pastries here everyday if I could to greet her
This might change. But first visit was just ok. Coffee is just ok. Medium roast. Pastries look so beautiful!!! Tried egg and cheese on whole grain. Was ok. I can make way more delish one at home
Great service such an awesome atmosphere and the pastries are amazing. Shout out to Carolina, she is super awesome and has marvelous customer service skills.
Extremely expensive for nothing special food, extremely small portion of food, i never seen something like this in my life
This is a regular weekend stop. If you just need to pick up a loaf of bread, you'll find several great options here - my favourite is the seeded sourdough. They also do great pastries - I enjoy the canele and the buckwheat scone particularly. If you want to sit and eat, there are some great options on the menu - I often go for the quiche which changes quite frequently. Coffee is good too!
Very cute place, great food as well! Nice staff and beautiful pastries and drinks! Also great music is played, and the upstairs is full of sunlight!
It seems like doesn't matter when do you go, they are always packed. Long line and hard to find a table. Everything there is worth the trouble and wait though. They could possibly have the best croissant in the city. Look at the picture to see how perfect and evenly airy it is inside! Bread are fresh and tasty. Haven't had anything subpar yet.
Very nice place. Passion fruit tart was so good and fresh. Coffee was not as good as the dessert.
Floriole is a quaint little bakery in Lincoln Park on Magnolia Street. Like many locales in Chicago, Floriole goes with the open air look in the front when it's nice out. They have street seating as well as seating just inside the doors when they open them up. They also have an upstairs that you can rent out for private events. It did not strike me as a place where you're going for brunch, but rather a place where you go for a pastry and drink. It's a really nice spot, and the perfect place to stop on the way to some other weekend activity. I had a the Chocolat au Pain, which was delicious, and the Iced Green Tea which, hey, was awesome delicious. This is a great spot for a nice little date. Dogs abound outside, and it's got a very European feel to it. The neighborhood is also great, so you can go for a fun little walk after you eat.
I love the coffee. They have a lot of milk alternative options. My favorite is oat milk. The avocado toast and baked egg are delicious. Very good pastries too
Service was very friendly and fast as well. The restaurant was clean and organized, the breads were absolutely delicious.
WOW this place is amazing! Its super chic, it sits in a quiet neighborhood but its a hidden gem. My first time there we got some pastries, we were going to eat lunch but we were super hungry and they have mostly super healthy items so that specific day we didnt want to be healthy..lol . They were so good and the service was great.
Delicious food, lovely service, great atmosphere
This cafe is always busy; it's also a great place to grab a sandwich or croissant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They style is order at the counter and then get a number. Prices are reasonable.
So tasty. Great baked goods and wonderful coffee!
Homey bakery with incredible food. Great place to work or dine. Great for kids too with huge windows looking at the kitchen
The best bread and pastries
pastries and bread were not made by french hands
Dog friendly patio, bright and light cafe with a surprise upstairs lost with more seating. Everything is locally sourced and they have a menu that varies based on what is in season. Great cappuccino and I love their grilled cheese made with butterkase.
Such a cute fun atmosphere, and The spicy tomato soup was fantastic!
Grabbed a couple treats to go which were pretty good. Definitely want to try eating breakfast there, especially the shakshuka.
Peanut butter and jelly cookies? I don't know if that's legal, but it's tasty!
One of the few places for a decent baguette in Chicago
WOW! So delicious, everything looks amazing!
Love this spot so much!!!
This is my favorite coffee shop in chicago.
Parking here is the ONLY drawback Coffee is strong, food is artisanal and they are accommodating. Yes there are the Moms in LULU pants but to be honest they aren't so annoying here as they have just dropped the kids off and they get to eat! Food is very fresh and plentiful
Fresh and simply beautiful...eat here!
One of the best bakeries in Chicago. Call ahead if you need a baguette as availability is inconsistent.
The food always tastes great and fresh.
The parian sandwich is amazing, the croissants are amazing, the bread is amazing, the coffee is pretty damn good
This place is truly amazing. It is always somewhat crowded, but that is because the baked goods are phenomenal. The service is great and it has a work area on the upper floor where you can focus.
Amazing Place. Loved the food.
Fabulous breads and pastry. Bread Baker has won international competitions. Passion fruit tart is incredible. Yummmmm
Great bakery and lunch spot with quiche, soups, salads and sandwiches.
A favorite for great baked goods and uncommonly good cappuccino.
This place serves great pastries and food! Coffee is great and people who work there are very friendly
best pastries in the city
Great neighborhood place. Light meals. Fancy desserts.
Second time in, much better than the first. Highly recommend the quiche- they also have a small but great cold salad selection you can choose one for 5$ or 3 for 13$. Cute for LPK- second floor for additional seating to hold a small meeting.
The staff was very polite, and felt welcome in the environment; However, I couldn’t stay long because of the heat! It felt like it was 100° inside. How are the employees not dead from working in that climate?
Tasty baked goodness. Solid espresso as well.
Good food
Fresh food, friendly service
If you're in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and want the tastiest bakery items and light fare during the day, Floriole is the place to go.
Great atmosphere, great food. Like a Coffee house of the 60's
Dishes are executed well, but maybe not for palates from the burbs (by this I mean the average places in the suburbs are just that, more average/not as adventurous).
This breakfast and lunch spot serves fresh, seasonal dishes in a beautiful, light-filled setting. I'm a fan of the salad trio which allows you to taste all of their homemade salads (grain, veggie, potato) with a side of the daily soup. If the downstairs is crowed go upstairs for a view of their rooftop garden.
Great baked goods and pastries! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The decor is very chic and the aroma... wow!
5 stars for the baked goods, 1 star for the coffee. It's strange they won't let me preorder a specific loaf of bread to pick up on a certain day. It's also annoying they don't have all the baked goods for sale as soon as they open. It looks like they're more focused on selling them to other local businesses. I'll go to Floriole as soon as they open but they won't have a chocolate croissant. But if I go to Intelligentsia as soon as they open they'll already have their daily delivery from Floriole.
Very nice cafe and bakery. The croissants were delicious, the cappuccino and latte were excellent, and the staff and atmosphere was just perfect. Great place to grab a bite and a coffee if in the neighborhood.
Note: this review is solely based on pastry and coffee. I did not order anything else. I came here to kill an hour on a Sunday afternoon. It looked like a nice spot with plenty of seating and good pastries. There was indeed plenty of seating, but everything else ended up disappointing. My order of drip coffee and almond croissant added up to ~$9.50. The croissant was 4.75, which means the 12 oz drip coffee was ~$4 something (i'm not sure how much the tax was). I instantly had a little sticker shock, but I was planning on getting a refill anyways so I figured I would get my money's worth. The almond croissant was really subpar. It was decently big, but it was too dense and overbaked so the texture of the outside was hard, dry, and crunchy. I think they put powdered sugar on it to cover up the fact that it was overdone. When I went to ask for a refill on my drip coffee, the barista informed me that refills are $1. I was a little shocked given that it was already $4 for a 12 oz coffee and the only labor involved is putting my cup back under the spigot. He did at least allow me to hand him a dollar instead of waiting in the 5+ person line, which I appreciated. Overall, to reuse the word, this place was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going out of their way to get coffee or pastries here.
Great, local, quality food, lots of vegetarian options, but meat dishes as well. They have the absolute best French macaroons I've ever had!
Ah-mazing. I'll definitely come here every time I visit Chicago
Three words. Yum. Yum. Yummy. Their avocado toast is my go to. Simple, but very delicious and satisfying. Their never send to be a wait here so I am not sure how they are staying in business. It is in a very convenient location for me which is why I stop here so I am hoping they start open
Mainly a bakery, Floriole also serves breakfast until noon and has snacks and lunch options all day. I've yet to have anything bad between 2 people and 2 visits. I first was steered here by a friend who is a pastry chef because they do French baked goods right, if you have the chance to get a canele please do! Service is really great, barista makes everything with care, servers behind the register are sunny and helpful, and servers dropping off food and bussing tables are nonintrusive and prompt.
They charge $3 for a 12 oz cup of Metropolis coffee and don't offer larger sizes. I can go elsewhere and get 20 oz for under $3...I haven't eaten there and am primarily a coffee drinker so take that into consideration for my score. To their credit they seem to put time and effort into their espresso drinks.
Best croissant in Chicago!
A little pricey, but great coffee shop
Food is prepared with care and attention to detail, besides tasting great. Don't miss the passion fruit tart, croissants, and quiches.
This cafe is amazing!! Good coffee and nice atmosphere. It's the best!
Great place, great service and delicious pastries! I loved their choice of teas and amazing croissants and tarts. Lunch menu looks good too but we did not try it yet. They have seating upstairs which is really nice and quiet. Can't wait to be back!
Great treats and beverages. Good for solo adventures or meeting for work or school.
Good coffee and cute decor. They have a nice outdoor area to enjoy the weather (if it's nice). I ordered a latte and they had soy milk! It was great and the service was nice. They looked like they had some good pastries, but unfortunately I did not try any.
Awesome atmosphere, incredibly fluffy and fresh pastries and quiches
Local bakery with really crafted baked goods. Their Canelles are a must - I'd never had these magical pop-over/custard/carmelized treats before and I love them. But I do not indulge in the $4 fresh little cups of orange juice :/ If they are open, they are busy. Looking to have a shower or daytime party? They are available for private events. They are now offering pizza on Friday nights - I have not been, but their photos look delicious.
Food and place itself is a wonderful neighborhood gem! The service is by far the worst I've experienced. And it's consistent. We are here weekly because of how convenient it is and quality of food. Just have to get past the people who work there to enjoy it.
Great setting! Upstairs loft area to hangout and work. Latte was delicious and very crafty. Service was quick. You can usually find street parking near by which is nice.
Delicious food and a warm atmosphere!
Great atmosphere with a lot of natural light. The brioche is to die for.
Great place to grab lunch! Their food is delicious and the atmosphere gave off a trendy cafe vibe. I ended up getting their turkey melt sandwich which I highly recommend!
Beautiful pastries are made in this place. The bonus is they taste fabulous. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the almond cake that I had. It was so utterly moist and full of flavor.
Absolutely perfect spot for a pastry and a coffee!
Excellent pastry selection. Baguettes looked so inviting. Visited twice over the course of a day, enjoying both lunch and a snack. Sandwiches were on said baguettes; fantastic. Coffee was quite good, and try to sit upstairs. Very inviting.
My favorite spot in the city for coffee and a treat. Their quiche is great too!
Favorite little spot in Chicago- cozy, quaint & makes me feel like i'm back in NYC! Total Love!
Nice good and decent coffee.
A wonderful local bakery & pastry shop they have delicious items for breakfast and lunch. The upstairs seating area is light and bright and wonderful place to meet a friend or sit and work. It's extremely pricey however so be prepared to pay up for the privilege of a beautiful place to sit and higher quality food.
Cute, quiet, friendly and bright. Family-friendly, gorgeous bakery and lovely coffee. Lots out tables and outlets. It's small but still plenty of room to spread out.
Cute store and food food
This place was overcrowded and the staff completely unaffected. Our order was taken by a man with the personality of an old sponge after we’d waited in line for what felt like 20 minutes. We got a cookie that was quite dry and unremarkable and and our beverages were adequate. Edit: I haven’t been back there, but they did respond to my concerns and perhaps it was merely circumstantial.
Good quick lunch. Liked the upstairs seating and chill atmosphere
Well done cafe with a meticulous eye for rustic chic. The two floors make it bigger than it looks from the outside. Everything is extremely well presented. If you've never been there before be aware the register to order is at the corner farthest from the door.
Cute cafe, great baked goods and good coffee.
Excellent espresso, expert baristas, delicious lunch menu, and some of the best pastries and bakery items in the city. The seating areas are comfortable, the atmosphere is beautiful, and it's quiet enough to bring your laptop and get some work done. Floriole is definitely my favorite cafe in the city. You can usually find street parking nearby, and the ability to make NFC payments is a plus.
Okay. Wow. Everything here is good. Sourdough, especially. And they've got some loaf with lavender and caraway. Get that.
Overcrowded. Real pretentious. Cookie was dry.
Stopped in after a yoga class while I was visiting Chicago and fell in love. The pastries are amazing - my husband said the pineapple upside down cake was the best pastry he's ever had. The rhubarb galette and almond croissant were also delicious. Wish we were around longer to try the rest of their menu. Atmosphere inside is nice, too, either for working or for meeting for lunch/coffee. Great service, too!
Um, wow. Yum. Go here. This is a destination bakery. I lived all over france for a year, spent my free time patisserie and boulangerie-hunting, this brings me back...
Good pastries
Amazing food and service
The quality of both the food and the service is always superior. Baked goods (including bread) are baked fresh daily, and never disappoint. It's a really open and fresh layout, with a big window looking into the kitchen. Service is always friendly and personal.
Sat here for an hour once and while eating 3 loaves of delicious breads i saw 83 LP moms...trust me i counted bro
Everyone should try Moonlight Jasmine Tea and the Parisian sandwich at least once!
Stellar execution of every edible item in their case. My high water mark for baked goods. I go here to get inspired about my own baking.
Floriole has the best croissants and fancy desserts. Mikes ahead of the competition.
Great stylus serially every time. My perfect combo: good coffee and almond croissant.
Incredible pastries!
Good coffee, nice baristas. Two levels make it a great place for a meeting, or study. Prices are a little steep, but at least it ain't just another Starbucks. I will definitely be back.
Love this local French bakery which has a vast selection of croissants, cookies, tarts, coffees, bakery items as well as small bowls of chia and yogurt. Everything here is delicious.
Perfect place to stop by on a blustery fall day with its fresh buttery croissants and freshly baked bread. Until today I thought the image of the baker carrying in a tray of freshly baked steaming bread was only an exaggeration of some bygone era. But, here I saw one of the bakers coming out with a tray of freshly baked brioche (can't remember if he wore a baker's hat because I was too distracted by the pillowy billowy goodness on the tray). Of course I got it, and of course it was one of the most delicious bread I've ever had. My new go-to bakery from now.
Great place in Lincoln Park for a brunch with friends! Don’t miss out on having a glass of wine in their outdoor seating area.
Good coffee, good food, and a nice atmosphere. It's a good place to get some work done or just relax
Amazing cafe and bakery. The breads, pastries, and all baked goods are arguably some of if not the best in the city. Come here to enjoy a nice Sunday brunch for sure!
Good bakery and coffee. Clean and spacious :)
The food is great, but it is definitely on the expensive side. Worth going to for the pastries alone.
One of our favorite places for espresso and pastry. The bread is great and their sandwich/salad menu offers some unusual options. Try them. I haven't been disappointed so far.
A bit loud for meetings, but good baked goods.
Great for casual lunch and meeting spot!
Delicious savory and sweets; I came back right after a lunch appointment there to try another pastry!
I tried several sweets and they were all fantastic, especially the chocolate cream pot(that's probably not the exact name), which was wonderfully rich and tasted like a fancy chocolate mousse.
The staff is pleasant. The bakery items are lush, the sandwiches are yummy and lattes and hot chocolate is creamy. They have happy hour every day.
One of my favorite places for breakfast and sweets. Try the basque cake and you won't be disappointed.
The food was amazing! Great place to grab a bite.
Fantastic pastries
Food was good. Service was horrible. Floriole needs to retrain their people. The cashier was slow and not once acknowledged that we were there, not a simple "hey thanks for waiting" which pretty much Customer Service 101. The barista making the drinks (we only ordered an iced pomegranate tea and a lemonade) does not read the whole ticket. He made the iced tea and, when my boyfriend went back to the bar, the barista asked what my boyfriend needed help with. My boyfriend politely said we also ordered a lemonade with the iced tea. He was told "well you gotta back to the cashier cause she didn't charge you." When we can literally see the ticket that says both drinks. Without apologizing he handed my boyfriend the lemonade.
Ok place. Coffee was ok but not amazing, food though definitely let me down. I asked about dairy in a breakfast sandwich and was just told I can't have it. No reason or alternatives. So I picked the oatmeal which did not do it for me at all. Very quiet also in here, which was not great as I was meeting a friend for lunch so we were chatting away whilst the rest of Cafe sat in silence and listened in our conversation. Very awkward.
delicious! and friendly too, they have great farmer's market ingredients and fresh baked goods that always taste great. stop by here in the morning for a latte and scone, but on the weekends its crowded- so be prepared to wait. upstairs seating is sunny and bright so snag a spot when you can
Beautiful cafe, lovely desserrs
Great ice cream treats!
Food is just okay, and it is overpriced.
Awesome coffee and delicious seeded sourdough bread. The food has all tasted great and it's a very cute and quiet place to study!
Beautiful little cafe with great food! The raspberry tart was amazing, as was the peach cobbler -- a little on the pricy side, but well worth it. Wouldn't say that you're feeling "whisked away to Europe," but it is some fantastic food in a wonderful atmosphere.
Friendly staff and great food. If I had to give criticism it would be timing on loaves of bread, 1 day I went in and the Baggetts hadn't come out yet and the next day I came in a half hour later and they were sold out of all loaves. It is not their fault though that they are so good that locals devour their goods at unpredictable rates on the weekends.
Clean with modern furnishings. Cappuccino was good, a variety of pastries available.
Great variety and flaky pastries
